My main question is: can a silicon (or leather!) case protect the Zen Micro from a fall? Is silicon in general a poor choice for a case? Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.

Case structure run other case structure

HI all,
I have a big programme in LabVIEW, but what I want to do is very simple to describe with simple example on picture bellow.
I need to make that when 1. case structure will be true to start "second" case (but I also need to start second case manually with switch "START"). Is there any "property node" which will tell me when 1. case is on true?
If this exist I then only need to add "OR" boolean to second case.
I hope that is clear what I want to do.

Switch when release will keep that switch set as True until you come back and switch it off yourself. Latch when release will keep that switch as true until the terminal is read by LabVIEW at which time LabVIEW will return the switch to false automatically.
Well I need button which goes automatically back to same position as it was after it was pressed, so I used "switch when released", it's also working with "latch when released". It's make no sense.

Only execute on the first time that X becomes 1? If so, you will need a shift register or feedback node to keep track of that boolean wire and only execute the 2nd case when the boolean wire is True AND when the boolean wire in the previous iteration is NOT True.

Which Case is the Right Case?

Hi ALL,
OK, you iPhone vets, what's the FAVORED Case? Here are the specs on what my case would have:
1. Form fitting, like a 2nd Skin, if you will. Enhances the unit when held, makes it easier to hold.
2. Has a belt clip/swivel that can be removed when not needed, but not at the detriment of the cases cosmetics.
3. Does NOT take away from the iPhones cosmetics.
So, what do you all think? Looking for all input ~~~~ Gunny

I've bought and returned several cases now and I've settled on Case-Mate, actually two of them. You can see them at http://www.case-mate.com
Depending on what I'm doing I have the Signature flip case which covers the glass if I'm mostly going to put the phone in my pants pocket or be in situations where it may get scratched or dirty. For other times I use the standard Signature Case which does not cover the glass. Here's the beauty of this though, I also have their holster which either case slips into! Basically it's like having three kinds of cases. I find this works very well for me and neither case adds any bulk to the phone.
By the way the phone slides easily in and out of either case. Also the cases come with a belt clip you can screw into the backs but I found it to be bulky and unreliable and difficult to get to the phone when taking a call. The holster is ideal.

ITUNES will not start!!! THIS IS NOT THE SAME AS THE OTHER CASES!! i think.

I know several topics have been posted about this, but i have skimmed through several pages of this forum and i have not found any responses, answers, or information that will help me with my problem.
My problem is simple, when I click on the iTUNES icon, no matter how many times I click on it, it will not start, open, or do anything. There will be no messages declaring an error has occured or anything of the sort. Nothing happens. I can click on iTUNES a million times and nothing will happen. However, when i turn off or restart my computer, the computer will tell me that iTUNES is running and that Microsoft must "end task" before the computer starts, and then it does that thing when you're trying to shut down windows and a program is open...
Also, everytime I reinstall my iTUNES and then restart the computer, the computer will prompt me, when it starts, about iTUNES trying to get internet access (actually, it's the Norton Internet Security that does this).
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!! I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling a million times already, and I have restarted my computer plenty of times as well. Someone please try and help me out, it's driving me crazy
Oh and another thing, searching for spyware and viruses and all that mess...does nothing. please don't ingnore me people and PLEASE help me out. I think it's messed up that I buy a 400 dollar peice of equipment and i don't get a chance to use it.

The iPad Case Thread

With the iPad out less than a month, it's surprising to see how many cases are out there. Unfortunately, most cases are not available in stores, so it's hard to get a read on them. iLounge.com did a great review of many of the cases. I thought an iPad case thread would give us an opportunity to share out thoughts with the cases we have purchased, what we like, what we dislike.
I'll go first:
I decided that I didn't want a portfolio type...I prefer my iPad "naked" in my hands. To protect it, I used the Bodyguardz front/back/sides protector. The back give me just enough grip to reduce the slipperyness of the iPad. For a case, bought the Waterfield Designs Slip Case (sfbags.com). It is a snug fit, nicely lined with a plastic "shield" built in to prevent damage to the screen. If provides great protection and can slip into a brief case, shoulder bag, etc. I'm very happy with it...it's well made and great customer service. In addition, their site shows videos of each bag so you can seen them in action.
Anyone else buy a case they like/dislike? Let's hear it....

I think the problem with the iPad accessories in general is A) the lack of hands -n availability of the cases and B) Not knowing how to treat the iPad and C) the size of the unit requires more raw material and thus higher prices and probably less profit margin. Its not a phone, not a touch, not a notebook, not a tablet pc.......its a hybrid of its own. I don't even think the manufacturers of these cases are hip to what the case should be like. Thats going to take some time in my opinion.

I tried the "Gelli" Case from Case-Mate for $39.99 with free shipping from case-mate.com. Its one of the most attractive case I have seen but it didnt improve the feel of the iPad in my hands. It was almost an extension of the slippery feel of the naked iPad. I kept it for 3 weeks to really make sure I didnt like it. And its not so much that I didnt like it, but I also didnt love it. I have returned it for a refund. Again, its a well made and attractive case, its just not for me. I WISH they would make a Barely-There line for the iPad as I have them for my iPod Touch.

I also ordered a leather folio from HD ACCESSORY.com for $29.95 plsu $8.00 shipping. My hopes were to have a leather carry case for meetings and the like. I looked at the apple case, the other cases from incase and the like, but each one had a "fatal flaw" of one kind or another for me. So I ordered the leather folio from HDA as mentioned above. It arrived last weekend and was a disappointment. The "straps" wouldnt hold the iPad in place, and there was glue on the inside "suede" lining, very unprofessional. I have since shipped it back and am hoping for a full refund.

Last weekend I was at Best Buy and found a Belkin "Grip Swell" (cute name) and purchased it for $49.99 + tax (yikes!). Its soft and "grippy" , perhaps not quite as "grippy" as I would prefer, but I still like the case. It improves the experience of the iPad as a case should. I have opted to keep it despite the high cost of the unit.

*_INCASE SLEEVE:_* I looked at this one in Best Buy but at $39.95 (I passed on it). That said, its extremely well made and the material inside the unit is SO SOFT. I ended up ordering an InCase Netbook Sleeve (INCL57365) which will fit the iPad for $22.20 dollars shipped from B+H Camera. It should arrive any day now.

Hey guys, it's me again with another question.
I know the other case doesn't fit, but I was wondering if this case would fit. It's a slip in case, so you have to slip it in and out all everytime. The person said it wouldn't fit, but it's a slip in so I'm guessing it would fit.. Could anyone help? It's either one of these 2 cases, doesn't matter..

I highly doubt it will since it looks like a hardcase with the material coating it. Your only bet to finding a case that will work is finding a soft gel case, but I can't even guarantee that it will fit your 2g if it wasn't specifically made for it.

Just bought the 8gb one and I need a case for it(was wondering if it fits inside the ZEN plastic case and would all the holes and buttons be available?). I want to carry it a strap around my neck but I could propably get used to keeping it in my pocket if it doesnt fit inside the zen case :P. And one final question. Does the silicone case for the x-fi protect the screen? If it doesnt and if it doesnt fit inside the zen case then the only case that I should get is the leather case for x-fi?

no, you can't put your Zen X-Fi into the case fpr Zen.
because of the buttons' location and player's depth.
therefore you need to buy a new one.
i have a silicon casefor X-Fi.
it doesn't protect the screen actually.
i think it can protect the player from fingerprint or scratch.
however, it makes the nine buttons harder to press.
i don't have a leather case so i have no idea about it.

IPhone's Best "Case" Scenario (The quest for protection)

Many of us are trying to find that best case, so I thought this follow-up would be helpful.
I have owned the iSkin Revo case for iPhone for nearly 2 months (http://www.iskin.com/). Basically, the case has really worked great for me. It has 3 parts, the case, a non-glare/privacy film screen cover and a plastic screen protector that snaps on the front of the phone to protect it from heavier impacts.
- The case has really held up great and protected the phone well. It has stayed true to form and has not become stretched out. Unlike some other cases, dust and other particles have NOT scratched the bezel. I've dropped the phone only a couple times--once face down on my coffee table--and the sides of the case helped prevent the thing we worry about doing most: cracking the glass.
- I hesitated using the anti-glare film, but have gotten used to it and feel the minimal loss of resolution is worth the extra protection to the glass. I'm probably going to pull the film later this month and see what I like better.
- The plastic cover, while a great idea, is not really practical for me. Yes, it snaps off and can be placed on the back securely, but I end up leaving it behind. It's really just added bulk.
I'd like to read some follow-ups on some of the other cases people have purchased. Let's start a fresh thread with people's experiences. The ones I read here really helped me. Thanks for posting!

I had one of the Incase rubber cases and stopped using it because of all the crud that would find its way into the case, and my iPhone is now a bit scuffed up because of it after only a couple of weeks.
I no longer use a case for it anymore. I think a large part of what makes the iPhone so great is how sleak and clean looking it is. I have it in my pocket most of the time, and make an effort not to put my keys or anything else in that particular pocket.
I do use the Incase Leather Folio clipped to my belt while I am at work to protect it from getting smashed in my pocket (part of my job is bumping into a lot of things, and leaning in ways that I worry would cause undue pressure on the phone).
I'm not a fan of any phone being worn on a belt, people act like its a fashion accessory. But while at work it is a practical way to keep my phone on me. I can't leave it in my car because it gets way too hot during the summer.
Outside of work however, I like my sleek, attractive, case-less iPhone.

This looks like the perfect case for the Lumia 1020 and is one of the few that offers protection for the camera lens.
Is it going to be sold by Nokia? And when is it coming out?

Actually, the page mentions that link as a source for a different case not pictured.

So whatever case Noreve.com decides to make, it won't be the one pictured in the article.
And looking at the other cases that Noreve has designed, I don't think theirs will look anything like the Nokia-branded one that is pictured.

Symbol & Text Substitution Is Case Insensitive But "Forgets" Case

For example, when mistyping "The Republic" as "Teh Republic", text substitution will replace "Teh" with "the" in lower case, "forgetting" the original case. An understandable response from the software, but definitely not the best one. At very least I would have thought having it remember your case for each letter position would be optional.
Would very much like to see this fixed / added at a later update.

Click on the Apple and then on about this Mac. In the new window, click on the "version 10.9.2" until you see the serial number displayed.

I have 2 iPads both the sane except for case color. One connects to my home wifi fine, the other will not "join". It finds the wifi name and the little circle turning wheel just spins.

Unplugged wifi on and on for about an hour.
I have compared settings between the two and cannot see any difference.
Both iPads worked fine last week. One made a trip to MI and used cellular access just fine. Now that one still uses cellular OK, but refuses to "join" the wifi.
Too bad I can't attach a picture.
Anyone care to offer a unique workable solution I have not tried?

Have you tried renewing the lease in the WiFi settings? Settings>WiFi>Your network name>Tap the blue arrow>Renew Lease. If you haven't tried that - try it first before reading the information about restoring the iOS software.
Follow the instructions in here. If you are unsure about anything - do not proceed. Post back with questions first.

Make sure that you transfer all purchases, backup the iPad and sync with iTunes first. When you restore to factory settings, iTunes should ask if you want to backup first, but it will not hurt to initiate a backup on your won before you even start the restore process.

Since downloading the most current iTunes software I can no longer print the insert (label) for a jewel case. The songs are printed over each other and can not be read. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Since downloading the most current iTunes software I am no longer able to print an insert (label) for a jewel case. I click on print, choose jewel case and then it doesn't matter which option I choose for the insert it will only print the songs over each other in a 1 inch section so that it can not be used or read. If instead of clicking on the jewel case I click on list it works fine and prints an appropriate list. I have always updated the iTunes software the first time I am offered to do so and I have never had a problem printing the jewel case inserts. Since this issue is not about a piece of hardware iTunes help will not help me.

If it is a USB powered external, no AC adpater, that may be the reason. Mac notebooks are known to have low powered USB ports. You can get around that with a Y USB cable to connect to 2 USB ports at the same time.
