Question on the new Notifications tab!

In order to receive the notifications, do I need to have the apps open to receive them or will I still get notified even if I quit the app?

For me when the app messages is not opened it still works, i'm receiving notifications! However, for some reason i don't know how.. i'm not receiving notifications from the mail app even if it's open!

Two questions about the new iWeb

Hi
I've got two questions about the new iWeb.
1. Is it possible to blog online now? Meaning adding a new blog entry without having to be on your own Mac? This is a feature I've been waiting for since iWeb first was released.
2. Is it possible to choose the format of images? Earlier editions had the option to "optimize" images but that meant it changed it into .png meaning the site got a lot heavier than if .jpg was used. And since I have relatives who still only have an isdn connection I need to be able to have the website as light as possible.

Question about the new Yoga 10 HD+

A few questions about the new Yoga 10 HD+ which I hope you can answer.
I bought the old model last year. Loved the design and long battery time but a few major issues made me return it.
Somewhere I read that it can't read NTFS over USB so I presume that's the same with an NTFS formatted microSD card?
Can it read exFAT formatted microSD cards?
Anyone observed issues regarding audio over bluetooth?
(I know BT isn't exactly High End HiFi but the old Yoga 10 for some odd reason - most likely a driver issue which nobody cared to fix - sounded *much* worse with quite noticeably distortion while both my phone and a cheap noname tablet I have zero fidelity issues - no matter which of my bluetooth audio devices I tried aptX or not)
So to avoid buying this only to return it too I really would like to see if I can have my questions answered before buying it.
While I love the form factor and long running time the above issues are just two mayor dealbreakers to me. Bad audio quality = no joy listening to spotify, local MP3s etc. No NTFS or exFAT = no large movies.
My old noname android tablet really could use an upgrade so I'm really curious whether this can be it or I should look at the competition and sacrify form factor and battery runtime.

If it's not supporting either NTFS or exFAT on the microSD have anyone tried ext3 and/or ext4?
I mean with Androids Linux roots it should be a nobrainer to support at least when it comes to royalties unlike NTFS or exFAT where there *might* be some issues with Microsoft.

OK. Seems I should just stay clear of this and look elsewhere
Sony for sure I know support exFAT. I'm usure about Samsung. Odd it seems so hard to find out. File sizes of +4 GB should be taken for granted - it's not 199x anymore...
Oh well. Wonder whether to just go for one from the competition or perhaps just save the money and wait until 64 bit catches on. Rumors is that the next Nexus 8 will be 64 bit... (I really don't expect an answer on this)

How do i get the new blank tab page back into the tab bar

i took the new blank tab off the tab bar how do i put it back on?
and when i am on a page and click the number to go to the next page, it opens in a new tab. how do i make it open in same tab.?
one more, how do i make it so when i am on a page i can right click the mouse and make the link open in new tab?

Open the Customize window and set which toolbar items to display.

It will not let me open websites, it stays on the new blank tab. It's slow. It always crashes.

I have a mac. At first the browser was really slow and the spinning circle would not go away. I forced quit. When I opened the browser most of my tabs with sites came back except a few although when I clicked on them the showed the web address that was there. So I closed them and tried re-typing and the address but it would not connect, it just stayed on the new blank tab. Firefox has been really slow over the past few months and it keeps crashing.

I'm working with Server Database and I added the new page tab is not seen.
I already compiled and valided the project. Also I already restart the server.
New Project: Xxaa New Project
My New Page Tab has like screen: Xxaa New Screen
My New View: Xxaa New View
I added the new page tab in the Application “Siebel Universal Agent” and I compiled the project “Xxaa New Project” and “Siebel Universal Agent”. After I logged to “Call Center” but I don’t see the new Page Tab
I navigated in application “Navigate --> Site Map --> User Preferences --> Tab Layout”, but my new page tab "Xxaa New Screen" isn't checked the flag "Hide"
Also I added new Responsibility: "Xxaa New Responsibility" and I added the new view "Xxaa New View" and the User SADMIN has grants.
What I need to do?

I created these objects:
1- New Project : Xxaa New Project
2- New Table : CX_PROJECTS
3- New Business Componet : Xxaa New Business Component
4- New Business Object : Xxaa New Business Object
5- New View : Xxaa New View
6- New New Applet : Xxaa New Applet
Finally I added the new screen (Xxaa New Screen) to application "Siebel Universal Agent" in the new page tab. I compiled the all objects and projects and I copied the file srf to the SERVER. And I created new responsibility (Xxaa New Responsibility) and I added the view (Xxaa New View) in this responsability.
But the new tab is not seen.

Item id should be followed by item length. But item length is obviously greater than 32 because device token's length is 32. Can you please explain why 0 32 were used? and do you have any insight on item id meaning ?

Question on the new Skin Editor

Dear All,
I have a question regarding the Skin Editor that comes with the new JDev version. I was able to see a demo of the skin editor wherein you could
change the background color etc of all components.
My question is, is there a feature in it that can turn off those rounded corners in some of the components?
My clients doesnt want rounded corners on accordions and tabs and they prefer it straight edges.
Does anybody have an idea on this?

Two separate questions about the new s3 update

Okay, so I just recently updated my s3 and so far I love everything about it, very nice job. Just two things bother me about it (not sure if the second one has to do with the update or not)
Firstly, when you receive a text message it pops up on your lock screen with about the first sentence of the message. Now that's a big problem for me, I enjoy my privacy, so if I'm texting someone, get up and leave me phone wherever I am at the time, someone could pick up my phone and instantly see who I'm talking to and what about without any type of security (I have the pin lock). If there is a way to disable it I cannot find it anywhere, maybe I'm not looking hard enough, any help would be appreciated.
Secondly, when sent a picture message instead of the message itself from the person sending it I get a message from "Me" or my own phone number saying "You've got a new PIX or FLIX message! To see it, visit *insert the vzw site here*. When going to the site it asks me to sign up and sync my phone to the cloud, which I do not want at all. Is this something with my service or the new update? It's quite infuriating to be honest. If either of these is true, is there a way to disable this feature and continue receiving pictures/video messages "normally"? PS: Picture/Video messaging worked all normal before I updated.

If you are using the stock Text messaging App. Open the app (while on the screen that shows all your people you have text, (not an individual person) click on your menu icon, the go to Settings> scroll down to >Notification settings>Notifications The box should be unchecked, or if it is checked there is a "Preview message" option that you can uncheck. That will take it off of the lock screen. Hth.
***Sorry, did not see the link that Tikibar posted ref the first question. If you leave the "Notifications" box checked, you can customize the rest of your notifications...and just uncheck the "Preview message" box.

Question about the new JAVA Update J2SE 5.0 Release 3

Java 2 Platform, Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Release 3 allows applications and applets developed for the J2SE 5.0 platform to run on Mac OS X v 10.4.2 and later.
This update does NOT CHANGE the DEFAULT VERSION of Java on your Mac from Java 1.4.2 to J2SE 5.0, though Java applications that require J2SE 5.0 may specifically request it. You can change the preferred Java version for applications and applets by using the new Java Preferences utility. This utility is installed by the J2SE 5.0 update at /Applications/Utilities/Java/J2SE 5.0/.

HERE IS MY QUESTION---
This update makes me nervous cause I don't know much about Java. IF I change my default version to this new 5.0 will it mean that some of the older Java stuff on the web won't work? Should I just download this and ignore it? What should I do about this update?

I too seem to be suffering issues with loading web pages after the 10.4.3/Java 5.0 update. I have reinstalled both updates, changed the java settings, emptied all the caches, and tried various combinations thereof, and I still have problems with web pages loaded. most of the problems appear to be related to rendering frames and images - In fact a couple of web sites I navigate to (upon looking at the source for the page" state "It appears your browser does not support frames." I think this is something broken in the latest release. Unfortunately, I cannot reinstall the latest copy of Safari, because the installer states "This version of Safari cannot be installed. It requires version 10.4.2." I guess I am in a pickle until Apple comes out with another update. BTW I have some pages that Safari will not render but IE running on the same box will. I also noticed that the problem propagated to other applications that use Java....For instance the Dashboard widget from google (Google Maps) no longer renders the tiled (framed?) map pieces...instead you get the ubiquitous "?" icon.

i open the report SFO Passenger Count Report in the samples/11G overview/
I choose the tab named insight tab
i select Air china in the Air lines List
i select 2006 in the time list, ok for the report
if i select 2007, all the companies are deselected, i need to reselect air china.
How to avoid this behaviour ?

Question bout the new Fios speed that might come.

So I have the 25/25 connection will I get upgraded to 50/25 for free or will there be a increase in monthly fee if you choose to?

I believe the question is understood, but no one has announced the upgrade terms, if the speeds will change to the new tiers, or what the costs will be. If someone is saying a specific date, then I suspect the terms of the change will be announced prior to that date. But who knows, it could be announced after that date. We are all waiting for that news. I am at 35/35, and it would be nice to wake up at some point and see 75/35, but as I stated, I have not seen any of those terms of service announced at this time. So everyone is guessing right now at what might happen. We just need to wait and see. I would like to know, just like everyone else.
