Questions about Barclaycard Pre-approval mailings.
This is a bit strange to me, so I wanted to ask the community if they have ever faced a similar situation. I opened a Barclaycard Rewards account in February. At the time it was 24.99% APR. I got a mailing in July for the same card, saying I was pre-approved. I decided to apply since it had a lower APR. I was approved, and then combined my old bacrclay accounts to the new one. This closed the old accounts. Yesterday, I get *another* preapproval letter in the mail for the same card. I'm obviously not going to apply again, but what gives? Are they going to be sending me pre-approvals for a new card every month now? lol?
So they can still decline you if they send you pre-approvals though, right? I mean, every time you apply, at minimum you add an inq to your report. At some point, there has to be a threshold that they don't like you to pass, are they just going to ignore that if you just happen to be there and then approve you anyway? Pre-approvals aren't guarantees in other words, is what I'm pretty much asking.

I preorded the droid from best buy the first day preorders were available. The person who handled my order didn't mention problems with my current contract status. My 2yr contract isn't up till 4/2010, and from reading here, it seems that best buy doesn't do the 1yr early upgrades.
So when I go down to best buy on friday to attempt to pick up my phone what are gonna be my options?
$599 retail price, or nothing? And so, will they refund my $50?
Would they do the 1yr and $369 price, if they consider I put in over one year on my current contract and consider it a $1yr? (I read someone say this would be an option)

According to the guy that posted that, he was orginally denied, like has been said here. but then the looked it up and told him they'd honor the 1yr early upgrade.
To me, it just doesn't make much sense to not honor what verizon does.. cause you'd be losing lots of business. Anyone who is up for NE2, and denied honoring it by BB will just go to the verizon store, or order it online via verizons website. Anyone 1 year into their 2 year contract who is denied the 1yr early upgrade that verizon offers, and who doesn't care much about waiting for their $100-$50 NE2 discount will again be forced to buy elsewhere cause BB turns them away.
I'm not trying to make threats that BB needs to change. Just trying to draw attention to something that makes no sense to lots of customers. And would like someone to actually look into this again, since it seems to vary from store to store, clerk to clerk. -
Yet ANOTHER question about the Pre-Order
When the IPAD came out, I selected the pre-order pick up at store option. With the IPAD, the policy was to get there before 3:00 or your reserved IPAD would be released to the anyone who wasn't pre-ordered. Does anyone know if this time is the same for the new IPhone?
the confirmation email for the iphone said you had until the store closed on the 24th to pick it up or your reservation would be canceled and you would need to setup a new reservation.

Question about pre-approval for new construction
I am interested in doing an FHA loan for a new construction home. The builder allows buyers to put down only $2000 upfront if you get pre-approved through their preferred lender. My question is do we have to have ALL the monies we need for down payment and closing costs in the bank before the lender will do a pre-approval? We still need to save a bit but I know we will have everything by the time the building is completed and it's time to close on the loan. Any folks out there with experience that can help me understand how it might work? I don't want to be premature on applying for the preapproval but I'd love to start the process soon if possible.
I am a sales counselor with a national home builder. We require preapproval with our lender in order to sign a purchase agreement. AT signing we require an earnest money deposit [not to be confused with downpayment for mortgage purposes] and it varies from $3,000 to $10,000. The EMD is kept in escrow and is returned to the buyer at the closing table. A downpayment is how much money the buyer is bringing to the closing table and that determines how much mortgage money your lender will deliver to the closing table. The EMD can be used for downpayment as it remains the buyer's money. At our discretion, we will allow a buyer to sign a purchase agreement and allow them to save for the downpayment over the 5 months of construction time. It is always preferable that the downpayment money is already sitting in an account up front ... but that is not always the case. It reallly depends on the builder whether or not the downpayment has to be already available at preapproval time.

I have a number of questions about the SRM PO in classic scenario.
1) If the Backend PO is changed in ECC i.e. if any quantity is added , can we have an approval workflow
for the same?
We currently have release strategies for other PO's in ECC. How do we accommodate the PO changes only?
Our requirement is not have an approval initially once the PO is created, but only for the changes
2) If the PO is sent as XML to the Vendor, is it possible to capture the PO response in ECC? What are the Pre-requisites
for this to happen. Should SAP XI be required for this?
3) In case the PO is cancelled/ reduced , does the Balance goes back to SRM sourcing cockpit?
We are using SRM 7.0

Sol: In ECC6.0 if the P.O is changed and release strategy is there in ECC6.0 then it follows the ECC6.0 Approval Route.

Once P.O is created in ECC 6.0 for the P.R in Sourcing Cockpit, cancelling/reduction will not have a updation in the sourcing cockpit in SRM.
Eg 100 nos P.R is in SRM sourcing cockpit for which you have createdaa P.O for 40 nos is ECC6.0
for the remaining 60 nos PR ,you can create a P.O in ECC6.0

Raising Score for Mortgage Pre Approval
Hi, not sure if I posted this under the right forum but here goes....I tried to apply for a pre approval for a mortgage. Looks like I have been monitoring on myfico the wrong version of my scores the lender would use, I was suprised at how many points lower they were. (since then Ive figured out how to see the additional versions on here to see which scores the mortgage lenders use.) Anyway back to my question...it looks like my median score is a 664 my husbands is possibly 654-665? Not sure, Loan officer will not disclose that to me. HOWEVER my question is how can I increase my credit score quickly? In about 30 days? Pay credit cards down to under the 50% line? if I do this next week they should all hit my report again by the end of the month. I just wanted to see if anyone else did this and if it worked? The loan officer said thats probably what was hurting our scores was the ratio of usage on a few of my cards....Thanks!

I'm a new bie of BIEE. In these days, have a look about BIEE architecture and the BIEE components. In the next project, there are some work about BIEE development based on EBS application. I have some questions about the integration :
1) generally, is the BIEE database and application server decentralized with EBS database and application? Both BIEE 10g and 11g version can be integrated with EBS R12?
2) In BIEE administrator tool, the first step is to create physical tables. if the source appliation is EBS, is it still needed to create the physical tables?
3) if the physical tables creation is needed, how to complete the data transfer from the EBS source tables to BIEE physical tables? which ETL tool is prefer for most developers? warehouse builder or Oracle Data Integration?
4) During data transfer phase, if there are many many large volume data needs to transfer, how to keep the completeness? for example, it needs to transfer 1 million rows from source database to BIEE physical tables, when 50%is completed, the users try to open the BIEE report, can they see the new 50% data on the reports? is there some transaction control in ETL phase?

Both 10g & 11g comes with different versions of BI apps which supports sources like Siebel CRM, EBS, Peoplesoft, JD Edwards etc..

This is OBIEE modeling to create RPD with all the layers. If you build it from scratch then you will require to create all the layers else if BI Apps is used then you will get pre-built RPD along with other pre-built components.

Questions about Contracts and New Phones
I've had some questions about how upgrading and adding new lines to a contract works and I haven't been able to find the answers through Google. First some background information: We started this most recent contract in September of 2011 and as such the current contract will end September of 2013. According to the phone information portal, all three of the devices on my account will be eligible for an upgrade this Saturday (May 4th, 2013). My daughters birthday just so happens to coincide with that date and as such we were planning on surprising her by taking her to buy a new phone and we are going to allow our son to upgrade his phone as he has been asking to for a while.
Is there any way of locking/limiting the amount of data allowed for each phone on a shared plan? I'm worried that my daughter will go way over our limit and not pay attention to the point where she will end up costing us a very large amount of money
Does adding a new line require the start of a new contract?
My son was interested in purchasing the "Samsung Galaxy S4" and has noticed that pre-orders for that phone are currently available. Is it possible to pre-order the phone on that date using the upgrade so that the price will be reduced?
If the answer to number 2 is a no, does adding the new line take away the upgrades from other phones or would he be able to go to the store past the release date and upgrade then?

2. Yes. Each line is a separate contract with its own expiration date.
3. The contract starts when you sign up for the contract. The amount will be pro-rated on the plan if it is not started until part-way through your billing cycle that is what you are asking. Doing the pre-order just guarantees you the phone in case they sell out.
4. No it will not take any upgrades away as each line has its own termination date. You can move upgrades around between lines though. -

download a document, If I upload a Html or MsWord file, It will store in a LongRaw column, when me download ; It's tell me can't
find a application to open this file; I will select a application
from list to open the download file;
As normal, It will open MsWord Automatic when download a "doc" file ; also It will open a new window of Browser to view a Html file;
I check the download process on client Browser; when download
file, The content-type always return "application/octet-stream";
Also the download File will lost the postfix of the file,
So Browser don't open the File Automatic;
I think If I set the correct Content-Type , Browser can know how open the file; So I use owa_content.set_content_type procedure
set the Doc file to "application/msword" , but the WEb Server always
return "application/octet-stream";

Question about using new battery in old Powerbook
I have a pre-intel Powerbook G4, and the battery is pretty much toast (lasts about 15 minutes now). I have ordered a new battery for it, and I have this question about using it:
Am I smarter to keep the new strong battery out of the PB most days (as I usually work with it plugged in at home) and just pop it in when I know I will be out surfing on batteries? Or is it just as good living in my laptop 24/7 and only occasionally being called upon to do its job?

thanks folks, ShereenHi, Shereen. Every Powerbook battery wants to be used — drained and then recharged — at least every couple of weeks. If you've always used your Powerbook on AC power nearly all the time, and not followed that pattern of discharging and recharging the battery every week or two, it's possible that your use habits have shortened the lifespan and prematurely diminished the capacity of your old battery. Of course it's also possible that your battery is merely old, as a battery's capacity also diminishes with age regardless of how it's used. You didn't say how old the battery is in years, so this may or may not be an issue. I mention it only because it can be an issue.
For general information on handling a battery for the longest possible lifespan, see this article. My advice on the basis of that article and long experience reading these forums is that it would be OK to do as you propose, but I doubt that you'd derive any significant benefit from it. You would still want to be sure of putting the new battery through a charge/discharge cycle every week or two, even if you didn't have a reason to use the Powerbook away from home or your desk, because sitting unused outside the computer is just as bad for a battery as sitting unused inside it. And you should never remove the battery from your computer when it's completely or almost completely discharged and let it sit that way any longer than a day or two.

Need to do the security for "release" pre-approved batches

We need to control the finance users just for entering pre-approved batches and submitting only (not allowed for release) and then the finance manager will "release" the same batches and do the distribute costs.
Can any expert help me, if any posibility to do this? (11.5.10.2 projects)

Exclude the below Function from the Users' Responsibilities and also remove the REVIEW Menu because User can Release the Batches from this Menu as well. If the Users need to search the Batch for review then they can search using ENTER Menu.

Question about setting track level
Hi I finally got my new macbook pro and moto 8 pre and have just today tried a bit of recording just to get used to it. I am at the moment using garage band. I have a question about track levels. In Garage Band when I select a track to record there is a slider for input level or an option of clicking the automatic level control. But for some reason they are both just that color of grey you get when something can not be selected on a computer. How do I activate this? It's strange as I did actually manage to record the track, I just can't seem to really adjust the level. I thought maybe it has to do with the motu and I can only select the track level there, and that garage band level setting are (rightfully) disabled? Maybe that's what I should be doing, but just a bit confused. Anyway, thanks in advance for whoever takes the time to help out a newbie.

Here are a few original sentences of my assignment which describe what I should do with the MultipleChoiceQuestion class
Using TrueFalseQuestion as a model, develop a new MultipleChoiceQuestion class that can be used to represent a problem where the user must select one of several answer choices (e.g., "Select answer (a), (b), (c), or (d)."). This new question type should have all of the same externally-visible functionality as TrueFalseQuestion, except that it must:
maintain a list of potential answer choices
provide a method that allows the client to construct the list of answer choices one at a time (i.e., the client should be able to call an addAnswerChoice() method to pass a new answer option to the MultipleChoiceQuestion.)
display (as part of the question text) the list of answer choices with appropriate letters ("abcd" instead of "0123") I don't understand what these sentences mean.
1. "Maintain a list of potential answer choices"-- this reminds me of the getPossibleAnswerChoice() method in the TrueFalseQuestion class

3. "display (as part of the question text) the list of answer choices with appropriate letters". My question here is that: When the client type in one possible answer, should I append it to the variable questionText? (So I use the questionText variable in the methods of the first and second steps)
