Regarding the Quick Access part of the navigation pane in Explorer:
Explicitly pinned: Folders which are pinned by the user seems to get a "pin" icon
Implicitly pinned: Folders frequently used seems be automatically listed below the explicitly pinned folders in the Quick Access list?
Anybody found some kind of early doc or blog going into more of the details on Quick Access?

Rather than disabling Quick Access and the new provisioning feature for folders and user concepts - in order to avoid the clutter or the UI being obscured by file history and frequent folders/files - try customizing/resetting the provisioning
instead:
I.E.: To use only explicit pins in Quick Access, disable frequent folders/files and may be libraries (now you have Quick Access to link to those folders/user concepts instead)
For starters - I had not looked that up yet, there is a new tab "General" in Explorer > Folders Options > General where you can control the provisioning of which concepts you are presented with in Explorer,
i.e.:
- you can disable libraries
- you can disable file history (i.e. not show either frequently used Files or Folders)
- whether to start directly in at the main concept of the new provisioning when opening Explorer (start at Quick Access, which is default ... great :o)

Did you set up Find My iPhone when you first set up your phone? If so, you can log into icloud.com with your Apple ID and use Find My iPhone there. If you didn't, there is no way to do what you are asking.

You can't.
If the phone has been blocked because it has been reported as stolen or lost you've wasted your money.

When I try downloading a book from my library into Digital Editions I get some kind of licensing error code and it will not put the book into the program

I have Digital Editions on 2 different computers, could my problem be with the library? It just won't take the download. Something about licensing, syntax etc.

The order of consumption is usually, video, pics, music, docs.
If you have a great deal of photos on you internal drive and have them on an external storage drive, then you can delete them from your internal, that would free up space, same for videos, they are both space hogs. I regularly put my photos to an external drive, just keep my internal with as much free space on it. It runs faster and less stressful on the drive.
If you are having these error messages then you most certainly need to get stuff off, overloading can kill a drive.
As a general rule try to keep the internal below 50% for better performance.

My advice is to uninstall that extension. IMO, you have too many extensions installed, and are asking for problems with Firefox. I am not against using a lot of extensions in Firefox ''(I typically have 45 to 50 extensions installed, but the mix of extensions you have scares me as potentially problematic.)''

So far basically what I did for the connection was create a constant equal to the name of the database, in the servlet. I will post my Servlet code so far, and I suppose it would help people with either I am going about this all wrong, or on the right track.

First, make sure the headphones plug is completely pushed into the headphones jack. Because the jack serves multiple functions, the fit may be tighter than expected (especially if you have the Apple EarPods).
Also, try using the headphones with another device, to rule out bad headphones. Or try another set of (known working) headphones with the shuffle.
Are you using older headphones that have remote control buttons? Not the latest EarPods and not the immediately previous version of white Apple earbuds. Or non-Apple headphones with remote control buttons. It's possible they are not compatible and interfering with the shuffle's operation. Any standard headphones (with no buttons) should work.
If that does not help, you can try doing a Restore on the shuffle in iTunes. The Restore button is on the shuffle's Summary screen in iTunes. This will erase the shuffle, reinstall its software, and set it to defaut settings. If a software (or settings) problem on the shuffle is the cause, the Restore should fix it.
Otherwise, if the Restore does not help, it may be a hardware problem. If it has been less than one year since purchase, it is under warranty.

It may not be a good soloution for a novice, but I have been using hosts files to block unwanted URLs for many years with zero disasters and lots of positive results.
As I noted, whenever I find a new "bad" site, I simply add the name to my hosts file. It takes a few seconds and then it's gone forever. I find no difficulty whatsoever.
No, it's not for everyone, which is why I gave no specific details; but for those who are interested and have the desire to learn about these hosts files, it is a very good way to avoid "bad" websites.
I also enjoy the "clean" view of a webpage when there are no ads showing at all. The page loads faster and the distractions are gone.
I never realized how much junk I am supressing until I got my iPad and saw all those horrid ads that are blocked on my other computers.

I'm trying to use my Apple headphones a mic on GarageBand. After about an hour of researching, I've found that my iMac (Mid 2007) is not compatible with an external audio input/microphone. .. and that's all. IS this a symptom of some kind of spyware installed or attempted to be installed without my knowledge by someone else who had access to my machine? The datalogging settings bother me as does a setting for user feedback of 0 which sounds like a setting to keep the presence of a datalogger quiet from popping up or showing. How can I figure out using unix commands in the terminal or something more convenient what application this preference file belongs to? This file has an install date of late 2008, so if someone is spying on me, they've been doing it over a year without my knowledge--that disturbs me a bit. I was nosing around trying to figure out why this G4 macMini which is supposed to be recording my two household security cameras has been running so poorly. I have no idea what this file installed on it is all about. I don't believe it to be related at all to the Security Spy software I use for recording the cameras feeds to hard disk.

First off, don't panic.
'Data logging' can mean many things, and take many forms - not all of which are nefarious.
If you think about it, it would to be a pretty dumb hacker who infiltrates your machine to install a logger and leaves such a big, bold footprint behind.
That said, I don't know what this relates to, specifically, but a quick google on some of those keywords (especially the LastUsedDeviceTypeName) hints at something to do with a TomTom GPS unit. Did you install/attach a TomTom GPS back in 2008 when this preference file was attached?
Data logging is often used in GPS terms to track paths/routes, so it would seem to make sense.
