I just wondered if anyone knew if JavaScript can be interpreted in the following formats, in an applet, or .jar file? Or just in html and .js files.

well, when Java 6 comes out with a Javascript engine build in and you find that you can do funky things like define a UI with buttons in Swing and then define the action listener code as Javascript (or whatever other script language script engines are built for it), you will say "man, I can do some funky things with this".

Few Questions 'bout Printing in Lab Color

I'm a little confused about how LAB color works. I have a document thats currently in CYMK color mode, and I'm having difficulty finding satisfactory colors. I was advised elsewhere to abandon CYMK. I therefore want to convert my image into to LAB color mode. I've read that converting from one color mode to another can cause layers to look funny, however I need to retain some of my layers... Do you guys typically have problems with this? In retrospect I should have STARTED in Lab... Seems that converting from CYMK to LAB wouldn't be as problematic as converting from LAB to CYMK...
The key question is this: will my printer (Epson R800) even be able to print in LAB mode? I thought yes, or at least closely... because it has much more than CYMK to work with... it has these cartridges:

Finally, in the print screen menu should I be
"letting photoshop manage colors" or letting "printer manage colors"? Do you guys have any other tips on how to tweak printer/photoshop settings/preferences to maximize the accuracy of my colors? Would I possibly be better off just using RGB?
I know my questions are conveyed in a slightly confusing manner, so thank you for your patience reading through them. I really appreciate any insight you guys can give me.

You can't actually print in Lab mode, although it can be great for certain corrective moves. You have to print in either RGB or CMYK. If you are using the Epson driver for your printer, the print is seen as if it were an RGB device, even though it uses CcMmY and black inks.
To get better color accuracy, you need both a hardware calibrated monitor - so you know that what you see is accurate - and good custom printer profiles, so that the colors are properly converted to the color space of the printer. There is a lot of information both in these Adobe forums and on the web in general about color management and the proper use of profiles, and how to go about it.

Automatic Payment Transaction (F110) - questions bout Paymnt Doc generated

Hi all,
I have a question regarding to payment documents generated by Automatic Payment Transaction (tcode F110).
After a payment run, some payments are created. But I found that same payment documents are generated over several payment runs for same vendors. And those payments pay for the same invoices.
For example
Run date   ____________     ID    ______     Vendor ______ Payment
Jan 01, 2009 ______ ID001 ______ V0001 ______   P1
Jan 15, 2009 ______ ID002 ______ V0001 ______   P1
Jan 15, 2009 ______ ID003 ______ V0001 ______   P1
Payment P1 pays for Invoices I1, I2, I3.
It looks like the data is repeated.
When I check tables, REGUH, there are 3 entries and 9 entries in REGUP (1 payment - 3 invoices => 9 records). It also is updated in BKPF and BSEG as well.
The question is: how can I identify which Payment Run (date, id) the payment document belongs to?
I don't understand because i think SAP automatically generates document number, and it cannot be the same for every run.
Please guys, help explain it for me.How does it work in this way?

In this process, you will complete a payment transaction automatically.
You should first enter some vendor invoices so that there are enough due payables available in the system. In order to reduce the work you need to do, we have created a CATT (Computer Aided Test Tool) that generates invoices automatically when activated.
Secondly, you will create a payment program and enter the parameters necessary for selecting the items to be paid.
Next, you will execute a payment proposal list and check its log. You will find that some items are blocked for payment. You will need to update the list in order to remove the block.
Later, you will start an actual run. Then you will set the print program so that the payment forms and accompanying payment advice notes and payment summaries are correctly assigned to the payment run. Finally, you will print the payment forms. If you are using North American data, you will then need to analyze the check register.

A few questions bout EBS and SAP

Can anyone please clarify what's the diff in SAP and EBS.
Can i get EBS for free (learning purposes)
In SAP ABAP is used for programming purposes. what is equivalent in EBS to that.?

Following are my understanding and only my personal view.
1. Can anyone please clarify what's the diff in SAP and EBS.
SAP and EBS are ERP solutions as you know, business wise its just a comfort factor which makes customer to choose either SAP or Oracle. To be straight SAP doesnt allow you to do customizations as it can be done in Oracle, this is what makes SAP tightly integrated less error prone. Both use their own way of programming which is the answer for your second question below. SAP has its own standards and Oracle too has its legacy. 2. In SAP ABAP is used for programming purposes. what is equivalent in EBS to that.?
ABAP is a programing language created by SAP and it is similar to any other programming language. Its quite similar to COBOL. This was first used as a reporting purpose by SAP and later used extensively for application programing.
For me equivalent for ABAP is PL/SQL in EBS or if i need to compare with reporting or form tool in EBS then it would be D2k.

Questions 'bout setting up auth. for 4 domains: 2 SecurID, 2 PDC

We have setup a portal with 4 domains. We are currently using one gateway. 2 domains are configured for securID authentication. We'd like to setup the other two domains for authentication using browser certificates. If possible followed by LDAP auth.
I have the following questions:
A. We will add a second gateway and configure this one for PDC authentication. Can the portal server handle this (2 domains SecurID, 2 domains PDC), or do we need to configure a second portal instance? Everything is running in secure mode and is communication over SSL. Any tips, pitfalls etc. we should know about (as previous attempts to set this up failed)?
B. Is it out-of-the-box possible to cascade PDC and LDAP authentication (just like for the other NON-PDC authentication modules) or do we have to build or own authentication module? Again, previous attempts to set this up failed :-)

A.) You can have multiple domains with multiple types of authentication, however if you enable pdc for a gateway you cannot use any other type of authentication mechanism then.
For sp3a pdc setup documentation outdated, see my earlier posting ( within the last 1 week) that contains detailed steps to do PDC.
B.) Yes you can do auth chaining, you enable auth chaining in the authentication and then in the module name you give Ldap.

Question bout the new Fios speed that might come.

So I have the 25/25 connection will I get upgraded to 50/25 for free or will there be a increase in monthly fee if you choose to?

I believe the question is understood, but no one has announced the upgrade terms, if the speeds will change to the new tiers, or what the costs will be. If someone is saying a specific date, then I suspect the terms of the change will be announced prior to that date. But who knows, it could be announced after that date. We are all waiting for that news. I am at 35/35, and it would be nice to wake up at some point and see 75/35, but as I stated, I have not seen any of those terms of service announced at this time. So everyone is guessing right now at what might happen. We just need to wait and see. I would like to know, just like everyone else.

Questions bout updates

Hi, I have a question, I am getting annoyed over my Laptops constant updating. Every second day its telling me to that there are updates and to log in to get them updated, and each update takes at least an hour in a half to two hours, because I Have to click up date at least six times before its fully updated. this is annoying and I really dont see why it needs to update that often. I have never seen a PC update that much or for that long ever. This has just started happening the past two weeks, before that it would update once a week and take up to two hours with six restarts and that was way too much and too long I thought. HELP whats going on with this, and how can I stop it. its ridiculous. Also....I do not like the they have removed the contact techinical online support chat option in the HP help.

Sounds like those updates failed elsewhere that why they come back again and again. Now please try:
(a) Hold down Win key then press Q,
(b) Type Windows Update in Search box then open Check for updates,
(c) Please update one at a time to see which one failed
It's a pain but Windows 8 and 8.1 do not give much information about Update history like Windows 7 or Windows 10. You can change do not use auto update and manually check say once a week or Choose other update options.

Question bout the new clipable shuffle

i was thinkn of getn one of these,but wanted to know bout the eq side of the shuffle.would i be able to somehow turn the bass up in the songs from itunes.for my current nano i had to get some of them earphones that plug sung into ur ear and the bass is good,but was wondering if i get a shuffle will the bass be as good.cheers

There's no eq settings on the iPod shuffle, like there is on the iPods that have a display.

Some question bout URLConnection anyone can help me

First Of all, i want to ask something bout URL connection
1. Is it possible to Modifying some files that i accessed via URLConnection without using CGI files ?
2. What is the limitation of URLConnection Class
As far as i know URLConnection Class only providing connection to resources, we can read it directly, but we cannot modify it directly.

Newbie question bout keyevent on textfield

Hi,
i'm having troubles with a keyevent.. can you guyz help me out?
this is the story: I have a textfield and when they press enter in the textfield the program needs to get some data... the data part is not an isue... is how to know you've got a enterkey as input.
I tried to put a keyEvent on the textfield but somewhere i read that yur supposed to put an actionevent on the button... what is true bout that?

Question bout chapter marker esthetics for dvd

Hi
I'm just about to make a .img to burn dvds from. Haven't made dvds in the past couple years. So maybe this is a dumb question, but since I don't want to create a dvd to find out, tell me: Does it look better to leave 'Chapter X' out of the marker name and just have a title? I forget if there's already a 'Chapter X' list in the menu waiting for names for the Chapters so it would be repititious to have it in the title. Tho maybe some designation before the name is better.

No problem, I made a little test dvd of a couple minutes and saw that there is no
"Chapter 1 ________
Chapter 2 ________
etc"
I was worried if I titled a marker 'Chapter 1 Whatever', it would appear as 'Chapter 1 Chapter 1 Whatever'. See what I mean?
So problem solved. I'm working on making an .img for a 2-hour flick so I can knock out a bunch of dvds easily.
it's been 5 hours and I'm at 58%. A tad slow. I thot it would go faster.

Question bout Macbook

Hey,
I am going to go to film school here soon, and need a mac computer. And I was wondering if any one has macbook AND Final Cut Studio. If so how does it work? cuz I've read some places the macbook isn't enough to run it, BUT I've also read other places that the macbook can actually work. Cuz I really dont want to spend 1800$ for a macbook pro, so justwondering, does the macbook work with it?

it says about the minimum specs needed to run final cut studio, after reeding it myself there are some that say it can, but others (like graphics) say no...
i would advise getting a Macbook pro as a minimum, definitely not a Macbook
