Questions about System Requirements for Adobe Air programs

Earlier today I asked someone who runs Tweetdeck if they knew what the system requirements were for running Tweetdeck on my desktop (Windows)
they gave me a link here: http://www.adobe.com/products/air/systemreqs/
and I found this:
Windows
2.33GHz Intel® Pentium® 4, AMD Athlon® 64 2800+, or faster processor
Microsoft® Windows® XP Home, Professional, or Tablet PC Edition with  Service Pack 3; Windows Server® 2003 or 2008; Windows Vista® Home  Premium, Business, Ultimate, or Enterprise (including 64-bit editions)  with Service Pack 2; or Windows 7
512MB of RAM (1GB recommended)
Here are my computer statistics:
Operating System: Windows Vista™ Home Basic (6.0, Build 6001) Service Pack 1 (6001.vistasp1_ldr.101014-0432)
           Language: English (Regional Setting: English)
System Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
System Model: Compaq Presario CQ60 Notebook PC
               BIOS: PhoenixBIOS 4.0 Release 6.1
          Processor: AMD Athlon Dual-Core QL-65 (2 CPUs), ~2.1GHz
             Memory: 2814MB RAM
Page File: 1858MB used, 3993MB available
        Windows Dir: C:\Windows
    DirectX Version: DirectX 10
DX Setup Parameters: Not found
     DxDiag Version: 6.00.6001.18000 32bit Unicode
Will me only having a 2.1GHz processor really affect how my performance is with Adobe Air products/apps in general?

Yes- I've had some lower price pc's using an Adobe AIR app and can tell the difference.
Computers where performance was a huge issue was Compaq CQ56 & Toshiba Satellite C655D
These computers are under 2.0 GHz and the app seems to freeze up on occassion or run slower.

My computer fulfills the requirements for Adobe AIR but Adobe Installer gives me a message that says I can't install because my computer does not have the system requirements.

That's circular reasoning. Without knowing the exact specs of the computer, this is not going anywhere. You could be overlooking something simple.

What are the ideal system requirements for Adobe Captivate?* In order to ensure it runs at a good speed.

I don't know about ideal, but I'm using an Intel Core2 Duo, 3.16ghz, 3.46gb ram, winXP Pro SP3.  This is an HP branded PC, it uses the onboard Q45 video.
I rarely have any problems that I haven't caused myself (having too many applications open while I work).
    hope that helps.

  • Question about  Graphics Cards for Adobe and more

Hello, for technical people I'll start by listing some relevant computer info:    Asus P9x79Pro Motherboard . Nvidia Quadro 4000 2GB . Windows 7 . Adobe CS6
I have a workstation PC and have been considering ways to improve it. I'm pretty happy with both Memory and Processor, so now I'm looking at the Graphics Card. I got the Quadro specifically because it was listed on Premiere's list of Mercury Accelerated Playback cards. I have no real issues with it, but I'm wondering if I'm getting everything I can out of it. I also use Resolve often and occasionally Maya, but not often. Sometimes these other programs feel sluggish. I'd like a set up that is most optimal for Adobe PPro and AE, but is also good for Resolve. I'm less worries about Maya.
My motherboard can support 4 GPU's, but I've never had more than 1 before. I'm curious how to go about it.  What sort of advantages will I get with a second GPU, how will this help me? Since I have a Quadro, should I get another Quadro? Should I run them SLI or run them independently? I've also been looking at the GTX Series, would those be preferable? If so, how should I set up my system, run monitors off 1 and use the other as a GPU boost? I really don't know enough about multi-GPU set ups, and I can't seem to find the answers I'm looking for, so any and all help is appreciated.
    Thank you

  • System requirements for Adobe Illustrator CS3?

    Hello!
I have iMac and would like to install Adobe Illustrator CS3.(I've never installed any other adobe illustrator versions before.)
    Mac OS x Version 10.4.11
    1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo
    512 MB 667 MHz RAM
Hard disk space available: 131.93 GB
    Resolution: 1440x900
    32-bit color
Will my iMac be able to handle Illustrator CS3 once I install the program?
    Thank you for your time!

There are no single core Intel iMacs. The OP has a Intel Core Duo (Yonah) processor which is still dual core but just 32bit rather than the 64bit Core 2 Duos used in subsequent Macs.
The system requirements only call for a G4 and 512MB RAM. Although I would agree that upgrading to 2GB would be sensible:

  • System requirement for Adobe Interactive forms as end user

    Hi All,
Can any one guide me the minimum system requirement at client PC so that they can use
Adobe interactive forms. i.e. what should be the lowest Adobe reader version and any other
software needed to use interactive form as end user?
I am developer So I am having latest Adobe version & SAP software's.
So forms are working fine on my PC.
    Thx

    Hi Rohan,
SAP Interactive forms requires Adobe Reader 7.0.9 or above for it to display/work correctly which is also clearly mentioned in SAP Note 834573 (for your reference).
Also, in case you are using the displayType property of the Interactive form as Activex then you may need to install ACF (Active Component Framework ) also on the client's machine in order to preview the form correctly. You should use the property as native which is available in latest versions.
Also, Please make sure that the settings in adobe reader as: Open Adobe Reader->Edit->Preferences->Internet->Display PDF in Broeser option is checked, in case you are diplaying your form in browser.
It seems, if you check the above things your PDF should work properly on client's environment as well.
    Hope it helps

    Gaurav Bhardwaj

  • Minimum System  Requirements for Adobe Applications

Hi, I want to upgrade to Adobe Creative Suite 4 Production Premium: main applications: After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop Extended, Flash Professional, Illustrator, Soundbooth etc.
To do this I also need to upgrade to an Intel Mac. What is the minimum (cost) Mac system I could get away with bearing in mind this is very much a training rather than commercial production situation.
Adobe claim system requirements: Multicore Intel® processor, Mac OS X v10.4.11–10.5.4, 2GB of RAM (more RAM recommended when running multiple components) This would suggest a Mac mini (2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB memory) would suffice although my own gut feeling would be a top end iMac
    Any advice much appreciated

  • Does my computer meet the system requirements for Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended?

I am planning to buy Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended but I have tried to understand if my computer 's system is enough for the software. Please help me, the Adobe requirements I am unsure of are in bold and my system is in italics (My laptop is an Acer Aspire 5715Z):
    Windows
Intel® Pentium® 4 or AMD Athlon® 64 processor - Intel Pentium Dual CPU T2330  (Should be higher than Pentium 4???)
1024x768 display (1280x800 recommended) with qualified hardware-accelerated OpenGL graphics card, 16-bit color, and 256MB of VRAM - display is no problem, Mobile Intel GL960 Express Chipset with Integrated 3D graphics, featuring Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 with up to 358 MB of Intel Dynamic Video Memory Technology 4.0)
Some GPU-accelerated features require graphics support for Shader Model 3.0 and OpenGL 2.0 - I haven't got a clue what to look for.
    Thank you for all help!
    Jen

    Brand:
    Acer
    Mfr Part Number:
    Aspire 5715Z

    2 GB
    Processor Brand:
    Intel
    Processor Speed:
    1.6 GHz

    Operating System:
    Windows Vista Home Premium
    Screen Size:
    15.4 inches
    That's from the Acer website.
It IS a pentium processor, but I see nothing to indicate if it's 64bit. I'm guessing it's 32. CS5 works best in a 64 bit environment, that's my personal opinion. I've used it in both and 64 outperforms 32.
2Gb of Ram will cause some performance issues too. If your aspire can be bumped up to 4Gb do that first.
80Gb of HD with Vista and I don;t kow how much other software and files you have, but it isn't a lot these days. I had a Toshiba with an 80Gb drive and I lasted about three months before I HAD to put a 250Gb in it. Once I had Vista Ultimate, CS4 Master Collection, Office 2007, Roxio Creator 10 and about 4 Gb of websites. I had to connect an external drive for my Photoshop files because I had about 6Gb left on the drive.
It will run (in 32bit mode) but with the "factory" specs, it will run slower and you may experience issues with it freezing up on large files (2Gb or bigger).

  • Confused about System Requirements for CS6 Master Collection...

    Hi there,
For my Design Technology and Photography studies, it is recommended that I have the CS6 Master Collection installed on my laptop as well as my desktop computer (so I can still work when I'm not at school, of course) - but I'm not sure if my laptop can handle it all...
    Here's what I've got:
Compaq Presario CQ56 laptop / notebook with:
    - 2gb RAM
    - Windows 7 Home Premium (64bit, service pack 1)
    - Intel Celeron Dual-Core CPU T3500 at 2.10GHz (I'll admit that I don't know what that entails - I know it runs things, but aside from that I'm pretty clueless)
    - Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family (I don't really know what this is, either)
There's some more in-depth information about it (or at least one incredibly like it, but with a single-core processor instead of a dual-core like mine) here: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-HP-Compaq-Presario-CQ56-Notebook.42285.0.html
The hard drive has plenty of room on it (about 120gb), so I'm not all that worried about the space the software will take up.  All I'm really asking is "will my laptop run this as it is, or do I need more RAM / a better processor / anything else?"
    Thanks,
    Emma
(P.S:  Yes, I know it's a pretty cheap laptop, and that the screen isn't perfect... but for my more serious work, I also plan on running the software on my home computer [which I know completely fulfils the requirements because it's exactly the same as the computers they use at school )

Well, could all the MC apps run on this system? Probably not. Could PS, AI and ID run on it along with Acrobat? Maybe. The critical factor will be, whether they actually install. Since the screen res is too small and your memory outfit is the bare minimum, you may already hit a dead end on that when the installer refuses to proceed because the requirements are not met. If it does, then using the apps probably will work, but it won't be much fun. things will feel slow and e.g. hardware acceleration in PS not be available.

  • What are the system requirements for Adobe Creative Cloud?

I want to make sure my computer can handle the programs before I purchase it.

    All listed here app-by-app
    http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/tech-specs.html#requirements
What are your system specs? Which operating system?
As a minimum, you'll need a 64 bit hardware and operating system to run apps such as Premiere Pro.

  • Question about the requirement for goods issue from a delivery (VOFM)

    Dear all
※Please note that this is related to the credit limit check.
I am trying to set up the SAP system, so that if the maintenance contract (rental document) is billed at least once,
the system would allow the user to bill the customer regardless of the credit usage (ex. 150%).
So I created the following routine for the credit check (in VOFM).
IF XVBAK-AUART = 'ZMZZ'.    --> Please note that ZMZZ is the document type of our rental document
       LOOP AT XFPLT.
           IF XVBUK-FKSAK = 'B' or XVBUK-FKSAK = 'C'.
We will not do any credit limit check for this item line.
                MOVE CHARX TO BYPASS-SECURITY.
                MOVE CHARX TO BYPASS-STATIC_LIMIT.
                MOVE CHARX TO BYPASS-DYNAMIC_LIMIT.
                MOVE CHARX TO BYPASS-DOCUMENTVALUE.
                MOVE CHARX TO BYPASS-CRITICAL_FIELDS.
                MOVE CHARX TO BYPASS-REVIEWDATE.
                MOVE CHARX TO BYPASS-OPEN_ITEMS.
                MOVE CHARX TO BYPASS-OLDEST_OP.
                MOVE CHARX TO BYPASS-DUNNING_LEVEL.
                MOVE CHARX TO BYPASS-USER1.
                MOVE CHARX TO BYPASS-USER2.
                MOVE CHARX TO BYPASS-USER3.
                EXIT.
          ENDIF.
               EXIT.
       ENDLOOP.
    ENDIF.
Now, with the routine above, it became possible to bill customers regardless of the credit usage.
However, when we try to ship (posting goods issue) the item for that maintenance contract, when the credit usage exceeds 100%, the system rejects it with the error message below.
    <Error message>
Static credit check: credit limit exceeded
Now, I want to set up the system, so that if the posting goods is for the item which satisfies the following condition,
the system would not reject the posting due to the error above.
    <condition>
    1. The item is for the maintenance contract which was billed at least once --> this means that this is not a new contract
※Please note that for new maintenance contracts (which is not billed even once),  the system should not allow to post goods
issue if the credit usage exceeds 100 %.
I looked into VOFM, and found out that we are using the following routines for posting goods issue.
    <system routine>
    13
    <user routine>
    113
But I didn't know where the error (Static credit check: credit limit exceeded) came from.
Could you tell me how to find (or where to modify) a location where I can make the modification in order to
    satisfy our requirement?
Thank you very much in advance

    Dear all
I was able to solve the problem by setting up the credit check routine for delivery notes, and assign it for "No credit check" field
in the automatic credit control (OVA8).
So, thank you for your help, everyone
    Takashi
