Quick Links provision...
I would love to have a set of quick links where in i can add links that will quickly take me to the forum i am interested in or to the blog category i am interested in. Now, i have to go to sdn community -> blogs -> blogs by category -> SAP Process Integration. I want to have a quick link that directly takes me to this page. Agreed, i can have favotites in browser, but is there a way to customize SDN homepage to add quicklinks ?

Let's explore this a little further...
I definitely like quick links, we use them extensively within SAP to link to specific places within our internal Corporate Portal.
Here on SCN, I think our current navigational structure to the main content homepages (e.g. for ABAP: http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/abap or for Master Data Management: http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/bpx/mdm) already has relatively easy links for each of these homepages and on the respective homepages you find cross links and automatic feeds from blogs, forums, articles, wiki spaces etc. for the respective topics.
I know a current pain point is, that it's not easy to "subscribe" for specific content easily across all the potential content types (forums, blogs, articles, wiki content, etc.)
Is that the issue you are talking about or a different angle on this? How would you see quick links helping?

On a Mac OS X version 10.4.11 and itunes 9.1.1. Can't update to itunes 10.6, Mac too old. Trying to get a previously purchased song. Can't use the purchased option under quick link - nothing shows up and won't let me purchase an already purchased song. What can I do?
If possible you need to upgrade OS X. However, what you can upgrade to is dependent on what your Mac hardware and configuration is which you have not provided in your profile.

I just purchased a software upgrade to OSX Lion. I received an e-mail that says, "To install your software, you simply launch the Mac App Store, click "Redeem"• found under Quick Links and enter your content code(s). How do I "launch the Mac App Store?"
Assuming you are running OS X 10.6.6 or later (10.7.x Lion, 10.8.x Mountain Lion or 10.9.x Mavericks), go to the Apple Menu (top left-hand corner of the screen)>App Store and it should become clear from there.

I am trying to install OS X liam on my Mac. Directions say launch Mac App store, click "redeem; found under quick links. Where is quick links on the Mac App store???
If you're running Mac OS X 10.6.6 or newer, click on the App Store icon in the Dock, go to its homepage if needed, and look at the sidebar on the right.
If you're running an older Mac OS X version, it needs to be updated or upgraded first.

Quick link does not open in new window
Hi all
I created an URL iView and assigned a quick link to it. The "launch in new New Window" property is set to
"display in separate window".
If i call the quick link url the iView is not shown in a separate window, but in the content area. Why?
If I click in the portal on that iView, it opens in a new window.
What am I missing here or is it a portal bug?

I get blank screen in iTunes when I click on 'Purchased' quick link
I am no longer able to access my purchased content via iTunes through the 'Purchased' quick link that usually provides access to all purchased content (e.g. films, tv shows, muic, etc), although instead I am presented with a blank screen. I have tried re-installing iTunes, although this didn't help, however someone else logged on through my mac using iTunes and was able to see there content. I can see my content in the cloud via my other apple mobile devices, but not itunes.....

Why aren't my previous purchases showing when I click "Quick Links", then "Purchased" in the iTunes Store??
1. iTunes won't offer cloud downloads for songs that it "thinks" are in your library, even if it "knows" the files are missing. If you've exhaustively searched for the missing files and there is no prospect of repair by restoring to them to their original locations, or connecting to new ones, then delete that tracks that display both the missing exclamation mark and are of media kind Purchased/Protected AAC audio file. Don't hide from iTunes in the cloud when asked, close iTunes, then reopen. You can download from the cloud links or iTunes Store > Quicklinks > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer > All songs > Download all.
2. Why? Not sure, perhaps 3rd party tools or accidental key presses combined with previously hidden warning messages when trying to organize the library. There is a hint that using the feature to downsample media as it is synced to a device may also be involved, though I've not replicated it. Whatever the reason a backup would protect your media.

I am trying to relocate a movie I have lost on my itunes. My quick link to purchased items on itunes does not show movies. How can I get my movie back. I have part of the download, the extras but movie is missing. only purchased in Novermber2011 but I have changed computer. The other one died. Any ideas.
Subsequent movie downloads are currently only available in the USA and only some of those are (depending upon studio).
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519 - enabled with iTunes 10.3 and newer; not available in all countries; apps, books (not audiobooks), music, t.v. shows, and movies (some - not all studios have permitted this). Movies currently available in the USA only. Downloading previously purchased movies and TV shows requires iTunes 10.6 or later. Discontinued items not available. For items not included in the iCloud list (e.g., ringtones), or locations or computer systems where iCloud is not (yet?) available, you only get one download per fee paid. Apple notes it is your responsibility to back up your purchases.
Select the store on the left side of iTunes.
Click on Purchased on the right side under Quick Links.
You can re-download your available previous purchases. -

I recently downloaded mountain lion and just had it emailed to me but I'm having trouble downloading it to my computer. I cannot find the button that says "redeem" under quick links.
You must have a minimum of OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8 installed on your Mac to have the Mac App Store. The Quick Links are on the Featured pane.

Apple store - Quick Links do not work
I'm using OS 10.6.8. Apple store works but QUICK LINKS (except for support) are light grey and non-responsive. As a result I cannot redeem purchased software. Why is this?

You can change the order of the boxes on the about:newtab page and drag an item to a different slot to pin it to that position or you can remove a website by clicking the close X to block that URL.<br />
You can drag a bookmark or history item and drop them in a slot on the about:newtab page to pin them and have your own favorites sites showing.
Changes made manually on the about:newtab page are stored in the browser.newtabpage.pinned (default = [null]) and browser.newtabpage.blocked prefs that you can check/modify on the about:config page (Bug 791447).

I recently bought a macbook and recieved the free mountain lion. To redeem the email said to go to quick links in the app store and click redeem. When I clicked redeem i Was taken to a blank grey screen. What is going on?
