Question using Sports Theme

Hi---I am using placing video in one of the sports theme frames using "picture in picture". (I've chose a simple frame with titles at the bottom that I'm using to identify the location and date of the event, framing a wide shot video clip of the field)
My problem is, when I try to transition from that to simply another plain video clip, I get a 1-2 second blue video flash of the sports frame, rather than a smooth transition (as in cross dissolve) to the next video frame. I've tried shortening and lengthening both the video clip and the sports theme frame.
I'm wondering if the "picture in picture" is the right thing to do in the first place? Maybe it's not meant to do it the way I want? Hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestion.

Is there a way to restrict the number of attempts for a remediated question using advanced actions?

I have the following slides in my project:
content slide 1
content slide 2
question slide 1
question slide 2
Question slide 1 is a question about content slide 1. Question slide 2 is a question about content slide 2. I would like to restrict the total number of attempts to two for each question. If question 1 is answered incorrectly on the first attempt, the learner would be returned to content slide 1 for review. Clicking the next button will take the learner back to the missed quiz question and allow them a second attempt to answer it correctly. If they answer it incorrectly again, it is scored as incorrect and the learner is taken to question slide 2.
Can this be done or does remediation keep repeating until the learner answers the question correctly?
If that is the case, can I achieve my objective by using advanced actions? And, if so, can you provide step by step instructions on how to do this?

I think it could be possible, but giving you step-by-step instructions, sorry, that would take a lot of time. Did you use advanced actions already? My archived blog has a lot of use cases and tutorials, but I think it is not fair to ask on a forum for step-by-step instructions for each use case you want to create. The most important thing will be to make sure that the user always remains in the Quiz scope, you can use the new system variable cpInQuizScope while testing. There is no system variable for attempts on question level, only one on Quiz level, so you'll have to create a user variable to track the attempts on question level. A big problem is that when you leave a question slide, without using the remediation work flow, the attempts are considered as finished. Personally I would prefer for that reason to not use the default question slides. You could try out a combination of remediation and advanced actions, never did test that?

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, or by a peripheral device.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Pictures in sports theme

Using imove11 I imported pictures in to the sports theme titles along with the player stats. When I exported the project the pictures disappeared! The graphic just had the generic shadow pictures as if I still needed to import a picture. Please help! I need to get the project done!

The only thing that comes to mind is that you need to click on Done whenever you insert pictures or other information. This not only applies to the Sports Theme, but many other parts in iMovie '11. Whenever you see "Done" click on it, otherwise edits may not stick.
Unfortunately however, when editing some titles and clicking Done, the edit is not always saved - perhaps you've struck this problem. There have been numerous reports about changes to titles not being saved by iMovie (I've also experienced this on a few occasions). I'm not aware of any fixes.

to purchas apps, and music. if you have not done it in a long time you have to hav the anwsers to your security questions. i do not know the anwsers to mine, and there is no way to change them without knowing them. if there is a way to change the security questions without knowing them i would really like to know how.

Quick question using BatchAction

I'm an FDM newbie, so some of the question I'm asking may seem to be trivial...
Is it possible to trigger an event from BatchAction? I wrote some code in BatchAction and want to trigger specific events (basically I want to mimic the steps I take manually from the web the import, validate, export and check steps)

The type of questions I'm asking is not documented in any guides, as it should not be. The api guide states what can be done, not how it can be done. Understanding the 'how' comes with FDM experience, which I do not have, hence my postings.
Sorry, I got sidetrack, so back to my posting:
Currently, a user logs on to FDM via web, clicks on Import from Workflow, selects a file, and once processed, saves that file in Excel. Note that there are custom scripts (expression?) in metadata's Import Format screen which do various things such as format fields, etc. there are a lot them.
I would like to automate this since now, this task will become a daily occurance. I would also like to maintain the existing scripts/expressions used during the workflow->import process, and make use of them instead of recreating the logic when generating a new file. I know I can use the fLoadAndProcessFile from the api call, but how do i incorporate this into the batch script I've written, etc...
All this with using the Batch Loader and not a custom script. Custom script will come later...
I get the big picture, it's the little pictures I'm trying to piece together...

Alternatives for Help Resetting Security Questions and/or Rescue Mail

     3. This is the only option if you do not already have a valid Rescue Email.

We are fellow users on these forums, you're not talking to Apple or iTunes Support.
If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then steps 1 to 5 on the page that you posted from should let you reset them : go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account, then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you won't get the reset option - you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down the page that you posted from to add a rescue email address for potential future use.

Using gtk-theme-switch

I hate to trouble the the forum with this question, particularly so since I directed it to the package's developer about a week ago and have not received the courtesy of an answer.
Am I correct to assume that in using gtk-theme-switch to set fonts that, once set, the same font is then used for all applications employing gtk-2? Looking at the program's little interface, I can't see how one might use it on, say, one program, then another one and so on. Precisely how is this thing used anyway?

I do not use a desktop environment, rather I use a WM and launch all applications from the WM's menu. If I understand you, when you say "It sets the 'base font' other GTK+2 apps use", you're saying that if I use gtk-theme-switch to set lucida 12, for example, the tool bar and menu fonts in all gtk+2 applications would be set to lucida 12 thereafter. Am I right about that?

Another user had success doing the following:
I got some help from an apple assistant on the phone. It is kind of round about way to get in.
Here is what he said to do and it is working for me...
a. on the device that is asking you for the security questions go to "settings", > "store" >
      tap the Apple ID and choose view"Apple ID" and sign in.
b. Tap on payment information and add a credit/debit card of your preference then select
      "done", in the upper right corner
c. sign out and back into iTunes on the device by going to "settings"> "store" > tap the
      Apple ID and choose "sign-out" > Tap "sign -in" > "use existing Apple ID" and you
      should be asked to verify your security code for the credit /debit card and NOT the
      security questions.
d. At this time you can remove the card by going back in to edit the payment info and
      selecting "none" as the card type then saving the changes by selecting "done". You
      should now be able to use your iTunes store credit without answering the security
      questions.
It's working for me ...I just have to put in my 3 digit security pin from the credit card I am using.
