Question related to email hacking

Almost two weeks ago I posted a question/concern related to my Verizon email account being hacked. It appears that since I changed my password, the hacker has not been able to access my account.
However my residual question was never answered:
Does Verizon have access to the IP addresses of any computers which may log into an account? In other words, it was another Verizon user (who also sometimes uses a Hughes Satellite connection as well as an iPhone to surf the internet) who did the hacking of my account.
Would that user's IP address be available to law enforcement in this case, or could it be accessible if a subpoena was issued to Verizon to release that information?
Doing so I suspect would make this an easier case to prove.
Thank you.

In short... yes that info is available under certain circumstances.  It is provided/released to law enforcement and prosecutors only by directive of a court order and/or subpoena. That is a blanket statement and not indicative of the entire process. Please see your lawyer and/or the parties that you filed the complaint with for more specific details as it would pertain to your complaint.

Enter the following command where username and password are your My Oracle Support login and password and filename is the patch file name that you copied from the Properties window::
    wget http-user=username http-password=password no-check-certificate output-document=filename "http://updates.oracle.com/Orion/Download/download_patch/<filename>"
For example, to download patch 7154429 for Linux where the patch file name is p7154429_10204_Linux-x86.zip, enter:
    wget http-user=[email protected] http-password=password no-check-certificate  output-document=p7154429_10204_Linux-x86.zip "http://updates.oracle.com/Orion/Download/download_patch/p7154429_10204_Linux-x86.zip"

  • Iphone email hacking

I am using an iPhone 5s, 16 GB, running IOS 8.2.    In the last 2 weeks (and since I upgraded to IOS 8.2) my gmail account has been hacked twice.  After the first time I logged on to gmail using my PC and deleted all of my on-line contacts.   After that I was hacked again with mail sent to contacts that were NOT available through gmail (only on my iPhone).  My friend purchased an iPhone 6, 32GB, IOS 8.2 last week and she had an email hack from her gmail account today.  Never was hacked before she had the iPhone.   Something strange is going on here and I can't help but suspect the iPhone.  The mail headers include the following information:   USER AGENT:  iPhone Mail (11D257); Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary=Apple-Mail-1946E62E-894C-640A-DA51-C53067D29742.   I'm feeling very uncomfortable about using mail on my iPhone at this point.

Also change your security questions too.  If he knows those he can still get your passwords after they are reset. Also if you have other email accounts associated with the accounts, ie a password reset email different from the account you are trying to reset, you need to change those too. He may have his email set up there to receive the password reset messages. One other thing you can do is dump all of them and start over with new email accounts.

You won't be able to change your rescue email address until you can answer your questions, you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple in your country to get the questions reset.

How do I find my password if I can't remember the answers to the security questions and the email address it is sending the password to no longer exists?

If you have a rescue email address set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address set up then go to Express Lane  and select 'iTunes' from the list of 'products' in the middle of the screen.
Then select 'iTunes Store', and on the next screen select 'Account Management'
Next choose 'iTunes Store Account Security' and fill in that you'd like your security questions/answers reset.
You should get an email reply within, I think, about 24 to 48 hours (and check your Spam folder as well as your Inbox)

I can not remember the answer to my security questions  and the email that is on the to send to is not mine

How to reset your Apple ID security questions.
Go to appleid.apple.com, click on the blue button that says 'Manage Your Apple ID'.
Log in with your Apple ID and password. (If you have forgotten your Apple ID password, go to iforgot.apple.com first to reset your password with a password recovery email)
Go to the Password & Security section on the left side, and click on the link underneath the security questions that says 'Forgot your answers? Send reset security info email to [email]'.  This will generate an automated e-mail that will allow you to reset your security questions.
If that doesn't work, or  there is no rescue email link available, then click on 'Temporary Support PIN' that is in the bottom left side, and generate a 4-digit PIN for the Apple Account Security Advisor you will be contacting later.
    Next, go to https://getsupport.apple.com
(If you see a message that says 'There are no products registered to this Apple ID, simply click on 'See all products and services')
Choose 'More Products & Services', then 'Apple ID'.
    A new page will open.
Choose 'Other Apple ID Topics', then 'Forgotten Apple ID Security Questions'.
    Click the blue 'Continue' button.
Select the contact option that suits your needs best.
