Quick question re: Amazon Album Art widget

There's an option to "Save small images to iTunes".
Naturally, I am concerned about conserving disk space. Anybody know what this means?
Emailed the creators but, so far, no answer.
Killer widget, though!

You have a 250gb HD. Those images (large ones) might weigh in at 60k at the most. Do the math. There are much better ways of freeing up disk space (major understatement)

Amazon Album art widget no longer working.

Always have had great success with the Amazon Album art widget. Now nothing anytime I try to import album
art into iTunes. Running iTunes 10.5.3. Deleted widget I had on dashboard. Then downloaded again the widget,
still nothing. Just always get "no results found". Anyone else experiencing this?

Amazon Album Art Widget

I downloaded and was using effectively the Amazon Album Art Widget to install album art into my itunes "jukebox". Now the widget does not seem to function. I can still find the album art. However, when I click on the add to itunes icon - it does not. Should I uninstall/reinstall the widget or is there a trouble shooting series of steps to take? Thank you for your suggestions! GS

Amazon Album Art Widget has had it with my ignorance

It's not responding, it's been a while since I use it. I relaunched it, nothing. I erased it, downloaded a new one, reinstalled it, nothing. Is anyone else experiencing this?

How can I quickly get the same album art for all tracks on an album without manually doing them one at a time?

I am having trouble with album art linked to each track. My library is ripped from my own cd's and ITunes only provides some of the artwork from a find artwork search. The rest must be found and added one at a time manually from web. This process is tedious and time consuming for me. Is there a file in iTunes related to each album that I can just drop the art once and it shows up linked to all the tracks from that album when they play? I've tried selecting all songs from an album and dragging the artwork to the artwork window once in hopes of all tracks getting the artwork at the same time with no luck. Any advice for this paltry artwork dilemma would be appreciated. If Cassidy & Greene still owned this ******* child of SoundJam I know I would not be having this problem! HaHa...Thanks for any advice/help with this problem.

Thx 4 quick reply alexbird. Your method will work and after a little experimenting so will this: Just go to the album art view option and highlight the album you want artwork for. Drag the artwork from your album art web search page to bottom left hand album art window in iTunes and just drop it there. A small progress window then appears showing each album track adopting the dropped artwork one by one. It only takes 10-15 seconds for all of the tracks on your album to adopt the new artwork. I then went back and removed unwanted artwork(from the albums that had it) track by track from the get info menu. This goes pretty quick as you just pick track>get info>artwork>highlight art>delete>ok for each track.
This drag/drop to the album art view page has been the simplest and most effective way I have discovered to manually import album artwork into iTunes so far. Hope this helps someone else out there. Any other methods or suggestions to do this task added to this thread will be duly noted. Thx... Oh, I am currently using iTunes 10.5.1

Amazon Art Widget not working now any replacments?

Hi I've used Amazon Album Art widget for ages, but now doesn't work work on iTunes v10.2.2 "iTunes is not running" error, its widely documented and doesnt seem to be getting a fix.
So is there any other widgets that can do this? it was easy to do, and I know I can use Google images etc, its just long winded.

Bloated album art?

This probably isn't specific to the Classic, but it's the first time I've noticed it...
I just added album art to about 800 songs, mostly using the Amazon Album Art widget (covers are less than 1mb, embedded into the file). I then updated my 160GB Classic. It went from 77GB free to 72GB free. Is it just me, or does 5GB seem like an awful lot of space for 800 songs' worth of album art to use up? Even if the images were 1mb each (and they weren't), that's only 800mb. Where the heck does the other 4 gigs come from?

How do I download album art automatically? Not for my iTunes library, but straight onto my ipod device.
I know the "Automatically download missing artwork" option on Preferences. But that doesn't always work.
Is there a software or a widget that can help me out? I'm currently using the Amazon Album Art widget. It works great, but is there something that could work automatically without me having to type the artist name on dashboard? Because I have a lot of missing album art. There are softwares that can download the album art for whatever is currently playing on iTunes library. BUT I wanted to be used on the iPod device window NOT the music library.
What do I need?

Album Art Madness...What is the Method???

I frequently use the 'Get Album Artwork' feature. However, for some songs I am simply unable to tag the song properly in order to get the song to grab the information from iTunes. The album is on iTunes, I don't have a problem searching for it and finding it, but no matter what I do to my tag I can't seem to get the album art to download.
Has anyone else experienced this, and if so have you figured out what exactly causes it?

I also recommend Amazon album artwork widget. iTines is helpful,but as iLee said, the album info has to match exactly or there is no match.

Few problems/questions! (cover flow, album art...etc)

Ok I finally added my songs to my new IPOD (replaced my old one) and this is my first Ipod with video, color...etc. Its the IPOD Classic 80 GIG.
Well I am having a few problems/questions:
---Why when I hit "Get album art" does it ONLY get art for my videos? It doesn't get any for all 1,500+ songs! Is it because they aren't downloaded from Itunes? If so then why does it do it for the movies then? They aren't from ITunes either!
---With Cover Flow I updated the Album Art myself and have about 700 songs with art now. But I have two problems.
1. It won't display all 700 songs under Cover Flow!
2. It won't show them in order by song name! Can I change that?!? If not then how is it showing them by? What do I need to change?
---Are there any other video types supported besides that on Mpeg4 and that other weird type? If not why not? Its a pain to have to convert everything. Its almost not worth having this video IPOD if you have to go through sop much effort just to watch 1 stupid video. I mean I spent more money on extra programs now for music and videos then I did on the IPOD almost.
---Is there any way to transfer your music from one IPOD to another? I know some people say you can't but why? What about people like me who have music ripped from our own cds and NOTHING from ITunes? Cover flow on the ipod can only be done (as far as I know) on Album by Artist Name. On iTunes you can change it around

Try using freeware, heres an excellent video converter for iPods:

Serious Album Art Question!

here is the situation,
for the songs i have purchased it works perfectly,
however, for other songs that i have that i have applied album art too, even though when i select it in the iTunes the album art is the same for the whole album, for other albums it seems to pick other random album art for about 75% of the songs, this happened twice overall,
in that i have deleted all the songs and reloaded them twice so far and it still doesn't work
please help, feel free to ask any specific questions

So the wrong album art is showing up for some songs on your iPod?
Try this...
Connect the iPod to the computer. Go to edit-->preferences. Click the iPod tab. Make sure "Show artwork on iPod" is checked. If it is, uncheck it. Click ok. Now go back and recheck the option. Click ok. Wait for the iPod to update. Is the artwork now there and displaying correctly?
If not, then do the same steps again. However, this time, let the iPod update and then eject it once you uncheck the option. Then disconnect it from the computer. Now reconnect it and enable the option. iTunes should say "optimizng artwork for iPod"
If that doesn't work, you may need to restore...

Unique Album Art Question

I have spent days scouring these message boards to make sure I wasn't asking a repeat question. I am running iTunes 7.3.2 and I'm having a problem with album art making it to my video iPod. My iPod will not display album art for half of my music that HAS ALBUM ART APEARING IN ITUNES. I have copied and pasted, and I have clicked and dragged, but my iPod will not display album art for some of my music. EVEN SONGS I HAVE PURCHASED FROM THE iTMS.
When my iPod is plugged in to my computer, all of the tracks appear to have album art, but when I unplug it and select songs on my iPod, there are some songs, and some entire albums that HAVE ALBUM ART, but my iPod ignores this. Any suggestions?
I wasn't sure if this was an iTunes problem, or an iPod problem.

Have you tried restoring your ipod? That would be an easy, first step, provided you have all of your music and media still in your itunes library.

Album art screensaver question

I love this album art screensaver. I have a lot of album covers on itunes becuase of hte new downlaoding feature. But...even though i have the album in itunes, only a few show up when i run the screensaver. this is sort of annoying....and i dont understand why it is happening.

Yes, I have this issue as well. The art downloaded in iTunes does not register with the Album Art Screen Saver. The only art that is registered is that which was obtained through third party widgets. I can only assume that the missing art is not being stored in the proper folder. I hope someone has a fix for this.

Album Art Importing Question

Is there an easy way to import album art for cds I've loaded into my computer? There is a widget that imports art, although you have to manually type in every song. Is there a way to automatically do this?

There are lots of scripts and applications that can find artwork.
To name a few:
Clutter, iTunesCool, Corripio, Find Album Artwork with Google
You may find more on versiontracker.com.
Clutter was my favorite, but recently I've been using Corripio with a higher success rate.
It's still in development (version 0.4.5) but looks promising.

Uploading album art question? I have the artwork.

OK I have the album artwork I am trying to upload in a folder in "my pictures" on my fifth gen I pod. I can go to my library and upload the picture to each song on an album from my folder of album art but I'm unable to highlite and do the whole album in one shot , I have to click each individual song on the album and load the artwork.
My question is what am I missing in the whole process to load the artwork to the whole album on my i Pod without having to do it for each song on that album?
Thanks for the help I just figured there was some simple trick I was missing. I even tried the drag and drop method with no luck and I do have the artwork enabled and have all of the ones I did one at a time showing up.

In the search field in iTunes, type in the name of the album.
All the songs in the album should appear. Click one of them. Now go to edit-->select all.
All the songs in that album should be highlighted.
Right click one, making sure that all stay highlighted. Go to get info. Click yes to the message the appears.
On the right side of the window that appears is an area for album art. Right click the box and go to paste. The album art should now appear there. Check the box next to the artwork box. Click OK.
Those songs should now have that piece of artwork.
