Question_Workflow for CC Mgr?

Hi guys,
I have a doubt in the following scenario;
supervisor
limit (EUR)
Requestor
REQ
MAN_CC
300
CC manager
MAN_CC
90,000
Here, the supervisor of the requestor (REQ) & the CC Manager is the same person i.e. MAN_CC
REQ creates a SC with value 5,000 EUR....Approval WF shown as below;
Buyer approval - BUY
Sourcing approver - SOURC
FICO Header - MAN_CC
The approver step of Item value & Header value are clubbed together at Header value as the approver is same for both the levels. This is correct.
Now,
SC value changed to 5,00,000 EUR
But, now when the value of the SC exceeds 90,000 (limit of MAN_CC), still the approval flow has MAN_CC at the FICO header level.
Buyer approval - BUY
sourcing approver - SOURC
Sourcing Head - SOURC_HD
FICO Header - MAN_CC
Also the SC gets ordered successfully.
Is this a standard behavior or am I correct in thinking that after ordering the SC (value exceeded 90,000), it should have given a FIKO competency Error as there is no approver maintained with such a limit.
If this is a standard behavior, can you please explain the logic behind this.
Please revert.
Thanks in advance
- Ganesh

@Melina: thanks for the reply
so I'm correct in understanding that the workflow should give an error and SC can't be ordered if the value exceeds 90,000
but in my case the approval flow didn't give any error and SC was ordered
what could be the reason?
is there any loop hole in the workflow....if yes what can possibly be wrong with the workflow
f.y.i - I'm testing this scenario in Quality.

  • Obtain Instance Id # for SWI5 Mgr work items

    Hi
    I need to be able to determine what the instance id #'s are for work items that managers have showing in SWI5 transaction. I am looking to get a report that has both the work item # and the associated instance number it relates to. I know that I can manually get the instance # of the workflow by clicking on the work item in SWI5 and drilling down to see the information, but is there any way I can get a report that shows me the details ?
    Any help would be most appreciated.
    Many thanks
    Nicola.

    Hi Nicola ,
    If you have the workflow id you can view the entire details in SWWWIHEAD table.
    To check the status of the workflow you can view the details in SWW_OUTBOX table.
    I think this tables will help you to find the status of the workflow.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • UCS MP for Microsoft Ops Mgr R2 not fully working - can anyone help?

    Hi, I'm responsible for Ops Mgr in our Organization and we have recently deployed a large UCS installation.  I have just installed the management pack as per the Quickstart guide, but unfortunately I have had some problems getting it to discover/monitor properly (even before I get a chance to do any tuning of alerts).
    Intially after install, in diag view the following 5 nodes appeared but NONE where being actively monitored (empty circle beside icon) for HW Inventory,Hypervisors,Operating Systems,Service Profiles,Virtual Machines.  (Note i had installed the VMM MP as prereq for monitoring virtual machines).  After a bit of play with the RunAs account/Profiles and trying to add in virtually all relevant UCS classes, I have now go 2 out of the 5 nodes being monitored, ie HW Inventory and Service Profiles (I had used overrides to reduce discovery to 5mins (as per quickstart guide) to quickly get the objects discovered.  This is all I am getting, I cant get the other 3 nodes discovered/monitored at all!!
    I was wondering if anyone else has successfully installed this MP and got it fully working - if so I'd love to hear from you and see if I can get mine working as it would be great to add value to our monitoring solution.  Any help much appreciated!!...
    Cheers

    Please provide a copy of your System Information file. Type System Information in the Search Box above the start Button and press the ENTER key
    (alternative is Select Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Information). Select File, Export and give the file a name noting where it is located. The system creates a new System Information file each time system information is accessed.
    You need to allow a minute or two for the file to be fully populated before exporting a copy. Please upload to your Sky Drive, share with everyone and post a link here. Please say if the report has been obtained in safe mode.
    Please upload and share with everyone copies of your System and Application logs from your Event Viewer to your Sky Drive and post a link here.

    Some Event Viewer reports are generated solely because the computer is in safe mode or safe mode with networking. You have at least one example of this in your long list. If you do not see the same report for a time when

    Ok, I haven't run your example, but here are some suggestions.

    ggsci> add rmttrail ./dirdat/pp, extract FFE711, megabytes 20
    ggsci> start extract  FFE711
    You of course need data captured from somewhere to test with. You could capture changes directly from a database and write those to a trail, and use that as a source for the flat-file writer; or, if you have existing trail data, you can just use that (I often test with old trails, with known data).
    In your example, you are using a data pump that is doing nothing more than pumping trails to a remote host. That's fine, if that's what you want to do. (It's actually quite common in real implementations.) But if you want to actually capture changes from the database, then change "add extract ... extTrailSource" to be "add extract ... tranlog". I'll assume you want to use the simple data pump to send trail data to the remote host. And I will assume that some other database capture process is creating the trail dirdat/oo
    Also... with your pump "FFE711", you can create either a local or remote trial, that's fine. But don't use a rmtfile (or extfile). You should create a trail, either a "rmttrail" or "exttrail". The flat-file adapter will read that (binary) trail, and generate text files. Trails automatically roll-over, the "extfile/rmtfile" do not (but they do have the same internal GG binary log format). (You can use a 'maxfiles' to force them to rollover, but that's beside the point.)
    Also, <ul>
    <li> don't forget your "table" statements... or else no data will be processed!! You can wildcard tables, but not schemata.
    <li> there is no reason that anything would be discarded in a pump.
    <li> although a matter of choice, I don't see why people use absolute paths for reports and discard files. Full paths to data and def files make sense if they are on the SAN/NAS, but then I'd use symlinks from dirdat to the storage directory (on Unix/Linux)
    <li> both windows and unix can use forward "/" slashes. Makes examples platform-independent (another reason for relative paths)
    <li> your trails really should be much larger than 5MB for better performance (e.g,. 100MB)
    <li> you probably should use a source-defs file, intead of a dblogin for metadata. Trail data is by its very nature historical, and using "userid...password" in the prm file inherently gets metadata from "right now". The file-writer doesn't handle DDL changes automatically.
    </ul>
    So you should have something more like:
    Vikas Panwar wrote:
    extract ffe711
    sourcedefs dirdef/vikstkFF.def
    rmthost 10.180.182.77, mgrport 7816
    rmttrail dirdat/ff, purge, megabytes 100
    table myschema.*;
    table myschema2.*;
    table ggs.*;For the file-writer pump:
    +5. on Flat file GGSCI prompt+
    extract ffr711
    CUSEREXIT flatfilewriter.dll CUSEREXIT passthru includeupdatebefores, params dirprm\ffwriter.properties
    SOURCEDEFS dirdef/vikstkFF.def
    table myschema.*;
    table ggs.*;
    ggsci> add extract ffr711, exttrailsource ./dirdat/pp
    ggsci> start extract ffr711
    Again, use relative paths when possible (the flatfilewriter.dll is expected to be found in the GG install directory). Put the ffwriter.properties file into dirprm, just as a best-practice. In this file, ffwriter.properties, is where you define your output directory and output files. Again, make sure you have a "table" statement in there for each schema in your trails.
    Problem I am facing_
    I am not sure where to find the generated flat file,
    even the reports are showing there is no data at manager process
    I am expecting replicat instead of extract at Flatfile FFR711.prm
    I have done this much what to do give me some pointers.....The generated files are defined in the ffwriter.properties file. Search for "rootdir" property, e.g.,
    goldengate.flatfilewriter.writers=csvwriter
    csvwriter.files.formatstring=output_%d_%010n
    csvwriter.files.data.rootdir=dirout
    csvwriter.files.control.ext=_data.control
    csvwriter.files.control.rootdir=dirout
    ...The main problem you have is: (1) use rmttrail, not rmtfile, and (2) don't forget the "table" statement, even in a pump.
    Also, for the flat-file adapter, it does run in just a "extract" data pump; no "replicat" is ever used. The replicats inherently are tied to a target database; the file-writer doesn't have any database functionality.
    Hope it helps,

  • FQDN or NetBIOS for SQL Reporting Services Point installation in a cluster

    Hi Folks
    We have a SQL cluster for config mgr database & SQL reporting services installed on nodes because it is not cluster aware. During SCCM 2012 installation, we mentioned the details of SQL cluster only & it got installed successfully. When we checked
    in console, it is showing 3 site servers  related to SQL. SQL cluster is having site system role only & site database role moved under 2 nodes. Only NetBIOS names of the SQL nodes are being displayed in console.
    Now when I installed reporting service point role by selecting one of the node, wizard picks the FQDN of this node automatically & role installed successfully.
    Now in the console, I have another site server listed publishing the FQDN of the same node which I selected during installation which means one SQL node (site database role present at this) is displaying with NetBIOS name & the same SQL node
    (reporting services point role at this) is displaying with FQDN.
    My concerns is that -
    Is there any issue if same SQL node displaying 2 times in SCCM console i.e. with NetBIOS name & with FQDN name?
    Why reporting services point role not placed under the node which is already there with NetBIOS name?
    I hope I explained my issue properly however If you guys need any more information regarding this, then let me know.
    Cheers | Navdeep Sidhu

    This is the default behavior when installing site DB on cluster - all nodes will be visible as NetBIOS.
    I face a problem in two separate environments with SQL cluster when configuring Auto client push for servers, you will get the following error message in CCM.log in site server:
    SQL Server Native Client 11.0][SQL Server]Invalid length parameter passed to the LEFT or SUBSTRING function. : sp_CP_CheckNewAssignedMachine
    AND
    Failed to execute SQL cmd exec [sp_CP_CheckNewAssignedMachine]
    I believe this is a bug in the product.
    There is a workaround FIX editing the SP in SQL DB but it is UNSUPPORTED.

  • Can we create a (RAC) db service to assign a conc mgr to an instance

    Hi Everyone,
    Can we create a rac db service to for EBusiness? For example, can we create a service for AP module to run on instance1 of a two nodes RAC, and a service for PO to run on instance2.
    I know i can assign a node to a conc mgr and use the specialization rule to include/exclude a user to send request to that conc mgr. But this seperation is done at the ebusiness, not at database service.
    My understanding was that we can not create a service at the db because all the requests comes from one conc mgr. But having the ability to create more than one conc mgr, so maybe the question now is can i create a service for a conc mgr. lets say, I create a db service for standardard mgr on instance1 and create a db service for custom_mgr on node2. Is this possible?
    I am not on the distribution list, please email me at [email protected]

  • Travel Management Employee Grouping for Domestic Travel per diems

    Dear All,
    I have a scenario in Travel management
    Scenario
    Client has Domestic Travel, only in India under India they have Class A cities, Class B Cities and Class C, For Class A different Per diems rate with respect to the Employees Grade  Eg i have created the EG for Travel Expense type like 1 Manager 2 for Senior MGR and so on  For Manager for Class A cities will have different Per diems  Class B Cities will have Diff Per diems and so on
    I have Created Z1 as the Trip Country
    under Z1 ClassA
              Z1 Class B
              Z1 Class C like this and under Define Accomodation per diems for my trip provison variant under that for my trip country z1 and trip region Class A for employee grade wise  i have given the Max amount and finally this trip country Z1 i have assigned it to the Domestic Schema but i cannot assign the Trip region there since i have Class Aand  B and C   My question is will it work for all my Class A and  B and C cites too  when i am doing PR05 system shlould restrict if any employee is claiming more than his eligliblity  Please let me Know wheather my setting is enough for this or not  if not let me know the best solution
    Regards,
    Raghu Kumar R

    Hi Raghu Kumar,
    First of all, if you have set warning message then system will not stop you and will give only warning message...
    if you want to stop up to the max limit then you have to set the option Error message for exceeding maximum rate instead of warning message.
    Secondly if even system is not  giving you any warning message then check you influence control parameters (V_T702N_I)... (check it in detail)
    Then again check your V_T706B2...
    Also check the entries in travel expense sheet pr05, trip country and region shall also be entered in travel expense sheet...
    Please let me if you still have problem...
    Regards,
    Muhammad Umer

  • How to edit a CS5 photoshop ext in configurator for CS6

    I am very new to ext manager and to configurator.
    I have a "homemade" ext panel, done for CS5. It is shown in both EXT MGR for CS5 and for EXT MGR for CS6. The panel is active in both CS5 and CS6.
    I would like to change it so that the panel picks up the user interface that I use with CS6. As of now the panel has a bright white background which I find distracting.
    I cannot find a way to edit any extension in CONFIGURATOR 3.1.1, Perhaps I am looking in the wrong place for the wrong thing.
    Any advice, particular about opening an existing panel created in configurator (by a friend) and changing it somewhat.
    many thanks,
    vince
    Message was edited by: vinsolo

    Configurator cannot edit the exported extension. If you have the source file of the panel created by Configurator 2, it is a file with extension "gpc", you can open this gpc file with Configurator 3 and upgradge the gpc file for CS6.

  • Downgrade probs with desktop mgr: app loader retrieves old version files thru internet

    really this is for desktop mgr 4.6 and 4.7 but i could not write to thread some time ago i purchased documents to go premium. unfortunately at first dataviz was insiting it would only be available OTA, after install, and later after os upgrade to patch .055 of RIM OS 4.5, at first it wanted to downgrade documents premium to go to the base edition that is included in the OS. then i was using desktop mgr 4.2 or 4.3 this cost me some 20 eur for reupgrade OTA, great, guys then i found the same solution which another thread quotes, i.e. to prevent downgrading by renaming the base alx/cod file for docs to go in the loader directory (common files, rim , shared or such, also there is a cache directory) this helped for a while then i met this text by dataviz, which was suggesting RIM had "fixed" the downgrading issue in desktop mgr 4.7 well cheers after installing it (and i have two pcs, on both of which i had to field the same obnoxious tragedy), the device was telling me it wanted to downgrade documents to go. dataviz smartly suggested i should rename the backupfile of docs to go, reboot the device and delete docs to go base edition and reboot again. now obviously, the base edition can t be deleted, since it is part of the OS base of RIM OS 4.5 (after uninstall) but even better: i was NOT able to reupgrade (i now had some desktop installer files for the premium edition) NOT AT ALL even reupgrading OTA would bring back the same stupid !requirement" from desktop mgr to downgrade docs to go dataviz was maintaining, their "fix" was crucial and works. but it does not. some 30 hours later, by accident i found the cause. my BB has OTA switched off. NOWHERE on the pc could i found traces of the old docs to go loader... really nowhere ? no, ALMOST NOWHERE. in temporary internet files there suddenly were some. and it had a url. so the app loader is trying to retrieve the old files from the BB OS vault. i unplugged the pc from the internet, and viola, the upgrade works again. and, sure enough, reconnecting it to the internet, the app loader immediately wants to downgrade the SW again. how abt fixing this. the user should be able to control, what version he wants to have, and also there should be control over whether i want the app loader to retrieve SW from the internet. (and of course dataviz should supply their SW for desktop installers, not just OTA, since the adventure cost me some 40 eur in total for useless OTA reupgrades, which i am not responsible for)

    not exactly true is maybe this problem.
    but in those 30 hours i was NOT able to erase the application AT ALL
    pull on battery or legs. it CANNOT be highlighted for deletion, even after clearing cache and uninstalling pdf to go and documents to go either thru options adv options applications or thru app mgr.
    but it absolutely can t be that RIM is leaving this matter as it is

    Hi,
    I installed GG with same configuration and i didn't configure ASM statically in listener.ora at all:
    LISTENER=(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS_LIST=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=IPC)(KEY=LISTENER)))) # line added by Agent
    LISTENER_SCAN1=(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS_LIST=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=IPC)(KEY=LISTENER_SCAN1)))) # line added by Agent
    ENABLE_GLOBAL_DYNAMIC_ENDPOINT_LISTENER_SCAN1=ON # line added by Agent
    ENABLE_GLOBAL_DYNAMIC_ENDPOINT_LISTENER=ON # line added by Agent
    When i check listener status, i can see that ASM Instance is correctly registered:

    You need to make sure, that ASM registers dynamically with your listener. In my case i have set local_listener in ASM instance as follows:
    SQL> show parameter local_listener
    NAME TYPE VALUE
    local_listener string (DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS_LIST=(AD
    DRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=xx.xxx.xxx.94)(PORT=1521))))
    This is no GG specific question. You need this for other tools like Gridcontrol as well.
    Hope this helps,
    Robert

  • PUMP process is Running. Not generating message in report.No replication

    Hi,
    I am using GoldenGate 11g with Oracle database 11g on IBM AIX server at source and Linux at destination.
    I have created the extract process and the pump process but the pump process is not responding.
    The report of my PUMP process is as below. I can't see any run time messages getting generated in it. Even the replication is not happening.
    Please suggest how to search for the issue here and get the replication working.
