Question on process integrator

Sir i need to merge two tables from heterogeneous data sources and apply multiple join conditions. The tables contain very large data volumes.
What is the recommended method to maximize performance and reduce system resources pls reply back soon sir

Create intermediate table in data base it self, this table should hold the data from two tables, pick up the data from intermediate table using JDBC Sender CC, this is one good way to achieve your req.

  • Upgrade SAP 7.1 Process Integration

    Hello to All.
I have a question about Process Integration .Recently I upgrade to SAP PI 7.1  so I need test all components
When I clicking in a BPM. I cannot edit because show a message :"Objects in commponent cannot be changed because the original it's no defined"
    Can you help me.?
    Thanks and regards.

    Hi,
If you import the Software Component you cannot modify be default.Enable the Objects are Modifiable option for SWC
Use these two attributes to define the properties for all objects of the software component version:
                                a.      Objects Are Original Objects:
The objects of the software component version are the original objects in the repository belonging to the Integration Builder, and should only be modified in this repository. There can only be one original object, in other words, you must not set this attribute for multiple software component versions of other repositories simultaneously.
                                b.      Objects Are Modifiable:
When set, this attribute enables you to change objects in the software component version. Use this attribute to lock all objects against changes, if required.

    Hi!
I am about to configure SAP PI. The step I executing:
    Importing Process Integration Content
    Question:
which Process Integration Content do I need when I use SAP NetWeaver 7.0
    (PI_Basis_2005_1_700)?
    Thank you very much!

    Hi!
    Thank you!
Unfortunately PI_Basis_2005_1_700 does not solve the problem.
I imported the SAP_Basis component and now I can access to Configuraiton.
    Thank you!

  • Process Integrator authorization question

Regarding the API that Process integrator exposes for both the client and server
is there any authorization performed at the EJB and method level. I haven't found
any documentation on this. For example, I log in as a non-admin user into Process
Integrator and use the EJB Admin object to try and create a template definition,
but I shouldn't have the permission to do this.

I don't know much about WLPI, but I have forwarded this along internally and
someone should be contacting you soon.

    Hi,
I'm not sure where to ask a Process Integrator question so I have
decided to ask here. I have been asked to look at business
process (workflow) automation. I have read the datasheet and your
whitepaper on Process Integrator and my question at the moment
is "How do we integrate Process Integrator with existing sets of
EJB's? How does it tie together with WebLogic 5.1 (is it a bunch
of EJB's deployed on top of the app server ala Commerce Server)?
I'm looking for more technical answers so that I have some
understanding in estimating how much work/effort it would take
to use this product. I also know that this is your engine for your
future Collaborate product, however, that product will not be
available soon enough to tackle our customers current needs.
Thanks for your patience in reading this long message and
I would appreciate any answers including "forget about it until

technical reason to my manager about why we should
    consider using Process Integrator.

  • Whats the difference between PROCESS INTEGRATION & INTEGARTION PROCESS

    hey All
I was just going through one of the tutorials provided in
http://www.help.sap.com  , its related to Process Integartion Scenario  and i also came across one more tutorial related to Integration Process.
For * Process Integration* it was there like *A Process Integration scenario is a design object of the Enterprise Services Builder, is uniquely identified by a name and a namespace, and is subject to versioning.*
    url : http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/ec/21ee117a909f44a8b69794b9ed6221/content.htm
for Integration Process it was +*An integration process is an executable cross-system process for processing messages. In an integration process you define all the process steps to be executed and the parameters relevant for controlling the process.
You apply integration processes when you want to define, control, and monitor complex business processes that extend across enterprise and application boundaries. The design and processing of integration processes is also known as cross-component Business Process Management (cross-component BPM, ccBPM), or service orchestration.

    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/3c/831620a4f1044dba38b370f77835cc/content.htm
So my question is , whether both are same or different , as far my view it different , i think integration processes is one of term inside Process integration as told in URL , please guys see to this

    Hi Abhishek,
Integration process (IP) refers to BPM. you will find the IP in the ccBPM, Business Process Management.
An integration process is an executable, cross-system process for processing messages.
Process Integration(PI), Now Xi is known as Process Integration PI is a term that is used to in  the Integration Broker of the NetWeaver Architecture.
View the below  link you will get the related more information.

For meeting and Dial-in detail please register [here|http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=qkBfQCM5FM_2f_2b4O0ihVpFRw_3d_3d]
    Thanks & Best Regards,
    Sarma Sishta

    Hi,
This was one of the good session...
    Especially the features such as;
-- TCP/IP connection control with JMS adapters
    -- Empty file Handling
-- Set the various Attributes for Mail attachments via dynamic configuration (intially only subject line was possible)
    -- Message Prioritization
-- single IDOC Ack for IDOC Packaging
    -- IDOC packaging
    -- and many more........................
Even the future indicatioon of IDOC J2EE based adapter will provide new direction to the existion IDOC related scenarios..
One thing that was changed in IDOC packaging is to control it via Sender Communication channel...intially we were doing it either via ECC system or with t-code "idxpw"
Its almost in same way...but from J2EE based adapter perceptive IDOC packaging will be available with Java stack...and will no need to depend only ABAp stack for this feature.
    Thanks

  • Problems with Use Cases for Process Integration

    Hi there,
I'm reading the "Simple Use Cases for Process Integration" (http://service.sap.com/xi -> Media Library ->
Documentation) and try to setup the variants 1 up to 4. As per description I created the Technical and Business Systems in the SLD. Everything worked fine. But I can't find the created business systems in the Integration Directory When I click on Objects tab page -> Services without party and and choose Assign Business System, I can't see the desired business systems in the list. What am I doing wrong?
    Cheers
    Marc

    hi Marc,
maybe the business system was already assigned?
    1. check if the business system exists in the SLD
    2. check if the business system exists in directory
    3. refresh SLD cache (in directory menu)
    4. try assigning once more

  • Process Integration with Biztalk?

Hello, are any of you using Biztalk as your middleware for process integration?  If so, would you mind sharing some of your experiences with this solution?  We're in the process of buiding a business case as we migrate to SAP AFS from our old and antiquated ERP system.  Thanks.

This is a forum for the product "SAP Process Integration", not for process integration in general.
I am sure, Microsoft offers a forum for BizTalk. Put your question there.

  • Urgent: Guided Procedure VS Process Integration

    Dear Guru,

  • SLD Technical System Process Integration

    Hi XI Gurus,
I have a question regarding the 5th type of Technical Systems, Process Integration. Is it automatically generated once XI is restarted? In Note 764176, it's telling me to remove the PI technical systems. How can I recreate them? Will they be generated automatically or will we input them manually? Thanks!

    Hi,
Ideally, you need to have 2 Technical System entries for your PI system and 6 entries for Technical System Type 'Exchange Infrastructure'.
the first category (i.e 2 systems) suppose to get deployed automatically using RZ70 (ABAP) and SLD Data Supplier (java).
And the 2nd catergory (i.e 6 entries) suppose to also get deployed automatically but in case, If you do not find them all here is the workaround to get them
    1. If XI Integration Directory  or XI Integration Repository not found then, Please start these tools from default tools page (http://<hostname>:<http port>/dir) upon starting these 2 components you will see them added in SLD
    2. If Adapter Engine not found then, logon NWA, stop & start XPI Service: AF Core & XPI facade: Adapter Framework (Navigation - Configuration Management->Infrastructure->Java System Properties); this should help you get Adapter Engine
    3. The other 3 entries, Domain, Integration Server and RWB should come and usually comes always with automatic installation.
    4. If you still do see after following above instructions, i suggest delete all of them both Technical specific & Exchange Infrastracture" related entries from SLD and then re-deploy RZ70, push 'Collect and Send data' option from 'SLD Data Supplier'  from NWA.
ofcourse, you can always follow the instructions provided in the note that you were refering.

  • Installation of Weblogic Process Integrator

Can someone let me know where to install Process Integrator from ? The BEA link for downloading Process INtegrator takes me to entire platform download which after installation does not show up Process Integrator applications anywhere
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Krishna,
Hopefully I can help answer your questions.
1.) Yes, the client can be installed on a machine other then the server, and on a machine that has a different OS then the server.
2.) You will need a separate domain in Weblogic in order to use the J2EE agent and/or the ODI console (a web interface into the ODI metadata).
3.) I have not personally read any ODI books, but the Oracle By Examples site has some pretty decent tutorials to follow.
    Good luck!

  • Questions on process chains

    Hai all,
I have two questions on Process chains.
    1. I created a process chain for master data and a process chain for data loads(with ODS and cube). As the Master data has to be loaded first before loading transaction data, can I include the Master data process chain as a local process chain soon after the start process and then only after loading master data, the system proceeds to transaction data?
    2. I designed a process chain with the aggreagtion and compression of cube data. I have forgot to check the option delete overlapping requests in the infopackage to load the infocube. I ran the process chain and now there are 2 requests and the duplicate documents. I want to delete the recent request and check the deleting duplicate requests option in info package and re run. The problem is the system is not allowing me to delete the recent request.
I appreciate any kind of help.
    Thanks.

    Hai Bhanu,
Thanks for the reply. I am sceduling the request for deletion in the Manage infocube> but the request is not getting deleted. Everytime I click refresh, the delete icon disappears and the screen becomes as it was before scheduing the deletion. I checked after sometime, even then the same thing...
I wonder the collpased requests can not be deleted???

  • Some questions about the integration between BIEE and EBS

    Hi, dear,
I'm a new bie of BIEE. In these days, have a look about BIEE architecture and the BIEE components. In the next project, there are some work about BIEE development based on EBS application. I have some questions about the integration :
    1) generally, is the BIEE database and application server decentralized with EBS database and application? Both BIEE 10g and 11g version can be integrated with EBS R12?
    2) In BIEE administrator tool, the first step is to create physical tables. if the source appliation is EBS, is it still needed to create the physical tables?
    3) if the physical tables creation is needed, how to complete the data transfer from the EBS source tables to BIEE physical tables? which ETL tool is prefer for most developers? warehouse builder or Oracle Data Integration?
    4) During data transfer phase, if there are many many large volume data needs to transfer, how to keep the completeness? for example, it needs to transfer 1 million rows from source database to BIEE physical tables, when 50%is completed, the users try to open the BIEE report, can they see the new 50% data on the reports? is there some transaction control in ETL phase?
could anyone give some guide for me? I'm very appreciated if you can also give any other information.
    Thanks in advance.

    1) generally, is the BIEE database and application server decentralized with EBS database and application? Both BIEE 10g and 11g version can be integrated with EBS R12?You, shud consider OBI Application here which uses OBIEE as a reporting tool with different pre-built modules. Both 10g & 11g comes with different versions of BI apps which supports sources like Siebel CRM, EBS, Peoplesoft, JD Edwards etc..
    2) In BIEE administrator tool, the first step is to create physical tables. if the source appliation is EBS, is it still needed to create the physical tables? Its independent of any soure. This is OBIEE modeling to create RPD with all the layers. If you build it from scratch then you will require to create all the layers else if BI Apps is used then you will get pre-built RPD along with other pre-built components.
    3) if the physical tables creation is needed, how to complete the data transfer from the EBS source tables to BIEE physical tables? which ETL tool is prefer for most developers? warehouse builder or Oracle Data Integration?BI apps comes with pre-built ETL mapping to use with the tools majorly with Informatica. Only BI Apps 7.9.5.2 comes with ODI but oracle has plans to have only ODI for any further releases.
    4) During data transfer phase, if there are many many large volume data needs to transfer, how to keep the completeness? for example, it needs to transfer 1 million rows from source database to BIEE physical tables, when 50%is completed, the users try to open the BIEE report, can they see the new 50% data on the reports? is there some transaction control in ETL phase?User will still see old data because its good to turn on Cache and purge it after every load.
