Hi Gurus,
I have a list of questions regarding the Implementation of Supplier Self Registration scenario in SRM 7.0 using ROS component
1)     Is it possible the implementation of ROS without SUS? If yes, is it mandatory the utilization of XI? If yes, what would it be the reason for utilization of XI?
2)     In ROS it is possible to define different kind of qualification questionnaires depending on the Category Id choosen by the potential supplier during the Self Service Registration; Is it possible to influence the content of a questionnaire so to have different questions depending on other information inserted by the Potential Supplier (e.g. different kind of Supplier u2013> different questions: eg set of questions 1 for manufacturer and set of questions 2 for a law office)? If Not, are there BADIs able to influence the standard behaviour?
3)     In the standard system the questionnaire can be category dependent: My question is: is it possible to define different questionnaires for different level of Material Group Hierarchies?
4)     Is it possible to define Workflows for evaluation of questionnaires sent by the Potential Supplier? (E.g. before qualifying a Supplier the questionnaire must be evaluated 1° by the Purchasing Department 2° by the technical specialist 3° Finance and so on). If Not, is there something like a BADI allowing the implementation of a complex Workflow at the end of which we have the Qualification of the Supplier?
5)     Is it possible (always according to the standard functionality) to allow the evaluator of a Questionnaire to assign a score to the single value of the answer given by the Supplier or to the Entire Questionnaire?
6)     Is there an automatic update of the SRM EBP Object u2018Vendor Listu2019 when a Supplier is qualified for a certain category id?
7)     When a Supplier is qualified for a Product Category , how the Supplier Master Data is created in SRM-EBP? Do we need XI?
8)     How can the same supplier transferred to ERP system? Is there an automatic way to transfer the information from ROS->EBP->ERP?
a.     If Yes, do we need XI to manage the Master Data transmission from EBP to ERP?
b.     If not, how can I create the Supplier Master Data in ERP?
i.     Manually and then transfer if (via BBPGETVD) to SRM-EBP? (how can the system create a match between the ERP number and the SRM Number - only according to the address data? -)
ii.     Manually creation in ERP and then (always manually, maintaining the ERP number in the EBP Supplier Master data?)

How about defining dummy categories like manufacture and law office?
or 1 questionnaire has all questions and desctiption navigates to next, like if Yes go to Q5.

One question about ROS ()

HI,my experts:
   I work in SRM7.0 .I have 2 clients in my system .Client 100 -EBP ;Client 200-ROS (SUS). The both clients are on the same server .
   Now ,1、I have create new ORG. in ROS Client ,and create user who is also in the EBP client.
             2、I change the role "SAP_BBP_STAL_STRAT_PURCHASER" ,"ROS_PRESCREEN" and sap-client 200;
             3、spro --Define External Web Services
Now ,the question is :after submiting the questionnaire by the vendor ,the static purchaser can not find none data by "Pre-select Supplier" under the "Central Functions".

Can't find the registered vendor in the EBP

Dear ，my experts ;
   I work in SRM 7.0 . SAP_ABA: SAPKA70103. I am in the ROS scenario.
   I have two clients on the same server .100 Client is EBP system ,and the other 300 client is SUS system .
Now ,I have one question about ROS . I have done all the configurations according the ROS cookbook . But ,I can not find the vendor registered in 300 client through the ,like this :
The, I canu2019t find any new vendor in the following screen. I am sure that there are some vendor registered in the client 300.
      empty!
I think I can find the new vendor in the SUS system ,but I can not ,I do not know why .
I have finished the configuration about role u201CZSAP_EC_BBP_ST_PURCHASERu201D,like:
ros_prescreen/main.do?sap-client=300&sap-user=st_pur02&sap-password=initial
PS: the user st_pur02 is in the client 300 . (this user in client 300 created through transaction users_gen )

Mac OS X thinks Dreamweaver is a PowerPC program

I have a new Retina Macbook Pro running OS X 10.8.2 Mountain Lion.
I bought Adobe Creative Suite 6 Teacher and Student Edition in July 2012 and installed it on the Macbook, but now when I try to launch Dreamweaver I get the error message:
"You can't open the application "Adobe Dreamweaver CS6" because PowerPC applications are no longer supported."
Obviously Dreamweaver CS6 is not a PowerPC application! I have searched for help on the Adobe and Apple websites, as well as on the web generally and I can find no solution to this problem.
Please can anybody help?

It's not the first time I've run it, but it is the first time since I had to reinstall the OS (a Mountain Lion update caused the laptop to freeze continuously and Apple Support advised me to reinstall completely).
I will definitely try your suggestion - I've used CS Cleaner before and it solved an installation problem for me so that sounds promising. I can't reinstall for a week unfortunately as we are currently in Thailand so I don't have the DVD with me!

SRM, ROS and SUS scenario question

Hello Experts,
We are in the process of implementing MDM, ROS, EBP and SUS scenario in our present project. I went through the documentation. I have couple of questions.
1. Do we need to have seperate clients for ROS and SUS. What is the best practise.
2. Since we have SUS, once I transfer BP from ROS to EBP, check the portal vendor box, I would like to know how the registration code will be sent to supplier. Do we need to create the userid in EBP or with the receipt of registration code supplier will be able to create his first initial userid? Also how we can implement this with CUA and EP as part of landscape?
3. Also since we have MDM, how the new BP information can be migrated or mapped in MDM and how new BP can be sent to backend system? I understand there is BP monitor to check and approve the changes, but how the new BP will be transferred? Do we need to develop new XI message for this? if Yes, from where that can be managed? from EBP or MDM?.
I searched through help.sap.com for any documentation but no success.

2.For supplier registration,SUS is not mandatory.You need to configure ROS for this scenario.The extrenal vendors will register in ROS and then be replicated to R/3.
You can use EBP only for Supplier registration.
SUS,ROS and Bidding engine make up the SRM server 5.5/EBP component of SRM 5.0.

ROS Vendor question submission problem

We are trying to do Vendor Registration with SUS-EBP.
Problem 1
When vendor submits inital data, system gives message "Logged in" in next web screen. Instead of std message. But Buyer can see that vendor registration for approval/Rejection
Problem 2
Vendor gets mail of the questions, for which he has selected product category. How vendor will submit this question ?. When we open vendor mail id & try to send questions with send button nothing happens.

Even we are facing a similar problem (unable to receive response from supplier ROS questionnaire in SAP). I would like to know which email ID (with which domain) we need to provide in SO50. Since currently we are in sandpit client. I have set my company email id in my user SU01 as well as SO50 setting. Also the supplier Email address in ROS questionnaire is the same.
However with the single entry as below in SO50 does not send the questionnaire to my company email ID.
InternetMail nitin(at)xyz.com * CL_UWS_FORM_RUNTIME_MAIL 1
I still wonder how system would forward the mail that come to my company email address to SAP user mail box. Where do we need to set the SRM mail server ID to receive responses in SAP?
I think I am missing some configuration.

1) Is there any portal role with standard menu to create surveys and questionnaires or the buyer has to log in to SRM GUI every time to create them?
2) Is the supplier self registration URL, always an ITS type URL <server: port/ bc/sap> or it could be through SAP Portal
3) Can there be any workflow possible in ROS, other than the Simple accept or Reject vendor.
4) Can details like Address & D&B number be validated when the supplier enters them by self or as a response to questionnaire
5) How do I generate a Business partner in SRM from a supplier who has just filled in his questionnaire. What if the details like Address etc are not entered by the supplier. Can I enter them manually before pulling the supplier into SRM

There is no portal role to create surveys/questionnaires. This is a one time SPRO activity.

Supplier self registration URL is basically a BSP page (ROS_SELF_REG). This BSP page can be embedded in the home page of the company for visibility to new suppliers.
3) Can there be any workflow possible in ROS, other than the Simple accept or Reject vendor.
What kind of a workflow are you looking at? It is possible to have custom workflows while accepting/rejecting a supplier.
4) Can details like Address & D&B number be validated when the supplier enters them by self or as a response to questionnaire
It is generally not recommeded to play with the ROS_SELF_REG BSP page which houses details like D&B number etc....however with the help of a skilled ABAPer you can indeed implement validations and checks. (Very cumbersome activity)

You can accept this supplier and then transfer it from the internal directory to SRM application to create a BP in SRM. If you wish to make the details like address mandatory, then you might implement the validations in the BSP page as explained earlier. Alternatively you can enter it manually as well after confirming it offline with the supplier.

Santa rosa ram question

I was wondering which ram bank was bank 1 and which was bank 0. when I upgraded my ram I get one bank that won't recognize the ram. I know it is not the ram because when I change the spots the ram are in then it shows up in the other spot. any help as to what i can do to get both ram banks working would be great.

You cannot change your Rescue email after you have forgotten your Security Questions. That would sort of defeat the purpose. Contact iTunes Support to have them reset:

Two questions about my "new" used Macbook

Hello everyone,
I recently bought a Macbook for my wife from craigslist. It is a early 2008 model (http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook/stats/macbook-core-2-duo-2.2-white -13-late-2007-santa-rosa-specs.html). I have two questions regarding its use.
1. I know a video adapter is available for these computers. Is there a cable that can connect the video out on the macbook to a TV that has only a RCA input?
2. I noticed (a little late) that the mouse button on the trackpad is a little chintzy. It takes quite a bit of effort to press the button and it appears to stick a little. I currently have the trackpad configured to accept clicks, however I would like to fix the button if possible. Has anyone had any success with changing the mouse button?

Thanks for the response. I went to the apple store and picked up the cable yesterday. It works perfectly. I cleaned the area around the trackpad button a little and it seems to have eased a little. I will try putting the piece of paper in there and see if it gets better.
I have a follow up question regarding the video out to a CRT TV. Does anyone know what resolution works best for this kind of low-tech TV? I tried 800X600 and 1024X768 last night and neither one seemed TV-like. Should I try a lower resolution? I am trying to stream hulu from my computer directly into my TV.

Looking to purchase a macbook pro, and i've got a few questions

I know some of these questions have been asked before, but i'm just trying to get all that information together...
I really don't want to purchase a macbook pro - only for a new one to be announced a week later - the few people i've talked to say this is unlikely due to space and heat constraints within a case any smaller than it is currently... what do you guys think?
The display issue... i work in graphic design, using quark, photoshop etc and i am unusre as to wether the glossy is better than the matte? if anyone works in the same type of feild and can give me their opinions on what they have, wether they are happy with it etc?
Battery... a lot of the time i will be using the laptop plugged into a second monitor, i was always taught to use run the battery down and then plug it in to charge to avoid damaging the battery life, is this an issue anymore? i'd really like to use it plugged in in this situation, and only unplug it when i need to be mobile, will i then find the battery is rubbish because i've used it plugged in all the time? what do you guys do?

if you want an idea of if an update is possibly on the horizon, macrumors.com has a buyer's guide. of course it's based on nothing more than speculation, but what they do is calculate if an update is likely to be coming, and when, which is worked out from the history of how often a particular model has been updated in the past. I've never used it myself, but it looks like it might be useful at least as a guide.
at any rate, if you need a machine now, or soon, there's not a lot to be gained by waiting. looking at intel's roadmap for what's next in terms of notebook CPUs, the 'santa rosa' chip is due to be released in about a month I think. it is obviously going to be a step forward, as usual, with probably lower power consumption and less heat, no surprises there. also from what I've read, it will top out at 2.4Ghz which is not a great deal more than the 2.33Ghz max of the core 2 duo available now. I also read that it will have double the cache size of the current chips, which will have a positive impact on performance. and it's also possible, though I haven't read it, that machines using this CPU may be able to have more than 3GB of RAM. if any of this is life-changing for you, then I suppose you could wait. how long a wait it will be, no one can say.
as for the display.. I would go for matte. traditionally that's what visual pros opt for, so it's probably the safer bet. but check them out and see what you like.. bearing in mind that glossy is far more susceptible to ambient light changes, so your experience of working may vary a great deal in different light conditions.
as for battery cycling.. you can stay on power the whole time you work. just make sure to do a power cycle about once a month to ensure a healthy battery. there are detailed instructions for this at apple support, it's not the same technique as for powerbooks.
