Quick Create

Dear PC UI Experts,
What all are customization settings we need to do in CRM for "Quick create" to make it work.please let me know the step by step configuration settings for Quick create.
I am getting the Error in PC UI like this.
in the Navigation panel,Quick Create
Error occurred. Contact the administrator and report the exception ID in the log: 001A4BFF038C004900000072000014080004766C2876B2C0
please let me know,how to resolve this issue and your help would be appreciated.

Hi Kirans,
can you check this SPRO->CRM->People-Centric CRM->Generic Functions->Configure Quick Create
and then map it or just check the event for quick create is present in the Application layout or not. Because sometime it happened that the configuration of the event has been deleted from the application.

Authorization for work center /quick create links

Hi all;
I need nondisplay of bupa details:
no Masterdata (no authorization to search/display/create any BUPA), no workcenter, no quickcreate links.
the problem is I have one CRM Webclient Business Role and I should manage this with 2 different pfcg role :
One of them should use workcenter and quick create links but the other should not see them.
I have handled not to search/display/create any BUPA via authorization object but
not to display workcenter and quick create link I need another authorization object..
Is there anybody who knows how can it be done by pfcg role ?

Quick Create - Error occurred

Hi,
At the Navigation Panel area when we click on Leads or Opportunities, the following error occurrs:
Quick Create
Contact the administrator and report the
exception ID in the log: 0018FE763800008000000048000003E400042FAA11C77D2A
Is there any way to get rid of this error at the Navigation Panel area? Thanks a lot and points will be rewarded.

Hiding or deleting the Quick create pane in the navigation panel

Hi friends,
Can anybody tell me how to hide or delete quick create info pane in the navigational area.
As of now we are displaying some data in the quick create info. But my requirement is not to display this quick create info at all in the navigation panel.
So in my navigation panel i should have only detailed navigation and portal favorites apart from the quick create.
Can anybody pls guide how should i do it , its urgent....

Look at this weblog , you can be in a position to change the portal framework
MastHead Change & Portal Desktop
Look for the Dekstop innerpage , you can add and remove the properties.

Error using Quick Create Form on custom entity

Hello,
I have a new relationship between opportunity and a custom entity. Now I want to use quick create form for my custom entity. Then from the opportunity form, I click on the "new" action inside the custom lookup field but nothing happens and I have
a JavaScript error... The quick create form has no JS code. The contact quick create form works fine. And the quick create form for my custom entity works if you click on the Add button on the main ribbon... so I'm lost... I've tried also with Chrome and IE,
same result. May be I'm doing something wrong...
Any help will be very apreciated.

It looks like product error message.
If it's happening on production, You can suppress the error message. Settings -> Administration ->Privacy Preferences -> Select Never send error report to Microsoft

Default error comes when i Open Opportunity quick create

Dear all,
When i open quick create of opportunity via account.
We get an error message. Is there something i am missing in scoping?
Error Message : Please enter a party with role Sales Unit.

Hello Dhruvin,
The default error is nothing but an employee (owner) who is not assigned to a Sales Unit.
You can either assign the employee responsible to a Sales unit under the Organizational Management workcenter which will enable automatic population of the Sales unit when you are creating an Opportunity and assigning an owner & you shall not get this error anymore.
OR
If you do not want to do this then while creating an opportunity you can assign an owner & select a Sales Unit under Opportunity creation screen for this owner which shall remove this error.

Hi Kiran,
You need to configure in CRM backend system to make Quick Create iView to work.
SPRO-->Implemnetation Guide --> People-Centric CRM (CRM Portal Content) -->Generic Functions --> Configure Quick Create.

Portal 7.0 and CRM 5.0 Create a new Role and enabling Quick Create.

In our Portal Scenario, we need to create a new Role and to customize it with some iviews(CRM BSP iviews).
The role was created and it works fine; in fact in the navigation it is possible to navigate in these BSP application:
1)Account
2)Products
3)Activities
My question is the following: I see that in the standard role <b>com.sap.pct.crm.salesmanager</b> (contained in the Business Package for my SAP CRM 5.0) it is possible to see in the portal desktop the functionality "Quick Create", how it is possible to enable the "Quick Create"??

Quick create account and auto assign to opportunity involved parties

Hi gurus,
I have a requirement to be able to quick create a new account from within an opportunity and to have this account automatically assigned to the opportunity with a certain party role.
How do we go about this?

Quick create problems in Portal using CRM business package

I am using EP 7.0 and CRM BP 5.0. I have implemented the "Sales Representative" role, that I am trying to customize.
When you create a Task & 'Phone Call' in the Quick Create section in the left, the save and close function doesnt seem to work. I get a done with errors on the page message.
Any idea why I am not able to do this? Also, does anyone know which transactions were being created behind the scenes in the CRM system when I click on those links?

Hello Yasin,
you should have a look at the iView definition in the Portal which is called when clicking the Quick Create link. There you find the transaction type of the document in the parameters.

Contact quick create for AET field with contact subtype

I enabled the account quick create function in CRM 7.0 EHP2 environment. The funtion works well in the opportunity with standerd account and contact fields.
In opportunity, I created 2 AET fields with the application subtype of ACCOUNT and CONTACT. The account quick create function works well with the ACCOUNT type field, however, it does not work on the AET field with CONTACT subtype.
Is there anything I need to turn on or just the function is not there yet?

Quick create configuartion

Hi All
In PCUI we have the Quick create iView but its throwing an error, so I went and checked in the CRM system whether this Quick Create is configured for a role but couldn't check if it's configured.
Can anyone please help me in finding out if Quick Create is configured for a role.

But when I click the email or other links of Quick create it is not functioning properly.
What I have done is in the mentioned link by you I have added a role with the Quick create links with the standard values

Quickly create 8 minute highest quality DVD with no menus from Motion 4?

What's the fastest/simplest way to create a high quality DVD without any menus that just plays from Motion 4?
I set quality to best.
I just tried using Share, and I can see one of my processors working at 100%, but I've got no indication of any progress - or even that it is working, except I can see a few files in the directory I told it to create them in.
I told it to create a DVD (there was a checkbox), so I put a DVD in the drive.
I have no idea how long I should wait until giving up? I'd generally avoided trying to send anything to Compressor from motion, as it would take 10x longer.

For the quickest method at the highest quality I would export a self-contained movie from Motion and take the self-contained QT movie and bring it into Compressor. Because SD DVD is compressed to MPEG-2 video format you will want to have control over how the file is compressed at the target bitrate of compression in order to achieve the best quality. You would want to duplicate and edit one of the DVD settings in Compressor then set the video bitrate to about 7.5/mbps because anything over that bitrate may cause playback errors on certain DVD players. I may receive compensation from my link. Make sure the audio is set to 192/kbps AC3 in Compressor.
You can setup distributed processing with Qmaster to enable multiple processor cores in a cluster and take advantage of multi core processing in Compressor. Additional info if necessary (more on the web by searching).
Then after Compressor is finished compressing the self-contained QT file take the compressed MPEG-2 file and .AC3 audio file and import them into a DVD Studio Pro project and follow these instructions to make the movie autoplay without any menus. I'll throw up some screenshots on the linked page soon to provide a visual reference of how to use DVD Studio Pro to create a DVD that autoplays without a menu.
