There are actually two Adobe routes you can take. One of them is to subscribe to the creative cloud and pay a monthly fee of $9.99. For that fee you get the latest Photoshop and the latest Lightroom and all upgrades that come along. It's true that if you decide that you don't want to continue your subscription you will lose functionality in the programs. The other method is to purchase Lightroom directly from Adobe. I am hardy the most qualified to answer this, but I'll have a go at it. First of all, I admire your ambition!
Dreamweaver is a great tool, but it will not necessarily teach you web design. Once you have some basic idea of what goes into a web design, you will realy appreciate what DreamWeaver can do for you. I am going to pass on to you the same advice given to me when I first wanted to get into DreamWeaver and web design.
I would realy suggest some basic HTML and CSS books and use a text editor to create your first pages. Once you start to undersatnd what you are doing, then by all means, get some DreamWeaver training. Everyone has their own favorite titles to learn the basics from, so I'll just say these are a suggestion and helped me get started. The Head First series was clearly written, has a good sense of humor and helped me get the basics. Check your Libraries, second hand book stores, or other resale outlets. I know you mentioned the Adobe Online, but I've also used, and like, the Adobe Classroom in a Book series. Once I learned a particular version, I found the Missing Manual series good for advanced questions and going to a new version.
Don't get discouraged, stay with it and don't be afarid to try another book if you don't like the ones I've suggested. We all learn different ways and what worked for me may not work for you!

Yes.
It will depend on the degree of lens edge intrusion into the frame,
but an enlargement of 5-10% or so is not a big problem.

Questions about Adobe Interactive Forms

Hi everybody,
I have some questions about Adobe Interactive Forms with CRM 2007.
I can create AIFs with the Template Designer via the WebUI. These templates appear e.g. for the account in the selection PopUp "Create from template". But these templates are not interactive at all, just the BP-information is displayed.
Is the template-function only a static way to create a static PDF from the BP-information? Or is there a way to have the BP-information loaded to the PDF but still interactive input to communicate via a webservice?

Questions about Adobe Muse CC single-app membership.

When speaking to adobe customer service reps about Adobe Muse I feel like their taking me around in circles. My annual membership to the current Adobe Muse is going to expire in June. So before I sign on for another year I had some basic questions that seem to be baffling the adobe reps. one rep called Travis just hung up on me.
My questions;

Can I host a site on Business Catalyst for free?
The rep said I have to purchase Business Catalyst separately from Adobe Muse

Questions about Adobe AIR and FLV license model

I'm currently looking for a game development framework which I can use for a fan-project in my spare time and also for commercial projects for the company I'm working for.
I think that the Citrus Engine which is open source and based on Apache Flex/Adobe AIR/Starling/Away3D/Box2d/Nate might be a good choice.
But I'm really confused about the license model of Adobe AIR and its runtime distribution.
Do I have to pay a license fee or royalties for my games (which include the AIR runtime in order to be stand-alone-apps) when I publish them?
If so, how much are these license fees/royalties?
Does this also concern free apps?
What is the name of the license which I would have to request from Adobe in order to publish my games?
Do I need several licenses when publishing an app on multiple AppStores (Apple/Google/Amzaon) or desktop distribution platforms (Steam/GOG)?
Are there further licensing obstacles which I have to keep in mind when using Flex/AIR for (commercial) game development?
By the way - the FAQ on the product page (http://www.adobe.com/products/air/faq.html) isn't really helping on this topic:
"How much does Adobe AIR cost?" -> "The Adobe AIR runtime and AIR SDK are free for most users."
This answer leaves me with the question: Am I belonging to the "most users" or not?
Therefore it isn't meaningful at all.
I'm also thinking about adding short video sequences as FLVs to the games.
If I understood correctly H.264 and MP3 are currently used as a standard for these video files but aren't free.
Is there a free alternative available for FLVs which can be used in combination with Adobe AIR?
Or did I get something wrong here and don't need to worry about getting sued when using these formats?

Questions about Adobe After Effects CS5 and CS5.5

I have the Adobe Design Creative Suite CS5 (Photoshop CS5, Illustrator CS5, Flash CS5, Dreamweaver CS5, InDesign CS5, and Fireworks CS5) and was going to order an old copy of After Effects CS5 for my iMac. However when I was about to order on an online store, I notice that there is a CS5 and a CS5.5 version for After Effects. I would like to know which version is better and if I get Adobe After Effects CS5.5 version will I be able to intergrate with CS5 versions of Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash?
Alos is there a way for to order a copy of Adobe After Effects CS5(or CS5.5 version) on the Adobe online store? I don't want to order the CS6 version of After Effects because I'm afraid I will not be able to intergrate it with my CS5 versions of Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash.

You should get After Effects CS6. There is no reason to be concerned about using After Effects Effects CS6 with Flash, Illustrator, and Photoshop CS5.

Comment and a question about Adobe CS5 suite.

Does anyone believe Adobe products are a bit too raw. When I was younger I used Adobe products and I know a good amount about PCs and their functions. I pictured Adobe Suite to be more inviting. I know it is possible to create dynamic presentations for business but at first sight I believe I'd rather pay someone , which to me is unfortunate. I pictured the software to allow dynamic video editing with ease. The tutorials lead back out into the Internet rather then a hands on approach. I possibly may be a bit overwhelmed. I typically see the usability of the program. If I can request some information, is there anyway I can enter a complete presentation or business plan or document in to anyone of the adobe programs and have it re-interface the document into something basic and dynamic I can start from? I know flash can do alot and I'm thinking scrolling interactive guides and personal videos and all I'm seeing is a flashing sign, My business or become a computer programmer.

This what I presumed after affiliating myself with the program. I still must suggest basic dynamic set ups from the creators as they even helped the most advanced adobe creator and even the platform creator themselves. I think we would all like to place our documents in adobe to Flash them up a bit.

Entire flash sites can be dynamic - it's what I do... I use
PHP / AMFPHP and
MySQL to build dynamic flash content.

Easy is a relative term... the best way right now is to use
SWFObject
(Google for swfobject seo) - essentially you build an html
site inside the
Flash's <div> so the spiders will see the alternate
content.

I have A question about Adobe creative Suite 3 Design Premium, and what it comes with..

My boyfriend works for a office furniture company building and tearing down office furniture. Today one of the people who worked at the company he was tearing down told him he could take any of the programs there as they had no use for them. So he took the Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium as well as mac OSX Leopard, thinking I would like to use them. But I have a PC.
My question is what comes with the Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium? Since I can not use it, I thought I could sell it, but do not want to do so if I do not have everything it comes with or needs. What I have is three disc's, in the case. There is the application, the content, and the video workshop. There is no booklet or anything with it. If anyone could answer my question, I would really appreciate it. I dont want to sell it to someone and get in any trouble for it not having what its supposed to.

Firstly, the CS3 Design Prem comes with Photoshop Extended CS3, Illustrator CS3, InDesign CS3, Dreamweaver CS3, Acrobat Pro 8 as well as Bridge and and Vesion Cue.
Secondly, has the packaging been opened? If so, it could still be installed on a PC or rather Macintosh somewhere. If so, this makes it a trickier proposition with regards to installing it yourself or selling it on.
Don't quote me on this, but if the software is fresh and unopened or has been deactivated, you could upgrade to Design Prem CS4 Mac and then crossgrade to Design Prem Windows. Don't know if it's possible to crossgrade and upgrade in one fell swoop from Mac to Win. I suspect not - but will be happy to be proven wrong.

And I noticed that ; Flash 10.1 support to the Android OS had come to HTC Google Nexus One , with "Froyo" update. I watched some videos at Youtube , about "Open Screen Project" (that Adobe leads) . And Adrian Ludwig(at Flash team) was using HTC HD2 and showing the Flash 10.1 at phone. I'm thinking that , if he used Flash at HTC HD2 , then there must be a release for phone too. Whoops, my bad. Didn't note that HD2 is WinMo.
As I understand it (and I am just a consumer, not official in any way) - the intention is to get 10.1 on every device possible, including the iPlatform if Apple ever decides to change their mind (HA!).
As for the status of WinMo currently, I am not sure about that. I know 10.1 is being tested on Blackberry, Palm, and Android for sure, but I don't know what Microsoft has been up to, considering they have their own competing tech at stake here too...
If I had to take a guess (and it would be a guess) I would say that the highest probability is 10.1 on WinMo7 devices, though I have no information to back that up, its just a guess.

A Quick Question about Adobe Premiere CC

I don't know if it's my computer configuration or what, but every time I import a video it creates a .cfa file which is always created when I load my video project each time, the thing is can I disable Adobe Premiere from creating those files, I have a small 60GB SSD hard drive so it's hard to keep everything when it encodes the audio.

Yeah about this problem I have.. I am a student at a 2 year tech school and am doing this for a project.
Basically what I'm doing is this..
downloaded a copy of Tools Prison Sex Video, and what we have to do is basically put our own sounds to the video instead of the ones already on there. i.e. its a music video, but we have to create/produce our own soundtrack and sound effects for this video..
The professor isn't too great with help and simply said to open the video in Adobe Premiere and then add our own sounds to it... well the project is due tomorrow and I have spent more then 2 weeks trying to even locate another copy of this video..
I have failed, not only myself but my team, NOT sure what I'm going to tell them tomorrow..
but I'm going to try this one more time...
The video is in .avi format, is there ANYTHING I can do to get it to open up in Adobe Premiere CS3?

I have created illustrations for a book and am using Adobe Photoshop Elements to "color in" my drawings. In addition to the patterns which came with my program, I have downloaded patterns from Adobe Exchange. How would you suggest I reference/give credit to Adobe in my publication since these patterns are under copyright protection?

Unless you sell it as your own creation (that is the pattern template/ swatches, not the result), the usage of provided content is covered in the EULA. No need to make any extra mention of specific stuff beyond perhaps a generic © Adobe for the relevant parts. For third-party content that may be different, but you should find the relevant info from the authors there...
