Question on Storage

In my settings, my "Storage" indicator sez Ive used 15.3G of the 16G available, and I get warning messages about it...but it doesn't make sense to me cuz all I have is 1600 contacts, about 80 pictures, no downloaded games. I do have about 10 saved websites websites saved to my home screen, and my Dropbox has less than 3G of data in it. The only apps I have are the built ins, and a dictionary, and a couple others. It doesn't make any sense to me. My "Memory" has over 1.4G left othe 2G available....what goes into Storage???

Any android or sideloaded app?
Likewise, Do you have email with large or many attachments? I noticed after my last wipe and OS reload, my device storage had lots of space freed up, several GBs which I can't explain other than apps and attachments, and in some cases videos I had stored ON the media card, but they also create cache files in the device storage.

  • Basic question about storage and safety in iMovie '11

A very basic question about storage and safety:
I want to keep a backup of my raw footage on my external hard drive prior to begin working on the movie in iMovie. I want to do this:
    1. Upload the digital files from my camcorder to my Desktop *(as opposed to iMovie)*
    2. Duplicate that footage/clips.
    3. Put the duplicate clips/footage into a folder labeled with the name of that footage (like "Fun At the Dentist" or "Jimmy Learns How to Yodel").
    4. Drag the folder with the footage/clips into my external hard drive into a pre-existing folder titled "Backups/duplicates of all of my raw footage/clips." This big granddaddy folder will house all of the child folders of different movies.
5 Then, open up iMovie '11 and import the raw footage/clips from my Desktop rather than from my camcorder.
    6. Then I want to make a duplicate of my finished movie and put it in my external hard drive in a "Finished Movies" folder.
I know that the original raw unedited footage will always be in iMovies '11 but I want the original to also exist immediately accessible in my external hard drive.
    QUESTION:
Is this viable? Is it wise? (I know it goes an extra unnecessary step, but aside from that.)
*Do you have any precautionary advice?* Should I do something in my iMovies '11 preferences? What?
In earlier years with iMovie '04 or '06 (cannot recall) I made many novice errors and ended up losing audio to my finished movie. I also lost footage.
This time around with iMovie '11 I don't to make such novice, ignorant errors.
Thanks so much for any comments to this question.
    -L

Yes I'm sure it will work great for you.
The iFrame format is something Apple has come up with. The reason for its existence is unknown to me so I can only speculate. But it seems to me that Apple "invented" this format in order to have devices such as Ipod/Ipad/Iphone/Ixxx create clips that are editable on consumer hardware such as already mentioned devices but also standard Mac computers, without the need for format conversion.
iMovie converts most input formats during import, which takes a lot of time, and this need for conversion often comes as a surprise to most people new to home video editing.
iFrame has a resolution of 960x540 which is long way from the common standards of 1920x1080 and 1280x720. If your end target is YouTube however, this may not be too bad though. However if you intend to go with YouTube HD, you may find iFrame footage to look wrong since they are effectively upscaled to a higher resolution.
Technically iFrame uses the H.264 algorithm, a smaller frame size (960x540) and a rather low compression scheme. This will result in large files, but the plus side is that the files are ready for editing without the need for any conversion and iMovie will natively edit the files.

  • VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION: Backup/Storage problems

    Please help!!!
Ok. I'll try to explain this but it's kind of confusing so I'll do my best.
OK, so a few weeks ago, (maybe 2 or 3 weeks I don't remember) I had about 30 GB free on my MacBook Air's Macintosh HD storage drive. I have a Windows partition that takes up about 48GB out of my 121 total GB. The mac part of my computer has like 72 GB. Like I said, I had about 30 GB free on my mac side; I had about 9-15 GB or so of pictures from my iPhone, photo stream, and laptop. I had about 18 GB of apps, etc.
This was on November 10th I think, and the only thing that happened between then and like 1 week ago was free space went from 30>> 27GB or so.
Problem: iCloud almost full from iPod backup, iPhone almost full from videos and pictures.
Proposed solution: Move iPod and iPhone pictures to MacBook Air so I have space on iCloud, iPod, and iPhone.
Anyway, for Christmas, I got a new Seagate 1 TB backup external drive thing. I thought this was plenty of room for my tiny computer. I decided to backup my computer.
Problem: I forgot to transfer my iPod and iPhone pictures >> MacBook Air >> Backup
Proposed solution: Move photos from iPod and iPhone to MBA and go from there.
On Christmas, I decided to just synch everything. I plugged in my iPod and put my photos onto my computer and deleted them from iCloud (at this point, I was trying to free up space on my iPhone). I had about 3.2 GB on my iPod of photos and videos, and I transfered them to my iPhoto on my MacBook Air. I deleted them off of iCloud. Then, I plugged in my iPhone, and I transfered my 6.5 or so GB of videos and pictures to iPhoto.
What happened: I transfered all of my iPod and iPhone stuff to my MacBook Air. My iPhoto now has about 16-17 GB of stuff.
Problem: My backup doesn't have my pictures. The last time I backed it up was before I had all my pictures on my computer.
Proposed solution: Get all iPod pictures in one folder, get all iPhone pictures in one folder, move them to the backup.
I didn't want to backup my computer with my pictures on it, because if I deleted them from my computer and backed my computer up again, my backup would delete the pictures it had backed up. If that makes sense.
Proposed solution: Move folders to backup. Like so:
After doing all these transfers all night until 12:30, I thought I was done. Then, this morning, I remembered that I still had to delete my pictures off of my computer, because they were now on a flashdrive (forgot to mention that) and a backup.
THIS IS WHEN THE BIG PROBLEM OCCURS/IS REALIZED
    OK:
    1) I go to iPhoto, select all of my pictures, and I move pictures to trash
    2) I go to the trash bin/can/whatever it is and I click "empty."
    3) I thought this would free up the 15 or so GB on my computer.
    4) I go to Finder, and I realize that iPhoto has indeed shrunk from 16.9 or so GB >> 1.27 GB.
    5) I go to Finder >> Macintosh HD >> info >> says I have 24.38 GB free. I'm happy.
    HOWEVER
I go to the upper left-hand corner, click the apple, hit about this mac, hit more info, hit storage... AND:
My iPhoto went from 16.something >> 1.27 now. I deleted like 15.64 or 15.65GB. This is now under backups. My Photos and movies number shrunk, but my other and backups increased dramatically
What happened/Problem: The exact amount of storage space I deleted from iPhoto is the amount for Backups (it differed by like 1 MB). Coincidence? How did this happen?! Why did this happen?
What happened/Problem II: Now there is 23.65 GB under other?!?! All I did was move pictures temporarily to my computer and then I deleted them, and I also backed up my computer using Time Machine to back it up to my... backup.
    What finder thinks:
My Question: WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED AND HOW DO I FIX IT. I thought this would free up space on my iPod, iPhone, and computer, but it took away free space on my computer. I've read online and I can't find a solution or answer. Finder and storage say completely different things. I don't know how much space I really have, and why they differ.
What is this and what do I do to remove the other/backup space? I threw away the pictures and deleted the iPhoto pictures, but it thinks they are still there? I've tried searching finder, but I can't find out where all my space is vanishing to.
Thank you so much for reading and please help! It would be VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.

Personally, I say you forget about the data allocation feature of "About this Mac." I swear, someone in Cupertino designed that feature to drive up support calls more than provide insightful information on your storage allocation.
You are correct that the "backup" component is the local snapshots of Time Machine and that flagged as allocated space frees up in the event that you need the space. In Apple's defense that functionality of Lion & Mt. Lion is pretty neat. Even though it just gives people another excuse to be lazy about not keeping a good and proper external backup solution.
Notice my Backups allocation, it's Zero KB. It's always Zero KB. There's a terminal command to stop OS X from creating the local snapshots, it'll require you to authenticate in terminal to process the command.
The command - sudo tmutil disablelocal
In the event you change your mind and want to re-enable it, the command for that is as follows -
sudo tmutil enablelocal (you'll be prompted for the admin password again)
For what it's worth, there's no harm in disabling this functionality. It's just extremely important that you maintain current backups of your data at regular intervals should you decide to disable this functionality... you know like you had to do with every other version of OS X (pre-Lion).
Regarding the "other" category, here's a pretty good write up.
    http://pondini.org/OSX/LionStorage.html
Personally the accuracy of the reporting categories are a bit wacky. Even more frustrating is that you can't dive into what exactly is considered "other" or see it color categorized in Finder. Perhaps that'll be a feature of OS X 10.9 - Ocelot*
*I have no idea if Apple will even release an OS X 10.9 or what it'll be called, it was a joke. You can call off the forum police.
If you're looking for an accurate representation of what's on the drive, where it's located in the various folder directories and exactly how much space it's using then a program like:
    - Daisy Disk
    - OmniDiskSweeper
    - Disk Inventory X
    - WhatSize?
All will be much, much better for those purposes. I used ODS for years and love the product, I just recently started using Daisy Disk after a recommendation from someone on these message boards. All of them are "free" but many of them require you to pay to enable features. But for the purposes of inventory, categorization and displaying of your data that functionality is free.

  • Question about storage

I hope the answer to my question is yes. I just started using PS Elements & Premiere 13 and realized yesterday that Revel allows me to share my pics and videos on computer and my iphone. But I'm hoping, for storage purposes, that Revel is keeping all my photos & videos in a cloud type area, while allowing me to view all of them on my phone, but not storing them on it. Is that how it works, or if I do take pics from my computer, put them in Revel and sync them with my phone, am I actually loading them on my phone and using up space? Also, is it necessary to have apps like Dropbox and Wifi Photo Transfer if I am using Revel? From what I read in the descriptions, it seemed that they all did the same thing. But if there are features that Revel doesnt have then I will re-load them on my phone & computer. (I couldnt get them to work anyway, so I hope I dont have to use them) I appreciate any info anyone can give me.

    Hi Tine312,
I’m going to reply 'semi-inline' to your questions above:
Hi, you answered a question from the other day for me about Revel only storing thumbnail images to my iphone. Today, I purchased the Premium because it said I was out of space. After doing so, it still wont let me upload the rest of my photos. I have 500+ on my phone, yet only 80 uploaded to Revel on the computer and on the phone. It says there isnt enough storage left on my phone. I dont understand what my phone storage capacity has to do with all of my photos & videos being uploaded to Revel (I want Revel so that I can have a back up of my videos mostly because I already have icloud photostream which backs up all my pics.) So I thought if I got Revel, each time I take a pic or video, it will be uploaded to the "revel cloud" or whatever it is, and then I will have it on my PC. I dont care about Revel on my phone, well not that I dont care, but I dont know why its needed there, if I already have the photo program on my phone saving pics and videos. I guess I'm sort of confused as to what its real function is. Can you please clarify this for me and tell me how to resolve the issue?
    >> Revel requires 500 MB or more free space on your device for app cache and import, according to our minimum requirements.  There are technical reasons why Revel is designed this way, chief of which is that we want to be able to control your images and videos until import and upload are complete.  If Revel didn’t do this, people could delete photos from the Camera Roll before Revel is finished uploading them.  After upload is complete, Revel should then clear its own cache to make room for new work.  But what I think you’re seeing is that in severely low disk space conditions, Revel cannot clear the app cache fast enough to allow smooth import/upload.  Is it possible to temporarily make more free space on your device?  For example, can you remove apps, music, or movies that can be re-synced to your device later?
Also, I am noticing that when I go to play a video on my iphone, it now either says preparing or a wheel spins, but it wont play immediately. This never happened until I got Revel. Is my phone now looking of my pics in Revel as thumbnails and that's why this is happening, instead of it just opening the videos from its own program?
I just need to know how to get my videos uploaded to my computer, that is all I want so that I can delete them off my phone for space. HELP!! Thanks
    >> It sounds like you have imported videos into Elements on your desktop, and these didn’t play in Revel because they weren’t finished “processing.”  Is this still a problem?  Our server re-encodes all videos that are uploaded to the Revel cloud, so that the Revel app has a standard file type to playback.  With many videos being uploaded by users, it can take our server some time to process your videos for playback.  If this is still broken for you, please let us know.  We may need to get some Elements team members involved.
Or, are you saying that these videos are ones from your iPhone camera roll, imported into Revel.. and those don’t play.  I cannot reproduce an issue playing videos that imported using Revel.
Is your computer a Mac or PC?  The Mac OS X provides a utility app called Image Capture that very easily allows you to transfer images off of your device and onto your computer where you have more free space.  A few of my colleagues import from their phones to their computer this way - they prefer to toggle the box in Image Capture called “Delete after import.”  This copies one’s selected photos and videos to the Mac, and then after copying, deletes the files from the phone to make free space.  If you have a Mac and do try this, you can then import these files into Elements and sync them to Revel.
    Best regards,
    Glenyse

  • HT4847 Question re: storage for photos

I bought storage for photos, and yet I keep getting the notice that there is not enough available storage to take a photo. Yet, I only have taken ten photos and my settings tell me that of 15.0 GB in iCloud, I have 14.9 available. What can I do?

Keep ALL the media on one drive and TM on it's own drive. NEVER NEVER NEVER mix a backup drive with any storage. The reason being is if/when that drive crashes you will have lost all the data and backup! For the media drive you may need a high speed drive and bus. The only reason I can think of for a high speed drive would be if you put photos on it and do lots of editing on them in something like Aperture, Photoshop etc...If that does describe your needs get a 7200RPM drive AND use the fastest bus your computer has. This will probably be Firewire or Firewire 800 depending on what iMac you own. If this does not describe your needs as long you keep the media (movies, photos & music) on one drive and the TM on a separate drive you're good to go.

  • General question about storage, networking, and using large amounts of data

I have been using a powermac tower G5 up until now. I bought my daughter a macbook pro 15" i7, talk about a zippy little machine. What a screamer. I can't believe how fast it is with final cut express, Aperture, and Photoshop. I tend to use higher end stuff, video, photos, etc. Hence I need not only a good fast processor, but the storage....need lots of hard disk space.
oh, did I mention I bought this for my daughter who's about to go off to college? Heh, when I'm home, she loses the machine to me.... *evil grin*
Anyways, I haven't considered using a laptop before for me personally as I just don't care for the small screen size, no mouse, and things like that.
Seems I've changed my opinion, esp seeing as the new mouse track pad is a game changer. I still am not crazy about the small screen size, but I can get over it.
The one thing I can't get around is the small disk storage. I have 4 TB on my big machine. Between my video, photography, and music, I am nearing a full TB of just raw stuff. If I count all the things I've stored, especially finished videos I make of photography projects, well you can image the chomping that occurs on disk storage.
So what is a man to do about storage?
I'm really getting hooked on this zippy little machine. The idea of dragging it around is compelling. Having my work not tied to a desk is fun.
but the lack of storage is sucky, terribly so.
I have one possible option, taking the G5 and making it a server. I can use it for backup and high speed transfer, working on the transfer part today.
I thought I'd poll the collective wisdom of the community and see what do you peeps think is the best overall way to handle such a situation?
What is the absolute fastest best way to use external drives? Firewire 800 is ok, but when working with 400gb aperture database files....
I'm hoping there is some way to start posturing myself to really use a laptop for my full computing experience.
Or am I trying to make a small portable machine act like a tower? Is this not a reasonable hope at this point in time?
I'm open to suggestions. I'm going to purchase something when my daughter takes this laptop with her to college. Either a new mac pro tower or laptop. I love the portability but need speed and massive storage.
    Thanks for opining.

    Storage:
    1. Replace the drive with a larger one. Up to 1 TB is now available for notebook drives.
    2. Get a portable external drive for additional storage needs. See the options at OWC as an example.
    Drive speed:
    1. FW 800 should be fast enough for your work. If the computer has an ExpressCard slot then consider a card supporting full speed eSATA. You may then achieve speeds closer to the internal bus.
A laptop is not a tower so stop thinking of or comparing to your tower. Besides the laptop's speed compared to your G5 is more like comparing a Ford Focus to a Ferrari F150.
As for "polling" opinions here: polling is forbidden by the forums' Terms of Use.

  • Opinion question re: storage of media

I have very little space left on my mac.  I would like to reclocate my photos to an external hard drive to free up space.  Currently I have two external hard drives, both 2 tb, and a time machine that I think is filled.  Would you keep both photos and movies on one hard drive and use the other hard drive as a backup, or would you separate the movies on one hard drive and the photos on the other and let time machine back up both.

Keep ALL the media on one drive and TM on it's own drive. NEVER NEVER NEVER mix a backup drive with any storage. The reason being is if/when that drive crashes you will have lost all the data and backup! For the media drive you may need a high speed drive and bus. • Question about storage type 902

    Hello Everybody!
I´m implementing SAP WM and I have a doubt and is the next one:
When I do a material movement, system returns an error if the material is not create in the destiny storage type.
On the other hand, I create a purchase order and when I make the good entrance, the system stocks the material in the storage type 902 even the material is not create in this storage type.
Why is the reason for this? Is not necessary to create the materials in the standar storage type like 902?
Thank you very much for your help!

    Hello Javier
You are right when it comes to goods receipt or goods issue. All the 9** series storage types are interim storage types which are fictitious. You only have to create 1 bin for each interim storage types. When you create the material master maintain the WM views only for the warehouse number and the other storage types  that you use where all the bins are located. For storage types 902 the PO/inbound delivery number and for 916 outbound delivery number will be displayed as the bin numbers which are dynamic bins that gets deleted automatically once you complete the movements.
    Thanks
    Anandha

  • Question on Storage Location reference

    Dear Experts,
Right now, we are in the process of making use of Storage Location reference functionality in WM.
We understand that we can configure different WM movement types for similar IM goods movement for different storage locations within a warehouse using the Storage Location reference functionality.  Also, we can determine different storage types for each storage locations as we can also use this in Storage Type Search Sequence.
Can you please help us illustrate this functionality with 1 real life scenario for each of the above functions?
We expect 1 example/practical scenario  where we can use storage location ref. for WM mtype determination and storage type search
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Shetty

    Hi Shetty,
This is an Integration with IM.
One Warehouse can be madeavailable to multiple sloc & plants (even belongs to diff co ocde).
Now by entring a particular storage location refernce in storage type search startegy , you are defining sequence against a particular storage type. This is influenced by relevant IM posting.
Remember to do active SLR is access optimisation when you configure this.
    Thanks,
    Mahesh

  • Question about storage location

    Hi :
Some storage location have no backflush functionality and some have, that is to say, when confirming production order via co11n, some component failed to goods issue automatically since the storage location assigning to it has no backflush functionality even we had set backflush for this material in material master data, where/how to configure it?

    Hi,
Better you mark the component backflushing indicator in the Routing of the material instead of the material master.
Also maintain the storage location in the material master in MRP 2 view & work scheduling as applicable.
Note, these setting will work only for future orders.
for current orders, enter the storage location in CO02 & for missing parts in COGI.
    Regards
    Sandeep.

  • Question about storages plans

i have an 10 gb what will happen with all my data if i cancell the 10 gb storage ?

Thanks for the heads up, much appreciated

  • How can I include the minimum stock of storage location in the mrp run.

    Hi all,
I have in plant 1030 storage location 1001 and 1006.
    MRP1  Lot Size = EX
               MRP type = PD
               Reorder Point = 5
    MRP2  Safety Stock = 5
MRP4 for 1001 is not filled
    MRP4 for 1006 Sloc MRP Ind = 2
                             Reorder point = 2
                             Replenishment qty = 3
If no stock and I run the mrp I get
a PurRqs for 8 with a automatic MtlRes of 3 going to storage loc 1006
If I create a reservation in 1006 for 10 units and run the MRP again
a PurRqs for 15 with a MtlRes of 10 going to storage loc 1006.
I want the result to be PurRqs for 18 with a MtlRes of 13 going to storage loc 1006.
10 for the reservation and 3 to fill storage loc 1006 with the replenishment qty.
    How can I acheive this?
    Best Regards!
    Curtis

    Hello Curtins
Please observe what is stated on question 6 of FAQ note 550954, regarding storage locations planned separately:
    6. Question:
A storage location should be planned separately. Is it possible to
        consider external requirements?
        Answer:
No. The storage location MRP is a very simple reorder point planning
procedure, during which only reorder point and replenishment
quantity are defined. More complex settings can be implemented via
        storage location MRP areas.
Therefore, I'd suggest you to use MRP areas to map this scenario.

  • Synchronous Storage Replication Process

    Hi,
I have a question regarding storage replication for synchronous mode. If I describe the process in detail having twin Data Centers called DC-A and DC-B we have:
1- The server in DC-A writes to the DC-A disk.
2-  Before the server in DC-A receives an ACK from the DC-A disk, this data is replicated to the other DC disk, DC-B Disk.
3-  To replicate the data to the other DC we will first ask to the other DC before passing through the DCI “are you ready to receive”?
4-  We will get the approval from DC-B that is ready
5-  Then DC-A will send the data through the DCI to arrive to DC-B.
6-  DC-B disk receives de data and then DC-B disk must send an ACK to DC-A Disk
7-  Once the ACK is received at DC-A disk, DC-A disk will then send the ACK to the server in DC-A which originated the write action.
My question is if step 3 and 4 sometimes are counted and sometimes not. I should counted or not? This decision is important for me because it affects by a factor of 2 the distance between the twin DCs.
Thank you very much for the help.
    Regards,
    J

    Hi,
just to add more information. My doubt comes from the 2 Cisco live sessions about DCI.
On this session it says that we must count 4 times the traffic passing through the DCI in order to know the DCI Distance:
    https://www.ciscolive.com/online/connect/sessionDetail.ww?SESSION_ID=6623&backBtn=true
On this other session it says that we must count only 2 times:
    https://www.ciscolive.com/online/connect/sessionDetail.ww?SESSION_ID=7775&backBtn=true
Who is right then? because the impact is huge.
    Thank you.
    Regards,
    J

  • External or internal storage

oh man, a coupla things. Just got the 2.66 MacPro. Have perused many of these topics concerning boot drives (the WD 150 Raptor not set up as a RAID is what I'm leaning towards) and yet I still have questions! As mentioned I'm setting up with 3 gigs of Ram (2x1gb on top of the supplied 1 gb by apple) and the afore mentioned 150 Raptor SATA drive for the boot disk. Now my question concerns storage. I have many Adobe related files that are extensive. Should I use the Seagate HD apple supplied as storage and then get a nice size external drive to back-up? Should I get another large internal drive, like a Maxtor 300 gb and use that and then back up on the apple drive? I guess I'd like to optimize my system but I still feel somewhat daunted by all the options. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Oh yeah. I've also read Migration Assistant is NOT the way to go. How do I get itunes and internet settings transferred from G4 to new Mac Pro? No more questions, I'll try to promise!
    Thanks, Jeff

I am not using SR Performance to rate drives based on
games or desktop use in Windows, but raw transfer,
heat, and other basics, and they hold true when
looked at with ZoneBench and QuickBench.
Actually, this statement is false. The raw transfer rates do not apply to the Mac Pro SATA bus. In addition, QuickBench data on a Mac Pro is usually totally different than the PC data. The performance results of a PC on storagereview.com usually do not apply to a Mac Pro. If you are lucky, they might be close. The internal Mac Pro SATA bus impacts HD performance just about as much as the HD does. Finding a HD that works well with the internal SATA bus is the only way to optimize Mac Pro storage performance.
I enjoy reading the storagereview articles too but when I buy based on that data many times I have problems.
For instance, I saw the review data on the Hitachi T7K500 and I thought it might be a good hard drive for the Mac Pro based on the storagereview.com results. Wrong! Ned is totally correct these reviews don't apply at all to the Mac Pro.
The Hitachi T7K500 works well on a host adapter but the firmware does not work correctly on the internal Mac Pro SATA bus. During my tests, the Hitachi T7K500 was never able to exceed a read speed of 50MB/sec. or a write speed of 60MB/sec. while mounted on the internal SATA bus of the Apple Mac Pro. Mount the T7K500 on a SATA host adapter and performance is over 70MB/sec. I contacted Hitachi and they had not tested it on a Mac. They are now looking at the issue in their labs.
The Maxline Pro 500GB is another example. It will always provide lower DiskTester scores than the Maxline III 7V300F0 when it has less than 120GB on the hard drive. The storagereview article rates the 500GB faster. Only Mac Pro readers that have tested it or read the AMUG review learn the difference between these models.
Bottom line is that anyone that buys a HD for a Mac Pro based on Storage Review articles takes a gamble. Users are much safer buying hard drives that have been tested on a Macintosh. Unless you actually test the hard drive on a Macintosh its hard to know what the real performance will be.
The Apple Mac Pro internal SATA bus is frankly quite fussy about which hard drives work well with it. First it was Seagate 7200.10 compatibility issues now it's Hitachi. With few of the HD manufacturers doing any Mac performance testing its a crap shoot as to what Mac Pro third party HD performance will be.
Buy Mac Pro drives based on Storage Review articles at your own risk.
