My questions are:
Is stuffit compatible with MS i.e. can you unzip it using MS software?
If not is there a better one like WinZip?

I think you will find the built-in compression software (right-click on a file or folder and choose compress from the pop-up) is compatible.

You don't. Email comes in either by push or when you invoke the email app. Ther is no password except when you first set up the account. If your iPad is not being used as your personal device and you need to shield emails from other users, then don't use the email app. Instead, use web mail if available from your provider.

Does CSS just rejects/drops subsequent needed sticky requests ?
or
Does CSS does not stick subsequence requests to particular service but CSS forward
subsequence requests with round-robin basis ? which means if the sticky table is full,
the CSS just works round-robin load balancing fashion for subsequence requests ?

It depends if the sticky-inact-timeout is used or not. If not, it's FIFO (the oldest entry in the sticky table is removed). If yes, the CSS will reject the next sticky request.

Question about Setting Window Title/the use of AVWindowSetTitle()

Hi everyone,
I have a question about setting the title of the window in which the Acrobat viewer normally opens a PDF file. The documentation states that AVWindowSetTitle() cannot be used in this case. However, using it has worked with versions of Acrobat/Reader up until and including version 8.
Everything breaks down starting with Acrobat 9.
According to the documentation I am supposed to do the following: "To set the title of a window in which the Acrobat viewer opens a PDF file, you must replace AVDocOpenFromASFileWithParams() and pass the window title in tempTitle."
Unfortunately, there are 2 problems I have with this approach:
     I do need to be able to change the document title on document Save, not only on document Open
     I do not know what AVDocOpenFromASFileWithParams() implementation has to look like if I have to replace it using HFTReplaceEntry().
Is there a sample customized implementation of AVDocOpenFromASFileWithParams() somewhere that I could take a look at?
Is there a way to change a document Title inside Acrobat/Reader window after a Save operation?

     I am sorry. I don't know how you tested this and came to conclusion that this works correctly in Acrobat X.
     I just tested our Acrobat plug-in with a trial version of Acrobat X and this did not work.
     When we open a file in Acrobat (doing it ourselves in the plug-in by adding another specialized open) we set the window title to something different from the default file name. Then if a file gets edited and saved (File->Save), the window title gets reset to the file name. In the PDDocDidSave callback we call AVWindowSetTitle() to set it back to a more descriptive window title we need. This has worked up until and including Acrobat 8, but does not work in either version 9.0 or 10.0.
     Also, I just modified the plug-in code to always change the Window Title of every document (even if opened through native File->Open) on document Save. It does not work.
     Please help,

Question about RAW to JPG file sizes

Hello all, I have a question/concern in reference to file size changes when converting from RAW to JPG formats in PSE6. I've recently purchased a CANON 50D, and have started shooting in RAW format (actually RAW2+JPG). I have the CAMERA RAW 5.2 plugin and my workflow process is something akin to this:
1. Separate all RAW and JPG images into their respective folders.
2. Open the RAW folder in BRIDGE, and then open up a CR2 file. CR2 file is approx 15MB at this point, as reported in Finder.
3. Perform various corrections in ACR52 to the file, then do as SAVE AS to a DNG file.
4. Next step is to OPEN IMAGE, bringing it up in PSE6.
5. Make any necessary corrections to the picture, and then do a SAVE AS to a new file name and folder, selecting JPG format.
6. Selection MAX QUALITY from subsequent dialogue box, and SAVE.
When the file is saved, its now down to a mere 2.1 or 2.2MB, and when viewing its properties (vs. the same file that came from camera in JPG format), its down from a 44x66" format, to somewhere around 4x6" and 240dpi.
I've been doing some reading on this over the weekend, but cant explain away the severe loss in file size, and whether this is right, or if I'm doing something wrong in the process.
Appreciate any advice or suggestions to help improve my work processes, and ultimately the final photos!

Dimensions and resolution are related and multiple combinations can be produced from the same number of pixels. For example, your 50D at maximum image size produces 4,752 by 3,168 pixels. This full-size image could be printed at:
- 19.8 x 13.2 inches at 240 PPI
- 47.52 x 31.68 inches at 100 PPI
- 7.92 x 5.28 inches at 600 PPI
As you can maybe see, talking about dimensions and resolution doesn't make much sense until you are ready to consider printing. Note also that I used "PPI" or Pixels Per Inch since this is the slightly more correct terminology. DPI or "Dots Per Inch" is usually a reference to how a printer lays down the ink drops onto the paper. Many printers actually put more "dots" on the paper than there are pixels. Many people and companies use DPI when they mean PPI.
Now in your case you are apparently starting with an SRAW2 raw file. SRAW2 files from the 50D have a reduced number of pixels and are 2,276 pixels wide by 1,584 pixels high. At 240 PPI this would allow you to print the image at 9.9 by 6.6 inches. If you are ending up with something smaller than that, it means you have either re-sampled the image (changed the image so the same image is displayed with fewer pixels) or you have cropped the image.

Question about printing and sorting files

What I'm trying to do is read in a file of names (about a thousand) sort them using a sort alorithim then print out the sorted file of names, as well a separate chart with the number of compares and swaps . My Sort class has different sorting algorithims, like insertion, bubble etc. Everything I have now works fine. But the way its set up now I have to pick one algorithim at a time, then it sorts then prints the results like this:
Bubble Sort
Compares : 2016
Swaps : 1052.
Now if I want to choose anothert algorithim, I'll have to manualy do that then run Main again then apend the results to the output file. But I would like run Main once opening the file that needs to be sorted then run one algorithim, calc the results, then do that again for another algorithim calc the results, then when I'm finished with all the algorithims, print all the results at once to the output chart. This so the output will look better, and the user won't have repeatedly run the program to see and compare the results.
Is this even possible, and if so, any ideas how?

Maybe Im misunderstanding your question, but couldnt
you just run the bubbleSort() method, then the
insertionSort() method, and so on? You would do this
in your main method.Yeah I tried that but for odd reason I get this for the results

My client want to use US chart of depriciation as standard chart of depriciation becuase it has already standard setting like IAS deprication keys.
it means I have to create Japanese chart of depriciation by copying from US chart of depriciation(non-japanese sample(0JP))
I have a little doubt about it. In my previous project, I copyed chart of depriciation by copy from Japan sample Chart of depriciation(0JP) stored in SAP.
Is it possible to copy from non-japan sample charg of depriciation to using Japanese new depriciation engine? I worried some errors will occrues if I do not use sample chart of depriciation(0JP) .
If I need to use sample Japanese chart of depriciation, please give me the idea why I need to use Japanese sample chart of depriciation. I want to know the examples of non-Japanese asset accouting consultants who have working experience in the area.

My client use one COA to all over the world. And not only Japan, other country aslo use the COD which is copied from that of US. Basic reporting line is for USGAP. I will customize 2 depriciation ares, one for US GAP and another is JGAP. No need to create TAX realted customize. It means it enought only adding Japanese new depriciation keys to Current US COD. No need to add more Japanese local requirements.
In this case, I want to know follwoing point.
I know COD controll depriciation keys, but I want to know more detail about COD, what kinds of controls COD do. What is Japanese local requirements. Why better to use COPY of JP COD.

Question about writing a text file

As we know, we can write a text file using class "FileWriter". I did a test (Please see the code below).
I found that if I used Notepad to open it, it would show "ab", But if I used "MS Word" or "UltraEdit" to open it, it would show " 'a' , new line and 'b' ".
Why Notepad can not display the right format? What's wrong with my code?

I have created a .flv file from a wmv file using Flash Video
Encoder
CS3. I didn't see a way in the encoder settings nor in
Dreamweaver CS3
to stop the video on the last frame. How could I accomplish
that?

A question about emailing or exporting numbers tabs on iPad

A question about numbers. Is it possible to export just one tab from a spreadsheet? I want to keep all my invoices in one spreadsheet but when I send it as a PDF or excel, all the tabs are sent. The only other option appears to be to create a new spreadsheet for each invoice. Wouod be great to ablr to store them all in one folder and send separatley. Any help appreciated.

Question about reading a sequential file and using in an array

I seem to be having some trouble reading data from a simple text file, and then calling that information to populate a text field. I think I have the reader class set up properly, but when a menu selection is made that calls for the data, I am not sure how to receive the data. Below is the reader class, and then the code from my last program that I need to modify to call on the reader class.

from the getRates function your InterestRates ArrayList is declared within that function, so it will not be accesible from outside of it, if you declare it outside then you can modify in the function and have it accessible from another function.

New user - questions about email setup and synchronization

Hi,
I'm a not-particularly-techno-savvy new owner of a BlackBerry Curve 8900. My questions are:
1 I seem to only have the option to use a work email account with a BB Enterprise server and not the option to create or add an email addy. How do I resolve this?
2 I've installed the BlackBerry Desktop Manager but when I try to synchronize data from my device - organiser stuff and contacts - I get a message saying there are no applications configured, with subsequent instructions as to how to do this but I then have to choose from a huge list of folders and other stuff and have no idea what to do!
I'm really hoping someone will be kind enough to try and help as I'm floundering dreadfully.

Jan,
When you install Desktop Manager it gives you the option to setup with an enterprise server or internet email, I can't tell from your post which you have.
However, to pick the applications to sync, assuming you have Desktop Manager 4.7,
open Desktop Manager
Click on Synchronize on the left side of the screen
On the next screen that opens, choose Synchronize under the word "Configure" (also put check marks in all the boxes that will allow you to check)
On the next screen to open choose Synchronization on the "right" side
In a couple of seconds another screen will open up where you can choose what applications to sync (calendar in Outlook, tasks in Outlook, Contacts in Outlook etc) just choose each program you need to sync and choose the program on your PC to use such as Outlook.
I also have the 8900 and it syncs with my Outlook 2003 for contacts, calendar, memo and tasks.

How can I recover deleted folders - also - question about editing/deleting msf files

Context: My wife accidentally deleted a series of folders from Thunderbird v.24.6.0
She says that the system warned her that there was "not enough space" or something like that (she doesn't remember clearly) and asked her if she wanted to "delete them permanently" (or something like that), but she pressed "yes" anyway. She then freaked out, and when I came in to see what she was screaming and crying about, she told me the above story.
SO, after spending the last 2-3 hours reading through help articles and finding my local Mail file/structure, learning about Mork and msf and compacting and X-Mozilla-Status codes, downloading Notepad++ and poking around through some of the files to familiarize myself with their format ... here I am trying to learn how to restore the folders.
Here is where I am at so far:
1. When I went to the Activity Manager, it shows the folders that were deleted, one below the others in a list with the title "Deleted folder foldername" with a dozen different folder names.
2. When I look for the one of the folders that was deleted in the Mail/path/foldername" - I open it (the one without the file extension) in notepad++ and it is empty. There only exists line 1 and there is no text in it (vs. the other folders I check that have the emails in standard From_line format.
This concerns me greatly and leaves me stuck. Did TB actually delete and compact the folder? Are they really deleted, not just X-Mozilla-Status deleted?
3. I don't understand how to restore a folder. I know I can go into a folder and change the X-Mozilla-Status for individual messages - but how to I restore the entire folder? I don't understand how the msf related to the deleted files/folders. It seems like there would be an entry/code somewhere that tells TB - "don't read this entire folder" that I could reverse/edit. I can't figure it out on my own.
4. I understand that, if I delete the foldername.msf file, TB will compact the foldername file. I think I should NOT do this because it will permanently delete the files I want to restore - right?
Any help would be appreciated. I have an unhappy wife. Thank you.

The message she garbled I would assume is that the deletions were to large and that the deleted folder would be bypassed. So all the normal recovery from the trash is simply not possible. There is no Thunderbird magic available unfortunately. So your reduced to using operating system undelete software. I have no idea how that will go, but I just downloaded this http://ntfsundelete.com/download and it does appears to do the job, even if the close text is so pale as to be hard to see.

A few questions about Canvas and other Image related stuff.

I am just starting to play around with Canvas in the hopes of using it to make a little game (not an applet) in my spare time. I have gotten a ball to bounce around the screen and switch colors when it bounces without too much work. (hooray for me!).
I was wondering:
1) If you always have to repaint the whole area of the canvas, or can you repaint sections of the screen?
2) Can there only be one canvas per frame, or if you can have more, like say, one for each sprite (I tried in my own simplistic way but the second canvas overrode the first when I added it to the frame) or do you have to lay out all the sprites in one canvas every time before you paint?
3) Is Canvas the best platform for rendering my animations and doing collision detection, or are other ways of presenting the images better? By better I mean lower usage of resources, higher speed, accessibility of events that occur. (I have read in the mindprod java glossary "[Canvas] receives all the raw mousing events. Panels, in contrast, see only a few.")
4) In a call to paint which tells it to display some images which are much larger than the frame the canvas is in, is time and effort spent working on those pixels that aren't displayed or does it take about the same amount of resources as for images that fit in the frame since the same amount of picture is actually displayed?
5) Is there any convenient way to layers with canvas besides just controlling the order in which the images are painted. (I will admit I haven't searched for this information yet, because I just thought about it.)
6) Is there any other information you guys would care to bestow on me?
If any of this question is ridiculous, obvious, ignorant or any other negative adjective, then I apologize. I will continue messing around in the meantime.

Okay, well I got it to work by drawing them both to the same canvas. duh I guess.
Can you have more than one canvas in a frame? How do you set the size if so.
How do I implement the z-order? I thought of doing it manually by sending the paint method a list of objects to paint and manually managing the order of that list. Would that be an acceptable way to do it?
Should I only be trying to paint to one canvas? What I would like to do is have several canvases with transparent backgrounds so that I can draw different layers in the same frame. That way flying stuff would be painted on a different canvas than stuff on the ground, and then putting it all in a frame would tie the pictures together into a scene. Kind of like how they do distance in animation by having different layers of drawings on clear plastic that they can move at different speeds to give the illusion of depth.

Question about webservice and wsdl file

I have this scenario , the customer wants to send some information as they happen
The customer wants to use a web service to our database(JDBC)
I understand that from this requirement , I have to develop the Object in PI , and create the wsdl file to send it to the customer , this wsdl file will have the URL and other information for the consuming of the webservice.
Now the weired thing is the customer insists that we should use their wsdl file , I am confused about this , I understand that when the customer send their wsdl file , it is because they will act as a receiver to our request , right ?
but if they want to act as sender , then the wsdl file should be sent from PI side based on the configuration.
My question is it possible to create a scenario based on the cunstomer wsdl file eventhough the customer is the sender .
if so what and how the URL will be.
