Queue in sxmb_moni?

hi forum...
i can see Queue ID...in the sxmb_moni....
during trouble shooting i encounter problem with the queue...
can i get detailed information ... what queues are...
are there outbound and inbound queues both....
why are queues sometime shows "STOP".. message in the MONI entry
what is the concept of queue

A queue in XI, is very similar to your real-life one, where messages are in the status, for inbound( coming into XI) or outbound( leaving XI) processing. The queues in XI can be seen in ur transaction smq1 and smq2

<b>why are queues sometime shows "STOP"</b>
means message is stuck in q. In SXMB_MONI click on the queue name and drill down. There you can find the reason for the error

  • How to clear outbound Queue in  SXMB_MONI

    > There is no URL in SXMB_ADM, how to provide an url there, and even before we didn't get this problem as the files are successfully processsing for the past 3 months in PDN, and now we are getting this problem.
    >
    Hello,
I have understood your problem but you are not following the steps which we are mentioning here.
For your above problem you need to follow ONLY step no1 & 2 mentioned in the blog since steps are common for acitvating the proxy and thats way you are getting confused that why I am asking you to follow that blog.
In the blog step 1 will simply help you creat the RFC destination.
Step 2 will help you to use the above RFC destinaiton as an url.
In opionion if you resolve this problem first then it will be easier to solve your queue problem.
Please let me know if you need more help/clarification in this regard i will help you.

  • Sxmb_moni exception in queue - noinst

    Hi,
I've got an exception condition on one of my queues in sxmb_moni, when looking at the queue I see the following error - Exeption condition "NOINST" raised. The transaction in the error message is SXMB_MONI and the program is "RSXMB_SELECT_MESSAGES".
I tried to delete the entry from the queue and then resending it but got the same error again.
Any help or explanation of the error will be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Liesel

    Hi,
Try to "Execute LUW" and unlock queue.
You can also activate and deactivate queue:
    SXMB_ADM->Queue Management.
If this problem  is related to queue then it will be solved here else try to read trace in SXMB_MONI and see where the problem is.

  • Document on the queues

    Hi
we have recently installed the SAP 7.0.. just been wondering like if any one document on how to set up the queues and what are main points we need to be considered while configuring the queues..
    SV

    1)  clear the queues in SMQ2,first try to activate them,if that doesn't work them delete them
2)You may need to re-register your queues.
Follow SXMB_ADM -> Manage Queues -> Deregister Queues
Afterwards, re-register the queues and activate from the same screen
3)Only use SMQ1 (outbound queues) and SMQ2 (inbound queues) if re-registering doesn't fix it. You will need to give the queues sometime to get activated so be patient.
4)From SXMB_MONI go to Queue ID of the message, a click here shall take you to qRFC monitor.
if the messages are stuck, you should see an entry indicating number of messages stuck in the queue.
a double click on the entry shall take you to detailed list.
if the messages are stuck because of any error (other than queue not registered etc for e.g. a message failure) then the first message shall show you that.
if indeed you find a message stuck in the queue then the way is to delete the stuck message (DONT DO THIS IN PRODUCTION SERVER without being sure of what does this mean for that particular process !!) and unlock the queue from previous screen.
5)Go to smq2 and execute F8. Then it should come as Nothing was Selected.
If any queues are present then open a queue.if the status is SYS ERROR check the entries, right click on the status text and give save LUW.This brings queue to READY. .
GoTo-> Qin Scheduler: check for the scheduler status to be inactive->Edit-> Activate Scheduler: status frm inactive to starting to wait. Now the queue will be RUNNING.U can see the entries in the queue moving.
Now go to SMQ3, right click on the queue and give Restore LUW.
6)this basically means tht message is waiting in the queue.
in sxmb_moni go to queue Id column and double click on the entry .It will take u to SMQ2.Check the status of the queue
If its SYSFAIL or STOP then double click on it and try to correct the error. After correcting the error send the message again. Also check whether the Queeu is Registred in transaction SMQR.
7)Select your queue form the sxmb_moni, you will reacht he QRFC monitor.
Here you will see some lock figures on the , Select on the 'Unlock Queues'. Activate your queues once again.
This is if your data is correct and queue is stuck. You should only delete the queue if it has errored out due to incorrect data and you need to urgenetly process the rest of the data in the queue.
If you drill down one step more than selct the error message and on the menu select edit-->Save LUW.

  • XML Messages stuck in Queues

    Hi Alls,
In PI 7.0 DEV server, under windows server 2003, I can see some Red Flags messages stick in Queues using SXMB_MONI, but how to Relased these messages... and now looks like J2EE Engine is keep restarting...
I tried SMQ1 and SMQ2 doesn't show any messages there... how may I release these messages from the que...
Please tell me step by step, you are expert guys, and tell me some tricks please
    Thanks in Advanced

    Hi,
Each failure that you see in SXMB_MONI has a reason why it failed.
If it is a data issue(eg: Cannot produce Target element which is mandatory etc), then you cannot reprocess them (Even if you reprocess them, they will fail again).
But if the messages have failed due to system issues like the Java Stack was down or connections are broken, then you can select all the messages that have failed and click on the Restart/Reprocess button in the application toolbar.
Then those errors might clear off if the systems /connections are up again.

  • SXMB_MONI - queue stopped

    Hi,
I am experiencing a problem with queues. After reading  similar situation, i don't really know I to solve it.
    The problem is the next:
    Scenario: IDOC--> XI --> FTP
When the Idoc is received in XI, there are about 15 Mappings to execute. When I have a look to the SXMB_moni I see all the mapping are stopped. The Q.Status is with the stop signal, and when I position the curson over the signal, the next text is displayed : "Queve Stopped".
I've read several similar threads, but I can not  understand the solution.
Could anyone explain me or give a good link in which I can hava a step by step guide of how to register the queue and/or how to solve this problem eventually.
    Thanks in advance.

    HI,
    Please see the below links
    Queue status = "stopped"

  • Message scheduled in SXMB_MONI(Queue status is stoped)

    Hi experts,
Here my scenario is Proxy to file. I am sending the 20 .. 30 ..messages at a time from ISU system using proxy to XI. In ISU sender system Under sxmb_moni some messages are failed with errors. after this all messages are in scheduled mode(this is not in XI). scheduled messages are not at all executing.. here i registered all queues.
Please give me the solution how to reprocess the messages.
    thanks
    Srinivas

    hi ,
    1) Here i am selected message processing mode EOIO. which one is good EO or EOIO for process the messages asynchronously. If i choose EOIO I have to give queue name right? What name i have to give?
    It depends on the requirement.
if your messages are related with the one another . means 2nd message will only process when 1st one is successfull.
    Then use EOIO.
and no dependency is there then use EO.
Naming convention is given is SAP library for sapxi.
For EOIO use like :- XBQO*
For EO use like :- XBTO*
    2) how to process again this messsages in receiver system. (I am doing using SMQ2 but this metthod is not for production system).
Now if duplicate entries are there then delete all those messages first. and if it is going in Database then Delete the wrong and duplicate entries in the Tabel first.
Then restart the right  messages. Goto SXMB_MONI then delete the duplicate messages.

  • SXMB_MONI - Message scheduled on outbound side (no queues)

    Hi All,
I currently have a problem on one of our XI systems.
In SXMB_MONI all the process messages have the outbound status of "Message scheduled on outbound side" (green flag). The interface is going into a BPM process.
There is nothing in the QRFC-Monitor or in the tRFC - SM58.
I have already registered all the queues.
The XBQO queue for the BPM processing is not being triggered. This process used to work on this system, but has now stopped.
    Any Ideas?
    Thanks,
    Matthew.

    1. check in sxi_cache. the return code of ur IP shud be 0.
    2. register q in smq2
    3. anylogs seen from PE in moni?
or use from pg 46 for troublkeshooting from below link:

Please help me with this issue...

    Queue Stopped
For your message processing in sxmb_moni...in the Qstatus column you will be seeing a red circle with stop written in it...
    ->double click it
->it will show you status of the Q....number of messages in the Q...
-> double-click on the number of entries
-> you will see a detailed report
-> double click on the first entry
-> you will see the message processing due to which the Q got blocked
-> on the toolbar above (in the same page) you will find the option of Restart...click it....select the tracing level as retain....
this will cause the message processing to restart and all the messages blocked in the Q will get processed....

    Abhishek.
