Question Related to a Comno Box field.

Hi All,
We have an access policy that will assign an AD group to the user. The rule that is determining this is like if new user = 1 and userid not null then true.
After this rule satisfy the access policy triggers and the AD groups are provisioned. Say during an update to the user profile I change the new User field value to 0. Will the AD groups be removed automatically for that user.

I dont want to revoke the resource provisioned through this access policy for any reason except when the user is disabled. This is what happening in my case.
There is field called "new user". The field is defined as boolean combobox in User Defined Fields. Now my flat file connector is assigning a value 1 or 0 to this field depending on the result of a check. When I look in the Recon manager the value assigned is shown as 'X'. I checked the USR table and the value saved is '1'.
Next time when there is an update event to this user this value is agin getting assigned to 'X'. But this time the value in the USR table is also changing to 'X'.
When the value is changing to X there couple AD groups that are automatically getting removed. The Revoke if no Longer applies option is unchecked for this access policy.
Any suggestions on how the combo Box value can be set using my Flat file connector.

1. Why Java is designed to only permit single

How do you get different check box fields to display based upon a list box selection?

I am a relative newbie with LifeCycle Designer ES using v.8.2.1 to create interactive forms to replace manual hardcopies. I am working on a form that has a few pull down list boxes. I want different check box fields to display based upon the selection of an item from one of the pull down lists.
Any guidance on the best way to accomplish this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Here is a sample with script in the change event of the dropdown. You may want to clear previous checkbox choices once the subform is hidden.
It is good to group objects in a subform - that way you only need to hide the subform and not each object in turn.

How to insert check box fields in a htmlb: tableview

Hi,
Can anybody tell me how to insert check box fields in a htmlb: tableview in a sequence of rows in a table view. How to generate the sequence no for the checkbox inorder to know the row that is checked.

Here is the code which has the custom "Checkbox" in the tableview & Triggers the event. You can identify the checkbox based on cell ID (p_cell_id) in the method "IF_HTMLB_TABLEVIEW_ITERATOR~RENDER_CELL_START" & Based on the event name + Cell ID. Look at the code & let me know if you any issue.

How to make multi-box fields for name or address in a PDF form to be filled in?

I would like to know how to make fields for name and address in a PDF form.
I am now using Acrobat 8 Pro on Windows Vista. I have downloaded a form in the format of a PDF file. Basically it is just a file holding images of pages of the document, and there are no fields for me to type something on it using computer. This form will be used frequently by me, but I don't want to print it out and fill it in every time by hand. I want to fill it in in the computer and print copies of it when needed. The output will then be much more neat and tidy.
I have seen PDF forms with blanks for typing name and address, which means the form can be filled in on the computer before printing. They are special, as these blanks allow users to type name and address with every character occupying a box in the field, which consists of ten boxes or so. These are not ordinary textfields. I want to make similar inputting field as well.
Does anyone knows something about making these input fields with each character using 1 little box in the multi-box field? Any ideas are appreciated.

Just thought I'd add my solution, I decided to go with WebDAV and I think it actually works better than the iTunes way, the steps are pretty much the same but avoiding the iTunes interface just makes things easier and faster.
I followed this guide but it does have a small mistake in the httpd-dav.conf file, on line 2, where it's WebServer/WebDAV">, it should be <Directory "/Library/WebServer/WebDAV">.
The tricky part is setting permissions which if wrong will give you errors when connecting with the iPad, I opted to set all to Read&Write since my home network has a hardware firewall. Another convenience was to add an alias to the webdav share on the Desktop.
I'm still expecting the call from Apple but even if they fix the iTunes I'm sticking with WebDAV, atleast until I see what's new with iOS5 and iCloud this fall which should bring true sync for documents (I'm hoping that they will offer encryption with my own keys, if not, then I'll probably keep using WebDAV).

Per my knowledge,
it is by design that the data type multiple lines of text can only use “contains” and “begins with” operators.
You can also filter the list view using SharePoint Designer,
Open your list AllItem.aspx page in SPD ->click “Filter” > in “Field Name” select your multipe line of text field, in “Comparison” will displayed four choices.

Math in 'Crop Pages' dialog box fields & Arrow key shortcuts

I believe Acrobat is the only Adobe application i've used where you cannot do math in the dialog box fields. For example: In the crop pages dialog box, if the top value is set to '.25in' and I wanted to add '3p6' to that value, I cannot type '.25in + 3p6' like I could in InDesign or Illustrator. Adobe, you spoil us by letting us take advantage of this math feature in InDesign & Illustrator. My calculator has been getting a lot of attention lately.
Also, what happened to using the arrow keys to increment the values up and down (crop pages dialog)? I used the arrows all the time in acrobat 7. Please bring that back! Prepress departments around the world will thank you.

Not all of the listed email recipients on my contact form are receiving the inquiries.    Muse allows me to add several email addresses separated by a semi-colon (see below from Corey Wrote) but only one of the three addresses are receiving the contact form inquiries.

Questions relating to Groupware Integration (Outlook)

Hello,
I have few questions relating to groupware integration for Outlook:
Q1) The "Relate to CRM" option in outlook add-in for end user is available only in client side integration? Is it not available for server sider integration (i.e. in server side, end user cannot directly assign CRM account or Transaction to object in outlook the way it is done in client side)?
Q2) Is there any end user interface (like add-on) available in server side?
Q3)In client side - Can the outlook add-on for SAPCRM be enhanced for different business logic or look n feel?

1) Yes the Relate to SAP CRM function is part of Client-side groupware only.
2) The Add-in is only available with Client-side groupware.
3) The Add-in cannot be customized. However the results can be influenced by parameters in transaction GWIPROFILE.
The information displayed in the Business information Pane can be changed.

Basic Questions related EHPs for SEM

Hi Guys,
I've some basic questions related to EHPs: -
1. If we don't mean to implement any of the new functionalities does it make any sense to implement EHP? In other words do EHPs also have some general improments other than the functionalities which can be specifically activated?
2. If we just activate a functionality and don't implement/ use it can there be any negative impact?
3. In case of a pure technical upgrade from SEM 4.0 to SEM 6.0 which EHP would be recommended?
4. Is there a quick way to find all relevant notes in EHPn which are related to corrections for EHPn-1?

If you see some of my older posts I have had many issues with certain features of the EHP2 functionality but that doesn't mean I would recommned against it.
BCS 6 EHPs 3 & 4 (BCS 6.03 / 6.04) - enhancement packs worth implementing?
BCS 6 EHP 2 (BCS 6.02) - activation of enhancement pack
My recommendation is to implement the EHPs but not necesarrily activate the functions (in SFW5) unless you need them - this means that you will only have to test once after EHP implementation and will have the ability to activate the other features as and when required (although testing is required after activation of course) whereas it might be difficult to persuade your client/basis team to implement EHP4 later if you don't do it now.
In the features of EHP2 (activate FIN_ACC_GROUP_CLOSE) it states that there is a general performance improvement - although I have yet to experience it! From OSS note 1171344 "The functionality which is available in EHP2 consists of...
... Performance improvements of status management, reporting and initial start-up of consolidation workbench and monitor.
Since activating FIN_ACC_GROUP_CLOSE I have had many OSS notes requiring application but i discovered that when the technical team implemented the EHPs (before i joined this client) they somehow forgot the latest SP (support packs) and didn't upgrade to the current level - so make sure that you get the right SPs too (see the links in Greg's link above) to avoid the many OSS notes.
As for your question - "is there a list of OSS notes to specific to EHP upgrades? - the answer is most definietly "NO" - I already asked OSS in desperation!
however, you can see the OSS notes that i have applied listed in the above link ( BCS 6 EHP 2 (BCS 6.02) - activation of enhancement pack )
