Question: Removing a TR/Agent

My Mackeeper antivirus software has identified a TR/Agent in my Users/MinMac/Library/Mail/.... I keep deleting it, but it comes back everytime I use Mail. I have deleted all emails from October 1, 2013 on. The first date has been October 14, 2013. I have talked with Mackeeper and have tried all they have suggested. Any suggestions? Thanks.

As mende1 says, you should get rid of MacKeeper. It's junk that will cause you problems sooner or later, and many of its functions are completely unnecessary. For an additional reference on this matter, see:

As for the malware that was detected, note that you should never allow any anti-virus software to delete e-mail messages from Mail. They'll mess it up, and as you've observed, it may very well just keep coming back. For proper removal, see How to remove infected files.

[SOLVED] ssh-agent support removed from kde-agent

Hi all,
Since its upgrade yesterday, kde-agent does not support ssh-agent anymore (see here). I consequently can't store unlocked SSH keys anymore, because ssh-add from a konsole can't connect to ssh-agent.
The update note above mentions that the SSH agent is not needed by KDE since years. What's the recommended way to start it now ?

I have been using ssh-agent with KDE on a daily basis for years and AFAIK, there is no better or more convenient way of keeping your private keys available. So in my opinion, the removal of ssh-agent, a tiny daemon that doesn't do any harm yet serves its purpose very well, was a bad idea.
I found a solution that does not run multiple ssh-agent daemons, even if KDE crashes. The solution is based on the fact that ssh-agent can be used as a wrapper around a session startup script or program. Unfortunately, my solution is very intrusive and will disappear on each KDE update. It works as follows:
# cd /usr/bin
# mv startkde startkde-inner
# cat > startkde <<- HERE
#!/bin/sh
exec /usr/bin/ssh-agent /usr/bin/startkde-inner
HERE
# chmod +x startkde
Now the ssh-agent will be started on each KDE session and there will always be only one ssh-agent per KDE session. Comments in the startkde script suggest starting ssh-agent later in the process and then killing it on logout. However, such a solution is inherently unreliable, because it will not kill your ssh-agent when the X-server or KDE crashes. The same problem applies to starting ssh-agent from profile scripts. The wrapper method resolves the issue in a quite reasonable way.

How to remove unwanted sapccm4x agents?

Hi Guys
We just recently moved two SAP instances from one server to another, and I'd like to remove the registered agents for the old servers
On RZ21 --> Technical Topology, for SAP system S01 as example, there are two entries:
OFFLINE for the older system (WS10) and unwanted agent
ONLINE which is the new registered agent on new server (WS03) properly working

Using the sapccm4x -u parameter on the new server WS03 only un-register the agent on that server, not the older one
I need to remove the agent from the old server (WS10) and since the S01 SAP instance was removed before unregistering the agent Im not able to remove the entry from there.
RFC connections were updated but that is not solving this.
Is there any workaround at DB level or some trick to remove those unwanted entries?

I have tried with parameter -u, but only can be executed from the former server (WS10) and not from the new (WS03).
Unregisterig the agent using the old profile WS10 is not resulting as expected, since it removes the agent associated to the new server.
Also, there is no Trash Icon/Delete Feature on RZ21, allowing to remove the unwanted entry

Removing ZFD Management Agent Version 4.0

I am unable to remove the management agent from any of my XP workstations. It will not allow me to upgrade the management agent without removing the prior one. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

How to remove(Delete) multiple agents from SCOM console

Hello Experts,
We are using scom 2012 and monitoring around 10000 agents in our environment. Now Windows team decomissioned around 1000 server/clients and we need to remove those agents(grayed agents) from console.
It is very difficult to find and delete the agent one by one. Is there any script to remove/delete the agent from console?

In addition,several ways to remove SCOM agent if SCOM console fails.
1. Add/Remove Programs (appwiz.cpl)
2. Run (MsiExec.exe /uninstall {E7600A9C-6782-4221-984E-AB89C780DC2D} /quiet)
3. psexec -d MsiExec.exe /uninstall {E7600A9C-6782-4221-984E-AB89C780DC2D} /quiet *

Question about Grid Control Agents on a Veritas Cluster (or any cluster)

Hi, I'm seeking advice on how to setup Grid Control agents on a Veritas Cluster.
My cluster is made up of two Sun M4000 servers running Solaris 10 x64 (node1 and node2), and 8 virtual hosts setup to fail between the nodes. Each of these virtual hosts has several mount points from a SAN, and contain Oracle 9 and 10 homes as well as databases. The versions are 9.2.0.8 and 10.2.0.3.
I have a full grid control agent install on each node to mount points that don't fail over to the other nodes. These agents monitor the nodes themselves.
Now for my question, is it better to do full intalls of the grid agent in each virtual host or to use the "emctl deploy agent" from the full installs already on node1 and node2 to the virtual hosts? Or is there some other, better way to do this.
Either method results in 9 grid control agents on a node if all the virtual hosts are on that box. I've experimented with both agent deploys and installs a bit and found that the cpu usage goes though the roof with that many agents on one server. Maybe I don't have them configured correctly, but every now and then they spike cpu usage to 100%, and these servers have 8, dual core processors in them with 32GB of RAM.

Question for register Oracle agent inside Zone

There is a question about register an Oracle agent inside zone:
Let�s say S1, S2 be the global zone for the hosts of a pair of Sun cluster, and zone1, zone2 as the non-global zone respectively.
Zone1 and zone2 with the zone path /dbzone, and the oracle binary is installed in zone1 and zone2�s local disk, with path /home/oracle/10.2 as the ORACLE_HOME.
Therefore, the corresponding path to the host S1 and S2 is /dbzone/root/home/oracle/10.2.
And when we register the Oracle HA resource, with input the oracle home as �/home/oracle/10.2�, it will prompt that the directory is not contain required Oracle file.
And if we change to �/dbzone/root/home/oracle/10.2�, it will prompt with error when create resource, with the message, S1:zone1, path �/dbzone/root/home/oracle/10.2� not exist.
We currently to solve the problem by moving the oracle binary to SAN disk, with mount point name �/u01/oradata/portal/oracle/10.2� on the both global and non-global zone.
I would like to ask that is there any missing syntax or any document about how to register ORACLE_HOME inside zone�s local disk?

You probably haven't got the init<SID>.ora file in both ORACLE_HOME/dbs directories or something like that. Have a look at /var/adm/messages on both these zones and the global zone and see if there are any more hints as to what is missing.

I can't remove ZfD man Agent 4.0

The only thing I get is a flash windows installer.
I tried first removing the regkey HKLM/Novell/Zenworks
reinstalling Windows Installer 3.1 v2 (latest fix)
tried reinstalling the agent with the setup.exe before removing
"setup.exe /s /f2"C:\ZfDAgentInstall.log""
The logfile tells me the following

What does this -3 means?
I can't find anything on the Novellsite about it (or they hide this info very well)

Beginners Question - Removing Complex Backgrounds

Hi all,
I am new to Photoshop and have just bought Elements 12, i apologise if this question is in the wrong place.
The company i work for often required images of our products to have the background removed and replaced with plain white, so the product is effectively floating in white.
I have followed various Youtube videos on how to remove backgrounds, but all of them seem to have chosen the most basic of images to edit.
The photos of our products (outdoor furniture) are in real environments such as highstreets and pavements etc. When i use the quick select tool or the lasso tool i just can't seem to get a nice straight edge around the actual product. The tools seem to be touch and go and one section seems to be okay where another seems to be out of place and 'zig-zaggy'. I often either cut into the product so it looks like someone has taken a bite out of it or i go too far out of the edge of the product, it just looks like a wave up the side of the product, i just can't seem to get a nice smooth finish all round the product. Sometimes if there are lamposts and other items in the way it wants to go around them rather than chop it off the image.
Absolutely anybody who can point me in the right direction would be very much appreciated.

No pen tool in Elements. It would help if you posted an image but some things to consider:
Sometimes it's easier to select the area you want to get rid of and then invert the selection.
No one selection tool is likely to be adequate for a complex image so expect to change tools regularly.
Use tools like magic wand, quick selection or lasso to select the bulk of the selection.
Use the selection brush to add/subtract edge areas. The [ and ] keys are your friend here as they rapidly decrease / increase the brush size.
Use the Select menu options for fine adjustments - refine edge, feather, grow / contract.
There is the hidden 'Quick Mask' mode accessible, when (a) you have a selection, and (b) create a layer mask (background must not be locked, by pressing the \ key. You can then paint in and out your selection.
While getting your selection made, save it regularly (Select> Save Selection) to avoid losing work if you inadvertently deselect!

Simple A2 Question: Removing pre-filled fields

Greetings -
I know there's likely a simple answer for this one, but I can't seem to find it.
When entering metadata in the import dialogue, some fields are filled in when I type a few characters. But there are cases where I'd like to remove an entry that I USED to use, leaving only one possible entry. For e.g., in Copyright I used to have "© 2009 R...", but now want only the "© 2010 R..." entry.
How do I delete the first, older entry?

This really had nothing to do with keywords, but in taking a look, I found a menu entry in the Metadata menu for "Edit Autofill List." I don't know why I didn't see that before.
The problem had to do with the fact that, with multiple entries, I had to type a number of different characters before finding the list entry that I wanted to use. Now that I've weeded out the unwanted entries for, say, Copyright, a single character will bring up the one entry that I want to use.

i dont ever use it, why would i want the core program running and taking up memory (however slight)?

Hi I have a similar pb:
I don't know how but yesterday, adjusting my system prefs I suddenly had the bubble icon up in top-right bar.
Whats that I think, I look and I realize i DONT want that thing (ichat stuff)
So now is my pb: I tried putting iChat in the trash but still the bubble is there,
then I check my processes and realize i have the ichatagent running,
so i do a glorious kill-9 %pid_ichatagent in my terminal window and the process dies successfully (not anymore in my processes list) but the bubble stays and is still active and actually it resumes the process ichatagent everytime i click it
My question is :
#1-how do i get rid of the bubble/ichatagent ALTOGETHER, it starts up automatically on logging in and I have nothing in my auto start programs for my user.
I want my top-right bar as it was before!!!
#2-is there some config file to edit to remove? or some hidden utility tools to help me do that...
#3-The ichatagent is a child of systemUIserver, so i was wonderingif killing that would help but i realized it was the top-right bar, so maybe it is not such a good idea???

Workflow question: removing images from project

How can I tell Aperture to remove a file from its database without removing it from the hard drive? My workflow is:
1. Import images to a Transfer folder
2. Edit images
3. Move remaining images to a folder with the shoot name, under a Photos folder
In Aperture, I've got a Photos project, with Albums for each shoot name folder and I've got a Transfer project that the unediting shoot is in. After I edited my first shoot in 1.5, I used the Relocate Master command to move the files of the shoot to the new folder in the Finder. I then made a new Album under the Photos project and copied the photos from Transfer to the new Album. That all worked great. As a last step, I wanted to remove the photos from the Transfer project. However, I can't: I can only delete the original file, which will delete it from the hard drive. I can't figure out how to tell Aperture to simply stop managing a file. It's really basic issue but it's stopping me from using Aperture to manage my library (or at least do it efficiently).

Wow, I was really tired when I posted that. No, you were correct the first time: I was looking to delete images and for that your suggestion worked perfectly.
What I was doing when I asked the second question was re-arranging my library in Aperture. I decided to remove everything and to use a structure that has a Folder labelled "Photos" at the top level, then multiple Projects below that, each named with a year. In each Project, there are albums for that year's shoots.
Before I removed the old structure, I exported out as a Project the last shoot I edited. Pre-1.5, I never bothered keeping editing images in Aperture - I just used it as a tool for editing the shoot. However, now that Aperture can reference external files (i.e., I'm not worried about its database), I can keep the editing images and their modifications in Aperture (modifications like keywords and image adjustments). So, after creating my new structure, I wanted to import all the editing images of my last shoot; sort of kicking off my greater use of Aperture. However, after importing the Project, I couldn't figure out how to move the images into the new shoot Album, in my "2006" Project. Hence my "can't move images"-post to you.
Your tip about dragging into the Project, not the Album, worked great, moving the images into their new place. Last night (morning, actually), my clumsy workaround was to drag the edited images into the new shoot album, then import the originals again, then use the stamp tool to copy the changes from the exisiting images to the new ones. I then deleted the images I'd imported via the existing Project. Much more of a pain than knowning what you told me!

I want to remove " " because creating csv creates this automatically because it has a value that includes comma. I am also using comma separator for my program so if I would remove the " " before splitting the values there will also be an effect on my program... can anyone can help me with this?

I have resolved with my problem regarding " " but I found out that splitting the file with comma splits the "10,20" which is a single value for a field.
it was also split into two values: (before removing the " ")

1. Format the XLS file properly before converting it to CSV. here If you convert the quantity, currency columns to the text columns then you will not get " into CSV file.
What do you mean convert the quantity, currency columns to the text columns? Does this mean by changing the cell format into currency? when I made this the format change other values ie: 150000000772 turned to 150,000,000,772. Which I think will also split to values:
150
000
000
772
But converting from xls to csv really removed the " ".
So I resolved removing the " " with your answers before.. my problem now is that in a single field value 10,20. they are also separated. I need them to be in a singe value. thanks!

I have already the user id to the business partner in bp's profile'BUP003 employee' , and also I can see the user located below the position in the OM .
   whether I miss certain operation ? how can I get the correct superior ?

Well,The output of SWX_GET_MANAGER can only be User or Position.
As per the assignment where the Business Partner is assigned to the Position, this FM gets the BP as an agent and in the final stage of this FM, this BP Agent entry gets deleted due to the following statement.
DELETE actor_tab WHERE otype <> 'P' AND
                         otype <> 'US'.
So, by this we can infer that you cannot determine the Person attached to that BP(that was attached to the Position) using 168 rule. You may have to create a custom Rule in these regards if you insist to go with Position-BP-Employee strategy.

IWeb Newbie Question: Removing "Drag Image Here" Placeholder

Hi,
I'm new to iWeb and creating my website for the first time. I've added an audio file to one of my pages, but I'm not sure how to remove the "Drag Image Here" placeholder from that file in the work area. I realize the placeholder doesn't show up on the actual website if I don't put any image in there, but the placeholder still clutters up the workspace where I'm designing the page.
Is there any way to remove that placeholder?

just try this simple method. it will not get rid of the placeholder - but it will hide it a make your iWeb building easier:
1. from the "forms" button choose a square
2. make it the background color or the color where the audio is placed, using the inspector!
3. Using the right-click or Ctrl-Left Mouse Click send the audio file to the very back.
4. make sure that the navigation bar is still at the very front and nothing covers it - because otherwise you cannot use it!
