Question regarding sounds/notification

I have my bluetooth ear piece connected to my iphone. When I receive a text message the sound goes to my ear piece only. Is there any way to get the sound to come to my phone as well? When the phone rings, my phone and Bluetooth rings. I would like to get the same thing for notifications. Thanks.

What you have observed is the way it works. It's not user adjustable.

  • Question regarding Request Notification Template - OIM 9.1.0.2

    Hi All,
I have a question regarding notification generated when a request is raised. Currently, the body of the notification is referring the requestor who raise the request (the body of email has attributes like <%Requester Info.First Name%>, <%Requester Info.Last Name%>). Its fine if the requestor is raising the request for him/her self. However, if the requestor is raising the request on behalf of another user, then this notification is causing confusions, since its referring the requestor only in its body and not the beneficiary.
Is there a way to include the end beneficiary's details in the body of the notification?
    Please help in this regard
    Regards
    Vinay

    Hi Gurus,
    Any idea on this?

  • SMS Repat sound notification

    Hi,
I just got new iphone hourray !!!
But i have a little question ... I'm running a business and one one of our service is down we getting a SMS ... but i didnt see any option to repeat the new SMS sound notification.
The sound (notification) play only one time ... it there any way to repeat this notification ?
Because if we got one at 3 AM and if im sleeping and this single beep will not waking me up
    Thanks for your help.
    Regards,
    Dany

EXACTLY my problem with the iPhone... EXACTLY!
My NOC sends us SMS notifications when servers/services are down or having issues. One chirp doesnt do the trick! I used to use PhoneAlarm for Windows Mobile (GREAT APPLICATION with a GREAT developer).
The only iPhone app that comes close is Intelliscreen and Kate (Caterpiller). Problem... These applications require you to Jailbreak the iPhone as Apple may/will NOT allow apps to run in the background - TOTAL JOKE for the IT and Business customers.
Unfortunately, our Network Operations people cannot have iPhones. Windows Mobile and others are it for now.
Apple should add repeating alarm options...

  • Question Regarding MIDI and Sample Accuracy

    Hi,
I have 2 questions regarding MIDI.
    1. MIDI is moved by ticks. In the arrange window however, you can move a region by samples. When doing this, you can move within values of the ticks (which you can see on your position box that pops up) Now, will this MIDI note actually be played back at that specific sample point, or will it round the event to the closest tick? (example, if I have a MIDI note directly on 1.1.1.1, and I move the REGION in the arrange... will that MIDI note now fall on the sample that I have moved the region to, or will it be rounded to the closest tick?)
    2. When making a midi template from an audio region, will the MIDI information land exactly on the sample of the transient, or will it be rounded to the closest tick?
I've looked through the manual, and couldn't find any specific answer to these questions.
    Thanks!

Ok, I've done some experimenting, and here are my results.
I believe those numbers ARE samples. I came to this conclusion by counting (for some reason it starts on 11) and cutting a region to be 33 samples long (so, minus 11, is 22 actual samples). I then went to the Audio Bin window, and chose to view region length as samples. And there it said it: 22 samples. So, you can in fact move MIDI regions by samples!
Second, I wanted to see if the MIDI notes in the region itself would be quantized to the nearest tick. I cut a piece of audio, so it had a 1 sample attack (zoomed in asa far as I could in the sample editor, selected the smallest portion, and faded in, and made the start point, the region start position). I saved the region as a new audio file, and loaded it up in the exs sampler.
I then made a MIDI region, with and triggered the sample on beat 1 (quantized, on the money). I then went into the arrange window, made a fixed cycle length, and bounced the audio. I then moved the MIDI region by one sample to the right. I did this 22 times (which is the number of samples in a tick, at 120, apparently). After bouncing all of these (cycle position remained fixed, only the MIDI region was moving) I imported all the audio into the arrange on new tracks, and YES!!! The sample start was cascaded by a sample each time!
    SO.
Not only can you move MIDI regions by sample, but the positions are NOT quantized to Logics ticks!
This is very good news, and glad I worked this out!
(if anyone thinks this sounds wrong, please correct me, but I'm pretty sure I proved it, in my test)

  • Hi, I want to downgrade from OSX LEOPARD to OSX TIGER but I have a few questions regarding this. My iMac is originally from 2007 it came preloaded with tiger. I have original install tiger discs version 10.4.10. Is it safe to downgrade or not please help

Hi, I want to downgrade from OSX LEOPARD to OSX TIGER but I have a few questions regarding this. My iMac is originally from Sep 2007 it came preloaded with tiger. I have original install (2) tiger discs version 10.4.10.  I want to know if it is safe and what are the necessary steps to do so. Also by downgrading im wondering if a lot of apps nowadays support tiger for example I have photoshop version 5 and 4 these are very important to me. One last question does anyone know of any reliable virus protection for mac that doesnt slow down your computer? because I have read that a lot of them do so. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it! Here are the specs for my iMac
    Model Name:
    iMac
      Model Identifier:
    iMac7,1
      Processor Name:
    Intel Core 2 Duo
      Processor Speed:
    2 GHz
      Number Of Processors:
    1
      Total Number Of Cores:
    2
      L2 Cache:
    4 MB
      Memory:
    2 GB
      Bus Speed:
    800 MHz

Most of the time a perception of general slow performance is the result of installing third party junk alleged to speed up, "clean" or "optimize" your Mac, or to look for viruses that don't exist. Ideally you would know what you installed so you can uninstall it, but if you don't know or aren't sure there are techniques such as Safe Mode and creating a temporary user account to confirm that suspicion.
If you open Activity Monitor it may show a process, or processes, that occupy a lot of your system's time.
Slowness confined solely to web browser activity is often the result of an inexorable progress toward websites that demand ever more processor-intensive tasks. If your slow performance is strictly limited to web browsing, you might try disabling Flash by either uninstalling it, or use utilities such as ClickToFlash that allow you to control what Flash content gets loaded. Flash in itself is not inherently evil, but there is nothing to stop websites or the advertisers who pay for them from writing horrible Flash code that can do everything from hogging 100% of your CPU's time to causing random crashes. You can watch Activity Monitor as in the above to correlate these troublesome web pages with performance degradation.
You are correct; if your computer shipped with Tiger you may certainly revert to it. I forgot that Tiger was shipping on new Macs as recently as five years ago. To downgrade it would be necessary to completely erase your hard disk and boot with the Tiger installation DVD, followed by installing it anew. Such drastic measures are not necessary and you are unlikely to be satisfied with the results anyway.
Assuming your system is free of third party parasitic junk attached to OS X in an ill-conceived attempt to improve upon it, that your hard disk drive is sound and the boot volume has enough free space to work with, by far the best performance-enhancing improvement would be to add more memory. Buy as much as your computer can use and that you can afford. 2 GB is not that much any more.

  • Question regarding PO approval

    Hi All,
I have a question regarding PO approval.
I know we can do the delegate at the application level, but if I grant a read-only access of my outlook inbox to person1 and person1 accept a notification, is there a way, at the application level, to know that it's person1 who accepted the request and not me?
I guess with the NID, Oracle knows the email was sent for approval to me and will be accepted by me, even if person1 accepted it?
In the workflow inbox, I can see it was person1. But I want to know at the application level if there is anything that can be done to know it was person1.
Do not hesitate if I am not clear.
    Thank you~

    It is not possible.
When you grant someone access to your outlook, it is as if the person is sitting in your chair and clicking on the notification.
Oracle has no way of knowing it was you or someone else.
    Hope this answers your question,

  • No email sound notification

    Hi all,
on my new iPhone 3G I have several email accounts set to check every 15 min. When the iPhone is in standby mode it does receive those new mails, which I can see on the Mail icon when I switch on, but I never hear a sound notification, although switched on.
Is this supposed to work like that?
    Thanks

I have been having the same problem and even got Apple to replace the phone.
Same problem on the second phone.
But, everyone I know who has an iPhone, including my husband, has the email sound working fine.
    Has anyone found the answer?
Also, a question: What type of email account is giving you the problem and what is the domain?

  • Is powernap supposed to play sound notifications?

My macbook is always connected to the power adapter and I use it in closed lid clamshell mode with an external display and input devices. I believe my macbook does sleep in the night but often times I hear new mail notification sounds from my speakers in the night and in the morning! I believe it might be fetching emails using power nap but my question is, is it supposed to play sound notifications during power nap?
Please let me know so that I can ensure if my macbook is entering proper sleep or not. Any log I can see to find out if it has slept at given times?

    Hello there, AceNeerav.
The following Knowledge Base article provides some great information about Power Nap and the question you ask:
    OS X: About Power Nap

    Silence
During Power Nap the lights go out on your computer. System sounds also run silent with no fans (Flash storage Macs only, not including Fusion Drive). When your Mac wakes up, it’s ready to go.
Note: If you use the Play Sound or Send Message feature of Find My Mac, Power Nap does not make a sound.

  • Question Regarding Mesh with 3702 and non AC ap´s

    Hello!
quick question regarding MESH deployments with 2 different sorts of AP´s: AC and non-AC modells: If my 3702i is my root AP´s, and 3602i my MAP - will AC still work in 80Mhz, or will I have to switch to 40mhz (and thus crippling (???) AC performance?)
Not 100% sure on this... I *think* it should still work for the normal 802.11n connection, but I´m not sure if the 80mhz channel width (needed??) for AC, will cause the non-ac 3602i to be stranded?
    Thanks alot for your insight!

Currently, my network DHCP server is a software based DHCP server. In reading over your post if I understood correctly it sounds like the managed switch would have its own hardware based DHCP server to assign IP addresses to those clients identified on the "external" VLAN. Did I understand that correctly or did misread something?
DHCP server will be software based, even though you defined it on your switch, it is DHCP service running on its OS.
I am configuring this setup for a small business application and will need to purchase a managed switch with 16 or 24 ports. Do you have any recommendations on a particular managed switch that will handle the VLAN configuration and include POE while keeping costs in mind.

  • Question regarding Digital Out (COAX) not mini plug on Audigy ZS

    Hi.
I have a question regarding the Digital Out and Digital In (COAX/RCA) Inputs I have on the back of my computer and if theres an easy way to hook the digital out with only a regular Digital Coax cable to a Home Theater receiver and get 5./DTS, OR do u have to use the 6 channel/analog (by using 3cables)or using the digital out (miniplug to RCA).
IF not what are these connectors for and what kind of sound streams do these inputs handle.
    /Regards

    wmadoss,
Do you have the Audigy 2 ZS Platinum or Platinum Pro? The normal Audigy 2 ZS card on it's own does not have any RCA SPDIF output/input, only the dri'vebays do. If you have a Platinum/Platinum Pro set, with an external dri've, then you can connect an RCA to RCA cable directly to that, and then to your receiver.
If you have a standard Audigy 2 ZS card then you will need to use a minijack to RCA (female) adapter first, and then connect the RCA to RCA cable to that.
For music and games it's best to use the three analog outputs.

if you go to pimpmypre.com, you can change the ringtone for your text/email.  unfortunately, you cannot change them individually for text and email, but it expands your options from the pre default ringtone.

  • Question regarding mic plugged into audio in/optical digital audio in port

So I have this external headset... headphone/mic set combo... I plug the headphone jack in the headphone slot and the mic jack in the audio in/optical digital audio in port slot in the back of my IMAC. I go to my system preferences select "sound" and "line in - Audio line in port". But when recording, it's still recording from the internal mic? How do I just record just from the external mic??? What am I doing wrong? I've read all the other questions regarding how to get the external mics to work, but it's still recording from the internal mic? Help?
      Mac OS X (10.4.9)

I never expected APPLE wouldn't make a mac that didn't have a proper mic jack?
It has a proper one, a good one, a professional one, not the toy that comes with most PCs. Apple has used line level analog audio input for years.
From Wikipedia;Line level is a term used to denote the strength of an audio signal used to transmit analog sound information between audio components such as CD and DVD players, TVs, audio amplifiers, and mixing consoles.
In contrast to line level, there are weaker audio signals, such as those from microphones and instrument pickups, and stronger signals, such as those used to drive headphones and loudspeakers. The strength of the various signals does not necessarily correlate with the output voltage of a device; it also depends on the source's output impedance, or the amount of current available to drive different loads.
