Question Re using bluetooth keyboard with new ipad A1430

I have a new 64gb Apple ipad Model A1430. I purchased a Kensington  Bluetooth Keyboard Case for ipad1 and ipad2,  and was told it would work fine with the new model ipad, but I have had no luck connecting them.  Any clues, anyone.  Thanks

I already have multiple devices and by far I like my iPad the most over laptops and the iPad. That including checking out my friends MacBook Air.
The difference for me is the touch interface on the screen itself for things that do not require a lot of typing. For me, the iPad is more "magical" than anything else I've used.
Again, I do appreciate your answers but you don't know my situation. Not everything is as it is perceived without knowing me and what I have to go through.

  • Using bluetooth keyboard with iPad2

1]Is there any way to tell battery usage on iPad as there is on Mac?
2] Since on/off lite goes off quickly, how do know whether  keyboard is on or off [except by touching key, which turns it on]?

sorry i guess im looking into buying a bluetooth keyboard and i assume that when you use a bluetooth keyboard with the ipad, depening on the manufactor of that keyboard, that the keyboard built in the ipad will pop up as well. so am i assuming wrong?

  • I paired my apple Bluetooth keyboard with my iPad but when trying to connect back to iMac it shows paired but I cannot connect to it

I paired my apple Bluetooth keyboard with my iPad.  Now I paired it with my iMac it shows paired but I cannot connect to it?

    Hello:
    Try this on your iPad:
    Unpairing a Bluetooth accessory
If you've paired iPad with an accessory that you no longer wish to use, you can unpair the accessory.
From the Home screen choose Settings > General > Bluetooth. If Bluetooth isn't on, turn it on.
Choose the accessory and tap Unpair.

  • HT4111 Using Bluetooth headset with my ipad

I want to use my bluetooth headset to listen to itunes or othe apps with sound on my ipad. Can I listen to things from my ipad through my bluetooth headset?

Thanks for the link, I found this in my search but it does not seem to help me with the problem I am having which is this (quoted from a previous post):
"It shows that it is connected in Settings. I put the device in my ear (with it on) and start up itunes but am hearing it through my ipad speakers not the headset. I push the call button on my bluetooth headset and it comes up with Siri on my ipad wanting me to ask a question. I am hearing her through the headset though but nothing else seems to play through the headset."

  • Bluetooth keyboard and maximizing iPad battery life

I bought a new Bluetooth keyboard with my iPad. It drains the ipad's battery noticeably faster. Anyone have tips for max battery life using a Bluetooth keyboard?
    Blessings,
    Patrick.

to get better battery life with any device you minimize its power consumption
    1. minimize your brightness
    2. turn the wifi off if not needed
    3. turn bluetooth off if not needed (in this case duh, but this is for everyone else who has the same question, but not limited to keeping BT running always)
    4. turn off some applications (in this case on the ipad it means, don't listen to music while doing something else, thats really the extent of the multitasking right now.
    5. some applications just hog more power, they werent developed as energy conscious, keep in mind what apps were designed with a portable nature and what were designed with an around the house nature

Everywhere that I've checked it is not possible to do this. I would like to even do this using the vkb. I hate having to stretch my thumb all the way up just to send a message. It's messaging, not a report or email. Seems backwards. Hopefully some day Apple can add this option.

  • Apple Bluetooth keyboard won't pair with new iPad mini

Apple Bluetooth keyboard won't pair with new iPad mini

I have same results. I have an ipad mini and it will not pair with my apple keyboard. I bought a mini keyboard with bluetooth 3.0 and it will not pair either.  Is my ipad defective?  Or do i need a keyboard with bluetooth 4.0?  Also - the mini keypad will pair with my ipad2 and my iphone 4.  Only difference I can find is the ipad mini has bluetooth 4.0.  Seems it should be downward compatible but maybe not.. I am not a blutooth expert!

Can I use an iMac Bluetooth Keyboard with an iPad1 or iPad2?
Do I need a keyboard that state's it is for ipad?  Or can I use the Apple iMac Bluetooth keyboard for my ipad?
I don't see anywhere on the Apple iMac keybaord box that states it is compatible.
I find the 3rd party ipad keyboards to be flimsy in construction.

Can I use apple bluetooth keyboard with my samsung tv that does not have a built in bluetooth

To my knowledge, no. A Bluetooth device will connect to something that has appropriate BT hardware.
