Quick Copy SAP 9.0

Hi,
I am not able to copy Chart of Accounts from Base database using Quick Copy.
The Issue I am having it is showing error "No matching records found (User Defined Value cshs).
There is no where dimensions assigned in base database but it is checking it by default and also giving error related to linking of distribution rule.
need help.

HI Phong,
Have you stopped payment engine in the Addon Manager window? I haven't installed this Addon myself, but please check if there's a process in the Windows task manager and if yes, kill it. Tested: there are two processes for this add-on: BPEngine.exe and BP_CashBank.exe.
This must be done for every connection: ensure no one is connecting to your new company.

Hi,
1. To get left side menu to view, you have to fill up required details at right menu. Otherwise left menu is greyed.
2. Please refer SAP help for filling right menu:

3. From my experience,
a) You have to back up DB for minimum of two hours
b) Event sender services should be stopped
c) The order of importing data is very important.

Altering copied SAP report layout

I've copied SAP std report from investment management (in IME2) to create my own layout. I've copied the report and form, and have alterred the form to my liking.
When I execute the report, the summary section at the bottom of the report appears correctly, but the middle section doesn't show the same columns.
I can't find where this is controlled/stored. How do I get into the centre section of the report layout to alter the column layouts and bring in my new columns when the report executes.
Can anyone tell me how I get into this area of a report to configure the column layout

No I've checked throughout Report painter/writer, and its not there. Style wise, it appears to be more of a Profitability Analysis report.
I've managed to create my own copy of SAP standard report S_ALR_87012825, with a modified form that gives me what I nee at the bottom summary section. I've spent hours trying to get into the middle section, but just can't find a way.
the nearest I got was in IME2, where I can right click on the program name, and choose "Layout Display", but there doesn't seem to be any editing options where I can alter the columns in the middle section of the report, which I basically want to replicate the summary section at the bottom.

Replicate quickly an SAP TDMS HCM copy

Madame and Sirs goodevening,
I have this scenario:
I implementented a SAP TDMS HCM - EXPERT scrambling scenario from my prod system (IE PRD) to quality system (IE: QUA).
My question is:
is possible in the future (next month?) re-execute only HCM - EXPERT package without set-up procedure (IE: SAP client copy customizing + TDMS package master data and customizing + TDMS package HCM - EXPERT)?.
My goal is to reduce the processing time.
In TDMS 3.0 release is not possible to automated the copy method. When will the new version available?

Custome wants,in tdms copy procedure from production system to quality systems (pay attention this is a purely HR landscape) users and roles too.
If I re-execute only HCM package I not transfer these data.
In our prototype system (HCM data from quality system to sandbox system) I re-execute only HCM package (re-execute not a new HCM package) and it worked fine but in our quality system there were not many activities (insert, update and so on).

Hi,
not sure that you need it but we need ff_server.ini in the same directory copied, too.
Before this of course you need a SAPGui Installation on the new computer.

Getting run time errors while executing the copied SAP programs

i want to copy an sap program.after coping i need to change some coding there.then i have to create a new transaction for that.
i am just copying the sap program RQEEAL10(transaction-QA32) to Z_RQEEAL10. it has 4 include programs.i am copying them to z programs like
RQ00MF10 copied to z_RQ00MF10
RQALVF14 copied to z_RQALVF14
RQALVF16 copied to z_RQALVF16
RQALVTOP copied to z_RQALVTOP.
now i am executing that program Z_RQEEAL10.but i am getting run time errors as given below.
<b>runtime error---</b>
The termination occurred in the ABAP program "Z_RQEEAL10" in
"SELECT_FIELDS_MANIP2_F16".
The main program was "Z_RQEEAL10 ".
The termination occurred in line 257 of the source code of the (Include)
program "RQALVF16"
of the source code of program "RQALVF16" (when calling the editor 2570).
--Error in ABAP statement when processing an internal table.
--When changing or deleting one or more lines of the internal table
"\PROGRAM=Z_RQEEAL10\DATA=SELECT_FIELDS" or when inserting in the table
"\PROGRAM=Z_RQEEAL10\DATA=SELECT_FIELDS", 0 was used as
the line index. An index less than or equal to zero is not
allowed.
The error can occur when using the following options:
1. "INDEX idx" for specifying the line number in the table
"\PROGRAM=Z_RQEEAL10\DATA=SELECT_FIELDS"
   where you want to change, insert or delete.
2. "FROM idx" for specifying the start index when deleting a line
   area from or inserting a line area into the table

I will give you one more check point where you have to give your concentration while copying the standard programs....
Call Customer-Function (Function Exists) if any in the Program when copied will not get executed. Instead you need to call the FM Directly.

You are likely to have some problems with the text-elements and translation that may have been maintained for the original report.

How to chnage namespace of a copied sap object

Dear SDN,
I have copied several sap iviews and made modifications to the copy. Now when I try to transport them I am having problems.
I know that you can turn of the protected namespace for the target portal, but does this mean I have to disable, then re-enable this feature every time I want to transport a copied iview?
Can you change the namespace of the object after you copy it?

SP11 has now been released. When navigating the PCD and right-clicking on an object, there is now a "Change ID" option. This runs a little wizard which lets you change the name, ID and prefix of any PCD object along with the references to it.
For some reason, it did nothing on our portal this morning (it was upgraded to SP11 yesterday), but was working this afternoon. Cacheing issue, I guess.

Client Copy (SAP 4.5B AIX-Oracle to W2003-SQL)

Hi! We have to extract a client from a SAP 4.5B running over AIX 5.2 & Oracle 9.2.0.5 where there are also 5 client besides.
In this way, we are thinking about configuring a new eventual machine SAP 4.5B with AIX&Oracle, install it in the same transport layer and make a copy of the client that we need.
After that, we'll make the heterogeneous copy of this new system with our only client between this machine and the final one with Windows 2003 Server & SQL Enterprise.
I just wondered if anyone knew of these issues and if there's any incongruity in the planning.
Any documentation or information regarding this issues would also be greatly appreciated.

I believe you are using 4.7 Ext set 1. you have to use R/3 Enterprise 4.7 Ext 2 Inst master DVD for CI installation. (we did a fresh installation 4.7x110 on 10g/windows with ext set 2 dvd after facing same kind of problem.. but as you're doing a het system copy.. its bit different...)
as per note - 896475 it only refers to DB installation part regards to 10g - The direct installation for R/3 Enterprise 4.7 Ext 1 is possible with the Installation Master DVD of R/3 Enterprise 4.7 Ext 2 SR1.

Activities post System copy - SAP CRM 5.0

Dear All,
We were having a 3 system (SAP CRM 5.0 SP8) landscape. CRM Dev(CRD), CRM Q (CRQ) & CRM P (CRP) on Oracle 10 and HP UX 11. We have the JDI 7 SP8 instance connected to the CRM dev systemand all the 3 systems were configured as the run time systems in the JDI.
Now we have added a new tier for the Intergation testing called CRM
IST viz CRI there by coming into 4 system landscape (CRD, CRQ, CRI,
CRP). The CRI server is a copy of the CRP box and has been just installed and given to us. We need to do all the post installation activities.
Can you please provide us the proper documentation/ccokbook/check points so as to what all steps to be carried out after this system copy. It would be highly appreciated if you can give us a proper documents & links. We need to give the system to the consultants and before that we need to carry out all the post refresh activities, please help us in this urgently.

System Copy SAP NetWeaver Process Integration 7.1 documentation incorrect

I am trying to a Homogeneous System Copy on PI 7.1 SP07. I don't want to do a
Copying the Primary Application Server Instance Only
Because (as the documentation says) "As of SAP NetWeaver based on kernel 7.1, you can copy a primary application server instance only. With this procedure you can move a primary application server instance to a different host within your system."
I don't want to move my system to another system. I just want to do a Database refresh. That option is not available when I run SAPINST.
I see the option for database refresh in the manual, but it's not a sapinst selection
6.3Copying the Database Only u2013 Refresh
With this procedure you can refresh the content of an existing database without having to copy the primary application server instance and to reinstall additional applications servers.
I'm using the latest SAPINST and I have the correct DVD from Service Marketplace.
This database refresh option appears in both the "distributed system" selection under system copy --> target --> distribute system.
"SAP NetWeaver Process Integration -> Software Life-Cycle Options --> System Copy --> Target System --> Distributed System --> Based on AS ABAP and AS Java --> Database Refresh or Move".
Is that the correct choice? Why is the documentation wrong?

Copying SAP Exit to Customer Exit

Dear Experts,
i need to create Customer exit for Clearing Date, Posting Date and netDuedate. For this i am going to copy the SAP EXIT Variables 0p_keydt, 0p_Keyd2, 0p_keyd3, Bcoz i had created Infoset, sothe technical name get changed, So I cant call SAP Exit variables for this new Info Object.

I do not know if we can directly convert a SAP exit to a CMOD exit.
What I was suggesting was that, create a CMOD exit (custom project) and in the coding part you can copy the code from the existing code and replace the varaible names.
