Questions About Pre-Ordering/Reserving the iPhone 4?

I know on June 15th you can pre-order/reserving an iPhone 4. I am a bit unfamiliar with the pre-ordering process.
If you can pre-order and pick it up in the stores, does that only mean it guarantees you one on launch day? Also on launch date will there be a separate lines for pre-orders and non-preorders? (So pre-orders go in the store first?)
And if you reserve the iPhone 4 in store pick-up, do you have to pay the whole thing, or just put a certain amount down?
I doubt if anyone knows this question.
What time do Apple Stores open when the new iPhone 4 comes out? I bought my iPhone 3GS last year at launch at AT&T and they opened at around 7 I think, which I read is the same this year.
I'd rather deal with Apple. Do they open around 7 A.M to too?

rather not deal with the crazies and people, id order online and get it shipped to my front door. check with your local Apple store for business hours. i remember att opening a little earlier on launch day for the 3GS, idk about Apple though? id asume both will run it alot smoother for everyone.

  • When will the next wave of pre-orders for the iPhone 5 be shipped

    Dear Apple,
    I sadly had to pre-order my new iPhone 5 through AT&T last Friday morning and was told I would get the phone today and then told it would be Oct 5th. I went into a store to see what I can do and although they have plenty in stock they told me nothing and then informed me it would be late October before it shipped. I know that this has nothing to do with you but since you have wonderful customer service and knowledgable peole can you please give me an accurate date on when the next wave of pre-orders will be shipped. Thank you so much. You guys are the best.

    If you want to know when the next shipment will be, call your local store or whomever you ordered it from and ask them.

  • Why is Apple NOT allowing pre-orders of the iPhone 4 in some countries (AU)

    I went on the Apple website for one of their Melbourne stores (Chadstone) and to my disgust I saw that the iPhone 4 would be available on a first come, first serve basis and you WILL NOT be able to pre-order them online. Why??? Come on Apple, answer this!

  • How does porting work with pre-ordering for the iPhone 5?

    I am currently a T-mobile customer with two lines, one for my wife and one for myself. We want to pre-order the iPhone 5 and become Verizon customers. Do I just pre-order the phones and then port our numbers over after we have received them? I guess what I am asking is, do I need to give Verizon any kind of heads up when we pre-order that we will want to port numbers, or can I just take care of all of that once the phones arrive?
    I know I have to keep my T-mobile account active until the numbers are ported, so I will definitely being doing that.

    The best way to pre-order your iPhone 5, is with the request to port-in your numbers from your current carrier. Here is the link to start your pre-order: http://bit.ly/RRkIKx After every option, select "Next" (top of screen). After you select your device(s), plan(s), and accessories, you will be asked if you want a new number, or if you want to transfer current numbers. If you transfer number, you will be asked for the number you want to transfer, current account number, PIN or password, owner's name, number to be reached, and full address. (Therefore, you will need all that when ordering.) The numbers will be ported over once you receive the phones, and they are activated. Until then, they will not be disconnected from your current carrier.

  • Questions about Pre-amp of the Tascam FW1884 or M-Audio Project Mix...

    Hello everybody,
    I'd like to purchase a semi-pro (I hope) audio interface.
    The Tascam FW1884 or the M-Audio Project Mix with their "all in one" feature seem to fit for what I want to do.
    But I don't know if the Pre-amp or the digital converters are quite good or just awfull.
    Are they better or not than the FireStudio from Presonus ?
    Since I need at least 8 XLR inputs, the FireStudio seems to be a good choice (but without a remote control, I know...)
    Is there someone who have an answer ?

    I have a ProjectMix and I like it. There are others that I know that like it, and there are others that don't. I've actually gotten some really nice results at times with it along with my Tube Condenser and Ribbon mics when I need it. I also plug my electric guitar into it, and I like what I get from it. It's not my main interface, but when I do use it for recording, I haven't been disappointed with it.

  • I have a question about signing up for the iPhone.

    Well, basically, I want an iPhone. I'm young, working, and I understand that when you buy an IPhone and sign up for the 2 year plan with AT&T, they run a credit check. Well, since I'm young, I have no credit yet. So how much extra will it cost to sign up with AT&T?

    If you don't pass at&t's credit check for a post paid account (at&t will say no one fails their credit check - but subscribers that don't meet certain criteria credit wise must put down a deposit), a deposit will be required. If you have good payment history (paying on time and in full) for 12 months, the deposit will be refunded after 12 months.
    You need to contact at&t to determine the deposit amount if required. If at&t requires a deposit, and you agree to the amount requested, at&t should give you a credit approval number - after the deposit amount is received. I'm not sure if they accept a credit card for a deposit, but likely.

  • Is there anyone out there who pre-ordered on the 3rd and still has not received their iPhone???

    I pre-ordered on the third and received an email on the fourth saying my phone had shipped.  I checked FedEx with the tracking # Verizon provided and I still get the same status that I got on the 4th.  It says the order has been "initiated".  The next step would be "picked up", but here it is nine days after I pre-ordered and no phone!!!  Hasn't even shipped!!!
    Is there anyone who is experiencing the same problems???

    I have been going back forth with Verizon and UPS and Verizon is blaming UPS and told me it's out of their hands once it ships. UPS is saying they're doing their best to get the package back to NJ where I am.  I also tried cancelling my order with Verizon and was told it could not be cancelled because the package has shipped. I was told if I wanted another phone I'd have to pay for it again. No one knows where my phone is UPS says they have misrouted a trailer full of Iphones. I don't know how true that is.

  • Question About Sharing Apps Between My iPhone and My Wife's iPhone

    Hi, I have a question about downloading apps to my iPhone.
    I ordered two iPhone 3g's - one for my wife and one for me, and I've discovered that when I download an app (even free ones) on my iPhone and then later sync it to iTunes, my wife cannot put it on her phone. However if I download it on iTunes on my computer and later sync it to my phone, then my wife is able to sync it to her phone as well. It's no big deal when they are free because she can just go get it if she wants it. I haven't purchased any apps yet, but is there a way to be able to give my wife apps that I purchase on my iPhone? Or do I need to purchase all of my [pay] apps and songs on iTunes on my computer to ensure we both have access? Or do I have it all wrong completely LOL?? This rights management stuff is confusing.

    I had my iTunes account and phone before I got my wife's hers. When I first started, I synced hers from her account on my computer brought in my libraries and authorized her phone as one of the 5 allowed. She had all purchased apps and music. Over time we each bought music or apps on our seperate accouts. Of course, we told each other about cool apps or music we bought and wanted on our phone. When I went to sync iTunes was going to delete all music and apps and sync with the library I was logged into. Didn't want that, only work around I have found is to copy new music or new apps from one library to the other. Updating on the phone is also difficult because you can't switch between accounts so updates have to be done at the computer for apps bought under different accounts. I am sure there is a better way to do this and ask for an insight anyone would have. I hope it works out.

    Thanks for pre-ordering Destiny at Best Buy! With the recent announcement of the Ghost and Limited Editions of Destiny, it’s no surprise that you’d be inquiring about switching your pre-order. I’ve only recently started really digging into the details of Destiny and I can already tell that this game will likely live up to the hype, and then some!
    Kandlestick makes a few pretty good points. First, you would need to cancel your existing pre-order for the standard edition of Destiny and create a new pre-order for the Ghost Edition. However, as Kandlestick also mentioned, you may want to check the availability of the Ghost edition prior to cancelling your current pre-order. To my knowledge, the Ghost version is likely no longer available due to it being very limited in quantity. Click here to see the different versions and their availability.
    If you wish to cancel your current pre-order, the method of doing so is determined by how you originally pre-ordered the game. If you pre-ordered on BestBuy.com, log in to your account and pull up the order. You should be able to cancel the pre-order from within the current order details. If you pre-ordered in-store, simply return to the store with your receipt and visit the Customer Service desk.

    It sounds as if AT&T has already told you they can't do what you want. It doensn't sould like anything that's fixable on your end.
