Questions about Documents of Record feature

Hi,
I have 2 questions regarding DoR:
Is there any backup on application level to documents which were added and later deleted/overwritten? Is there something like versioning or date tracking?
Can I personalize the DoR search to include other attribute fields from person or assignment such as assignment location, supervisor etc...?

1. Are there any Companies with over 20,000 employees using Documents of Record functionality?
Business of Size of 8k to 10 K using this functionality atlest 15 Documents each employee, System does not have restriction to be used be for 20 K employee also.
2. What is the effect of this increased Database size on System Performance & Instance refresh/Clone timings?
As this going to stored in Table in Blob Column. This should not be issue of Instance Refresh/Clone.
3. Document of Records uses Workflow technology for Document Verification/Authorization, Can AME be used to implement Document Verification instead?
Workflow/AME can be configure for Approval/verification process
4. What is the future roadmap for Documents of Record in Fusion? Will there be an upgrade path available from R12 E-Biz to Fusion?
As my understanding E-Biz and Fusion are different Product suite. There is not upgrade structure exist from E-Biz to Fusion for any product and its components.

    Hello every body.
    I have some question about document/literal web service.
    I’ve been working with Axis before.
    Axis has four valid signatures for your message-style service methods:
    public Element [] method(Element [] bodies);
    public SOAPBodyElement [] method (SOAPBodyElement [] bodies);
    public Document method(Document body);
    public void method(SOAPEnvelope req, SOAPEnvelope resp);
    The same I am trying to do with WebLogic API for webservices.
    But when I am trying to test web service (public Document method (Document body); )
    I have serialized exceptions for org.w3c.dom.Document.
    Do I have to write a custom class for org.w3c.dom.Document serialization?
    If yes can you give me some idea or example?
    The all idea behind this web service is. I have just one web service and mane classes for XML processing. Depends what xml document will be during runtime, web service will be using different class for xml processing. It works fine with Axis, but in case of WebLogic I have some problem.
    One more question… How I have to call this web service from java client?
    I have seen this example http://www.manojc.com/?sample31 ,
    but this web service looks like (Document helloDom()). I need to send Document.
    This example works for Dynamic Proxy, but does not work for static call.

    I am getting a similar issue. I created a Document-style/literal webservice and deployed on Weblogic 9.2 . Then I generated client stubs using clientgen. I get the following exception stack trace:

  • A question about some of the features

    I have Vista so therefore am unable to use the trial version of photoshop elements. Before I go ahead and purchase the software, I had a few questions about its features.
    I'll mainly be using photoshop to create digital scrapbooks. I know that photoshop comes equipped with themes and images, but I would like to know if I can use my own backgrounds and images. If I am able to use my own backgrounds, can they tile?
    Another thing I would like to know is if I can create my own projects with custom dimensions.
    Lastly, I'll be using photoshop to sprite. Is elements well suited for spriting? More specifically, does it have a color selection/replacement tool?

    I use PSE for digital scrapbooking. Instead of using the "built in"
    creations and albums, just create your own PSD files with layers of
    whatever images/embellishments/background papers you want. You can
    specify whatever size of creation you want when you create your PSD file
    (you only have the choice of certain sizes when you use the built in
    stuff).
    Not sure about what you mean about making your backgrounds tile, but I
    think it is possible. You can take a "background" paper, do a selection,
    and then define a pattern and fill it. Or, if you mean layer your
    background papers - yes you can do that too. (Here is my online

    You can select by color (using the magic wand tool) and you can replace
    color, but it may not work exactly as you expect. (I also don't know
    what spriting is.) But, many people just use a hue/saturation adjustment
    layer to change colors.

  • Questions about VOIP and recording in Connect

    Hi,
    We have been using Connect for a long time, but have been doing the audio using AT&T teleconferencing. We were thinking about using VOIP for the webinars we do. I just have a few questions.
    1. Is there a limit of the number of connections to VOIP like there is with the teleconferencing? Is there a point where the number on there could decrease the quality of the VOIP?
    2. When we record the webinar, where can we save it to? Can we save it to our server?
    Any help with these questions would be great. Anything else that would be good to know for doing VOIP and recording?

    We don't natively integrate with AT&T by the way - so you have to use Universal Voice in this case and set it up yourself. Not hard to do.
    1. No limit on VOIP but we recommend using the optional SPEEX audio codec built into the Host Add-In if using VOIP a lot. It requires everyone to be using the Host Add-In though. Over 150 though and it might get unruly!
    2. Recordings are saved to the Adobe Connect Central portal that every customer has for their rooms. You can create a local copy from there and then copy the local copy to another server. It's a Flash file so you may need to convert it if you don't have a player.

  • Question about interface for recording electric guitar and vocals

    Ok, I've been messing around with Garageband all day, totally stoked and I'm ready to get into it. Right now I'm using a First Act quarter inch plug to USB cord to hook up my guitar and start recording and after some messing around I got it to work.
    Here's my question... to really make quality recordings, what's the best way to hook up the guitar? Is the way I'm doing it now fine with the USB cord or is some sort of interface better? Can someone recommend one that's on the cheap side? Also, I haven't tried yet, but what's the best way to record vocals? Should I invest in a USB mic? Can anyone recommend one? I have a Shure SM58 already, what's the best way to hook that up?
    Really excited about this, can't wait to start cranking out some songs!
    PS: When I use the USB cord, I don't see any way to control the recording level, and sometimes I get a Feedback control warning. How can I lower the level so I don't get that? Thanks!

    I have a total now of 4 interfaces - I recently purchased a FOCUSRITE SAPPHIRE 6 USB - it's amazing quality and I only paid $149 for it at my local Guitar Center. I use it with my Guitar and everything sounds fantastic - they say the preamps are really high-quality for Mics too... I recommend it. I have a firewire interface too but the Sapphire is my man baby now - don't let the USB 1.1 fool you - it works flawlessly with my Mac and my Windows 7 machine too. It also comes with a selection of software including Ableton Live Lite and 4 really nice Focusrite plug-ins too.

  • Questions about slow motion recording on the iPhone 6 Plus

    I took a couple of slo mo videos and they look cool, but there are a few things I don't understand.
    The frame rate I took them at is 240 fps.
    In an online article, I read the slow down speed is just 1/4th. But if the regular frame rate is 30 fps isn't the slow down 1/8th? I think that is true, because a video in the "recent" album says "8 seconds" but actually plays back at 64 seconds, which is 1/8th speed. And it's 64 seconds long after I upload it to YouTube.
    One question is whether there is an easy way to see the actual playback time other than doing the math?
    Another question is I understand there is supposed to be some way of editing the videos so you can adjust which parts are slowed down and which parts aren't. I can see how to trim, and I see the narrowly spaced bars (normal speed) and widely spaced bars (slow speed) but I don't see any way of adjusting those.
    Any hints about this? Or other slo mo recording any editing hints?

    1. Yes, if you record at 240 fps it is 1/8th speed.
    2. There is no way in either Photos or iMovie on the iPhone to see the playback time! Just the time it took to record the video.
    Doesn't it seem that people would want to know the playback time of a video?
    I have submitted feedback.
    I figured out how to edit the spacing of the real-time vs slo-mo portions. So that's no problem. But there is no way of knowing what the playback time is other than editing it on your computer or uploading it to YouTube or some place like that and see the result. Or manually timing it I guess.

  • Question about documents folder in the "stacks"

    Hey everyone. Here is my question.....In my documents folder that is in the stacks section there is one labeled iChats (Which of course stores my iChat conversations)
    I would like to know if I can remove it from stacks but leave it on my hard drive? Basically, does everything I put in my documents folder in the HD show up in the stacks documents folder? Is there another place where I can put some of these items that I do not want to appear in the stacks?

  • Question about document being inaccessible after saving this may be long!

    for some reason when i save a document i am not always able to re-access it. i have a number of documents "saved" to the desktop (i don't know how they got there), i can't delete them ( i don't have
    "sufficient privileges") and when I go to open them to either attach to an e-mail or just re-read they are greyed out! I can no longer download documents from the internet because I don't have enough disk space but I just emptyed the trash bin (whew!) I am EXTREMELY frustrated and am overjoyed that i finally figured out how to get to this forum. please help me!

    Thanks to all of our valued community members for your suggestions.  Adding to what was stated, the upgrading of a phone for says on that same line that did the upgrade under a new two year agreement. The contracts do not swap when doing a phone swap.   • Question about multiple video recording

    right so im going to be starting a small studio with some other people recording bands, interviews, news reports for our website and set top box (most of the major stuff like premisis etc has been sorted)
    we will probly have 3/4 cams recording both sd and hd so i was wondwering is there is any way of recording all of them onto one machine (mac pro 8 core etc) with say 3/4 aja, black magic internal cards would that work or would i have to get say 3/4 mac mini's with firewire aja/motu boxes and record using them
    im trying to keep costs low but quality high and also less equipment means less to go wrong etc, i want to try and get away without tapes and keep it all digital
    any advice or if i have missed anything feel free to ask

    At the T_code:MM02, I maintain a  material with a document assingment of 5000000001,but as I put the the material in a BOM,the document couldn't appear in the BOM item which label named "documents assignment".Can anyone tell me the reason?

    As documents are linked through object links,Material Master,BOM Header & BOM Item are three different objects.
    Firstly the documents which are linked in Material Master the same has to be viewed without attaching in BOM,
    docuble click on component where it leads to material master display screen and see the document.
    Secondly from DMS, documents cannot be linked to BOM Header and BOM Item.Even though if u want to link ,attach documents while u create BOM

  • Question about "Copy To All" Feature in Color

    Is there anyway to undo the "copy to all" feature in the Primary In Room once its been clicked? On longer project it is particularly annoying to be almost done, and accidentally change all your grades with that button.

    "Undo" is a bit of a bone of contention. There should be one level of it available... but whether the "Copy To All" counts as one operation might be up for debate. For now, I'd consider it to be a showstopper. You might save some of your efforts with a "revert" command, or back up one auto-save.

    I have the iphone 4A.  How can I prevent the Location Services feature from coming on by itself after I turn it off?

    Hard to really say without testing.
    I would assume since there is a prompt to verify that it holds ids of txt to remove prior to saying yes so shouldn't get new ones.
    Can always test.
    Start a thread with yourself (eg: mail you txt email addres...for att users it is [email protected]) thus you can start a conversation.
    Then try clear option. Wait when it says are you sure. Then send another txt from computer. Wait to hear that it showed up, then confirm clearing.

  • Question about the VI/VO feature on the 5600

    I currently have my PS2 hooked up to my computer in order to play.  I seem to be having a problem with the video-in/video-out jacks on the card, however.  Using the MSI Media Center Delux II software that came with the card, I get a black edge around the screen that is about an inch thick.  In order to get the video dislpayed properly I have to stretch the display on my monitor which is ok, but a pain when I have to reset it once I'm done playing.  I'm just wondering if this is a problem with the RCA input (I'm using the RCA cable instead of S-Video for right now), the VI/VO jack, or the software.  I've tried one other program for the device, but it wasn't any better.  Anyways, any help would be appreciated.

    That looks like the correct fix to me.  The previous version was definitely wrong.
    I wanted to add a comment to that article in the community zone, but couldn't find a way to do it event though I was logged in.
    There is a comment that the results are in valid for the first 4 iterations.  The way to fix that is to divide by the number of iteration that have occurred using the In range and coerce function to limit it to 5.

    So i wanted to create a screen capture and edit it in Final Cut Pro 7. I tried this and when i try to import into FCP7 and it wont let me at all. Can someone help me with this problem? Thank you
