Question re: Game Center on multiple devices

I just bought my first iPad, and have a question ....
I have several games that are universal builds -- for example, Jetpack Joyride.  I have had that game on my iPhone for a long time, and I have all of the achievements.
If I put that game on my iPad now, and connect it to the same Game Center account, what happens with my achievements?  Do they merge, are they kept separate, or (worst case scenario) does launching the game on my iPad wipe out the achievements on my iPhone?
I asked this question about the Apple Store when I bought the iPad, and got conflicting answers.
Anybody know for sure?
Thanks in advance.

  • I have one Apple ID and want multiple game centres on multiple devices?

I have one Apple ID to manage all my purchases and devices.  My wife has iphone 4s and iPad, my kids each have iPod touches, and I have an iPad mini.  I want each of us to have our own game centers, but when I change one, it changes all the rest.  How do I set up a different game center on each device?

Apple allows you to set up different Apple IDs for use with different services. To do what you are asking, use the primary Apple ID for iTunes purchases and individual Apple IDs for each of you to use with Facetime, Game Center and iCloud.

  • IOS 6 Gamecenter ID did not require email address. iOS 7 does, how do I sync Game Center on new device

My kid's have 3 iPod Touch's, 4th gen running iOS 6. We all share one Apple ID for purchases, but they each have their own Game Center ID. iOS6 Game Center DID NOT require an email address to use. Now I have bought them all iPad mini's that are running iOS 7. iOS7 REQUIRES an Apple ID to use. How do I import their Game Center info onto the Mini's?

    Hi Sonnyboy89,
I am a little unclear as to what you are trying to do with Game Center on the iPads, but you can enter each user’s Apple ID in Game Center on their device using the steps in this article -

  • OK I have a question about "game center" Is it possible to log into the game center with a different apple ID, just within the game center and not anywhere else in the phone?

I have 2 Iphones, 1 is a personal phone and the other is a work phone, i will be using my work phone only right away, I have an appointed Apple ID on my work phone and i want to transfer my Clash of clans Village with out having to attach my other apple ID to the phone? So basically can my Game center have 1 Apple ID and my phone use another? Hopefully that makes sense.

  • Is it possible to log out game center from all devices ?

Someone else can access the game I am playing that is called Clash Of Clans. I have been trying to find a logical answer on how that person can still have access to my game even after I change my Apple password. The explanation I came out with is that, the person who is playing the game somehow had an access to my Game Center account and as a result he can play the game just like me. Moreover, I discovered that even if you change your Apple-ID password which is your Game Center username and password at the same time, Game Center doesn't ask for the new password. Which makes the "player'' of my Game Center account still access able to my game.
I still don't know how he accessed on my Game Center account first place, but I need to find a way to log him off so that if he gets disconnected, he won't have access to my Game Center ever again.
Is it possible to log-off all devices that is connected to Game Center?
    OR
Is there any way to fix my current situation?

  • Game center with multiple IDs

    Hi,
I have a single iTunes account with all my apps etc. However, I have an iPhone which is mine and and iPod Touch which I let my kids play on.
When I upgraded to iOS 5 I now can't seem to get Game Center to login to my account on the iPhone and my kid's account on the Touch.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

Have you had any luck with this?
I've got the same issue.  My master account is under my email address, I have to other accounts for two other iphones and two other accounts for ipod touches.
I want to have my wife and kids use their own account in Game Center.  I've verified all email addresses, however, when I log into game center under the sub accounts, I get the "Incorrect password error".  I'm using the sub accoutn email addy with my master account password.  I've tried to reset it a few times and Ive yet to get the email from apple support for password reset on the sub account.
    Any help or ideas?
PS. I've also associated the sub account to the master in Game Center.

  • Question about Game Center games...

I have a 1st gen ipod so i can get 4.0 but i have 3.1. What im curious about is can i buy games that are from game center but require atleast 3.0 to play? i know if its a game center game and needs 4.0 i cant play it obviously, but if its a game center game and needs 3.0 i can play it right? Just asking because since you can only get the game center (with the folders or w/e) with 4.0. just making sure.
i really want to get angry birds and fragger.

Try launching each game individually(games that have been updated to support game center) so it connects to game center and from that point on it should be added to your game center list.

  • We have multiple devices on 1 account.  are we able to seperate the game center for each device?  also can we keep our contacts seperate on each device?

I am a mom of 2 minor children.  They both received Ipods for Christmas.  I have added them to my apple account.  Now the problem seems to be that everything on one is on another.  For example, my son is face timing his brothers friends and my contacts.  How can I prevent that from happening.  Also games that are on 1 device are duplicated onto other devices.  The problem is that the progress and game is duplicated.  Can we create different game centers so that the progress on 1 device is not the same as the other device?
I am familiar with the Apple devices, but my youngest really needs some restrictions set within the device....HELP

Create a NEW account/ID for then using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before. Make sure you specify a birthdate that results in being at least 13 years old
Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store account without a credit card
Use the new ID on her iPod but only for:
    Settings>Messages>Send and Receive
    Settings>FaceTime
    Settings>GameCenter
    and Settings>iCloud
Continue to use the same/common Apple ID for Settings>iTunes and App stores so you can share purchases.

    Hi Jamesdwills,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
If you are using the same Apple ID on both devices, the Game Center profile should be the same.
Check out this information from the iPad User Guide.  Try signing out of the Game Center on both devices and then sign back in with the correct Apple ID:

  • Can I play Game Center Games with other family members sharing one Apple ID

I have several IOS devices sharing the same Apple ID that my sons and wife use. I have set up a game center account using that ID and can find no way that we can play head to head games on those multiple devices against each other using that one Apple ID login, even if I create multiple Nicknames. Am I missing something?

An Apple ID is just an account that uses an email address and password. It does not have to be tied to iTunes. You can create one here. Create one each for your sons and wife.

  • My Game Center Isn't Working

Hi. Before I start I'm gonna say that I have looked at other similar questions about Game Center not working and I have read them all, yet the solutions don't work. So when I go into the Game Center app the 'Friends', 'Games', and 'Challenges' tabs show a loading spinning wheel and will not load. All my Game Center compatible games say I'm not logged into Game Center (ex. "Log into game center to see friends") and I've tried logging out through settings app and logged in though Game Center app and it didn't work. What do I do?!  Please help!

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on your router
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • Using iOS5 on multiple devices

    hi Forum
Is there a view on how to use iOS5 on multiple devices when multiple devices are owned by differing family members? i have an iPhone, my partner has an iPhone, and together we have an iPad. [i have a MBP as well but havent updated to Lion yet, dont knwo if this is part of this question]. iOS5 can sync to multiple devices so can we sync all apps and musc between the mobile devices? do they have to be on the same apple user ID? of have i got that wrong?
also contacts and photos wise, we both have our own photos, contacts, calendar and mail. can any/all of these be syncd between us all? i guess the one that would be syncd would be photos as youd want to see that on the ipad.
    Andi

The iTunes account and iCloud accounts are not linked on your devices.
So you can each have an iCloud account that works on your iDevices nd all be logged into the same iTunes account in the iTunes Store, App Store, IBooks, etc.
You do really need your iMac to be on 10.7.2 as it was a requirement before you moved to iCloud, did you lie when asked the question "are all your devices ready for iCloud".

  • Two Game Center Accounts on One Apple ID

    Hello,
From the looks of things I'm the only one experiencing this issue and it's really starting to bug me out unfortunately. There's an APP that I use on my spare time. When I first installed the app it was registered under my Apple ID and Nickname "San Huevon". For some reason I got bored of it and eventually a few days ago I got hooked on the urge again. Only this time when I went back in it asked me to load my profile or create a new one, so I created a new Nickname "SanHuevon" technically speaking but still registered and logged in through my original Apple ID. After a few days of playing I loaded the app and accidentally clicked on "load profile" it loaded my old profile and now I've lost all in-app purchases that I had purchased in my second profile. I've tried changing my Nickname back to the second one which was "SanHuevon" without the space and it says it's already taken. I've been unsuccessful at this, whenever I contact Apple Support it's as if I'm talking to another country?
If anyone has gone through this and can shed some light I would greatly appreciate it, although I'm sure I'm just out of luck on this one.
Thank you all in advance for taking the time to read this.
