Questions about eax support in incoming Sound Blaster 2 ZS Video Edi

I would like to know what eax version is supported by this product,if it's the 3.0 or 4.0?
Are the eax effects hardware accelerated as in the audigy 2 zs for notebook or software as in the audigy 2 nx?

Hi there! Thanks for the reply, unfortunately, I've tried VidCap and it wont let me capture either. The Start button on Step 3 isn't acti've. Its not bold, and when i click on it nothing happens. But under device manager and Sound, Video and game controllers, there are alot of things. They are as followed: Audio Codecs, Legacy Audio Drivers, Legacy Video Capture Drivers, Media Control Devices, Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Video Editor Audio Device, Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Video Editor Video Device, SoundMAX Intergrated Digital Audio, Video Codecs. Do you think any of these could be interfering with one another? If so, which ones can be safely disabled? I've also tried downloading all the necessary updates for VidCap and I've even tried reinstalling the Audigy card many times. I am able to see the preview of the video on both programs VidCap and VideoStudio but I just can't capture. Once again, the error message on VideoStudio is: 5065:29:0. Thank you so much, hopefully I hear from ya soon and this can be fixed.

  • Question about SAP Support pagackes

    Hi all
I am trying to understand more about SAP Support packages. Can anyone please help me to answer the following questions.
    1. How do we find out  waht version of Support package currently installed on our system. ( e.g what command or transaction provides this info).
    2. How do we find the latest support pack available from SAP?
    3.   Do we have to apply support pack to each component or to each module e.t.c
        ( Any command or tranaction....)
    4.  What is a  differnce between SAP kernel support pack and SAP Note.
    5. Is it requirement to  apply support package from SAP solutaion manager or can also be applied throught transaction
    Thank you very much....

    Hi Julio,
    1. How do we find out waht version of Support package currently installed on our system. ( e.g what command or transaction provides this info).
Go to Txn SPAM --> Click on Package Level --> Check the level against SAP_BASIS or SAP_ABA
    2. How do we find the latest support pack available from SAP?
    http://service.sap.com/sp-stacks --> SP Stack Information
    3. Do we have to apply support pack to each component or to each module e.t.c
    ( Any command or tranaction....)
There will be support packs for each component like SAP_BASIS,SAP_ABA,SAP_BW .. etc and you can apply them through SPAM.
    4. What is a differnce between SAP kernel support pack and SAP Note.
Kernels are central program that are required to run SAP system and these programs reside in OS level.Kernel support pack means correction to these cental programs .There is no transaction for this. You can replace the existing files with the new one ( in simple words ) . SAP note means correction to SAP programs , more than one SAP note is called a Support pack and Note can be implemented using SNOTE and Support packs using SPAM
    5. Is it requirement to apply support package from SAP solutaion manager or can also be applied throught transaction
Now you need Solution Manager to download Support packs from SMP.You can apply SPs in the target system without using Solman.
    Thanks

  • Question about EAX Effect: voice chan

Hi, I have two sound cards I bought recently. Sound Blaster Audigy LS, and Sound Blaster 24-Bit Li've!
Neither of them have the option of changing my voice when I talk. Which sound cards come with this option? Is there anyway I can download an update to my EAX to allow me to use the voice changer? Thanks.

Okay, I read that all the Sound Blaster cards that have EAX 4.0 Advanced HD have this option. Thanks.

  • Help about Creative SOUND BLASTER AWE 64 & video card Creative 3D BLASTER VooDoo2 12

Hi All. I really need your help!
I am hoping you can help me out with these problems.
My PC configuration is: ) Pentium II 266 Mhz; 2) OS Windows98 SE; 3) Creative SOUND BLASTER AWE 64; 4) video card TRIDENT 3D IMAGE 9850 AGP; 5) video card Creative 3D BLASTER VooDoo2 2 MB 3DFX; 6) external modem Creative BLASTER FLASH 56K DE5720 V.90.
I reformatted my pc but now:
. I have NO Sound at all and the Icon for sound is missing from the system tray. When I go to control panel and system properties I have this message: "BIOS reports pheripherial resources wrongly (error code 9)", but I have original drivers on Creative cd!!
    2. Modem doesn't work and when I go to control panel and system properties I have this message: "modem drivers are NOT installed (error code 28). Reinstall drivers". I have reinstalled the original drivers (Creative cd!!) but it doesn?t work at all.
    3. System doesn?t recognize Creative 3D BLASTER VooDoo 2; it doesn't exist for my pc!!
    Thank you for your time.

He has got an PCI system, so it should be PNP compatible. Migth be Interupt sharing. Try to stick that card into another slot. First only Graphic card. Reinstall Win98SE. Then install !ALL! updates for win98. install the AWE card. Download VXD drivers (NOT WDM!!!) and install them. VXD drivers can be found under windows updates /?Windows ME / driver section. Yeah, i hope this is right : WinME!! (had an AWE32, but its a?few years after i had downloaded these drivers.
Put in your Voodoo card. maybe this card is dead, but it might work if you try it in every slot? (dont move your graphic- card). Good luck. If finished, do the same with your modem, what you did on your Voodoo card. Maybe some parts wont work anymore, because these things are really old and some components on them (capacitors) may have running dead meanwhile.Modem issues: i know that com/3 or com2/4 isnt working on Pentium PC's so try beetween them.

  • Question about cpu support

Hi have been absent for awhile then about two weeks ago I stopped here regarding a prob I was having with my mouse.  I read a post aabout somebody who had successfully changed his cpu multiplier using the k7n420 which nobody had reported doing successfully for several months after the boards release.  At least that was my impression.  After confirming that someone had done it and that after updating their bios to 2.6 the multiplier could not be changed again I decided After six months of running steady at the default settings.  I busted out my silver pen and proceeded to unlock my athlon 1700.  To my utter astonishment I could now freely set the multiplier.  My previous systems were all overclocked and I had a watercooling rig mothballed in the closet.  My question is if the k7n420 will support the 2600 does that mean that the bios will include a fsb of 166 or will the multiplier on the new cpu's be higher than 12.5.  My current settings with the unlocked cpu and watercooling have me maxxed out at 12.5.  I blew up one of the first boards I had by using the fsb as a means of overclocking and do not wish to risk the same "early chipset initialization death".  But I have upped it a little and the system is unstable at anything more than one notch above default.  However the system is fine with the default settings and I am currently at 12.5 with the voltage at default.  increasing  the default voltage did not improve the trouble when I increase the fsb.  So I was hoping that a bios release would either include the 166 fsb or a higher multiplier if there is one (I dont think there is though).  It seems to me that if they are to support the 2600 there will have to be a change because at default and 12.5 XP2000 is the limit.
PS  The ring buffer problem appears to be related to a 24x10x40 cdrw from iomagic which I had bought on sale for 49.99 "I couldn't resist getting one for the price."  After I noticed the ring buffer error in the event log always followed an atapi controller error and the a cd error I removed the iomagic burner and put my previous LG8120b back in and have not seen the problem since.  iomagic was less than helpful and after researching the burner I found pretty much nothing other than others looking for help with the same burner.  Their is no information on firmware for it  and some of the mostwell known cd info sites hardly even mention it.  On top of that the support guy I chatted with didn't know nvidia had a chipset and told me I probobly had a via even after I explained to him that it has been around for awhile I closed by suggesting he go to nvidia's web site and see himself.  I mean really they already have another chipset about to hit the shelves how can a tech support person not be aware of these things.

    rosmini,
Since you are on Tom's Hardware site, they have a video, which has been referenced in this forum several times, on how to safely unlock the processor.
I would not bother with trying to unlock the processor until they come out with the next series of chips.  There is talk of the 2400+ and 2600+ coming unlocked.  Then the processor you have with we worth peanuts and then if you want to take a chance on trashing it, go for it.
Your best bet is just raising the FSB a few notches and you will get the desired effect and more.  It give you a higher processor speed but most importantly you get the greater memory bandwidth.  That is where you really see the benefits.  Look at the GeForce Cards as an example.  Overclocking the Core does little, but overclocking the RAM makes major boosts in performance.
    Take Care,
    Richard

  • Power problems and a question about Zen support respo

I have a Zen Micro 8gb player and unfortunately I can now be added to the list of users with Battery/charging issues. I've tried all the troubleshooting steps I can find here and none resolved my problem. Resetting does not help, nor does charging via USB/AC Adapter, I've tried switching adapters, etc. I've never had this issue before.
The problem started a few days ago when I plugged my Zen in like normal to charge - it was completely dead - and after several few hours of charging, I was still unable to turn my device on. I plug the charger in and the device does recognize it, it powers on and I get the blue light and "Creative" logo on the screen. Then the little battery icon flashes between the green "charging" icon and the red "empty battery" icon. It will go on like this for hours. Normally it would only take an hour or two to charge but now I can leave it charging for an entire day then it goes dead right after I unplug it.
My question is - based on user experience here - whether it's probably my battery or my device that is defecti've. This was a gift and I'm sure it is out of warranty, not that I'd be able to get the receipt even if it was. I've already emailed customer care. I'm just wondering what people's general overall experience has been with support and if it's even worth trying to go through the support channels to get it fixed. Thanks in advance.
    Kristal?

I am having the same problems....only I can't even get mine to come on. I have only had this thing for like 5 months.....if I would have known I was gonna have this many problems.... I would have went with another brand. And it would really help if I could get someone to give me a straight answer when I call! I am SOSOSO irritated!!

  • Question about Apple Support?

    Hi,
My computer's internal drive got rewritten over with Window XP and I'm working on file recovery. I'm doubtful I'll get anything back.
I don't have Apple Support but my sister thinks if I pay for a membership they might be able to help me out. They have a one time incident option. Does anyone know if they would be able to help me with this problem?
    S.

    Smokerz,
Thanks, I meant that I tried to take off my Mac and hold apple, option, O, F but I get the Windows screen since my drive was rewritten over with that so gave up. I talked to G-Tech today about the partitions not ejecting when I close down and they said that's because I'm booting off the drive itself so they aren't meant to eject.
I'm trying to find out why my Disk Utility is crashing and Disk Images won't open and have asked G-Tech about that. Hopefully it will help.
Appreciate your advice on recovery. I can't risk spending money for a program I'm not sure will work. Yes, I plan to be religious about backup once I built up my system again.

  • Attn: Jason/ Creative Support: XF-I Sound Blaster- System stops Recognition after boot up...HE

??Seems there are a lot of issues with this card and no one form Creative is addressing it's No post has a response from a Creative representiti've, why? My issue is simular:????I've been having a problem with the sound for a few months now and Dell can not resolve, hopfully?someone can help me or guide me in the right direction. When starting the computer, the Windows start up sound is heard. I'll check the the sound card though the Control Panel and it is recognized. As soon as I try to play a CD or a stored music file, the error window appears, [color="#ff0000"]" unable to playback audio. No sound device was detected on your system". I'll recheck in Control Panel, the sound card is not recognized but the Windows sound is still present. Dell suggested that the card may have been defecti've, so a new one was sent. After replacing the card, the trouble is still present. I purchased the system in April, '06 and have had the trouble since Aug.. Dell also had me reformat the hard dri've and re-install Windows at one point, it worked for awhile. [color="#000000" size="2" face="Arial"> I have now un-installed Nero 7and 'Windows media Player', the only player is 'Media Center', with only that one installed, the sound card will function but as soon as I close it out and reopen,?it fails. I also noticed that if I try to use " Creative Media Source" to play a song, the sound card is no longer available and I have to restart my PC in order for the sound card to be recognized. When I check in device manager, there is no fault marking against Creative SB X-FI.
    Any?help is greatly appreciated,

  • Some questions about applications supported by ipod touch

    Hello there!!!
I would like to ask please several qustions as followed:
    1. is ipod support any program who enabled to view PDF files?
    2. can ipod connect to external GPS antenna by its bluetooth build-in connection and to use any GPS program (e.g. as igo etc.)
    3. can ipod read and display Microsoft word documents?
I will be happy to receive your response!
    Best regards!
    atar.

#1, Yes, there are several apps that will open PDF files available from the App store. Most are free or cheap ($.99). Don't expect too much from the screen size though.
#2, No, at least not without a hack that requires you to make unauthorized changes to your iPod. Hopefully Apple will add support for BT GPS in a future release of iOS. They just added support for BT keyboards.
#3, DataViz, a company that has long made moving documents from platform to platform now offers the stalwart "Documents to Go" app for $9.99. Again, you are dealing with a very small screen.
    Hope that helps

  • Question about K8N Neo Platinum and sound

I'm experiencing "gritty" sound when using the onboard sound of the MSI K8N Neo Platinum.  Does anyone know why I'm getting this, and how to fix it?  I'm using Klipsch Promedia speakers.

I couldn't stand the Realtek AC97 audio - it sounded thin and tinny.
    I hated it.
I tried the nVidia drivers and the Readltek drivers, it didn't help - it sucked and there's now way to fix it.
Do your self a favour and get a Audigy 2 ZS (less than $100) and disable the $hitty AC97 audio - much better after doing that

  • Sound Blaster Z Control Panel - does it need to be in startup?

    Hey gang,
I built a new system this past week and put a new Sound Blaster Z card in it - which I am very thrilled with. I ran this new system for about 3 days with the onboard Real Tech sound, which at the time I thought was pretty good - till I put this new card in. Really liking it so far.
My question has to do with the Sound Blaster Control Panel, showing as a startup item. I have the option " start sound blaster Z control panel at startup " unchecked.
However in task manager startup tab, it shows Sound Blaster Control Panel as a startup item. It does show the sound blaster control panel listed as running in the processes tab of task manager using app 45mb of ram.
Does this process need to be running or can I disable it? Maybe it needs to be running to process sound with the settings I have chosen in the control panel?
Just curious, thanks for any tips on this.
    - Don

And of course now that I have asked the question, the last couple of times I have booted and checked, that is not the case - the Sound Blaster Control Panel is not showing as a running process...
The only items I see as running processes for this card in task manager now are:
    Creative Audio Service
    SoundBlaster Audio Service
Strange, but I can live with that .

  • No Sound from Sound Blaster Audig

My HP Pavillion came installed with the Sound Blaster Audigy 2 - Model # 0240 card. I've had about 2 years wth no problems. The other day the sound just stopped working. I know the speakers are set up properly since when I try to calibrate through Creative it plays those sounds but no other sounds through the computer. The Creative diagnostic tests finds the hardward but it fails the Midi, Wave and something else that I can't remember.
In Device Manager there is a yellow exclamation point before Sound Blaster 6 or AWE32. Under properties it says: This device cannot start. (Code 0). Under Resources it says: Resource Setting: This device isn't using any resources because it has a problem. That much I figured out....LOL.
I am not a computer expert but I'm pretty good at troubleshooting and nothing so far has worked. I tried removing and reinserting the sound card but to no avial. Howver, the card has two wires in the front of the card...one into AUX and the other port I cannot see what it is for but that wire is not plugged into the tower at all. Should it be? Is it possible it somehow became detached and that's why it no longer works? Could the card just be blown? I also tried a different slot when I took it out, also didn't work.
I have not installed any new hardware or software, however, my 3 year old son uses this computer and who knows what he's done.
Can anyone help me? I miss having sound!!!!!!
    Thanks so much!!
    Lisa
PS... I am running Windows XPMessage Edited by dknygirl on -2-2005 04:37 PM

    Hi Jason,
I only have one sound card. Stamped on the card it says Sound Blaster Audigy 2 in one spot and in another spot it says Creative Audigy 2. Aren't they one in the same? In device manager it lists the following: Audio Codecs, Legacy Audio Drivers, Legacy Video Capture Devices, Media Control Devices, Sound Blaster 6 and Video Codecs. That's all that's listed under sounds.
So far I've been unable to locate the discs that came with the computer but I'm still searching.
In the meantime, do you think that wire on the sound card that isn't connected to anything in the tower could be the culprit's Is there anyway if I can find out if it should be plugged into something. I only see one place that it can fit although it has two less prong holes on the top row.
Any other suggestions? HP tells me to do a system recovery but on the chance the card is blown, that won't solve the problem.
Does anyone know what Code 0 means that is shown in the device manager?
    Thanks!
