Question Regarding youtube in iPod touch

Found somewhere that you need an iTunes account to activate the youtube function in the ipod touch, but im thinking what about those living in asian countries where they dont have an iTunes store, especially those who are underaged who cant afford to snag their parents credit card just to open an account.
So my question is that what are the requirements to activate the youtube function on the ipod Touch, what about the others (Safari and itunes store in particular)?
can someone clear my doubts about this?

I cant find the none option under the billing part, after i enter my details (acc user, password, birthdate etc).
On the other note, so its confirmed that you dont need an iTunes account to activate the youtube function right? kinda paraniod type of person sorry =(

1. When I first got an iPod touch (4th gen) I synced it (to start it up) on my mom's Mac Laptop. I finally got my own laptop and tryed to sync my music and info from my iPod to my ASUS laptop, but it said that the only way to do that was to clear all of my info. (I kinda forgot what it said my options were) but I am not sure what to do now. I want all of my stuff from my iPod on my laptop, but I don't want it to delete all of my stuff. Do I need to use a hard drive? Or download it another way other than syncing it?

2. I downloaded a single from iTunes before, but I ended up getting the full album later (CD) and downloaded it to my computer. Now I have two albums. One of them is just the single. And the other one is the whole album (other than the single). I want to put them together onto 1 album but I am not sure how to. How to I transfer the single onto the alum?

- For the album, right click on the songs and click on Get Info. Go to the Info tab. Change the track or disk number of the one song so it fits in with that of the other songs.

every time i open you tube it says "you must first connect to itunes with an internet connection to enable youtube" and i have connected to itunes alot already but youtube still wont work?

Wifi gets disconnected after sometime while watching youtube on iPod Touch.

When I'm watching video on youtube, the wifi network suddenly gets disconnected after some time.
Even when I goto settings->wifi, I'm unable to find the wifi network.
However, at the same time I can find the wifi network and am able to browse internet on my laptop and mobile phone. I get the wifi network back, on when I switch off wifi and switch it after some 2mins of time.

Youtube on ipod touch

i cannot log into my youtube account on my ipod touch anymore. i've tried logging in on the internet browser and my computer and it works fine. it only when i try to log on to my account on the actual youtube app that it can't log on. all it says is "youtube unavaliable" and it dosn't log on to my account. i've also tried other accounts on the app itself and they have logged in to, but its just my main youtube account that won't log in anymore. i have looked through the help topics on youtube and apple and have found nothing of use. please help me solve my problem because it is very frustrating.

Yes this problem has been confirmed across the world. The iphone app is currently not working. I would suggest for the time being go to youtube.com-goes to mobile version on your ipod. The mobile version is actually much better than the iphone app because it has more of the features from the actual website(thumb's up, better quality,faster). Once you get to the mobile youtube site press the "+" button and add the page to your home screen. A nice youtube icon will appear and you can access your account just like you would do with the standard iphone app. Youtube is having problems evidently so just wait it out or start using the much better mobile version.

Since Apple have allowed three different developers to create an App, one with an identical name to their own App, two more with very similar and easily confusable names (just look at the icon for iMessage - Just write a message), and one has to interpret the OP's questions broadly, given the use of "imessagew" and the fact that he/she was asking specifically which iOS was on their iPod, then my answer was appropriate but incomplete, not wrong.
It begs the question of who wrote in the added text "iOS 2.X"?
It also means that if the OP wants to purchase the Philip Strain App, he/she can do so.

If you can't turn it on:
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Can't download youtube on ipod touch

My daughter's new iPod touch has been updated but won't download YouTube. The "free" box doesn't react.

Okay - worked with Apple Care last night and found a lot of other things wrong. He tried a restore but it didnt work. My iPod is just screwed up. He told me to take it to my local Apple Store to have it looked at.

Question About Texting on iPod Touch

Against my will I am being dragged into the world of texting.... that being said please forgive me if this is a "dumb" question but I'm a real "texting newby".
If I receive a text message on my phone ( not an iPhone )from someone that may, or may not have the same wireless carrier as me can I reply to that person using some type of texting application on my iPod Touch? If so, where can I find instructions?

I use a free app I downloaded called textPlus. The itouch will only be able to send messages with a wifi connection. The person receiving the message will be charged for receiving your text. But messages you send from the itouch will be free.

Question about a lost iPod touch 4

I have an iPod touch 4 that I gave to my employers' 6 yo son. The touch is linked to my iTunes acct. Question: They lost it, out of state. They have looked for it, including gone back to stores, etc. Before I consider it gone, I was just wondering if by chance my contacts would automatically be on there, since I have a contact set up for me with my phone number and address.(maybe someone would be nice and mail it to me) Also, would I know if someone erased it? No, I did not have find my iphone set up on it. I don't think my account has been compromised I have an iTunes card balance that hasn't changed and no unauthorized purchases. How safe am I, and should I change acct info?

- Someone may email you if you did not have the screen lock passcode. If I found an unlocked device I would go to the Settings>iTunes and App Store and send an email to the Apple ID email address.

No, not all, though most will. The game should specify its requirements in the App Store.

Any WiFi hotspot to which you have open access should work. For any hotspot that has security and so requires special configuration to access, you'll have to check with the administrator of the hotspot. Most will work, but some may have special security arrangements that would not work with an iPod.

Questionable 8gb 3rd generation iPod Touch advertising

I picked up a 8GB iPod Touch this past weekend from CompUSA which was marketed as a 3rd generation unit. It wasn't until after Tuesday when I got back home when I realized something wasn't right when a handful of programs refused to install or run properly. I ended up speaking with Apple tech support and found out that my iPod Touch was actually a 2nd generation unit. I haven't been following the device very closely so I wasn't even there were no such things as 8GB 3rd Generation units. Has anyone else run into this problem?
I double checked the labeling on the bottom of the packaging said it was a 3rd generation unit which from what I learned is impossible since they don't exist. It was just a 2nd generation unit with iOS 4.0 installed on it.

At this point my dilemma is I've been unable to find the receipt so far for the unit to return it right now and I'd also have to deal with a 2 1/2 hour drive to just return the device. I also have to deal with a %15 restocking fee too since I opened the packaging. So all in all I'm losing either way at the moment. I've heard nothing from Apple after I was told to send them a feedback with my contact info regarding the situation. I'm tempted to just sell the unit and cut my loses at this point. Any helpful suggestions?
