I don't think you can, at least not in the native app. You can, however, install a third party sms app from the market that WILL allow you to do this. I personally use Handcent and like it a lot

First, I would say make sure you don't have your phone in silent mode (on the previous menu page), then make sure you don't have "use incoming call volume for notifications" checked (though if you have a slider for notifications, you probably don't). The only other thing I can think of is that you may be hitting the volume buttons without realizing it.

Beginner question about the size of the documents and fonts
I have worked with dps a couple of years now and now that Adobe removes Single Edition I have to look at other tools. EPUB3 fixed layout appears to be an alternative solution.
I've been reading up on the web and checked on Lynda courses, but there is one thing I wonder about.
How should I think about the size of the InDesign document and the size of the body text when I create a EPUB3 with fixed-layout?
Regards
AkeA couple things to keep in mind with EPUB3 Fixed Layout:
Unlike EPUB reflowable, FXL doesn't change size. You'll need to optimize your InDesign layout for the device most likely to view it—for example, an iPad, since it's the dominant device.
Like with DPS, you'll need to pick a font size larger than you'd use for print.
As with DPS, it's very important to do some tests on your target device to optimize both dimensions and font size.
Final Note: If you're in North America, this is a good time to buy an iPad since there are a lot of Black Friday sales coming up! -
Change font and font size in a textedit
Hi,
I am using a textedit UI element in read only mode. its getting the value from context attribute. I need to change font and font size ( atleast the later) and make it bold.
how can this be done ?
plz help......
Thanks
AkashHi Thomas,
I saw from your response in the post above that you might be able to answer a question I have about the portal theme.
We are using several textedit elements in our portal, however the font size of text entered in those textedit fields is smaller than the standard global text in the portal. I have tried in vain to find the setting in the portal theme that controls textedit elements. Do you happen to know which one it is exactly?
Many thanks for any suggestions/help you might have

In SAP 4.6c In classical reports output how to change Font size and Font type
Dear Experts,
In SAP 4.6c, in classical and interactive reports output how to change font size and font type.
Regards,
Zaker.These are HTML formatting questions. Nothing to do with the Oracle SQL and PL/SQL languages.
With old-style HTML, the font size and family are set using the font tag.
With modern style HTML, that is done using cascading style sheets (CSS).
Your favourite search engine will turn up tons of information on both. -
CS4 question re:Illustrator and InDesign
Mordy mentioned increased support with Illustrator and InDesign.
Can anyone enlighten me on what the support is? Can InDesign place native Illustrator files WITHOUT having the AI files saved with pdf compatibility?
Thank you in advance.No, I just chuckled when I read it.
However, my questioned has to do with client submitted art where the client does not save it with pdf compatibility and does not supply supporting links and fonts. I most likely have the fonts, but I can do nothing with the missing links.
Anyway, I doubted this would work but I am curious what Mordy meant with easier interaction between Illustrator and InDesign. -
Adobe Captivate - Multiple Choice Quiz Question - Radio Button and Text Alignment
I have created a quiz with multiple choice questions.
No matter what I do I cannot align the radio button and the text for the choices (see below).
I would like to align the center of the radio button with the center of the letter A) and B).
I have tried every option that I can think of in the Properties options.
Please let me know if anyone has a solution for this.
Thank youThanks for the reply.
Previously I tried several different combinations of fonts and font sizes, but didn't see any change.
Does anyone else know of anything else that could effect this situation? -
Captivate 8 - "Question X of Y" Font Issue
Hi All,
I am using Captivate 8 to create a quiz and have set the "Question X of Y" font to be Sergoe UI Bold (with a different colour) to match our company Style Guide, however when I produce the Quiz - this Question X of Y produces/displays as a different font. It is noticeable as all the other questions/answers on the slide are all set to Sergoe UI, so it is unmistakeably different. Has anyone else come across this/ know how to fix it?
Note: I noticed some old forum discussions about Quiz font display issues in Cap 6, but nothing specific to the Question X of Y or in Cap 8.
Any and all help appreciated.
Thanks!
NicoleAdmittedly, I have tried the web safe fonts - but no luck!
Thanks anyway.

Quiz Drop list- How to change fontsize and font colour
Request for guidance to change fontsize and font colour. I tried changing the colour in droplist property, but it doesn't work.
There is no facility to change font size. Any work around?
Rgds
RajanHello,
Are you talking about the dropdown-list for a Fill-in-the-Blank Question? I'm sorry, there is no way to change the style of the items in the dropdown-list. You can change the other Text Captions: Title, phrase, ... but not the dropdown list.

Hi all:
I have some questions about font and image rendering in
flash. At time, the images Im using on my application are in png
format, I have noticed that my swf is not very big in size(about
140Ks), however, when I load it, the memory used increases
amazingly (nearly 2MB), whats the policy of compressing and
uncompressing of png images?.
Also, some attached images are a bit decreased on width, is
that caused by the image renderer of flash player?
The fonts displayed (when I use font including glyphs) are
displayed a little bit blurry too.
Any advice about the configuration of fonts or imported
images?.
RegardsAssuming you are using s60 and checking memory on the phone,
I believe the standalone will grab memory from the device once it
starts running. So, the 2mb is probably Flash Lite occupying its
maximum allowed memory, and maybe not particular to your SWF. You
can test this by loading another swf of different size and checking
memory.
Make sure that x,y coordinates of images and fonts are on
whole number values , not decimals. Also make sure the text box
size is whole number value. Font blurriness maybe from Flash
anti-aliasing. Have you tried to display your text without
anti-alias. Are you using a mask over device fonts? (flash will
embed a font in this case and not use device font). -
I need a way to set the properties of a text box--color and
font of the text inside it--upon an event, wether it's in the
timeline or off a button release or even LoadMovie would work. Is
this possible?
woodburyHi Firstodd,
1. Try re-assigning the text after you set the format:
blackjack.onPress = function() {
var oldText=this._parent.field.text;
var myFormat = new TextFormat();
myFormat.font = "BlackJack";
this._parent.field.setTextFormat(myFormat);
this._parent.field.text=oldText;
I haven't played around with the AS3.0 enough yet but I know
that the
2.0 one applies changes to new text so you need to add "new"
text to the
field by recopying the existing text. Basically...rewrite the
text with
the new format.
2. Your formats are stored in the text field's format
property. You can
either keep a reference to the original format you created
('myFormat'
above), or use:
var myFormat=this._parent.field.getTextFormat();
The text format has a variety of properties you can read such
as font,
size, color, and so on. Have a look at the TextFormat class
reference in
the Flash help. Most of these are completely optional so you
can
set/read whatever you want.
About the text, you simply read or write to the field's text
property
like we did in example 1:
this._parent.field.text="This is new text";
var fieldText=this._parent.field.text;
If you want the user to be able to input text into the field,
make it an
input field:
this._parent.field.type='input';
Otherwise, it's just dynamic:
this._parent.field.type='dynamic';
Do you want it selectable?
this._parent.field.selectable=true;
If it's tall enough to support multiple lines, do you want
multiline
support?
this._parent.field.multiline=true;
Automatic line wrapping on lines?
this._parent.field.wordWrap=true;
You can get even lower-level if you want. You can monitor
what the user
types character by character (assuming this is AS2.0):
function onFieldChanged(fieldRef:TextField) {
trace ('Field now has text: '+fieldRef.text);
this._parent.field.onChanged=this.onFieldChanged;
A field can also cut off if you exceed the available area.
You can set
auto-sizing so that the field adjusts itself to what you
type:
this._parent.field.autoSize='left';
//Use 'center' to keep the text aligned to the center of the
field, and
'right' for right alignment.
Dimensions of the typed text, in pixels, can be obtained
through:
this._parent.field.textWidth;
and
this._parent.field.textHeight;
(You can get the dimensions of the field using _width and
_height but
this is the field size, including borders).
Speaking of borders:
this._parent.field.border=true;
And background...
this._parent.field.backgroundColor=0x00FF00; //green
backrgound
this._parent.field.background=true; //turn it on
I could go on for pages...have a look at the TextField class
to see
everything else you can grab.
The TextField class is the actual field...TextFormat is the
optional
format that's applied to the text.
Hope that helps,
patrick

I'd love an option in the text panel where you can choose the rendering that you want the text to have when published. It's possible to do this using code and CSS after exporting but I'd like it to be possible within the Adobe Muse application, for both web fonts and built-in fonts e.g. Helvetica, Arial, Georgia etc. From what I know this isn't possible but if someone else knows how then I'd appreciate any help. Otherwise, it's a feature that I'd like to see in a future update.
GeorgeAbhishek,
Thank you for the reply. Wanted to comment on a few things.
I reviewed the other post that you've referenced. Nothing unusual jumped out at me as something that I was not aware of. I'm running an older iMac that is in good working condition. 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 24" screen. I know this issue is fleeting, as I stated earlier typically can be corrected with a restart of the CC Desktop application (that I am always running at startup). I have not been able to determine that shutting down Muse corrects the issue. I would, at this time say it doesn't.
I did open InDesign and see if the fonts in question, Open Sans and Open Sans Condensed, were present and usable. They were. The fonts are shown as being synched in my CC Desktop app window (even if they are not "installed" in Muse). That is expected but it may be a bug in how Muse brings in a font from those that are already synched to your CC account. I don't know enough about how that works to comment.
And just to complicate matters, Muse seems to be working again, the fonts that is. I brought them back in and they are showing up in all locations (which there are actually three - see screen shots).
First is primary text menu dropdown (to right of orange "Text").
Second is if you click orange Text link. Another drop down menu appears.
And lastly, the Text Panel to right of screen.
I also wanted to add this extra bit of information, for what it is worth. When the issue arises and you do not get the sub-menu dropdown showing various styles of the font (italics, bold, etc.), one can use click on the missing font if you had used it previously and it is present in the "previously used font" list.
Cheers! -
The app icons and font on my iPhone 4 just went to massive making it difficult to even scroll how can I change it back, where do I go which menu? Thanks in advance
Next time you accidentally use 3 fingers it will zoom again. Unless you need the feature you're better to turn it off

Question regarding battery and warranty
Hi all! I have a quick question about how and if my warranty applies to my battery. After about a year and a half of ownership (I have the three-year extended warranty), my battery has gone completely down the toilet. It wasn't a problem before, but this year I have to lug my T61p around a lot for lab work. My battery is now rated at... 39.75Wh when it shipped at 84.24Wh. This is a pretty drastic difference. In any case, I don't think that this is covered by warranty, but figured that I'd ask before I drop $180 on a new battery (ouch). And, speaking of, if my suspicions are correct, does anybody know where I might find a 9-cell battery for the T61p? All I'm seeing on Lenovo's website is the one for the N100... which doesn't... match very well. Yaknow.
Thanks a lot!
ThinkPad T61p [June 2008]: 2.5Ghz Penryn Core 2 Duo, 4GB DDR2 RAM, NVidia Quadro FX 570m 256MB, 160GB 7200RPM Fujitsu HDD, 1920x1200 WUXGA Matte LCD, Windows 7 RC1Is either of these appropriate? I'm wary of the one on Amazon, as there are other (off-brand) batteries that are advertised as being Lenovo ones (though those generally sell for a lower price). The other one just looks like I'll have to call up to buy it.

Question regarding roaming and data usage
I am currently out of my main country of service, and as such I have a question regarding roaming and data usage.
I am told that the airplane mode is sufficient from keeping the phone off from roaming, but does this apply to any background data usage for applications and such?
If the phone is in airplane mode, are all use of the phone including wifi and application use through the wifi outside of all extra charges from roaming?Ann154 wrote:
If you are getting charged to use the wifi, then it is possible. Otherwise no
Just to elaborate here, Ann154 is referring to access charges for wifi, which is nothing to do with Verizon, so if you are using it in a plane, hotel, an internet cafe etc that charges for Wifi rather than being free . Verizon does not charge you (or indeed know about!) wifi usage, or any other usage that is not on their cellular network (such as using a foreign SIM for example in global phones) So these charges, if any, will not show up on the verizon bill app. Having it in airplane mode prevents all cellular data traffic so you should be fine -
Question regarding MM and FI integration
Hi Experts
I have a question regarding MM and FI integration
Is the transaction Key in OMJJ is same as OBYC transaction key?
If yes, then why canu2019t I see transaction Key BSX in Movement type 101?
ThanksNo, they are not the same. The movement type transaction (OMJJ) links the account key and account modifier to a specific movement types. Transaction code (OBYC) contains the account assignments for all material document postings, whether they are movement type dependent or not. Account key BSX is not movement type dependent. Instead, BSX is dependent on the valuation class of the material, so it won't show in OMJJ.
thanks,
