Question regarding standard BAPIs used to change quotes etc.,

Hello friends
Are SAP BAPI calls for quote change the same for ECC and CRM?
We are trying to get more info on standard BAPI such as BAPI_CUSTOMERQUOTATION_CHANGE. I heard that SAP Accelerator Web Service may not work for changing quotes in CRM.
Any feedback on comment will be highly appreciated.

Questions regarding currency conversion using SPRUNCONVERSION.

Hi all,
I have implemented currency conversion using SPRUNCONVERSION stored procedure. I have following questions regarding how does it work.
1. Is it mandatory to create FxTrans Business Rules with SPRUNCONVERSION?
2. How does it work internally? How does it look up rate from the rate application?
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Any reference to any documents will help.

1. Yes since it will base it's translation rules based on what is defined on the currency conversion business rules.
2. The stored procedure SPRUNCONVERSION scans all records found in the selected region of data and translates them according to the RATETYPE property assigned to the ACCOUNT specified in each record, based on the following mechanism:
Note:
All ACCOUNTS with no RATETYPE (ratetype = blank) will be translated with a factor of 1
All ACCOUNTS with the reserved RATETYPE = NOTRANS will not be translated
All other ACCOUNTS will be translated according to the definitions contained in the table of parameters called clcFXTRANS.
How the RATE table is selected
While most customers require a single table of rates, there are situations when more than one set of rates is required. In this situation, the translation procedure uses the RateEntity dimension to select the correct table of rates to use.
Whenever a destination currency is selected, the procedure searches for a RateEntity member flagged with this currency in the Currency property. For example, if translating into USD, the system uses the RateEntity member that has the Currency property set to USD.
If there is no RateEntity flagged as the destination currency, the system will use the RateEntity with Currency = 'u2019 (blank).
In addition to this, some exceptions by ENTITY can be applied. For example, some entities just entering in the consolidation perimeter may need to be converted at their own specific set of rates. These entities may have a corresponding RateEntity member in the RATE cube. All ENTITIES having a corresponding RateEntity member in the RATE cube will use that member as rate table. For example, if there is a RateEntity member named like the ENTITY USOps, the RateEntity member USOps will be used to translate the values of entity ENTITY USOps.
The RateEntity member, when representing an ENTITY, may be any of the following:
A valid base level or parent member ID from the ENTITY dimension of the main cube
A list of members of the ENTITY dimension, as defined filtering the members using a value of the DIMLIST property (or any property whose name begins with "DIMLISTu201D) of such dimension.

Question regarding the FAN used by WD My Cloud EX2

Hi, I have a WD My Cloud EX2 product. Using the diagnositic tool in the dashboard I noticed the Disks temperature is 57 C° and the FAN "RPM is to 0"!!!! The temperature The entire case is hot. I attached an image in ITALIAN language that show the situation. The temperature is NORMAL but in my opinion there is something strange. Must the NAS reach a particular temperature to start the FAN? I had the exact same problem. My unit would give me a warning about "overheating" but my fan speed was always reported as zero. I was not able to see the fan spinning during normal operations, but this does not mean it was not spinning when I was not looking. So I ran the built-in diagnostic routine, no problems were reported and I could see the fan moving during the diagnostic routine. In normal operations when I would get the overheating message, the fan speed was always reported as zero RPM. It seems to me that the diagnostic routine correctly makes the fan spin so no fan problem is then reported, which gives a person a false sense of no fan problem. Two weeks ago I returned my unit for a refund because of the overheating (zero fan RPM) problem and I also had an ongoing problem with the built-in Amazon S3. I would like to purchase another EX2 because I think the EX2 is a great value, but at this point I'm concerned about the overheating problem and I see other people are having the exact same problem. Certainly it could be a hardware issue, but I wonder if its a software (firmware) issue. I have no evidence or information to say either way, but in my situation since the diagnostic routine correctly made the fan spin, it makes me think the issue is more software/firmware.

Essentially you'll instantiate a format, NumberFormatter for
numbers for example, and set it's properties like e.g. showing a
thousand separator and then one some event of the TextInput --
valueCommit for example -- you'll do something like:
ti.text = nf.format(ti.text)
this is would also give you opportunity to validate user
input using the same formatter and valid event.

Intricate questions regarding update to Mavericks (ProTools, Final Cut, etc.) 2011 MacPro

I rarely use the AppStore, as my machine is primarily used for Final Cut Studio 2 and ProTools 9. I still have OS 10.6, and for the first time, I saw the message "This app requires 10.7 or later" I know your first reaction is going to be, "Why don't you just buy new programs?" The answer is because I am poor. When I was running my production company I dropped 7k on a 8-core MacPro with a RAID card and high res monitor. Machine is sick, I love it, but Macs are notorious for being incompatible with older programs (check the ProTools forums).
First off, do any of you know if my ProTools 9 and Final Cut Studio 2 will work?
If so, then what are the necessary steps I need to take pre-Mavericks? Will I need to backup everything?
I had been holding off updating through the later versions because of the ProTools incompatibility as everyone I spoke with said it is a nightmare for that program.

If you are making your living with DVD recorder it's because you already have one. If you need a brand new one, you can buy it from any DVD recorder manufacturer. (Actually, Apple never manufactured DVD recorders).
The only one Apple computer doesn't have DVD recorder today is the Macbook Air. So, there is no reason to speculate about that, but yes, sooner o later DVD will dead, as cassette did, as floppy did, as VHS did.

Questions regarding authentication used in SRDemo ADF Tutorial

I am currently in the process of learning ADF with the help of SR Demo application from OTN.
I have a few questions regarding the authentication used in SRDemo ADF Tutorial.
1) Why do I need to specify the list of the all the users in the jazn-data.xml file with the name and credential attributes?
2) How I change the authentication mechanism to point to database tables.(If it's not using, correct me if I am wrong).
3) The prompt which I am getting for authentication is like OEM authentication. Can I change this to a normal authentication login page?
4) As an option I would like to pass the person who logged in to windows , should be able to log in to the application. How can I pass the username(which I have in a java string) to my application and get logged in?

STEP 3 - Create the API Method Using the BAPI WIZARD
The BAPI wizard is used toTo expose the remote function module as a BAPI. The wizard will generate some additional code, so the function module is a valid method of the BOR. This allows the BAPi to be called as a workflow method in addition to be called by an outside program.
Note: Each functionmodule corresponds to a method in the BOR
Go to the Busines Object Builder SWO1.
You can either create the new Object type as a subtype of an existing business object or create a new business object from scratch. In this example it would be obvious to create the Object type as a subtype of BUS2005 Production order. However, to illustrate how to create a new Object type from scratch, we will do this.
In the Object/Interface type field write the name of the new Business Object: ZORDERSTAT. Press enter and fill in the additional fields necessary to create the object type.
Supertype: Not relevant because we are creating our object from scratch
Program. This is the name of the program where the wizard generates code for the Object type, NOT the function module we craeted earlier. The program name must not be the name of an existinbg program.
Press enter and create the new business object. Note that when you create the business object a standard interface, an attribute ObjectType and the methods ExistenceCheck and Display are automatically generated. These cannot be changed !
The next step is to add the Z_BAPI_GET_ORDER_STATUS method to the business object. Select Utillities -> API methods -> Add method and write the name of the functionmodule in the dialogbox. Next the dialogbox show below will be shown. This is the start screen of the BAPI wizard. Proceed with wizard by pressing the button.
After you have finished the wizard, tyou will notice that the ZGetOrderStatus has been added to the business object:
You can doubleclick on the method to see its properties. To use the business object you must change the Object type status to Implemented. Use menu Edit->Change releases status->Object type->To implemented. No you can test thge object (Press F8).
Note that the BAPI wizard has added a wrapper class for the function module so it can be sued as method in the business object. Choose menu Goto->Program to display the program:

1. When trying to enhance a standard BAPI, you can make use to the new enhancement framework to extend the interface. However, you will need to have at least mySAP 2005 based on SAP NW 2004s.
2. Copy the BAPI to a Z_BAPI and use that. Go to transaction SE80 and display the function module (BAPI) to be copied. Press left mouse button on FM in the tree on the left and choose copy. In some cases it might be better to copy the whole function group since in the top include of the function group, all global variables are declared which are used in your function module. so instead of declaring them yourself, it would be faster to copy the whole function group.
3. Change the interface via modification, you will need an access key.

Issue while creating Outbound Delivery using Standard BAPI

I am trying to create an outbound delivery for a Sales order using the Standard BAPI - BAPI_OUTB_DELIVERY_CREATE_SLS.
After giving the valid inputs for Sales order no and doc no, am getting an error as "No instance of object type OutboundDelivery has been created. External reference:" But when trying to create manually there is no problem. Please suggest what may be the issue and how to correct it?

I am trying to create outbound delivery using BAPI_OUTB_DELIVERY_CREATE_SLS & BAPI_DELIVERYPROCESSING_EXEC. But no success. Getting "No instance of object type outbound delivery has been created" in return.

Needs to be passed in import parameters.

Support message creation using "BAPI_NOTIFICATION_CREATE" standard BAPI

Hello Experts,
I am a ABAPer making use of "BAPI_NOTIFICATION_CREATE", for creation of support desk message in SOLMAN 4.0 . The problems that i am facing , when i create message using this BAPI are,
1)By default the notification type is taken as 'SLFN',though i pass 'SLF1' as my input parameter to BAPI.WHY is this happening?
2)The description part of the message is not coming up in the support desk screen ,though i pass it in NOTIF_TEXT_LINES in TDLINE.
3)Support Team value is getting picked up in the partners tab of Transaction data in support desk screen.
4)I would like to ADD ATTACHMENTS also ? where should i pass this parameter ?
Other than this i am getting the rest of the feilds,in the message created
If some one has worked with this standard BAPI pls send me the details of the input parameters that i have to pass for the message creation and give solution for my problem ASAP.
If there are any SAP notes or blogs that are related to this,pls send me those details also, its a urgent requirement.

IDOC trigger using Z change pointers for standard SAP table

For IDOC trigger, is using custom change pointers on standard SAP master data tables, a good idea? A seasoned abaper told me "it will mess with the standard" and further told to go with scheduled job.
So, for example, say that my data for table T001K is updated via transports in PRD and I need to transfer this updated data via IDOC to an external system. Since there is no standard message type for this data, I will create a new one. Further, I will create a new change pointer for table T001K (it already has six fields with their data elements activated for Change Documents). Now, the question is, will this be a good idea to capture data and trigger IDOC? Or a batch program with calls to standard FM to read CDHRD/CDPOS be a more suitable option.
I need to know if a near instantaneous data transfer (and an effecient one as far as the system performance and reliability is concerned) can be acheived. If there is any other way of doing this, I am not aware of it!
Any one has any input/experience on this?

Hi Viktor,
I think the batch program approach would be a good solution as the by this way you are taking matter into your own hands rather giving control to the SAP framework because you may have to test out the other approach as to how the standard SAP framework is behaving for custom change pointers.

Question regarding to changing the region of the app with remaining balance
Hello, I am attempting to change the location of my app store which has remaining balance of 0.01$. In order to change the location of the store, it requires spending all the remaining balance. As my balance is too low " 0.01$" to buy an app from the store, I am not able to change the region of my app store. Moreover, Since I am not a residence in USA, I am not able to use my credit card either.
I am wondering if it is possible to change the location of my app store with a remaining balance OR to delete my current balance.

Hi,
I have the following question regarding Polling data from database using DB Adapters in BPEL -
If I am selecting data from multiple tables/view to ultimately generate hierarchical xml document, is there a way that I specify polling all of these tables/views. Is polling limited only to one table/view?

Hi Ravi,
your question seems to have been answered for the question of polling a set of tables with one as the root, and getting back a hierarchical xml representing multiple related tables.
However you can also poll for changes to both the root table and its related tables. Not sure if this was your question or the one already answered. If the former please check out the sample
