Queues Stopped when Dispatcher Fails

Hi ,
We had an issue with our Web dispatcher and most of the messages failed in the step "Receiver Grouping" with the error "HTTP_CLIENT_RECEIVE_FAILED" when calling the mapping runtime.
After sometime we also noticed the queues failing with the error "CLient receive failed:Queues stopped".
I am just wondering what the role of the web dispatcher could be in calling the mapping runtime. Can somebody please explain this to me ?
When a message is already being processed on an instance on the Int. Engine, the IE will call the JAVA stack on the same instance(if I am not wrong) then how can the error occur if the Web dispatcher is down. Moreover, in our visual admin properties we have checked the JCA Adapter settings and it is calling its "LOCALHOST" always.
Please explain me in detail the mapping runtime step.
Thanks,
Harish

hi,
I'm not a basis consultant... but I know you can use a web dispatcher, for instance when in production you have several PI application servers. by this way, the IE can communicate with the AE by using just one address (your web dispatcher).
So if this last one shut down, your connexion IE -> AE works no more, and your messages are in error in PI queues (SMQ2.)

  • Message splitting-- Queue stopped when no message created for one interface

    Hi all,
I think you saw one post regarding this issue in SDN, but I can't find the post any more.
So, I have message splitting (it's multiple mappings to map one outbound msg to multip inbound msgs, not one mapping to map 1 to n. This is because of our own reason, but should not affect the analysis of the issue) to split one message to multiple. It works fine if the outbound message contains data for every inbound interface. However if the outbound message does NOT contain data for any one inbound message, there is an error in MONI and all subsequently splitted messages will not be passed in IE. The error in MONI says Split mapping created no messages, and Queue status turns to be Queue Stopped, and thus all the subsequently splitted messages are stuck in the queue.
Why this? and how to solve this problem?
    Thanks

    Hi Jyson,
what i analyse from this is you may be using different maapings and different inbound interfaces
but your receiver is the same and hence you are using only one interface determination with all the   interface mappings specified there...
if this is the case..i suggest you remove the "maintain order at runtime "
tick in that interface detemination and it will surely work
giving points is another way to say thanks

In SMQ2, i can see a queue stuck giving error:
    XI Error JCO_SYSTEM_FAILURE.MAPPING: Queue stopped
when i click it...it leads me to a SXMB_MONI entry..
which corresponds to a IDOC to File scenario, where a message mapping fails giving the following error,

how can i solve the problem without delecting the queue

    hi ,
This error is coming because your message is very large or lots of large xsd files are uploaded in XI
you need to increase the memory used by JVM for your XI. How to increase the Memory ? for answer go to this blog.

  • Sysfail queue:      queue stopped

i have some scenarios runnnig in my system, some scenarios are failing due to queue STOP,
when i click the queue name from the MONI, it shows that three queues namely XBTI007, XBTI003, XBTI004 are in SYSFAIL status,
when i cllick those queues, i find some 1000 entries in each of the queue,
the topmost entry shows that qRFC SXMS_ASYNC_EXEC failed due to
reason: COMMIT/ROLLBACK error on "DEFAULT" database connection...
there are many scenarios getiing stuck but i could find that the a particular scenarios qRFC execution lead to the error,
but since all the scenarios are getting stuck ....
    wat action can i take....
if i select the entry with sysfail status and activate the queue, will it hamper something...
    will data loss happen??
    pls help...its in production system

    Dhar,
SMQ2 is for outbound queue and SMQ1 is inbound queue. If you are getting the messages into XI then check in SMQ1 for any errors in XI and if you are sending out from XI then see SMQ2. Check this help for some more information on this:

How do i continue the icloud restore on my iphone, it has stopped when my wifi failed ?

Either it will continue on it's own after a while, once wifi is up or you may have to start it again.
Chances to continue on it's own are more if you started restore less then 48 hours ago.

  • HP 1505n - Print Jobs stop when sent to queue

I recently purchased an HP LaserJet 1505n for my home office. I have several Mac's all running 10.5.1 all connecting to it. Most print to it via the network (Bonjour) but I do have 1 Mac hooked up directly via USB to the printer. So, both the USB And Network Interfaces are being used on the printer (which is why I bought it).
Every now and then when I try to print, the print job just stops immediately in the queue. When I try to restart it, it stops again. Sometimes physically resetting the printer works, but rarely. I have also deleted the queues and re-added them. Nothing seems to work. It seem that Adobe Acrobat files never print, but Firefox will always. (Strange...)
I have read a few other threads on this issue and they all mention that it is a driver issue from HP. I have try to get the OpenSource drivers, but I have not found any for the HP 1505n.
Below is the /var/log/cups/error_log. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations? Do I just wait for an OpenSource driver or HP to update their drivers?
    Thanks!

Intel Mac fix for Office 2004
    1. On a computer that can still print using Office 2004, go to HD>System>Library>Printers and control+click on Libraries and Create Archive. In the same location, control+click on the CVs folder and Create Archive. Save these Archived (zip) folders to the Desktop.
    2. Copy these two Archived (zip) folders to the Intel Mac that cannot print. *note – you will need a network connection to the computer or a flash drive.
    3. Make sure you quit all applications including Safari, Entourage etc.
    4. Create a New Folder on the Desktop of the Intel Mac (Name this folder “Backup of Libraries and CVs”)
    5. Open the Macintosh HD>System>Library folder and control+click on the Printers folder and select Get Info. Click on Name & Location and set the permissions for Everyone to Read & Write.
    6. Open the Printers folder and drag the Libraries and CVs folder to the new folder you had just created to backup the old files.
    7. Extract the Archived Libraries and CVs folder you have copied to the Intel Mac by double clicking on the folders.
    8. Copy the extracted Libraries and CVs folders to the Printers folder (You will be asked to authenticate the copy)
    9. Restart the Computer.
    10. Open Disk Utility and select your Macintosh HD Volume. Select Repair Permissions.
    11. Open a MS Office document and print to verify the issue is resolved.

  • Integration Server Queues Stopping

    Hi People,
We are doing a FCC scenario (.CSV to XML), with the content conversion parameters as follows:
    Recordset Name: Recordset
    Recordset Structure: DataTable1,1
    Recordsets per message: 1
As it is clear from the configuration, <b>when the source file will contain multiple line items, XI will create multiple XML files, each containing data for a single line item.</b> My problem is, <b>whenever the source file contains a large number of line items, I see them being picked up (In SXMB_MONI), but the Integration Server inbound queues stop and they show a green flag in MONI with tooltip "Message Scheduled On the Outbound Side". I have to go to SMQ2 and manually activate the queues to release the blocked messages.</b> How to alleviate this problem..because it is really irksome to go and everytime manually activate the queues. Is there any report that can be scheduled so that it caueses the queues to activate automatically when they are blocked?
P.S: We can not change the design. Also, I have seen
<a href="/people/sap.user72/blog/2005/11/29/xi-how-to-re-process-failed-xi-messages-automatically">Naveen Pandarangi's Blog On XI Message re-Scheduling</a>..but the report stated there is not working out for me!
    Awaiting your expert views,
    Thanks in anticipation,

    Hi Shabarish,
I followed your instructions, but they did not work out for me...the problem still persists!

  • XI Error : EXCEPTION_DURING_EXECUTE.Mapping Queue stopped

    Hi All,
We are facing an issue when the mapping fails due to a use one as many function it fails the queue and Queue goes into state SYSFAIL. We see the error as XI Error : EXCEPTION_DURING_EXECUTE.Mapping Queue stopped
Is this expected ? Isnt the queue expected to work normally by just failing the message which would then appear in sxmb_moni?
    Any help , pointers?
    Regards,
    Sathya

    Hi Jyothi,
Sorry for not being clear.. I know what is causing the mapping error. its incorrect number of values in use one as many function as i Mentioned earlier.
I want to know is there a way to stop the queue from failing. Queue failure causes other messages which are coming from other interfaces to get blocked.
Ideally the messages in error should show up in sxmb_moni and queues should be processing normally. However in this case it does not happend.
    Regards,
    Sathya

  • Queue Stopped, messages not getting processed

    Hello Experts,
From the pst three days, my XI server is running slowly. All the messages are having the status green. When we check the queues, all the messages are stuck there and the error displayed is SYSFAIL (Queue stopped). If I try to execute the LUW manually it doesn't allow me giving the message "The queus is registered and therefore cannot be activated".
I have also tried deleting the entry and restarting the message again and then it goes to the same queue and gets stuck again. What should I do further?
    Thanks,
    Merrilly

    Hi,
To be able to initiate processing of messages stuck in the queue, make sure to set following IS configuration parameter
    MONITOR QRFC_RESTART_ALLOWED to value 1 in SXMB_ADM
    Check this

Sorry our primary database file structure is different from stdby, we used db_file_name_convert in the init.ora, it look like this:
    *.db_file_multiblock_read_count=16
    *.db_file_name_convert='+OT06_DATA/OT06TSG001/','+RT06_DATA/RT06/','+RECO/OT06TSG001','+RECO/RT06'
    *.db_files=2000
    *.db_name='OT06'
    *.db_recovery_file_dest='+RECO'
Is there any thing wrong in this parameter.
I tried this parameter before for cloning using rman backup. This din't work.
What exactly must be done? for db_file_name_convert to work.
Even in this case i think this is the problem its not converting the location and the logical halts.
    help me out.....
let me know if you have any questions.
    Thanks Regards
    Raghavendra rao Yella.

    Hi reega,
Thanks for your reply, our logical stdby has '+RT06_DATA/RT06'
    and primary has '+OT06_DATA/OT06TSG001'
so we are using db_file_name_convert init parameter but it doesn't work.
Is there any thing particular steps hiding to use this parameter? as i tried this parameter for rman cloning it din't work, as a workaround i used rman set new name command for clonning.
Let me know if you have any questions.
    Thanks in advance.

  • SXMB_MONI - queue stopped

    Hi,
I am experiencing a problem with queues. After reading  similar situation, i don't really know I to solve it.
    The problem is the next:
    Scenario: IDOC--> XI --> FTP
When the Idoc is received in XI, there are about 15 Mappings to execute. When I have a look to the SXMB_moni I see all the mapping are stopped. The Q.Status is with the stop signal, and when I position the curson over the signal, the next text is displayed : "Queve Stopped".
I've read several similar threads, but I can not  understand the solution.
Could anyone explain me or give a good link in which I can hava a step by step guide of how to register the queue and/or how to solve this problem eventually.
    Thanks in advance.

    HI,
    Please see the below links

  • Queue Stopped

    Hi all,
We are facing an unusual problem.
We transported one IDoc to file scenario to another XI System .
    The scenario contains one BPM.
Now the problem is that the IDoc is coming from R/3 Business System but not going to BPM. We couldn't find any errors in receiver determination.
In the "Monitor for processed XML messages" we can see
    a. Flag is green.
    b. Idoc is coming from R/3 to XI
    c. Receiver / Receiver Service columns are blank.
    <b>d. Q.Status  : Queue stopped .</b>
    e. Error Category / Error ID columns are blank.
When we place mouse over Q.Status it is showing that message contains errors. But we couldn't find the error as the same thing is working well in XI-Dev.
    Can anyone help.
    Thamks in Advance.

    Hi,
    We created one File-BPM-File scenario.
Here also the File Adapter is picking the file but the message is not going to BPM.
In monitoring (SXMB_MONI) we cannot see only one step >Message is coming from File BS to XI, after that no receiver, no error - Only one thing Q. Status stopped.

  • "Dispatcher failed to initialize" macbook pro, snow leopard?

I'm trying to install my sims 3 game on my laptop. i have a macbook pro with snow leopard software or whatever. (version 10.6.8). i already have it installed on my desktop computer but i'm moving soon and will not be taking my desktop with me. everytime i try to install it on my laptop it comes wup with "dispatcher failed to initialize." i know there were problems with the lion software, but i assumed snow leopard would be fine? help please??

Reinstall OS X without erasing the drive
    1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
    2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer.  Proceed with reinstalling OS X.  Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files.  After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.

  • SMQ2 queue stops

    Hi,
I have an integration process that sends a synchronous message (soap adapter) to a receiver system.  After that  the receiver system needs about 5 to 10 minutes to respond to the request. Sometimes this is no problem and the queue of outgoing messages resides in status running.
However most time the queue stops after some minutes and the only way to go on with processing is to manually unlock the queue in SMQ2.
Why does this happens? Is there a possibility to restart the queue automatically? Is there a timeout period in queue processing that can be inceased?
    Thank you in advance,
    Daniel

    Dear Daniel,
In synchronous scenarios running over PI, several communication components are involved where each may lead to a time-out. Such a time-out on one communication component causes the messaging scenario to fail as a whole.
Various components which may contribut for your queue to fail are:
Messaging System specific time out, SOAP sender channel time out, and your receiver Adapter time out property.
There are some pre defined values for them already set in our PI system and these needs to be changed to accomodate the failure case also.
To give you a lead, In NWA, Go to->Operation Management->Systems-> Start & Stop -> Java Services -> (Under Related Tasks) Java System Properties. Select your adapter type and under properties change the default time.
For Sender SOAP channel, add u2018Parameter Nameu2019 as: XI.Timeout and in u2018Parameter Valueu2019, give any value in milliseconds.
    Warm Regards,
    Anshul
