Question on reinstall to same PC ?

Hello,
Both my Photoshop Elements 9 and Premiere Elements 9 stopped suddenly working. I decided to reinstall. Removed Elements 9 to start with and did not deactivate license key because do not know how to do it and was not sure should it be deactivated when reisntalling to the same PC. Now my PC cannot read the installation disc anymore. Can somebody tell me what I can do now to get my PC read the installation disc ? And to get my Elements 9 reinstalled. And how do you deinstall your license key, and should it be done when reinstalling to same PC ?
Thanks a lot,

Hello,
I am not trying to install to another PC, but to the same that I already installed the programs to. My problem is that both my Photoshop Elements 9.0 and Photoshop Premiere Elements 9 stopped working. I then deinstalled Adobe Photoshop Elements, got a wwarning that I should first inactivate the license key. Did not do it because do not know how to do it, and was thinking that I do not need to do it because will reinstall to the same PC. When the deinstallation was complete and I tried to reinstall, my PC does not read the installation CD anymore.
And yes, I know my CD is ok, because I tested it in another computer and yes, the other computer can read it. So there is perhaps a problem with the licence key not having been deactived before deinstall ?
Thanks for your help, waiitng for your answer,
Eva Gibielle

If you put the CD in another computer is the disc able to mount successfully?

    Thanks.

I stumbled upon the solution. In addition to downloading Creative Cloud, I needed to go back to the website and  download trials for the programs I want to use--Photoshop and Lightroom. Once I did that, I was in business. Would save trouble if that was made clear on the download site.
    Thanks

I have the same thing happening on my iPod Touch 5th gen. Been happening for at least a month. I have updated to the most recent version of iOS which hasn't solved the issue. Must be a bug that they didn't get around to resolving yet, a year later. Really annoying to have it pop up when you are in the middle of a game though.

  • Update 12.1 installed with Error 7 (Windows error 126).  Reinstalled.  Same error.  Uninstalled all Apple products.  Reinstalled iTunes.  Same error.  Updated to 12.1.1. Same error message.  Uninstalled everything.  Reinstalled 12.1.1.  Same error.

Same error message.  Uninstalled everything.  Reinstalled 12.1.1.  Same error message.  iTunes runs and plays my music, but the error message remains.  It doesn't hinder my music playing, but it is annoying.  And, this is all done on my work computer.  I have not unpdated iTunes on my home laptop, cause I don't want to have to deal with this error message.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

MY mac wont start past the gray screen. I tried starting on safe boot, single user user mode , recovery mode. Everything it gets stuck on the gray screen i even tried reinstalling it , same thing what should i do? it lets me reinstall sometimes Sometimes....  it is weird.

    orshikhfromsc,
boot from the Mac OS X Install DVD that originally came in the box with your MacBook Pro (by holding down the C key as it starts up). When the desktop appears, select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu and erase your internal disk. After it’s been erased, reformat it. After it’s been reformatted, exit Disk Utility and reïnstall the version of Mac OS X from that DVD onto your internal disk. After that version of Mac OS X has been reïnstalled, boot from your internal disk and run Software Update to get it up-to-date within that version; that should allow you to redownload and reïnstall Mavericks, if  desired. If Mavericks is reïnstalled, run Software Update again to get it up to date.
If you no longer have the two grey installation DVDs, you can purchase a replacement set from either Apple or iFixit.

    Hi,
After reinstall the Same version of N96's firmware using Nokia Software Updater, press *#0000#, and then Device Manager is opened, but I found the Latest Update in Device Manager shows Not Updated.
Is this normal? whether the NSU updating normal or not?

Even though the iPod shows as been connected, it might not have actually received a valid IP address via DHCP from your Wi-Fi access point or router.  Head to Settings -> Wi-Fi and tap the > next to the network you are connected. If 169.xxx.xxx.xxx is listed for an IP Address, then your iPod did not receive a valid IP address.  To correct this you can reboot your router by unplugging it from power for about 30 seconds.
It wouldn't hurt to also reset your iPod.  To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.

  • Question about reinstalling Leopard

I just did an erase and install of Leopard... but I made the mistake of using Monolingual to remove every language but English... a mistake because now I cannot upgrade Office (and from what I've been reading also some Adobe apps).
My question is this... can I just run the install of leopard again and not lose data, settings etc in all my apps? And what about the apps like Photoshop, iWork, and Office that had to be installed manually... will they still be in in working order after a re-install?
    thanks,
    tom

No, reinstalling OS X won't help because it does not affect Office or Adobe products. You have to uninstall Office and all the Adobe applications. Then reinstall them from their respective installer discs. You will then be able to upgrade them.
    Uninstalling Software: The Basics
Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash. Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder. Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space. If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application. In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder. You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder. You can also delete the folder that's in the Applications Support folder. Again, they don't do anything but take up disk space once the application is trashed.
Some applications may install a startupitem or a Log In item. Startupitems are usually installed in the /Library/StartupItems/ folder and less often in the /Home/Library/StartupItems/ folder. Log In Items are set in the Accounts preferences. Open System Preferences, click on the Accounts icon, then click on the LogIn Items tab. Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the "-" button to delete it from the list.
Some software use startup daemons or agents that are a new feature of the OS. Look for them in /Library/LaunchAgents/ and /Library/LaunchDaemons/ or in /Home/Library/LaunchAgents/.
If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term. Unfortunately Spotlight will not look in certain folders by default. You can modify Spotlight's behavior or use a third-party search utility, Easy Find, instead. Download Easy Find at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.
Some applications install a receipt in the /Library/Receipts/ folder. Usually with the same name as the program or the developer. The item generally has a ".pkg" extension. Be sure you also delete this item as some programs use it to determine if it's already installed.
There are also several shareware utilities that can uninstall applications:
    AppZapper
    CleanApp
    Yank
    SuperPop
    Uninstaller
    Spring Cleaning
Look for them at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.

  • Help/Question with Reinstall  OSX 10.2.1 on iBook G4

First off...I just want to say that if someone can take the time to assist me I would appreciate it more than you know! Now...on to my issue:
    History:
I have a iBook G4 running, I think on either 10.3 or 10.4 (I can't tell you now because it won't start up). I have the discs for 10.2.1 that came with the computer. I purchased my iBook from a roommate of mine a few years back and before selling it to me he loading 10.3 or 10.4, and I don't have those discs.
I was having an issue at start up...It would load to the point where I could see the picture I had on my desktop, and the dock would come up. Then it would stop and none of the icons on my desktop would show and neither would the menu bar at the top of the screen. When I clicked on an application in the dock, it would not load...the computer was trying (you could hear it) but it never would load it.
So, I did some online searching (using my wife's MacBook...yes, I wish we had two) and used the disk utility to verify my disc. It said the "keys were out of order". So, I clicked repair, and it said that it repaired "Book B" (at least I think that's what it said).
So, I restarted my computer, and now it comes to the gray screen with the clear spinning thing as though it is about to load. It sits there a while, and then just shuts off. So, I tried to reset the PRAM and that didn't do anything either.
    Problem I now have:
I am now to the point that I am thinking I need to reinstall OSX...as said, I have the 10.2.1 discs that came with it upon purchase, but I know my roommate upgraded me to a newer version. I have lots of documents on here that I don't want to lose (and programs I don't have the discs for) and I plan to choose the "Archive and Install" and "Preserve User and Network Settings" Options.
    Questions:
Is this what I should do?
    and if so...
Will installing an older version than what I currently have any negative impact on the install or in me keeping my current documents and programs?

DiskWarrior is the only application that "can" fix this problem, but there is no 100% guarantee. You need to get the DW CD & boot from the CD to fix the problem.
Look at these links about DW.
    http://supportdb.alsoft.com:591/FMPro?-db=alsoftsupport&-lay=main&-max=15&-forma t=AlsoftSupport-qa.html&-script=counter&-token=182&-Skip=101&-find
    http://www.jimarnold.org/blog/2008/10/keys-out-of-order-on-macbook-diskwarrior-t o-the-rescue/
I assume you don't have a backup of your hard drive, or you could just erase the hard drive & copy the backup files to it. Your next investment should be to buy & use an external hard drive for backup. You can get one for about the price + of DW.

  • HT1926 Attempting to update Itunes, received System Error: "program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing form computer" try reinstalling the program to fix problem. Question , if reinstall Itunes via download, do I lose my music library?

Attempting to update itunes, received system error" Program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from computer, try reinstalling the program to fix the problem. Question, I can't access Itunes to backup library, how do I reinstall without loosing music library?

It doesn't matter and doing a manual install will not fix the problem either.  I'm looking for a solution but no luck yet.  I think Apple has given us a bad update.

  • When I try to put a location into maps it shuts down. Reinstalled - the same. It happens on two 5s phones. help

We have two iPhone 5s. On both when trying to put in the location in maps, the app shuts down. If I reinstall the software, Maps are working, but when I restore my iPhone Maps aren't working again. This is happening on both iPhones. Any idea what I could do?

While we all have MacBooks in this forum not all of us use iMovie. There's a iMovie Support Community where everybody uses iMovie. You should also post this question there to increase your chances of getting an answer. https://discussions.apple.com/community/ilife/imovie

  • Can only open FF one time without rebooting. Have reinstalled. Same problem

Firefox worked fine until 5.0 on this pc. Now, have to reboot or even uninstall/reinstall to get it to open. Then it will only open once.
5.0 works fine on my laptop, just not thid desktop.

I am not having the same issue, and I am running 10.5.2 OS and 6.0.2 FCP. I also have FCP 6.0.2 on a computer running 10.4.11 and I have duplicate media on both systems, and bring a file back and forth and don't have to connect the media one at a time. This was a wide spread problem with 6.0.1, and the 6.0.2 update fixed that for most people. Why you are still having that problem is odd. Try trashing your FCP prefs with FCP RESCUE, and also try repairing your permissions with the Disk Utility.

the last itunes update failed - getting error R6034 attemp to load C runtime library incorrectly. Program reference - Program C;/prgram files (x86)\tunes\itunes.exe - can anyone help. I tried to use epir and did an uninstall and reinstall and still geting same error

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

  • Downloaded Itunes to Windows 8. When opening Itunes error message 'Apple Application Support is required to run ITunes. Please uninstall Itunes, then install ITunes again.' I have uninstalled and reinstalled still same error received.

I downloaded ITunes onto my computer with Windows 8. Each time I try to open it I get the same error of "Apple Application Support was not found. Apple Application Support is reuired to run iTues. Please uninstall ITunes, then install ITunes again. Error 2 (Windows error 2)". I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it multiple times and continue to get the same error. I am unsure of how to fix this.

Let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you? If so, does iTunes launch properly now?
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)
