We are currently using Seeburger 17 SP20 High Tech Adapter
It has the following X12 Message Mappings (items bolded do not have mapping documentation)

A_850_V4010_to_I_ORDERS05
A_855_V4010_to_I_ORDERS05
A_856_V4010_to_I_DELVRY03
FunctionalAcknowledgement_to_A_997_ALL

But only has documentation for a subset
A_850_V4010_IN_INDUSTRY.xls

I have the following questions
1) Does documentation for the other mappings exist
2) Do mappings exist for the following message types, we have requirements to use these mapping for integration with a third party logistics provider

You could buy only the AS2 adapter. As per my knowledge, the license changes according to the adapters you buy. If you opt to buy only the AS2 adapter, then it will not include the BIC, Mapping designer etc.

SEEBURGER's VAN Adapter

The SEEBURGER FTP/VAN Adapter is responsible for transmitting files according to the File Transfer Protocol, with the particular support of various VANs. This protocol was installed as a user gateway protocol by several of the largest VAN providers, such as IBM, GE and Sterling IIB and Sterling Commerce.
The FTP/VAN adapter must be configured in the configuration part of the Integration Builder. The adapter is based on the Adapter Framework and is executed by the SAP J2EE Adapter Engine as shown in the diagram below.
The FTP/VAN Adapter supports the following protocols:
IBMIE VAN, all report options.
GEIS (GeMarkIII) and GeMark3000, all report options, report file is only extracted, if needed.
EXITE (ECODEX), EDIFACT file processing, DISPATCHED reports.
Sterling Commerce and Sterling IIB.
MCI EDI*Net.
The following FTP options are supported:
SSL, both IMPLICIT and AUTH_TLS support, server authentication.
All popular FTP proxy types like: USERWL, USERWOL, SITEWL, OPENWOL.
Active and Passive connection modes.
"KeepAlive" feature.
Binary, ASCII and custom transfer types.

Seeburger adapters like FTP,OFTPS,AS2,X400 are used for B2B scenario where the file is coming through WAn network or mailbox. As XI dont have capability to convert the EDIFACT format file to XML the same work will be done by seeburger adapters.
The SEEBURGER Business Integration Converter (BIC) is an any-to-any format converter, used to translate EDI data and legacy data formats into XML and vice versa. It can also be used for complex, high performance XML-to-XML mappings or to interface to existing JDBC data sources.
Supported EDI formats include:
ANSI
EDIFACT
INHOUSE
IDOC
XML Schema
XML DTD
CSV
Delimited Data
positional data
SWIFT
EANCOM
and many more.
See for converting the EDI XML to EDI and XML-EDI you need to have a seeburger mapping program at the adapter module which does the conversion. For this module you need a BIC tool of seeburger which provides the different module program for EDI to XML and XML-EDI. This program needs to be deployed on XI and through adapter it has to be called for conversion.
Seeburger provides the std mapping program which has to be deploy on to XI and we need to give it to module tab in adapter which does the conversion.
Here are the some of the std mapping program which is provided by seeburger.

Problems with Seeburger FTP Receiver adapter

I am working on a scenario sending ORDERS05 Idocs to EDI vendors.
For this i have configured Seeburger Receiver FTP adapter with 2 modules to convert XML-EDI format. Since this is the test, I have pointed Seeburger to local FTP server with following settings
Hostname <Hostname of our FTP server>
Port <Port # of our FTP server>
Host Path/VAN partner id <some local directory of FTP server>
Payload mode: Maindocument.
At runtime i received following exception
Message could not be forwarded to the JCA adapter. Few questions related to this
1] can we use Seeburger adapter to generate EDI files on local FTP server
2] If not Seeburger can we use normal File adapter to do the same. I tried the same by configuring BIC module in File adapter so that it would convert XML to EDI format and was hoping file to be generated on FTP server. It generated one line XML file with following text "<info>Converted message locates in a attachment</info>". Any idea how to retreive attachments in File receiver adapter (as far as i know no attachments are supported in File receiver adapter).
Any idea how to generate EDI files with Seeburger FTP on test server?

HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC Battery Adapter Message

I have an HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook (product # A5F76AV) and recently every time I plug it in with the adapter that was provided with it, a message in a box appears on the bottom right hand corner of my screen saying that I need a higher power adapter, and this causes me to randomly drop in FPS when I play a video game. How do I solve this? Thanks.

I see that you're still having an issue with the error message prompting you to get a higher power adapter.
Here is a couple of workarounds -
NON-OPTIMAL WORKAROUND I discovered that if you simply remove the battery while using the computer in AC mode. The messages stop. Apparently they appear whenever the computer switches between AC and battery power. It works vice-versa as well, when running on battery power only.
ANOTHER WORKAROUND As I was going through all of this, I discovered that changing the power configuration from "Power Saver" to "HP Recommended (Recommended)" the messages stopped. I did this however while the battery was removed, and it is possible that the battery should be out when you do this.
ALSO, The OEM adapter by the way is 65 watts -- people on other forums suggested that anything under 60 watts should be replaced no matter what. We had it plugged into a very old surge protector, which conceivably could have been robbing power. So we now have it directly in the wall. (Did this after stopping messages with the different power config, so I don't know if it would have worked -- but try it anyway).

Channel Management u2013 High Tech Integration

Hi All,
Right now we are working on Implementation for High Tech Channel Management. Can any one Help me How we integrate CRM with R3 for High Tech Scenarios.
As per I know when a Transmission message ( Tcode - CMS_TM ) comes in thru EDI, I need create a Delivery/Billing for credit memo request in R3 when it is released. I donu2019t know the Complete process.
My main Question is how we integrate this process with CRM to R3. Do we use CRM Middleware to do this? If so, what Replication Object we use for this in CRM. Currently I have found a Publication 'All CMS contracts (MESG)' with BDoc BUS_CMSCON_MSG will it support Channel Management High Tech scenario (Process which I mentioned above).
Kindly advise on this as I am new to High Tech Channel Management. It would be appreciated if you able to explain me the process of Resale & Claim Transmission and Price Bucket and its backend Integration Details.

Configuring a Seeburger FTP Receiver Adapter

Hello,
I am trying to build a scenario where SAP ECC 6 sends an invoice to a customer via EDI.
We are using ECC 6.0 and PI 7.0 and the Generic Seeburger EDI Adapters. The VAN is a GEIS EDISWITCH VAN (Eircom in Ireland).
I am able to successfully send an IDoc from ECC 6 and into PI where a Seeburger map converts the message to EDI-XML format. I can use a file adapter to create a file in normal EDI format. But I can't get the Seeburger FTP adapter to work with the VAN.
I have configured the correct IP, port, username and password but I keep getting the following message when the communication channel tries to send the message:

The FTP session is expecting a PUT command with the recipient id and APRF as parameters but these are not getting passed. I suspect this is because I am not passing the correct variables to the receiver adapter but I don't know what variables it expects and where they should be specified. And I can't find the answers in the documentation.
Can anyone shed some light on what I need to do?

There is nowhere in the communication channel configuration that allows me to specify the receiver ID or the APRF. The documentation say this is read from the EDI data and the relevant fields are populated.

SEEBURGER AS2: AS2 Adapter failure -- CryptoApiException: Access Denied.

I am trying to send AS2 message to my partner by using Certificates and I am getting the following error at AS2 receiver adapter.Looks like it doesn't have User Credentials to access the certificates.But we provided all the details.We are not sure where it is going wrong.

1) First of all create the Seeburger Certificates.
2) You have to deploy those certiates in your Visual Administrator.
After that in Interration Builder -

Adapter Framework File Adapter Message on hold

Hello,
we have a problem with the Adapter Framework and their the File Adapter / Messaging System.
We process one HR IDOC from R/3 through XI and send it to 7 file adapters. The SXMB_MONI tells us that all messages have been processed without errors and when you go to the RWB and use the Message-Monitoring many messages are on status HOLD. XI makes the message EOIO once you have multiple receivers and something blocks the messages in the AF. Is there a way to delete the AF queues like the XI queues with SMQ1 or SMQ2. It looks like SAP had duplicated the SMQ business in JAVA but I found no documentation how to clean up queues or what to do if the get stuck.

but if you see them when you do it then
it means that this XI's configuration was not complete
so you may expect further problems

SEEBURGER AS2: AS2 Adapter failure - Cannot authenticate the user

All was working fine but now I got these errors in an AS2 scenario. Sending a message via AS2. Also we don't receive any messages via AS2 anymore. This is the error when sending a message:

Are you using the "Use Authentication" option in the communication channel? If yes, then ensure that the user provided is correct and is not locked. Also recheck the authentication certificate settings.

Adapter message monitoring: message in HOLD

Hi,
since we changed a scenario:
a) old scenario: R/3 --> XI --> BPM --> XI --> FTP
b) new scenario R/3 --> XI --> FTP
the messages stuck in adapter message monitoring.
Message-Interface is the same, CC is the same; just the way through BPM was canceled.
any suggestions?

Hi Mario,
messages are in status HOLD, when they need to be sent in exact order (EOIO), and an error occured in one (or more) queues. When you solve this error, restart the first message from the queue after this error and the items will be processed.
How to do that:
Go to messaging system servlet, find your message (in hold status) and click the Eye icon - Details. Now read the Conversation ID value - which is your queue ID.
Go to RWB, message monitoring, choose adapter engine( from combobox)-> display.Now click additional criteria, put the value of Conversation ID to conversation ID textbox. Start search. You'll see a lot of messages there in hold status I think, But find the one in System Error status. Try to resend this message, if it will not change its status (will still be in in System error), cancel it. Now restart first message from the queue, which was after this wrong one.
This should release the queue and process items.

   I have a question about the posibility to share a value among severals messages mappings and use it in an operation mapping.
   How can I do it?
   An example:
       I have three message mappings( graphical and Java mappings ) where in the first message I have a value that I have to use in last mapping. In the operation mapping those mappings are executed in sequencial mode.

   The solution for this issue was to create an attribute in a function library and the trick is:
      this solution doesn't work in design time when you test in the Operation Mapping test option but in runtime the solution works.

Industry Solution for High Tech Manufacturing - how to activate?

Hello,
I'm Basis consultant installing ECC 6.0 at a client site. The client company has purchased a package from SAP that includes the " SAP Industry Solution for High Tech Manufacturing ."
My question is: how is this installed? Is this part of ECC-DIMP, and thus can be activated after installation of ECC. If so, can this be activated and tested in a newly created client copy, or does the activation need to take place prior to a client copy?
If not part of ECC-DIMP, does this purchase refer to Best Practices for High Tech, which does require additional software. In this case I believe I will need to install the Baseline package for BP, then the specific BP for High Tech.
Follow-up question:
1. Could either of these be installed later, or would that break existing new configuration?

Higher Powered Adapter

I was getting an error message saying that I should use a higher powered adapter, but I'm using the cord that came with the laptop, Model HP G60. I've taken it to a local computer store who verified that the cord is the appropriate one for my laptop.
In prep for a car trip to watch DVDs, I plugged the cord into an adapter which was then plugged into the fuse box of the car. The adapter started smoking. The cord was not plugged into the laptop and I haven't plugged the cord into the laptop since as I'm afraid it may do something to the laptop.
Also, I'm having trouble installing Adobe Flash Player and cannot open PDF files.
The computer was purchased in November, 2009.

On the AC Adapter alert you are getting...have you or local Computer Store tried different good known AC Adapter, to see if the alert goes away...This alert is come up, it the connection with AC port on the notebook is loose or the system is not getting enough power....
