Questions on Oracle iProcurement Punch-Out

Hi,
I need to troubleshoot iProcurement issue and want to pull a few recently sent cXML files to review. Also I need to check the cXML mapping to find out the PL/SQL calls being some of the fields.
I am new to iProcurement and don’t know where to locate these information. We are running 11.5.10.2 with XML Gateway. Please help. Thanks!

  • Punch out product category question

    Hi all:
We are using a punchout from Gateway. The OCI sent from the vendor does not have a product category (see below).
    "NEW_ITEM-MATGROUP[1]" value="">
We have 2 product categories assigned to the user in the Ext Attributes. While creating the SC using the catalog, the system picks up the second product category defined in Ext attributes.
How does it do it ? Is there a way it picks up the first product category ?

    Hi Bakulesh,
Glad to hear that your problem is solved. Can I ask for a favor please? I need to understand that during punch-out, how data is brought back to SRM screens from catalog. I would be really very thankful to you, if you send me some config document or all the customization steps involved in this.
    Best Regards,
    Amit
PS: I have created one separate question for this, if you wish you can ans that so that I can assign you the points

  • Questions on Oracle Logical DB Structure

    Hi friends
I just started to read oracle architecure, I have the following questions on Oracle Logical DB Stucture
Can any help me to find out the answers for it.
    1. What Table Directory portion in Oracle Data Block store?
I read some where "Table Directory portion in data block contains information about the table having rows in this block"
Is Data Dictionary also contain the information about the Tables and where it stored? If so why Data block also need to contain the same information.
    2. Does Table Directory portion in Oracle Data Block contains details about each Column and Row description or only the general details about the table
    3. How many blocks will form a Extent. Is it configurable ?, Where we need to configure whether we need specify it in Storage Parameters or in some configuration files?
    4. How are Bitmap used to track used and Free space in Locally managed Tablespaces
    5. Do Extent also span files(ORA files)
i.e. 'Table can span across ORA files' whether it means part of a Extent may present in one Data file and other part in another data file.

    5. Do Extent also span files(ORA files) i.e. 'Table can span across ORA files' whether it means part of a Extent may present in one Data file and other part in another data file.
A table Extents can span into multiple datafiles. But, a single extent can't span into multiple datafiles.
    4. How are Bitmap used to track used and Free space in Locally managed TablespacesA Locally Managed Tablespace is a tablespace that manages its own extents maintaining a bitmap in each datafile to keep track of the free or used status of blocks in that datafile. Each bit in the bitmap corresponds to a block or a group of blocks. When the extents are allocated or freed for reuse, Oracle changes the bitmap values to show the new status of the blocks. These changes do not generate rollback information because they do not update tables in the data dictionary (except for tablespace quota information), unlike the default method of Dictionary - Managed Tablespaces.
    ** Reduced recursive space management
** Reduced contention on data dictionary tables
    ** No rollback generated
    ** No coalescing required
    3. How many blocks will form a Extent. Is it configurable ?, Where we need to configure whether we need specify it in Storage Parameters or in some configuration files?

  • XML Parser Exception on Punch Out Setup Request

I am on the supplier side of the procurement process. Recently I was tasked with bringing on a new buying group, but we have encountered a strange issue. The buyer set up my company in their ERP system, however they are getting an error when trying to punch out to my website...which is listed below.
Error Code: 400 Invalid XML Format In Login Response Document Unable to parse the Login Response XML.
    XMLParserException
oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLParseException: End tag does not match start tag 'meta'.
    at oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLError.flushErrors1
After some investigation, I am confident the problem resides in the buyers BrowserFormPost URL. The problem seems to be that instead of using "&" for ampersand between the URL variables, it is passing in the & symbol (& is a protected character in XML), which is causing the Oracle XML parser to throw this exception. As a result, the set up request is never getting to me.
The buyer has opened a couple of tickets now with Oracle support, but both times the ticket has been closed and the buyer has been instructed to contact the supplier (me). I don't know enough about the buyer side Oracle system to instruct them on how to fix this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Rakesh,
You need to have an S-User ID to access SAP Notes. For your convenience, I am pasting the content of SAP Note 954035.
Process, block and CO could not be created in GP
    Symptom
After upgrade of SAP-EU component to version 7.0 SP8 in Guided Procedures process, block and callable object could not be created. On design time screen   appears error message:
    com.sap.engine.lib.xml.parser.ParserException: XMLParser: Bad attribute list. Expected WhiteSpace, / or >:(:main:, row:1, col:491)
During attempt to start process through the Runtime screen you will get an error message:

    Proceed as stated for SP8.
    Other terms
This is WebDynpro problem caused by an inconsistency of versions.
    Solution
          1. Redeploy the SCA SAP-EU (if redeployment does not help undeploy and deploy again) components:
              o caf/eu/gp/ui/dt/comp/cons,
              o caf/eu/gp/ui/dt/comp and
              o caf/eu/gp/ui/actions  from software component SAP-EU
    or
          2. Apply the SP8 patch 1 if you upgrade to SP8. Both components mentioned below will be updated:
              o caf/eu/gp/ui/dt/comp/cons

  • Punch Out Catalogs - General Information

    Hi
One of our clinets is implementing SRM with punch out catalogs. I have not done punch out catalogs before. We are asked to let the vendor know what they need to do in order to integrate with SRM for punch out catalogs. Apparently, the vendor has never integrated with SRM before. The client is on SRM 4.0. I understand the config settings that we need to do in SRM to bring up the punch out catalog.
My questions is what steps does the vendor need to do to be able to integrate witrh SRM? We need to send them the detailed steps that they need to do before integrating the catalogs  (fyi., they do have a website for ordering materials but it is not client specific).
I understand it is a very basic question but any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks
    VJ

    Hi Vinay,
There are many discussions on this subject. you can search them in SRM shopping cart
The catalog vendor would need to be OCI compliant.
SRM server- > master data-> Define external web services .define catalog name
You must give outbound parameters for the vendor catalog to access(url/user id /password) in the call structure from ebp.
As well as this catalog definitions must be defined in CAT attribute in PPOMA_BBP.

  • Urgent help - Punch out

We are having a punch out issue with one of our suppliers catalog. We could log on to their portal linked with us, <b>but we are getting a suppliers general Portal page when we click return to requisition</b>, instead of returning the items to our shopping cart from the suppliers .
The supplier is saying there is a problem with HOOK_URL.
My question: Who should maintain the HOOK_URL? Supplier or Customer?
we did not make any configuration changes on our side though.
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi
Check the html form <b>returncart</b> whether the catalog items are returning back to shopping cart. Check the <b>action</b> parameter of this returncart form, what value is paased into this. This should be directed to your SRM applicatin.

Furthermore, is it possible to do cross catalog search accross MDM and a transparent punch out catalog?
    /Jimmy

We are having problems with Transparent Punch Out and OCI.
We are using HTTP POST, but when we create a SC what should we receive in SAP??
Should we receive raw HTML or submitted/posted HTML?? As far as I can see, we should receive raw HTML...or?
Furthermore, is it possible to do cross catalog search across MDM and a Transparent Punch Out Catalog?

  • Logic Pro X Unknown Punch-Out Range

    Hello,
For some reason when I try and setup an auto punch, the punch out marker is unknown and the red bar seems infinite... so I can't set a proper out point. Does anyone know how to reset the range... maybe enter it manually?
    Thank you.

    Hi
Control Click on the Control Bar and customise: add show Sample Rate/Punch Locators
You can then adjust the Punch locators numerically
Alternatively, use one of the Punch In/Out locator key commands such as Set Punch out Locator by Playhead (default Control Option Command O)

  • How do I set a punch-in point without a punch-out point?

I'm recording an audiobook and I need to set a specific punch-in point where I mess up and then I'd like to continue recording without setting a punch-out point.  All I've been able to find so far is punching-in on the fly, but I don't want to do that because I need the punch in point at a specific spot, and I need to be focused on the text and hearing how I was reading it, no focused on pressing record at the right spot.  There's got to be a way to turn off the punch-out point using the auto punch... right?

    Hi
'fraid not.... your only solution would be to set the punch out point far enough 'to the right' so that it becomes irrelevant

  • Multiple items not getting transfered from Punch out

    Hi,
I need your help in fixing an issue with punch out.
When we select more than one item in the punch out and when it is getting transferred to SRM shopping cart, we could see only one item in the shopping cart. We are facing this issue with only one punch out.
While trasnfering item(s) from this punch out, we are getting the message "Number of external bid is empty" in SLG1 log. I have checked the XML file sent by the punch out and there I could see all the items that has been selected. But once it gets transfered to SRM shopping cart, it is transfering only one item.
Not sure if this is a problem in SRM or punch out. If it is a problem in SRM then I hope it should occur with all the punch outs. But we are facing this issue with only one punch out.
I am trying to debug this process in SRM. For that I need to know the exact BADI or BAPI which is receiving the items from punch out. Could you please help me in that?
Also I would like to know, is there anything would happen after the XML file has been generated in punch out and before it has been received by OCI.
We are in SRM 4.0 with extended classic scenario.
    Thanks,
    Arun

    Dean,
We have implemented that BADI. As I mentioned earlier, problem is occuring with only one punch out we are using. With other punch outs it is working fine. More over, when I tried to debug through this BADI I am getting a dump error:
No additional external fashion for New ABAP debugger available
    What happened?
The ITS services u201Ebbpsc03" had to be interrupted because the WebAs sent the following error message.
Error message:  "No additional external fashion for New ABAP debugger available".  Message type:  "E"
    Error analysis
It became receive an error message of the WebAs.  For the reason picture of the error message (program:  u201ESAPMSSY3" Dynpro number:  131) no Template was found, must interrupted become the ITS services
therefore.  Remove if possible the mistake cause.  First if the mistake cause is removed and therewith the error message is sent by the WebAs no longer, again lauffähig is these ITS services.
Do you have any idea what the dump is?
    Thanks,
    Arun

  • OCI mapping for External Punch Out Catalog - SRM

    Dear SRM Gurus,
We are using SRM 7.0 Classic scenario.
We have a scenario to External punch out catalog. I am  aware of Web service call structure, UI config and  BADIs.
But I am very much confused that how exactly the External Catalog data will be mapped to SRM? Where would be the inbound OCI mapping done for External Punch out catalog.
    Kindly share your knowledge.
    Thanks.
    Regarsd, Magesh.

    Magesh,
The OCI field mapping is done as specified in OCI 4.0 specification. If you like technical details on exactly where the mapping happens, you can search for FM OCI. Also, the CATALOG_TRANSFER BADI can be used to read the data that has been mapped and change if needed.

  • Interview questions for oracle dba

Hi I am trying to find teh interview questions for oracle dba .
What will be your answer to the following questions. Can somebody shed some light...
. What is the day to day duties of oracle dba?
    ·     Did you use online or off-line backups?
    ·     What version of Oracle were you running?
    ·     Haw many databases and what sizes?
    ·     If you have to advise a backup strategy for a new application, how would you approach it and what questions will you ask?
    ·     If a customer calls you about a hanging database session, what will you do to resolve it?
    ·     Compare Oracle to any other database that you know. Why would you prefer to work on one and not on the other?
    Thx
    KK

. What is the day to day duties of oracle dba?
I have got a checklist, designed for my daily, weekly, fortnightly and monthly tasks. For example, in the daily checklist tasks, I check for the alert log file, competion and correction of my exports and operating system backups. DB space situation, Antivirus status, standby database status, space on disks, any rogue queries etc.
    · Did you use online or off-line backups?
    Both.
    · What version of Oracle were you running?
    8i(not any more), 9i, 10g
    · Haw many databases and what sizes?
8 databases, ranging from 1 TB to 10 GB. I have segregated them into OLTP production, testing, cm, and development and a Datawarehouse.
    · If you have to advise a backup strategy for a new application, how would you approach it and what questions will you ask?
How much they could afford to lose data or they want zero data loss and also I will get their requirements about down time and up time of database.
    · If a customer calls you about a hanging database session, what will you do to resolve it?
First I will identify it, then see to it what exactly it is doing, capture that situation and then either try to release the locks(if its a blocking or blocked session), or kill the session, if its hanging on a runaway query.
    · Compare Oracle to any other database that you know. Why would you prefer to work on one and not on the other?
Oracle passes the ACID rule with distinction as compared to the other databases. Moreover, the multiversion read consistency, recovery, flexibility and challenges of Oracle are matchless.

    Hi Mark,
Thank u for quick ur reply.
Doc #396057.1 (SuSE 10.2 OS issue) --> This note says "The archiver is getting stuck with ORA-19502 and ORA-27061", whereas in my case I'm not getting any ORA- errors in alert log nor anywhere but only getting these warnings in dbwr trace files that is also intermittently.
I have consulted my system team in regards to disk I/O they said we are using very high end storage and there are no errors or warnings in the OS system logs.
    # 415872.1 --> this note says "HUNG DATABASE INSTANCE IF LINUX KERNEL MISS AIO REQUEST". This is not the situation in our case.

I'm unable to find anything which points to my situation, pls help.
