Questions about Digital ID to sign an interactive form

Hello,
I'm testing using digital ID created in Reader 9 or Pro 9 as a self-signed ID. When one person is testing, he gets the following message:
Can anyone tell me what this message means? Other testers were able to submit the form with a signature.
Thanks,
MDawn

Hi,
User has Reader and it is likely that the form is not Reader Enabled:

  • Questions about Digital Wireless Headphones CB2

    Hi everyone,
I have a question about the [url="http://nl.europe.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=437&subcategory=438&product=6 44" target=_self>Digital Wireless Headphones CB2530[/url] I've never seen it in a shop here in Holland, so I thought I'll pose my questions here.
I'm interested in buying one for my Creative Zen Xtra MP3 player.
    My questions are:
    - if it's possible to connect it to the player?
    - can I use it while traveling (can i hear something if I put the player in my bag)?
    - is it a good idea to buy this headphone? (i already have a great headphone by Philips, but am looking for wireless)
I also have a question concerning a remote control. Is there one for the Creative Zen Xtra?
    I hope so...
    Thanks in advance.
    Greetings,
    Eline

    Eline,
Yes, you can connect the wireless headphone to the player. Infact you can connect it to any stereo devices with the audio transmitter as long it's using a 3.5mm minijack. It shouldn't be a problem for the audio even if the player is inside the bag. It works about the same way as a mobilephone to a Bluetooth headset. Unfortunately, the Zen Xtra player does not support remote control feature.

  • Questions about digital signatures

We have about 100 people in our organization all using Acrobat X Pro. We currently sign PDFs (only used internally--we don't sign things to be sent out to customers, vendors, etc.) using the self-signed, self-generated PKS#12 option. This has worked well for us in the past, but we find ourselves having to backup each user's signature in case it gets lost, deleted, hard drive crashes, etc. Is there a more central way to sign documents so our users don't generate their own signatures, email them to other users, etc.? We'd like to use something that can incorporate the users' domain credentials so they don't have to remember a separate password. We're on a 2008 R2 domain. Thanks!

  • Question about digital signature

How I can create digital signature for document by some OAS tool in Java servlet? If yes, then how?
    Thanks
    Excuse me my English.
    Maxim

you add a signature field to your form --> then watch the properties
you can define collections of fields to tell the document which fields should be regarded/disabled by signing the document
ads can check signatures (digital signatures) serverside (methods for the pdf object)
with signature pads its special, you need hardware (pads) and software (plugins for the reader) and so on...
    for signatures in general:

  • Basic questions about digital representation

    if i have bitstream
where 0's and 1's are represented as below
and after representing them on a graph i want to apply a raised cosine filter and make them look ike this
soo is there anyway i can do that...please help

Eldokch, your screenshot is impossible to read!!
However it looks like your generation of a bitstream differs from mine in that you generate eight lines of digital output (at least thats what is showing on your graph) but I generate a single line. But that should be beside the point, since I have no idea what format your actual real world bitstream takes (and that is what you should be using - mine was just an example of one way it could be done using dummy data).
The point is I have shown you a principle that you should be able to understand, extrapolate, and make your own. Take each digital bit, make it into a stream of analog samples (in this case, 30 samples of 0.0 or 1.0), and then apply your filter to the analog waveform. If you don't understand how to do this then you need to start studying LabVIEW - I'm not going to debug it for you unless I get your salary too!!

  • Question about digitizing tablets

Just a general question. How many of you use a graphics tablet when
working with your photos? Is it worth getting one? Is it a "must
have" tool or does it simply do some tasks differently or easier?

I use one all of the time. They make things like masking, painting, cloning
and other such things much easier than a mouse. However, unless you are an
artist you don't need one of the expensive ones. I suggest looking at the
new Wacom Bamboo Fun line. Great feature set, nice looking tablets and good
    prices.

  • Question about bulk entering security password to 600 forms, then exporting datato spreadsheet

How do I extract data from password secured Fillable-Forms when all the forms (600+) have the same password?
    - single file at a time, I am able to enter password and extract data (but I have over 600 forms)
    - I have already compiled all files into a response-file, but was unable to exctract data from Portfoio (only "File_Name" is transfered to spreadsheet)
    Questions:
    1) is there a location in the Portfolio to enter the password (that I am not seeing) that will allow data to be extracted?
    2) is there a method to 'bulk' enter the password to individual forms that will allow data to be compiled directly into a spreasheet?

Thanks, now I understand why the wifi keeps dropping. On my personal wireless network, it also seems the distance from the access point is not good compared to my laptop. At work our network & exchange teams don't seem to have the desire to struggle with this "toy" until customers start forcing its adoption. I am using OWA and it works fine over EDGE. I will share your posting with them.
    Thank you again.

  • About dynamic offline interactive form

I have a request for working with pdfs in netweaver java, but the requisites are quite tight and I don't know if it will be possible to achieve with interactive forms.
    I need to:
1- Generate a pdf file (many in fact) using preloaded data from backend for offline use.
2- The pdf must be interactive so the user can introduce new data or modify the preloaded data.
3- The user should be able to change dynamically the format of the pdf: add rows to tables, make visible/invisible parts of the document, fire different events...
4- The user should be able to save his work in the file including the format (if he has added rows to a table or made invisible an object it should be saved).
5- The user should be able to send the data to the server through a send button.
In short, strange as it may sound, I need to simulate a web dynpro application using an offline pdf.
I've been searching and I think 1 and 2 are not a problem. I would just need to use a template created in LiveCycle Designer and link the data source to Web Dynpro context. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
I think 3 can be done using scripting and events set in LiveCycle Designer, though I have 0 experience with it.
I don't know if I can achieve 4. From what I've read dynamic content can't be saved. That is, if the user changes dynamically the pdf format and saves it will be lost when opened again. Is it true?
I don't know about 5 either. With online interactive form of course, but with offline? I've seen examples that use and upload control in a Web Dynpro application as an alternative but I'd like to avoid that if possible.
I'd like to get some indications about if these points can be done or not, if possible with some references that illustrate it (links to blogs, sap help...)
Some tips and references about how to implement the different parts of this scenario (specially from point 3 and beyond) would be really welcome.
    Thanks in advance.

Almost all things you mentioned are quite possible with Adobe Forms.
1- Generate a pdf file (many in fact) using preloaded data from backend for offline use.
You can do this by creating a Interactive Form using ABAP or create an online form using WD ABAP and just save the required form when done to be used for offline use
2- The pdf must be interactive so the user can introduce new data or modify the preloaded data.
You need to have Adobe forms License in case you want your forms to be interactive. In ABAP I think in the driver program you need to set FILLABLE = X or something like that and for WD there is enabled property which needs to be set true.
3- The user should be able to change dynamically the format of the pdf: add rows to tables, make visible/invisible parts of the document, fire different events...
The user can add rows to table and depending upon conditions you can set the required fields as visible/invisble
4- The user should be able to save his work in the file including the format (if he has added rows to a table or made invisible an object it should be saved).
If your form is fillable and interactive the data can be saved by end user.
5- The user should be able to send the data to the server through a send button.
There are different types of Submit options available. You can use Submit by email so that the user can submit the form via email.
Also I would strongly advise just try Search on forum and I am sure that you would get plenty of links/examples to work with.

  • Interactive Form - How to make fields read-only through the code?

Simple question but i can't seem to figure out how to do it. I have an interactive form that have editable fields. How do I toggle fields to make some of them read-only through the code. Please provide cold sample. thanks a lot.

    <b>Nagarajan Kumarappan:</b>
I know how to do that but that's setting the value at design time. Mine has to be done at runtime(when the page loads) because there are a lot of condidtions determining which fields should be and should not be readonly. therefore I have to do in the code. Any by saying code I mean Java not java script or formcal.
    <b>kushagra mittal:</b>
are you talking about regular webdynpro input fields? I am asking for that. I am talking about input fields inside my adobe interactive form embedded on the webdynpro page.
I think what needs to be done is to disable context attributes like Nagarajan Kumarappan suggested but do that through Java which I don't see any tutorials show that.
    still looking for help.

  • Create offline interactive forms using webdynpro java with XML data source

    Hi Gurus,
I am having a scenario like below:
Sales guy request for order list online from portal- Sytem receives the request and creat XML file- from xml file need to create a Offline interactive form-Sales guy fills it offline at customer site- uploads in portal -on submit xml has to be generated with captured data at customer site-Process to  ECC.
    So my questions are:
How to create the offline interactive form  from XML?
Once filled offline interactive form uploaded into portal how to create XML again from pdf ?
Please give some idea on this as this is my first Offline interactive form using XML datasource.

    Hi Otto,
Sorry for replying lately. First of all  I did not get your suggestions as your are editing the same posting.
Secondly we will be using WDJ. Actually in between SAP Portal and ECC we are having adobe LCES so we need to create Interactive form using XML only. Once it is filled again the form will be submitted to another application which is running on FLEX, which will process the order.
if you can give me your personal id i can send you the detailed process
    Thanks

  • Adobe Interactive Forms in SAP HCM

    Hi,
What do Adobe Interactive Forms in SAP HCM do?
What is the difference between Interactive/Non-Interactive Forms?
In which sub-modules of SAP HCM are such forms used?
What is that an HCM consultant has to expect from Basis and ABAP consultants for this?
Where can I get reference material on Adobe Interactive Forms in SAP HCM.

  • Smartforms or Adobe Interactive Forms?

    Hello Folks,
my client currently are beginning the decision making process to replace all of their current Jetform based SAP printing solution to a newer more stable solution - and they are interested in the possible options available.
Note that this is a major project as we have to migrate all documents (invoices, orders, POs, account statements etc) defined in multi languages and versions. Currently we are running SAP4.6C - but there is the possibility of an upgrade in the near future too.
To me the most stable alternative right now appears to be SAP smartforms - as this is a tried, proven and well integrated technology. Now I read here about the possibilities offered by Adobe interactive forms - and that from 6.40 onwards they will be integrated into the ABAP workbench. It is not clear to me though if Adobe interactive forms are intended to replace Smartforms or if they are merely an alternative approach - and what the pros and cons are of each technique.
Also it is not clear to me how well Adobe forms can be integrated with standard NAST table style output control - is it possible to integrate adobe forms to the standard output control?
What we are really concerned with is that we spend a lot of effort migrating to Smartforms only to find out that it is yesterdays technology and that we subsequently have to remigrate to Adobe interactive forms...
Can anyone there at SAP or on SDN provide any advice as to the pros and cons of the Smartform solution when compared with Adobe interactive forms, and any advice you can offer as to which solution to opt for in our migration project?

    Hi Julian,
it sounds to me that all your current forms are output forms (for printing, faxing, e-mailing, etc.) i.e. non-interactive.
Interactive Forms based on Adobe software is SAP's new solution for forms development. Its first release has the focus on interactive use of forms. High-volume printing is supported in principle, but - being a new solution - the performance has not yet reached the same level as Smart Forms or SAPscript, two established solutions that had years to grow. Interactive Forms is the only solution that will continue to be enhanced with new features, while SAPscript and Smart Forms will be supported without limitations.
When (or if) to move to Interactive Forms depends on your requirements. For interactive forms usage, i.e. the new functions, you have no choice, as the existing solutions don't support it. High-volume print scenarios need to be carefully analyzed to see whether your concrete requirements can be met at this point.
However, it is possible to move to Smart Forms and design your forms in such a way that a migration at any point in the future would be but a small step. Smart Forms offers from Web AS 6.40 a migration wizard to Interactive Forms. Technically, everything can be migrated, but we recommend against things like ABAP program nodes, for example.
You are not forced to ever go to Interactive Forms if you don't want to. It really depends on whether your client needs any of the new features in Interactive Forms. Also, if they are currently working with JetForms, they could enquire with Adobe directly what migration path they offer to the joint solution.
    Hope this helps.

  • Question from worse than Newbie about digital signatures and Adobe Reader.

1st, thanks for taking the time to even look. 2nd, We are trying to use digital signature pads with PDF documents created by Documaker 11.4. In Adobe Pro there is a setting "Extend features in Adobe Reader" that will allow users with Adobe Reader to sign the PDF documents, however our "guy" creating the forms cannot find anything like this in Documaker. I've never used Documaker before and dont have a copy to even play with, but I was hoping there was a simple "go here, click this" answer.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks for you time,
    Jeff Holt

I'm not expert on Documaker, but I'm close to them and will try to find an answer if I can be sure of the question.
Documaker is capable of creating PDF signature markers in the output PDF. Those markers are compatible with tools like Acrobat which can sign the documents. Is your question about how to create the markers or are you doing that and finding that Acrobat Reader will not allow you to sign them?
I'd have to research Adobe's licensing for Acrobat and Reader to see if that was the issue. I know certain features in Acrobat Reader are locked down by Adobe so you have to have another product license from them to enable the feature. If that is the problem, then I'm pretty sure that Documaker has no mechanism to provide a license token to specifically enable the Acrobat Reader product.
If you can provide more specifics, I'll try to follow up. You may also contact Customer Support, if you haven't already and open a case there requesting a specific question be answered.
    Best Regards.

  • Some questions concerning the digital signature on an interactive form

I've just finished an interactive Advertising Contract with 128-bit encryption that will enable recipients to submit CC info safely to our publishing firm. Even though form fields at the top allow typing the name of an authorized person, the signature line at the bottom is presenting problems because in order for anyone to sign, they need a digital signature.
    (1) Is this necessary? If so, is there any way of automating it for clients so they don't have to go through the process of creating one?
    (2) How do I create a digital signature for my partner and have the SUBMIT button on the form channel the returns to his email address instead of mine (which it is doing because of another interactive form I created in which I was the point person for returns)? I couldn't find anything in the "properties" of the OK button that allowed me to enter an email address.
Thank you so much for your help here. This is time-sensitive, as we need to get the package out ASAP.

    1. If you require a digital signature, then setting up a digital ID is necessary in order to sign a digital signature field. So the question is really more fundamental: Do you require that people sign the form with a digital signature? If you say yes, what are the reasons?
    2. If you are using the distribution process in Acrobat so thatt you can collect the form data in a responses file, you should distribute the form using the other person's machine that has Acrobat installed on it.
If you don't want to do this and only want to collect the returned documents without placing the data in a responses file, you can set up your own submit button using any email address you want and not use the distribution process. You will have to Reader-enable the document and then email or otherwise get it to the users. How you set up the submit button depends on how you want it to work exactly, and which version of Acrobat you're using. More information can be found here: http://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/form-submit-e-mail-demystified
If you still want to go through the distribution process and want to change the email address that it uses, you can change it in: Edit > References > Identity > Email Address
You'll then have to redistribute the form using a copy of the form as it existed prior to your first distribution. The responses file will be on your machine.
