Question printing thumbnails in PSE7

I am using PSE7 and when I print the thumbnail pictures I would like to include the time the pictures were taken. The details show the date, time and jpg number, but only prints the date and jpg number.

Open XnView in its "Browser" mode.
Navigate to your image directory and select the photos you want to print, and click the "Print" button.
In the Print dialog window, on the "Layout" tab, choose "Thumbnails" as the layout type.
On the "Caption" tab, check the "Show Information" box.
In the entry field below, hit the "Insert" button, and select EXIF Image...Date Taken.
In my example, I put in three pieces of info on their own lines. When you choose that "Date Taken", the format will be
[Y-m-d_H-M-S]
which includes the date and time on one line. I changed the format as you can see in the screen capture to separate the date and time so they are on their own lines.

Set up the document on a page size large enough to hold 4 place cards, but only put one set of fields, in the upper left position. When you do the merge, select multiple records per page and ID will duplicate averything as many times as it will fit according to the spacing limits you set.

Viewing print thumbnail only works after a TAB in adobe reader x.
In adobe reader 9 when you go to a specified page (the red circle in the screenshot), the example on the right site directly go´s to that page,
In adobe reader x when you go to a specified page nothing happend in the example, when you then use the TAB then de example wil go to the specified page.
Is this a incident in Adobe Reader X ?

PDF files have to be specially enabled for you to save the contents. It appears the old version of these files had this capability, but the new version does not. Without Acrobat you will be unable to save the files. If these are truly government files, you can try going to the government's website and see if you can download a copy that will allow you to save the form field data.

Status bar print thumbnail in CS4?

What happened to the status bar print thumbnail in CS4? I can only get text document sizes, etc. Is there another way to view the print size thumbnail?

Can't print thumbnails from ID CS6 v. 8.0.2

I am running InDesign CS6 v. 8.0.2 on an iMac running OS X 10.10.1.
I cannot print thumbnails to my HP LaserJet 500 Color M551dn printer. Neither can I print thumbnails out to a postscript file. Instead, InDesign reports a postscript error.
Is there a known solution to this problem?

@Mark – with the right PPD installed you could print to PostScript. If you have Acrobat Distiller at hand, that requires an install of Acrobat Pro, you could distill that PostScript file to PDF and print that PDF from Acrobat Pro without using PostScript technology (if you have to).
Do the following:
Get the PPD file (PostScript Printer Description) Acrobat 9 PPD here:

If it is not already there, create a folder exactly named PPDs in the folder:
/Applications/Adobe Indesign CS6/Presets/
Put the PPD file inside.
Restart InDesign and use that PPD, now available in your print menu, to print to PostScript with Thumbnails enabled.
Then start Acrobat Distiller.app
Chose one of the presets for distilling PostScript to PDF you can find pre-installed there or change an existing one to your needs.
Acrobat Distiller.app should be present under:
/Applications/Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro/
or, if you installed Acrobat 10 Pro under:
/Applications/Adobe Acrobat X Pro/
Open the PostScript file in Distiller or drag it to Distiller. A PDF will be created.
Open that PDF in Adobe Reader or Acrobat Pro and print from there.
Note: There is an option for printing your PDF with pixels only under the "Advanced" tab of the print menu of Acrobat Pro (should be there with Adobe Reader as well): "Print As Image". Chose the right value for dpi resolution, might by 600 dpi.
That should work in every case.

I am trying to print multiple of same design on same page, but for some reason it is printing thumbnail size. Does anyone know why?

OK. Let's figure out what you've done incorrectly.
First, what is the page size in Document Setup, and waht is the size of the paper on which you want to print?
Can you show me a screen shot of your page in InDesign? You can use the camera icon on the web page to embed an image in your post, like this:

Printing problems with PSE7

I've been using this program just fine for a year. I
have not done anything at all to my computer (no new programs, equipment, etc.). All of a sudden today when I go to print anything from PSE7
to either of my printers (HP office jet or Lexmark laser) they get caught in a queue and won't print. The files are only about 2 MB but the file that is trying to print is over 50MB. I uninstalled PSE7 and reinstalled but it didn't help. Since it's doing it on both printers it's got to be something that PSE7 is doing as it's making the files too big to print. Help. I use this for my business and don't know what to do.

Are you trying to print from organizer or editor? Are you saying that the spool size of the file is 50MB? If yes then try to see that resolution in which the printer is trying to print. It may be very high.

Report Builder Question: Printing PO's from E-Business Suite - POXPRPOL

I'm hoping there's someone who has the time to help me: We are using Report Builder 9, Oracle 9i, and E-Business Suite 11.5.10.
I am a new developer using Oracle, and need to make some changes to the seeded (default) POXPRPOL (Purchase Order Print - Landscape) report, using Report Builder.
I have two problems:
1. When I print PO Releases from E-Business Suite, and specify I want releases 1 through 2, I get those fine, but the first page is my "Purchase Agreement". The question is: Is there any way (programatically or otherwise) to say "When the "Release" fields are filled out, don't include the Purchase Agreement?
2. Somehow, after making a few changes to the POXPRPOL report, my quantity has disappeared. Is there any suggestions on how this could happen? I look at the query where they are using "POL.QUANTITY_TO_PRINT" for the working and the non-working reports, and they look identical.
I'm hoping DESPERATELY that someone can help me - I'm really in a bind...

1. Ok, but how do I hide a whole page? I noticed the conditional formatting, but I want to "not print" a whole page when this page is a "Purchase Agreement".
2. I've checked the source - it's coming from POL.QUANTITY_TO_PRINT - POL is a view that is unpopulated. I assume it's populated at run-time. So now I am trying to track down where it's populated, but can't find that in report builder. The quantity is being taken into account, because I put a total at the bottom of the page, and that number matches price * pol.quantity_to_print. Very strange...
Finally, here's another question, if you don't mind:
3. When I print a purchase order that is set up as a blanket, as I mentioned before, I get my "Purchase Agreement" first, and then one (or more) pages per release. But the "Page Number" on each is "1" because each is a one-page PO. But my "total pages" is "3", so each page reads "Page 1 of 3". Any idea if there's a way around that?

Can Acrobat print thumbnails of pages?

I have a long multipage document that i want to print out as thumbnails on a page, maybe 10 pages per sheet or something like that. Is there any way Acrobat Pro can do that? If not, what out there can do that??

If you can not do it to other printers, you can always print to a new PDF with the selection of printing multiple pages per sheet under page scaling. My other printers show a similar option.

Hi, to printi in PO i have customized tha tr. NACE with sapscript ZMEDRUCK.
My layout is quite different from the standard layout, and to follow my layout, I had to modified a little bit the structure.
i'am a little bit worried about the changes because is the first time that i modified i Standard sapscript and i didn't know well the sequence when are printed the elements in tha main.
To understand this i debugged the sapscript when i print the PO from the transaction ME9F.
Two question:
*I see the sequence of printing PO, i write the new layout of the main in the element ITEM_HEADER_F and i write the values in the element ITEM_LINE_3F_PRICE ( the other elements are been commented)
*I commented the total amount and i moved it in the footer printing the variable &EKKO-WAERS&,,&KOMK-FKWRT& ( those variable are global in the program and i can print these also in the footer).
It's correct this approach at the problem? will work correctly as in test fase to print the PO?

Recenty on trying to print from iphoto I am only getting thumbnail prints not actual size...used to work fine

I hope you have already solved this problem but this is how I solved the same problem. You select print photo, on the print screen select advanced, from copies & pages (or summary) select paper handling and select "use document size". When you preview the print it should be the correct size now. Good Luck.

Ordering Prints: Thumbnail shows original image and does not show edits. Will edits be printed?

When ordering a print, the thumbnail shows the original image without any iPhoto edits. Is this a bug? How can I make sure my prints will come out with edits?

The thumbnail should reflect any edits made unless they were made with a 3rd party editor incorrectly. How did you edit the photos? With iPhoto or a 3rd party editor?

I have submitted a question about thumbnails, but it is not included under my Profile, so where is it held and how can I view it ?

This is my original question.
I have disabled the New Tab thumbnails by setting auto-config to 'aboutblank' and this has ensured the New Tab page is blank.
However, FF is still dumping these thumbnails onto my PC, this despite my having set the History to 'Clear Cache' on exit from FF. I have tested New Tab without thumbnails in my last FF session, yet found the thumbnails of visited Sites were on my PC.
If 'Clear Cache' does not remove these thumbnails, what does ?

You can create new properties in about:config by right-clicking in the list and choosing New > [entry type] from the context menu.
For true/false properties, choose New > Boolean as your entry type.

Printing thumbnails of lots subclips

I'm working on a fairly long project with lots and lots of tape. I've made subclips out of all my good shots. I've got lots of various bins with subclips in them.
I'd like to be able to print out, on a color printer, the
thumbnail view of each subclips image and organize them all into a book so I can visually scan my good images quickly
outside the FCP interface.
Other than printing out each image one at a time (way too long), or using the snap screen function to capture a bunch
of the thumbnails and print out groups of thumbnails, is there a preferred method of accomplishing what I've described?

I don't know of any ways other than the old screen capture. What I've found is that using some of the "secret screen capture shortcuts" makes it not too bad.
