Questions on PO attachments

Hi Gurus,
Is there any possibility to restrict the viewing or editing of attachments in PO, unless it belongs to the purchasing group.
Is there any commands which will enable this in SAP?
Thanks.

Hi
With Document management system DMS, you can control authorizations.
Other wise you can try to map this with some userexit.I am not usre on this.

  • Yosemite Mail displays image attachments as question marks if attachments also contain a pdf

We have 11 macs running Yosemity in our company and I have the following problem with Mail since upgrading.
If an email is created in Mail and both images (jpg) and pdf's are attached to that mail, the recipient will see the images displayed as question marks, but the pdf show as icon as it should. This is only on mac. Other clients see the attachments properly.
This also appears to be the case when receiving email from others using outlook. When the email contains both images (even in signatures) and pdf files, the images displays as question marks and the pdf display as icon or previewed as normal.
    Any suggestions?
Displaying remote images in HTML emails are ticked, but this is attached images, not remote images.
When sending the pdf only - displays correctly
When sending the images only - displays correctly

I found a solution here and it worked for me. It doesn't go back to old messages that are already in your inbox and correct the issue, but any new messages that come in will show images:

  • Attachments problems with iMessage - Question marks, empty attachments

    Hello,
I am having a new problem and am looking for advice.  I'm using iMessage across multiple devices - iPhone 6 on iOS 8.1.1, iMac on OS 10.10.1, and iPad Air on iOS 8.1.  I recently, within the past two weeks, upgraded my OS on the iMac to Yosemite.  The problem is that all the attachments... pictures, videos, vCards.. are showing as empty attachments in my iMessage history.  I often refer to my message history for these pictures and files, and the files are not showing any more on my phone.  The images show an outline with a question mark and the vCards don't open at all.  Interestingly, I upgraded my wife's macbook air to Yosemite in the same time frame and she is having the same problem with her iPhone on iOS 8.1.  The craziest part of all this is that the attachments all show up just fine when I open messages on the iMac.  However, I rarely use messages on the iMac so having the attachments there is of no use to me.  I need to be able to see the attachments on my phone.  I have tried logging out of iMessage on my phone and on the iMac.
I have searched the boards for answers and have not found a concise answer.  Any help is much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Logan

Bump.. Any help would be awesome.  This problem is driving me nuts.
    Thanks,

  • Question re: File Attachments

In my app, I have a Topic a user fills out (subject and body) and they need to be able to attach a file to the topic (one or more) much like in email. I set up a table that will accept the file as a blob and also accept a URL string (in case the user puts the file up on another server). Also there's a Display Name field for a title for the attachment. When the user submits the Topic and it is thereafter viewed as an entry by another user (as a reader) I want the Display Name of the attached file(s) to act as hyperlinks to the file attachments themselves (either as an uploaded file within the current app, or as a link to an uploaded file elsewhere). I do not want a choice field in my Topic to pick an attachment, but rather have a file upload control in the Topic form view or in another form view just for the attachment. Ideas? Advise? I am using JDev 10.1.3.1 and JHeadstart 10.1.3 with Oracle 10g.
    Thanks!!!
    Ginni

    Ginni,
This is also documented in the JHeadstart Developers Guide, chapter 3, section "File Upload, File Download, Showing Image Files, and Playing Audio Files".
Note that this functionality requires an ORDSYS.ORDDOC column type rather than a BLOB, since ADF only support file upload with intermedia types.

  • PO Line item attachments going along with the PO o/p to Vendor!

    Hi all,
We are on SRM 5.0 ECS SP 13.
I had one question regarding the attachments in the PO line items. If I attach documents at the PO Line item and sent the PO o/p to vendior through e-mail,then all the attachments at the PO line item also go along with the o/p..Is this is  a  std behaviour in SRM 5.0?
Also if i need to avoid sending of the PO line item attachments along with the PO o/p to the vendor, then I guess the "Internal" indicator for the documents need to be set rt?Is there any way the documents at the PO line item can be set as "INTERNAL"?
I know this is achived in SRM 6.0 and above and there is an OSS note which mentions that.
Has anybody worked on something similar? Please share your eperiences/suggestions.
    Thanks!

    HI,Rads:
I think you should do the inhancements in this situation. I met this question in my last case .Follow is my suggestions ,maybe helpful .
        The   BADI NAME:BBP_OUTPUT_CHANGE_SF(Document Output)
YOU should chage the code .If you do 't  send the attachment to the vendor ,you should set "Space ",jut like this :
      WHEN 'BUS2200'.
          CV_SMARTFORM = 'ZBBP_BID_INVITATION'.
          CV_SMARTFORM_MAIL = 'ZBBP_OUTPUT_COVER'.
          "exclude attachment
          CS_PARAMETERS-ATTACH_IND = SPACE.
Then  the attachment will not been sent out ,you can try .
    Alex !

  • Attachments of type "Document Reference" in OAF

    Hi frnds,
I have a question on viewing attachments in OAF. We have some documents attached to PO and the document type is "Document Reference" in fnd_documents. These documents are stored in the content management server, not in fnd_lobs, so fnd_documents table has a reference to the file path (DM_FOLDER_PATH column in fnd_documents has the URL path for the documents with DM_TYPE as FILE). MEDIA_ID and URL values are blank. I was wondering how can we display these documents in the advanced table. I have tried with AttachmentImage but it doesn't pull these files; it pulls only those documents which have an entry in fnd_lobs. How can we fetch these documents and while clicking the file name, forward to the content management server?
    Appreciate your help on this.
    Thanks
    Shree

Thanks Pratap. I cannot use attachmentImage or attachmentTable region for this though. I was hoping if any existing objects/item types can be used directly without any modifications.
    Thanks

  • What is the problem with Mail on macs? attachments specifically

I have had problems forever with mac mail and its compatibility with PCs, but never majorly, i expected it to get better as macs progressed over the years, became more mainstream etc etc, but it appears, to me atleast, to actually be worse now on my new imac with mavericks...
Now one thing with Mac Mail i have always noticed, but not quite understood is the way when attaching images etc, they appear in the message rather than as a seperate attachment to be opened or downloaded, while i can see advantages to this i have always found it a bit strange.
When sending these messages it was only a hand full of people who probably had no computer knowledge who seemed to struggle with finding/downlaoding and opening the image.
Now with the new Imac and mavericks, pretty much everyone i send an attachmed image (usually aslways a jpg) to emails me back to tell me one of the following:
    a) you have not attached the image
    b) can you send an image file (or jpg) please
    c) can you please re-send it as an attachment rather than in the main email.
Now I work in a media office so am sending a high volume of images to a large variety of people of varying degrees of computer literacy, and whilst  i cant see what they are seeing, I just cannot fathom how pretty much EVERY person i now send images to seems to have problems getting the attachment.
ive checked the 'windows friendly' option and tried to make the image appear as an icon by right clicking it to see if that helps, but needless to say it seems to make no difference.
Anyone else having these issues or know a fix?

I discovered a simple work-around that is successful (at this point in time anyways) on my IMAC/Maverick when sending attachments (not inline or embedded) to PC users.
There are several threads in here on why attachments embed in mac mail when sending to PCs, and I have had similar issues. Not sure where the fault lies, but other than purchasing an additional program to make mac mail work as other mail programs work when it comes to attachments, I found no real solution that worked for my business PC folks. I did all the right things - sent my attachments in mac mail "windows friendly,"  "plain text," and "attachments at the end" and still got complaints when sending to my pc workmates using Outlook.  I tried another suggestion I found here - zipping the files and sending the zipped file, but my workmates did not like that either and still asked why?
By trial and error I discovered that when I attach any pdf to the email as well as the questionable jpgs, the attachments arrive in their PC inbox as attachments that can be used as needed. I don't know why this works, but it has made sending attachments a happier task for my business group.
I would be interested to see if this works for others.

  • How can I get in contact(email) with people who answer my questions

    1

Not only is it still alive, it's busier than ever! A while ago, the moderator started sending out confirmation emails automatically every month to clean up inactive members - perhaps you were lost in the shuffle?
The Info-LabVIEW list is really strong, although I still find the "zone" useful for asking questions that require attachments to be posted...

  • Pass Work Order attachments to Workflow container

    Hi experts,
I have a question concerning passing attachments from Work Order to Workflow(or Task) container.
There are several files attached to Work Order in TCode IW32.
The files are attached directly and are saved on SAP server. Not via URL.
I have to send email in Workflow with these files attached to email, i.e. to pass them to workflow or task container.
If I use BO SOFM I need to get the path where the files are saved on SAP server.
How can I add these files as attachments to email?
    Thank you.
    Nina

    Hi,
Add a step in the workflow to add the attachment befer sending mail step.
Two thing you need to know.
    1. Workflow workitem id
    2. attachment name and location.
Now first upload the attchment to workitem id through FM SAP_WAPI_ATTACHMENT_ADD.
Then make the binding between the workflow container and mail step for &_ATTACH_OBJECTS&.
after this attachment will be available in the mail.
    Thanks and regards,
    SNJY

  • ? about keeping files in original order when sending attachments

Hi there, I have a question about sending attachments. Is it possible for the files/folders to remain in the order that I have originally put them in my documents etc...? When I go to send an attachment it automatically rearranges the folders in alphabetical order. Can anything be done to prevent or over ride this function? BTW: I have the new macbook with leopard.

  • Candidate attachments

    Hi All,
I have a question regarding Candidate attachments and questionnaires. My Customer has a requirement to append all Candidate attachments plus data from the Candidate overview smartform plus questionnaire information into one file.
    However performance is an issue.
Does anyone have experience with a report that includes these data from the Candidate/application?
Doe anyone have comments on expected performance?
    Thanks

  • Attachments, iPhone & Tethering

    Hi!
I am a happy owner of an iPhone 3GS (3.0), and I have a question about mail attachments. What I know until now? First: mail can't save attachments except known files (pics, for example), and I've read this throughout the forum. Second: my provider disabled tethering!
Yes, you read that all-right: my phone company (Vodafone, BTW) has disabled tethering with the iPhone data pack, and it seems that it provides a scarce 250MB data plan for "phones as modems". So, I get to my question.
Is there any way of downloading somehow mail attachments without tethering? And by any, I really do mean any! Be it an application, or a Voodoo rite, I don't care! Paying extra $30 for 250MB is really out of question!
    Thanks to all of you!
PS. No, I don't consider jailbreaking an option.

Thanks! I'll definitely give AirSharing a try!
Just to be sure if I understand... I can use AirSharing to transfer even email attachments? If this is the case, I owe you one!

  • Get file attachment list

I need a script that on file open will get the names of all attachments and add them to a listbox.

    Hi,
Perform the following steps to create a multi-file attachment in InfoPath:
Add a Repeating Table with 1 column to your InfoPath form template.
Go to the Data Source task pane and double-click the field under the repeating node for the Repeating Table.
Change the Data type to Picture or File Attachment (base 64) and click OK.
Right-click the field in the Repeating Table on the InfoPath form template, and select Change To, and then File Attachment from the context menu that appears.

  • I have an InfoPath with submit button, publish the same to form library.

    Hi All,
i have an InfoPath with submit button, publish the same to form library.
Now, i open the form  fill it and attach some files, when i press submit button, that attachments will go to the particular document library.
Can any one help me out.
    Thanks in Advance!

    Hi Anil,
According to your description, my understanding is that the attachments attached to the form were submitted to an documents library.
By default, the attachments should be attached with the InfoPath form and will not be submitted anywhere.
There may be some customizations on the form that is to submit the attachments to the document library.
Please check the links below if the customizations are made in the form.
