Question Regarding Outbound Delivery

Hi,
In our business scenario automatic batch determination happening  for creating delivery through VL10B from STO. Now business want if automatic batch determination not happening delivery should not be created.
For Example :
Automatic batch determination is not happening because of batch search strategy is missing in VCH1. So if batch determination is not happening in delivery delivery should not be created.
Normal scenario. If stock in place and batch determination search strategy not maintained it will create delivery without batch detail. They dot want to create the delivery in first place and VL10B should stop it for creating the delivery.
How to resolve the issue?

Hi,
Use incompletion log for Delivery Item and use the status group '04' as below:
Then test and let us know.
Thanks and regards,

  • About packing question in outbound delivery

    Hi there:
Could you tell me whty some outbound delivery need to be packed before PGI and some do not need? I meant what's configuration to trigger that? Thanks.

    Hello
Its definitely depends on the item Category getting determined during delv.
Check TCode VLPP - Packing Control By Item Category (SPRO - LE - Shipping - Packing)
By this you can control for each item category whether it can be packed or whether it requires packing. If an item category is characterized as requiring packing, the item must be packed in delivery, before goods issue. If it can be packed, you can pack it. You cannot pack items with an item category which cannot be packed.
For materials to  be handled in batches, you control whether only items with batch available can be packed, or basically the cumulated main item quantity is packed.
For each item category, enter either the packing control "A" for item categories requiring packing or "B" for item categories which cannot be packed or, leave the field empty if you want to characterize the item category as "can be packed".

  • Question about outbound delivery

    Hi there:
Here is my scenario, our plant 0001 has two storage location A and B,and one material stored in this plant has respective inventory for those two storage location A 100 pcs and B 100 pcs, once we finish placing sales order to this material and be about to create outbound delivery,my question is what's the logice for system to capture inventory for deliverying? Which inventory of storage location will system to issue material ? Suppose we placed order for this material 50 pcs, which inventory of storage location will be decrease to 50 pcs? A or B? What's the logic?

    Dear Allen
Automatic Storage location determination  can be configured in the "Logistics Execution"  by using the SAP Standard rules
    MALA,  RETA, MARE
Pls go through the system  for the logic of MALA & RETA. ( its easy)
MARE is the combination of MALA & RETA
    Meaning,
Systems first uses the logic of MALA,
    IF NOT FEASIBLE,
then it uses the logic of RETA
to determine the storage location automatically in the DELIVERY.
    Alternatively
You can also enter Storage location manually in the Delivery note.
    Hope, it makes you clear.

  • Help required regarding the outbound delivery creation by batch job

    Hi Gurus,
We are facing one problem in the outbound delivery creation.
The deliveries will be created automatically (using program RVV50R10C) from the existing open sales orders through the run of a batch program for every 5 minutes.
The program RVV50R10C is scheduled to run for every 5 minutes, which picks up all the open sales orders and creates outbound deliveries. However, during one run we have found an error.
The error had message class V50R, message no: 024 and message type : I. The error message reads as follows : u201CAt least one order was blocked and could not be deliveredu201D.
When we have checked the VBFS table, it showed the sales document line items with the Message type : E, Message no: 24 and message id : V50R.
Can anybody decipher what could be the reason why this error message is appearing?
    Thanks in advance,
    Krishna

    Hi Friend,
    to clearly identify the issue,
Goto SE38 and give the program which you are using as Back ground job to create the deliveries and  give the sales order number as mltiple entries and execute the program in back ground.
In most of the cases we can identify the issue behind the job while doing this.
please revert me if you need more clarification
    regards,

  • Open production orders and outbound delivery after go-live

    Hello All,
I tried to search answer for this question but could not find answer.
Could anybody suggest, what to do with open production orders and outbound delivery after go-live when WM is activated. As, after go-live WM-PP interface will be activated and system should consume material from storage bin specified in control cycle and that will happen for newly created production order after go-live,but what about existing production orders how to update production supply area against work center in production order.
Similarly with outbound delivery how to update WM status after go-live.
    Thanks in advance

Thanks to both Jurgen and Sander
Regarding production order yes, one way is to re-read PP master data in production orders, but is that the only way to handle this or do we have any other option?
I was aware of re-read PP master data but it will real time consuming and also if it will problematic for already released or partially confirmed production orders.

  • Print HU label from Outbound delivery using output determination

    Hi,
We have a business requirement to print HU labels from outbound delivery. The steps followed are
    1) User executes VL02N
    2) User clicks on packing
    3) Material is entered to pack. HU is automatically generated.
    4) After saving the delivery, output message is triggered.
    Output determination is as follows
    1) An Z output type is created.
    2) Form entry and smartform name is assigned to this output type
    Issue:
The issue is when the output message is triggered and the code in the form entry is executed, the handling unit (from nast) is not yet committed in the database. Since it is not updated in the database table, we cannot get any handling unit data to be printed.
Any inputs on how to print HU labels using output determination from outbound delivery is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Sandeep

    Hi Surya,
Thanks for the reply. But, my question was how to print labels from VL02N when i pack a material on this delivery.

    Sandeep

  • Manual addition of line item allowed in Outbound delivery

    Dear Experts,
In the "Outbound delivery" document created with reference to "sales Order" if we tried to add one more line item manually then, system is accepting that line item without any warning / error message.
but as per our requirement system should not allow to add manual line item in the delviery document. So can any body give some suggestion on this to solve the problem.
In the copy control from Sales Order to delivery we maintained the following setting.
    In the header level,
    Conditions
    Order requirements     001    Header
    Combination requirmt   051    Combination
    Data Transfer
    Header Data            001    Header
    In the item level,
    Conditions
    Order requirements     101   Item
    _Data Transfer_
    Item data              101   Item
    Item Ext. System
    Business data          2     Business Data

    Hi Lakshmipathi Sir,
    A related question on this:
Lets say I have an STO of 100 EA. When I create the Replenishment OBD, system will automatically copy 100 EA into the delivery.
Now user wants to split this line into 2 lines into 60 EA and 40 EA.
User will change the first line from 100 to 60. So far so good!
Now I want to add the additional line with the remaining open quantity. Is there a way to do that?
    Regards
    Siddharth

  • How to set block to Outbound delivery?

    Hello Dear Experts,
We are creating sales order and creating outbound delivery
for that order. This delivery will be distributed (via automatically generated iDoc type DELVRY03) to NONSAP(warehouse management).
The problem is that the "Distribution status" in Outbound Delivery (LIKP-VLSTK) doesn't set automatically to the "Distributed" after IDoc generation (we need this flag to prevent the "Post Goods issue" before receiving the confirmation from foreign system).
    Questions:
    1. Are there any ways to set this status manually via BAPi functions?
    2. How can I block delivery not changing this status?
    3. Is it possible to change this status manually in dB?
    Regards,
    Alexander.

  • Handling unit cost in outbound delivery

    Hello,
When i create an outbound delivery i pack the materials in handling units.
My question is how to include the packaging material of the handling unit within the delivery in order we can debit the customer.
In fact in the delivery we are sending the customer not only the materials from the order but also the packaging material (such as pallet) so we want to include this packaging material in the costs.
    Thanks in advance.
    Shmulik

    Dear Eric,
if you also want to add the weight of the packaging materials to the weight of the delivery, you will have to create a delivery item for the packaging materials. Please check note 831204 for the necessary settings.
I hope I could help you with this.
    Regards,
    Ely

  • Subsequent outbound delivery split with serial numbers

    Hi,
I have a question about subsequent outbound delivery split with already assigned serial numbers.
    Case:
First delivery is created and serial numbers are assigned. Now we have to do a subsequent delivery split for that delivery. In SAP standard, it's not possible to do a subsequent delivery split if serial numbers are already assigned.
Does anyone know how we can handle this?
    Best Regards,
    Florian

well, seems to be not possible at all.
