Quick launch icons missing (iphone 3, iOS6)

This is a strange one. The icons on the quick launch bar on my wife's phone have all vanished, including the phone App, so she cannot currently make calls. She was running an older version of iOS6 so I just updated to the latest (presumably the last OS update for phones older than iPhone4) in the hope this would rectify the problem. But they are still missing. I can still attach other Apps to the quick launch bar. But the others have just gone!! Anyone have any ideas how to get them back? Cheers

Pierre, if you have restored using debrick the Icons will return. Don't. Know what you did to reinitialize to factory.
Only restore media not app data or you may restore the fault.
Not a bug, doesn't need a fix from BB, just stuff happening.

Quick launch icon

How do I get rid of the quick launch icon for QuickTime for Windows? I would also like to stop this program from auto launching itself everytime I boot up.

If your referring to quick launch in the task bar just right click on it and delete it is just a shortcut.
If your referring to the system tray icon do wht b noir eplained. But also go to Start>Run>type in msconfig, click OK. Then click on the Startup tab and uncheck qttask, this will disable QT from loading at startup.

Firefox Quick Launch Icon is displayed as a "Generic Icon"

I have Windows 7 x64. When I first install firefox and create a quick launch icon, it shows as the normal firefox logo. After restarting my pc it is displayed as the generic looking blank file icon. The shortcut does still open firefox despite the icon image. I am unable to fix it by going into the shortcut properties and changing the icon image. The option to do so is there but it does not change when I attempt. The shortcut is definitely of firefox.exe and not a shortcut of a shortcut or anything. If I reinstall firefox the icon goes back to normal... until I restart pc again. Same computer was running vista x86 and had no issues with quick launch and firefox.

and the bat file makes my program run at startup,
and i want my program to run at startup,so i guess i need both of them?

and simply i want to make setup package that installs the jar file,lib folder to program files

Quick launch icons

my PB has had no icons showing in the quick launch bar since upgrading to 2.0. Now, after moving my app's icon to the quick launch bar, it has disappeared (array_insert invalid index). Even after re-downloading, the icon is missing.
Does anyone know how to restore the icons to the quick launch bar? Other forums suggest a security wipe...

Develop, Quick Collection, icons missing from filmstrip.

This is an out-of-the-box 1.1 installation. Notice on the following screenshot the pertinent issues:

The develop and quick collection icon(s) are not showing in the filmstrip (although they DO show in grid view). I have poured over these forums, any ideas?

Increase slightly size of the filmstrip.

Quick launch icon will not launch firefox 3.6.12

this problem started two days ago.
the only way I can launch Firefox is to launch in safemode

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
* Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
* Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

Quick launch bar

hi i recently upgraded itunes for windows xp, and now my itunes button in the quick launch bar is gone...how do i get it back without waiting for another upgrade or uninstalling and reinstalling?

This is a bug. I have installed iTunes on multiple computers and everytime, the Quick Launch icon is either broken or missing.
This has been happening consistently in all 7.x updates.
After the install, I have to manually copy the icon from the new Start Menu folder into the Quick Launch area.

When I right-click on the pinned Spartan Quick Launch icon, I seen the normal three choices:
Project Spartan
Unpin this program
Close this window.
However, when I right-click on the top choice (Project Spartan), the expected "Properties" doesn't appear, but only the "Unpin" and "Open". That is different from pretty much every other shortcut I have experience with. On my
10049 Build, 21 of 22 Quick Launch icons can display "Properties" .... Spartan being the lone exception.
As Expected?
I was able to create Desktop icons for Spartan.exe with the "New Shortcut" mechanism, and also the "Drag from File Explorer to the Desktop". For those shortcuts, Properties was easily available.
More oddness: None of the files Spartan.exe or Spartan*.exe would actually start Spartan. When I did try to launch Spartan_broker.exe, I got an error message about "Cannot verify digital signature".
And more oddness ... when I clicked the "Submit" button for the above edit, Spartan crashed, with a new entry in the "Event Viewer". Fortunately, the contents weren't lost. Whew.

I have the same result as your in my Windows 10 Technical preview, this is the default design for Spartan, and seems this design remains in the latest 10061, please submit a feedback in Spartan about this.

Why do 3 images appear on the quick launch instead of one?

I installed Firefox 14.0.1 and when I click the first time on the quick launch icon and Firefox loads correctly, immediately 3 layers of the icon images appear on the quick launch. and when I "RED X" out and go back in I get a half screen of my bookmarks in gray!

Windows 10 Quick Launch and Start Menu

I upgraded to windows 10 today, and although a bit sluggish, all seems well. However the start menu will not open, and only certain programs will run if I right click it. Also, the quick launch icons just completely refuse to work! Seriously beginning to do my head in now!

Firefox doesn't load from the quick launch

sometimes when i click the quick launch icon on my task bar Firefox does not load right. All i get is a blank white screen and it happens more than just a few times. I have to reload the page after i close it out. Also i keep getting issues when I click the quick launch icon that it says oops we need to restore your last session. And it was closed out properly. Especially first thing in the morning after I start up my computer. Is there anything that can be done with these issues.

Why won't the Firefox icon stick in the Quick Launch bar?

I put Firefox in my Quick Launch bar. When I start the computer, the standard Firefox icon is missing. I can fix this by going to Properties for the icon and it "sticks" for the rest of the day. However, the next morning I have to do it all over again.

The only time I have seen this is if there is an update notification, there are a few things that can cause this: updates on add ons, automatic updates to Firefox.
When did this begin to occur? and how do you launch the browser, manually, or on start up?

Help - Lost phone icon on quick launch bar

Hi,
I've been playing with configuring the quick launch bar by dragging icons from the launcher. When I dragged a fifth icon onto the quick launch bar it replaced the phone dialer icon.
No big deal I thought - I'll just drag it back from the launcher - except it's not in the launcher...
Any suggestions on how to get it back.... If only I'd lost the contacts icon I really wouldn't care, but losing the phone dialer is a problem!

So, you meant 5 *including* the launcher button, not 5 *plus* the launcher button, right? Because I can't get any more than 4 plus the launcher, and unless they were made smaller, it doesn't look like there'd be room for another. Or am I missing some way to do that? I'd love to add one more, since I use Google Maps almost daily for traffic checks, but I use the other stuff already there dialy as well.

I'm used to the Internet Explorer option to create a shortcut to the desktop, then I drag the icon to the quick launch area. I don't see that option in FF.

You can drag the favicon on the left end of the location bar onto the desktop to create a shortcut.
You can also use an extension.
