Questions on stores in iProcurement

All,
I have a couple of questions on setting up stores in iProcurement -
1. Oracle comes seeded with 2 stores of "Main Store" and "Exchange.Oracle.com". We do not have use for these stores. I do not see an option to disable them. Is it advisable to delete them? They occupy unnecessary space and are seen first. I read this on Metalink Note ID 429470.1 - "NOTE: While the value can be edited, it is strongly recommended to not under any circumstances ever delete "Main Store" from Stores page of Manage Content in iProcurement Catalog Administrator responsibility." Not sure why.
2. We have a Punchout catalog store for Dell US and an Informational Catalog for Dell International. The Dell purchasers come to iProcurement to either punchout to place Dell orders for US (shopping cart comes back to iProcurement) - or - just use the Dell International store to go to an outside URL and place their orders there (which do not come back to iProcurement). What we see is - when the user clicks on the Dell US icon, he is directly taken to the Dell punchout URL but when he clicks on the Dell International icon, he is first taken to the available catalogs list for the store (only 1 catalog available) and then the user has to click again on the Dell International link. Is there a way to configure the Dell International icon to behave the way the Punchout icon behaves - i.e. directly take the user to the Dell page without a need to show the list of catalogs.

To answer your Questions
1. You can always delete Either Ones if you want.. The reason Meta link Notes Say not to delete the Main Store is
i. Because Main Store has All Local Contents in iProcurement(i.e. If you have any Items Setup in You Inventory Module and have them iProcurement Enabled (i.e can be Purchased from iProcurement) and any other Local Catalogs/Categories item Loaded using BULK LOAD in iProcurement will also be deleted.
ii. You can Always Delete the Oracle Exchange Store if you are not using it.
So i would advise Not to delete the main store . Instead You can change the Sequence of the Display of the stores in you iProcurement Page.
Navigation ==> Internet Procurement Catalog Admin(RESP) ==>eContent manger ==> Manage Contents ==> Stores ==> Press the Button Update Sequence and make sure the Sequnce number for main is Higher than any other Store so that the Main Store Falls last in the iProcurement Home Page
2.I don't think there is any option to Do this. but you Can always open a SR with Oracle about this and ask this question\

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

I want to buy the palm pixi plus with an american express gift card but it is not available in best buy stores (only online).
Is it possible that i can ship it to a store near me and then pay for it there with the gift card?

You can use the american express gift card online. No you can't do store pickup and then pay for it when you get there but you can ship it to the store or to your home and just pay for it online with the amer. express gc.

Few questions about Stor.E TV+

Hi,
bought the gadget yesterday (to be used as a media server on my network).
Then I ran into some problems:
- There is no TV connected and using the remote to setup the device proves a bit hard. The only web interface is a sample cgi script to calculate two numbers :-). Are there plans to enhance the web interface?
- The main hard disc is there (SYSTEM HDD, no file structure), but when I try to copy audio files using the remote it says copying ... forever, yet does not do anything. Is that behaviour known?
- Very often the device seem to be stuck (no reaction to actions on the remote) ...
I don't know how to read the current firmware version, but I guess I have a very early version of it. Is there an update available (I searched the Toshiba website, but haven't found one)?

as far as I know, there are no plans to enhance the web interface.
I think Toshiba will only enhance something, if there are any big issues.
For navigation, the internal display of the StorE TV+ is ok, but for the setup you should connect it to a TV.
Regarding the "no reaction to actions on the remote control", maybe the StorE TV+ is only a little bit slow, but it shows a reaction.
Use the right arrow key to go into the subfolders. If this makes no difference, set the StorE TV+ to default settings.
Go to the menu, choose "Setup" - "System" - "Restore Default".
After this the audio files copy-issue should be solved, also.
To see the firmware version, go to the menu and choose "Setup" - "System" - "System Update".
Youre right. At the moment there are no fw update available.

Some issues and questions about StorE TV

Hi there! I bought stor.e tv a week ago and there are number of issues, in order of personal importance:
1. It slows down audio playback. It happens when playing standard mp.3s on my home stereo through the analogue outlet - my music sounds bizarre, slowed-down and with lowered frequency. I have to go back change, settings to HDMI output (normal speed play, no problem), then change again to analog, scroll through the folders to find the song I want to play and play it again - voila, it works normally. Quite a complex way to play a song properly, don't you think?!
2. When there are ID tags (especially album art) to the songs it takes ages to shift from one song to the next.
3. Audio settings are often forgotten after the unit has been shut down normally from the remote control only - you switch it on again and it's not how I left it but back to HDMI. So, I have to remember any time checking the settings before playing a song?! Even though, in a crooked way, that^s helpful having in mind problem 1.
4. Does not display correctly Cyrillic subtitles.
5. Heats quite a lot.
There are other things too (no playlists, slow, lagging, etc). I am actually writing that just before going back to the shop and ask for my money back.

Yes, this was mentioned in other threads seems that not all subtitles are supported.

Regarding the other issues;
I think you should try to reset the E Store TV to default again and should check how it works.
In many cases this helps to solve such annoying issues.

Question regarding store pickup...

I show the phone in my shopping cart, but I had ordered it to be picked up in store...i printed out the screen page that confirmed in-store pickup but have not received an email yet....is it normal to show the phone in my shopping cart? Or is it in the shopping cart for me to have it shipped home?

As already provided, you'll need a credit card with verified billing address, in the country whose Apple online store you plan to use. Note that as a general rule, your order will be held for two days after received at the store. If you fail to pickup in that time frame, your order will most likely be canceled. You can try contacting the store manager directly if you know for sure you will not be able to pickup in that time frame. You can also designate someone else to pickup the order for you.

Easy Question, online store Qty purchase

I need a bit of help, and I'm not quite proficient in CF
really.
I have built a registration system in CF, which has three
steps (pages). On the last step, you can choose to return to Step 1
and register another person, OR you can choose to Pay Now.
I wanted to use session variable or cookies (I'm not really
certain of the difference) to have the system count silently the
number of times a visitor has gone through, and then when they do
hit "Pay Now", to multiply the variable count X the cost per
ticket.
This is what I have been doing:
on
Step 1, I define the variable session.Quantity with:

Step 2, we gather final registration info, and right after
the Insert statement, I increase the value of the session.Quantity

NOW, this has been working just fine during my testing,
UNLESS you close down the browser mid stream (and happen to have

pay and the session variable didn't get deleted.
THEN, when you return to the Step 1 again (20min) later,
because you want to do the registration over again, after your
first registration pass, you are already on session.Quantity = 4
(example).
OK, so I am a bit green, and I don't know much about the
application.cfm process (mine is below) or CFLOCK usage, but I
think this is part of my issue. I've read so much, and am now so
confused. Can someone give some clear advice and example that I
could work through, pertinent to this problem.

Looking for a better way to count responses to survey questions

Hello all - I've created a survey for a site and now want to display the results for the site admins. I am simply trying to display the counts - the number of times a question has been answered a certain way. I realize that I may need to construct the survey itself differently and how it stores the data, but here's how it goes so far.
There are 10 questions, each with 4 options in radio button groups. The database table has a column for each question and stores the value of the selected radio button. So that's pretty simple.
Now on the results page this is the only way I can think of doing it, but there has to be a better way. For each response, I create a recordset filtered on the question and option value, then display the total record count. That works just fine, but to count each option, that means 40 recordsets on the page - al to merely determine "How many times was Question 1, Option A selected, and How many times was Question 1, Option B selected, and so on.
The only other thing I can think of, there perhaps is a better way to count the occurrences of these values in the table either with PHP or in the SQL itself. Or, perhaps if the values themselves are all numeric and follow some sort of pattern I can use a math solution.
Any thoughts, solutions and ideas are welcome! Thanks.

I used this format before actually for an exam in an online training program, and I don't know why I didn't make the connection.
I also want to connect the responses to the participant, but I think that would even be secondary to the survey itself.
So just to clarify, if you would, I would have a survey table l like I do now, with each survey generating an ID with each one and perhaps the user info or a column for User ID. Then, the questions table each with an ID to populate the questions, a options table, each with its own ID and linked to the questions that populate the options.
Finally a responses table that records the Survey ID, Question ID and Option ID with each record.
In the exam I did before, the questions and responses were in the same table, so I suppose I could make it work that way too. But, now I know why I didn't think of this - unlike the exam where each question was presented one at a time, the survey is on a single page and would require a multiple record insert - which I haven't done as much as single inserts, so it didn't pop into the head.

I would also suggest you consider completing a Wish Form to advise
Adobe you need a reliable way of collecting data that doesn't
involve a full blown LMS. It would be nice if they would create
some way to easily capture that information in something like a
Microsoft Access database.

GP Card Spec2.1 -- Some questions

After i read the GP Card Spec 2.1, i get something confused,
maybe these questions appear somewhere in GP21 spec and i lost it,
if so, forgive me.
below are my questions:
1. is each Executable Load File loaded on the card needs to associate itself to
a Security Domain? if didn't specify the Security Domain AID when Upload file,
is it associated to the Issuer Security Domain?
2. the APDU command "PUT KEY", and "STORE DATA"
where do the keys actually put to? i mean, if i select my Application, and issue the
"PUT KEY" command, where does the key actually store?
should i write a process method to deal with this command and store it by myself?
the same question as STORE DATA.
3. the Open Platform Environment seems like Java Card's JCRE, is it?
the spec says not recommand to associate Applications with Issuer Security Domain,
but it seems not so easy to write my own Security Domain, are there documents or
example source codes about writing Security Domains?

How to create 'Flashlight' LOV in iProcurement

Hi
We have a need to create a LOV with flashlight functionality under Non-Catalog Request store in iProcurement.
Can someone assist with how I can find out which OAF components to modify to achieve this? Or if I can get the steps to implement this it would be very much appreciated!
Requirement:
The Flashlight has to appear in a field (Employee) which in turn will be in a separate region (created by using the Information Templates functionality of core purchasing). This field (Employee) in the additional information section will only be visible for data entry in this region based on a 'specific value' selected in a different field. If this 'specific value' is not selected, the default will not display this 'additional information' region on this page.

Do you want to just create a flashlight icon or an LOV component? If its LOV, did you go through the LOV section of OAF Dev guide to know about the component. Its just the way you have highlighted the Flashlight word, which makes me think that your side of homework is not done :)
