Question re submission to a fest.

I've never done this before. I have a short film I want to submit. The festival offers a whole slew of formats to send in. They say, for instance, a media file, ntsc, or .mov. Any idea which would be best quality? I don't know how they plan to screen it is the problem. I could do a whole bunch of submissions of the same clip I guess....

Uh...that is WAY too vague. A media file? What SORT of media file? Quicktime? What codec?
NTSC? That is a standard, not a format. NTSC is the standard for America and Japan, PAL is the European format...Africa, Russia...etc.
.Mov....that is a media file. Quicktime. What codec?
What EXACTLY are they asking for?

  • Submitting a Podcast to iTunes

    I have four questions regarding submission. One, how long does it take for a podcast to be accepted and found on the iTunes store? Two, how does iTunes define- copyright? I have heard numerous podcasts with sound bytes taken from tv and radio programs, and they have all been approved. This leads me to my final questions. If I have two sound bytes in my newest podcast series that I have just submitted, one is an ad for Lost and the other is a 40 second sound byte from an interview show on tv, how likely is it for iTunes to accept my new podcast series and how will I find out?
    Thanks!

    One, how long does it take for a podcast to be accepted and found on the iTunes store?
    Up to two weeks.
    Two, how does iTunes define- copyright? I have heard numerous podcasts with sound bytes taken from tv and radio programs, and they have all been approved.
    If the copyright owner raises a complaint, the podcast may be removed. Apple does not appear to automatically screen content.

  • JavaFX Netbeans AND Maven

    Hello,
    Anyone know of an easy approach to getting a JavaFX maven project working in Netbeans ?
    I've got JavaFX+Maven working and JavaFX+Netbeans ... but not all three together...
    Any tips/pointers apprectiated...
    Given the Netbeans has fantastic JavaFX and Maven support - surely they could make both work together ?
    -A

    I hope it's ok if I reuse this thread since I have the same question. I'm using FEST's JavaFX Maven plugin. I'll happily take any solution anyone can offer, but, ideally, I'd like to see some official support for Maven:

  • Question on advice on timing of when to submit hands on submission form

    In [http://www.oracle.com/education/certification] support-faq's the question (accessed as of time of this post)
    Q. Do I need to complete all the tests in my certification path within a set period of time or in a specific order?+Has the follwing answer:
    Requirements for Oracle Certifications do not need to be completed in a specific order.
    It is recommended that a candidate complete the training prior to sitting for an exam, but it is not required.
    *The Course Submission Form should be completed after all other requirements have been met.*I cant recall if the FAQ has changed, but IMHO previous best practice was to submit Hands on course form immediately after qualifying hands on course was taken to minimize delay in time obtain success kit. Is the advice or requirement now different?

    On a slightly more serious note - are there any plans to simply load Oracle University class rosters into the HOC system? If 'Oracle Certification ID'* is optionally allowed at eAttendance time, that should be a moderately simple integration, and would eliminate the HOC submission requirement for a large % of the candidates. Allowing 'you' to concentrate on 'alternate experience and verification thereof' mechanisms.

  • Automatic "j_security_check" form login submission question

    I've been using J2EE 1.4 declarative security with no problems.
    It works great. I define the security constraints to the server and
    when the relevant pages are hit the login.jsp page gets invoked
    where users can login. I happen to be using Tomcat 5 right now, but again it all works fine.
    But now I have to receive http User Login requests from a non-java server and automatically log the user in if they were logged in on the prior server since I support the same User-Ids/Passwords.
    My question is simple and may only be an HTML trick. On the login page code specifically for users where I already have their User-Id and Password how do I auto-submit the form without requiring user's to press the "submit" button? For this type of user where I know the UserID and Password I will not have any displayed HTML since the user does not have to do anything. For traditional manual login, I always used the following format with the submit button, but again, now I want to bypass the JSP/JSTL/HTML display and submit automatically (using code) instead of requiring the user to press the submit button.
    <form method="POST" action="j_security_check" >
    <input type="text" name="j_username" size="8" maxlength="8" />
    <input type="password" name="j_password" value="FMTPPSWD" size="8" maxlength="8" />
    <input type="submit" value=" Login " />
    </form>
    Help!
    I've already orchestrated the solution in my login.jsp configuration to separate between the JSP Display page supporting manual login (using jsp:forward) and non-display auto-login. So my question is only how do I submit a form programatically without using the submit button?
    Thanks.

    For the benefit of others here is the JSP/JSTL & javascript solution.
    This allowed me to create an automated login and use declarative security ...
    The following code requires param.UserID and param.PassWord to be set before it is executed...
    <form name="AutoLogin" method="POST" action="j_security_check" >
    <input type="hidden" name="j_username" value="<%= request.getParameter("UserID") %>" size="8" maxlength="8" />
    <input type="hidden" name="j_password" value="<%= request.getParameter("PassWord") %>" size="8" maxlength="8" />
    </form>
    <script type="text/javascript" language="JavaScript">
    document.AutoLogin.submit();
    </script>

  • Course submission form question

    Hi,
    In the future i'm planning to be an Oracle Database 11g DBA OCP, and i have read about exams to pass, requirements and so on. After i pass 1Z0-151 exam, i've read i should complete one of the approved advanced courses (at STEP 2 - COMPLETE TRAINING). So:
    OCP candidates must complete one of the instructor-led in-class, online , or recorded courses below (includes Live Web Classes – LWC,Live Virtual classes – LVC and Training On-Demand course) to obtain this certification. Self-Study CDs are excellent study and reference tools but DO NOT meet the course requirement for certification.
    And after this, and passing 1Z0-053 exam, the candidade should complete a course submission Form.
    But why the candidate should pay a so expensive course if he wants to become a DBA OCP? If I have, for example, study materials, books, and any other resources, and if i learn INDEPENDENTLY (and maybe based on a previous experience), WHY i have to pay/participate to a instructor-led in class or online course?
    Here http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=99 there is written:
    The Course Submission Form is a tool for certification candidates to submit their required training details for verification. This form is required in order to obtain most Oracle Certified Professional and Oracle Certified Master certifications as well as some Expert Program certifications.
    But why verify candidates, if the candidate followed a personal training, and based on the experience?I don't understand this requirement, and my opinion is that this is for Oracle only a money maker source.
    Thanks.
    Edited by: Roger22 on 01.04.2012 21:06

    I agree with some people's comments who said this is most of time completely useless (to pay ~2k euro for a 5 day course, so VERY expensive!), so this course submission form is a stupid thing.
    Personally if i was that Oracle person who introduced this, i should not have requested any attendance for any courses at all. People who are working on these technologies for years and having experience, they don't need to attend any course to become OCP or even OCM, they should pass the exams without any courses.
    But this is my opinion only:)
    Thanks

    Sanjeev / Nitin,
    Even we are facing a similar problem (unable to receive response from supplier ROS questionnaire in SAP). I would like to know which email ID (with which domain) we need to provide in SO50. Since currently we are in sandpit client. I have set my company email id in my user SU01 as well as SO50 setting. Also the supplier Email address in ROS questionnaire is the same.
    However with the single entry as below in SO50 does not send the questionnaire to my company email ID.
    InternetMail nitin(at)xyz.com * CL_UWS_FORM_RUNTIME_MAIL 1
    I still wonder how system would forward the mail that come to my company email address to SAP user mail box. Where do we need to set the SRM mail server ID to receive responses in SAP?
    I think I am missing some configuration.
    Can you please help?

  • I WEB NOOB question:  "submission" box....

    Hey Forum! I'm new to iWEB and having a blast creating my first website ever...it's called "sharonVbootcamp.com" (I bought the domain and everything!) Anyway, I was trying to find a way to insert a "submission box" for a free e-course on nutrition... you know...where someone can put their name and email in a box and hit "submit" (like the log-in for this site).
    Is there any way to do that in iweb? I've got the rest figured out, got paypal buttons, hyperlinks, all working great!
    any help here would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks

  • Some basic form submission questions

    Hello,
    1. On page 1, I've created a form which contains only one text field (P1_USERNAME) and a submit button which leads to Page 2. On page 2, I can't seem to access the value of :P1_USERNAME. From Page 2, when I press the 'Session' button, it shows P1_USERNAME with the correct value under Session State.
    What am I doing wrong?
    2. Page 2 is a User Profile page, which needs to display various information about a user whose username was entered on Page 1. Is it possible to run only one query and fill the disabled text fields on Page 2 from that one query instead of running a separate SELECT queries for each field?
    Thanks :)

    1) In what context can you not access the value of P1_USERNAME? Describe how you trying to access its value. If you see the item and its value in the session state, it is definitely accessible from page 2.
    2) To display the user's current profile just create a SQL report region with the SELECT statement's WHERE referring to P1_USERNAME. Something like:
      SELECT first_name, last_name, ...
        FROM user_profile
       WHERE username = :P1_USERNAMEMike

  • Binary and icon for submission question

    Hi,
    I have a few days left until i submit my first iphone application.
    In the itunes connect developer documentation, there's a pragraph regarding the icons i should supply.
    In one of the descriptions it says that the 57X57 icon should be supplied with the applicatino binary zip file.
    I'm not sure i understand that.
    Should the zip file contain both the applicatin binary plus the icon ?
    Or it refers to the icon that i put in my bundle resources (and put its name in the info.plist file) ?
    Thanks a lot,
    Kobi.

    Every .app file is a directory that can be viewed by right-clicking on it and selecting "Show Package Contents". Within the Contents/Resources folder of the .app directory you should find either a .icns file (Mac OS X) or an icon.png file (iPhone OS).
    The application's icon file should be included automatically when you build it, assuming
    1. That you have an icon file in you project
    2. You find it listed in Xcode's Groups & Files panel -> Targets -> Copy Bundle Resources list. (If not, just add it).
    So if you submit a compressed version of you .app directory, it will contain the icon image.

  • InfoPath web forms from sharepoint 365 submission - question about copying senders on submit

    I have set up a few InfoPath web forms.  I tested including an email field when the submit is processed it will also send a copy to the email address entered in that field.  I am just seeing if there are any options available for the user to
    be able to open the file after the attachment is saved from the email if they don't have InfoPath on their machine? any way for them to save as a word doc, pdf etc?

    Hi,
    As I understand, you want to know the attachment sent with the InfoPath form email can be saved as other file types.
    The attachment sent with the InfoPath form email will stored as XML files.
    If there is no InfoPath installed, we can export the XML data to Excel, Access or PDF.
    The article is about importing and exporting form data and form templates for your reference:

  • Questions on printing in htmldb

    I try to create an invoice page to print.
    Some questions I ask to myself:
    - Is it possible to print to an A4 (papersize)? (I mean, does the application have notions of pagesize or is everything controlled by the browser? this is important when you need to repeat some information on the second page)
    - can I include "pagenumber of total pagenumbers"?
    - Is it possible to repeat an header / footer?
    In my opinion it is very hard to do this with htmldb...
    I started my "print report" like this:
    - created static html like I would like to have my report(in notepad)
    - in htmldb I try to create "the same thing", first I tried with the creation of a report, but, because you 'll always have rows, I stopped with that (I need to say "that item needs to be placed there"). Than I created a form, afterwards I added some other forms (regions) to the same page. One region for every table. I still have problems to place my items like I wish, because of region overlapping. Should I create other items in an other region (and link them) if I want to show the content of an item of an other region in that region?
    I try to replace an Access application, and it looks good so far, but replacing the reports is very difficult!?
    Is it me?
    Dimitri

    I found the answer on most of my questions on this site:
    http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-CSS2/page.html#propdef-size
    In short: you can a lot with css! so for my htmldb application: I probably need to change (create a new) my "print" template
    HTMLDB is a very nice product and in a way it can replace an Access application, but in my opinion we are limited by the html.
    What I would like to have in htmldb (compared with access):
    - submission of a region and not the whole page (like in access subforms)
    - in the tabular form, automatic one (or more) empty line(s) to create a new record (in access you have a new empty record)
    - an easier why to customize the templates/css, for the default ones you can't change everything... (in access you can "draw" your form/report, that's very easy, in htmldb it's more difficult)

  • Questions on Invoking a Process from a web site

    Question in regards to invoking processes.  I am new to this portion of technology and I am sure many would know how this works.  We have a process in Workbench that needs to be invoked from a remote web site.  The process would take one parameter.. ie an ID.  The process will then query the database and send a boolean value back to the site and then this site would perform a specific operation.   My question is, is there any examples out there that someone could provide that can show how this can be done?  What do i need in my website (I know how to set up buttons and  create OnSubmit processes and very familiar with javascript,html)?  I believe somehow it can be done with SOAP or REST?  Thanks very much in advance for any help.

    You just need a form in HTML with elements(e.g. textbox - string, file - document etc.) having same name as the process input parameter name and the the form action attribute should be pointing to REST URL of the process.
    For example : for a process(short-lived) having REST URL : http://localhost:8080/rest/services/WatchedFolder...  with one input parameter as XML and document as output variable, we'll use below HTML code :
    <HTML>
    <HEAD>
    <TITLE> Sample Invoke REST endpoint </TITLE>
    </HEAD>
    <BODY>
      <form action="http://localhost:8080/rest/services/WatchedFolder... method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data">
    <p>Chose a file to send to the process.</p> <p>file: <input type="file" name="inputXML" /> </p> <p> <input type="submit"/> </p>
    </form>
      </BODY>
    </HTML>
    When you click on submit, the output document would be opened in the browser automatically after submission of the form.

  • Question on the upload attachments process in a request form

    hi,
    I have a question on the upload attachments process in a request form. I have 2 pages, one is a request form and the other is an attahment page
    The request form let users fill the mandatory fields (e.g. name, email, address...) And in the form, there is a link (URL without submit) to the attachment page.
    In the attachment page, users can upload the supporting file for their rquest. The file will be uploaded to APEX_APPLICATION_FILES view and then it will be copied it to a customized table (table A) and remove from the view.
    When the users finish uploading files (i.e. the files are stored in table A), users need to press a "Done" button back to the request form to submit the form.
    My question is:
    As the request form is not yet submitted while the attached files are stored in table A, there is no request_id (request from table primary key generated in an Insert trigger after submission) is generated to tag with the files in table A. Is there any standard practice to do this?
    What I am doing now is to generate a hidden value in sequence when user goes to the attachment page. The hidden value is stored in table A togehter with the files when uploading. When user goes back to the request form, the hidden value is passed back as session cache. When the request form is submitted, I make an update statement by using the hidden vaule in the Insert trigger to tag the request_id to the attached files in table A.
    Is my way appropriate?
    Thanks for advice.
    cheers,
    Pong

    Pong,
    Yes, this would work just fine. You may want to consider enabling session state protection so that your process is not succeptable to URL tampering, which would cause a user to change the value of the REQUEST_ID in the URL and potentially associate other attahments with their request.
    Thanks,
    Scott
