Quick story then question.....

My friend brought over his iphone,he doesn't have a computer but wanted to update to 2.0.It said that becuase this was not the computer he synced with originally that if he did update it would erase all music,video etc.He did it anyways.Then he wanted a movie added on to his iphone,so I bought one with my account then added it to his phone.This is the weird part,it took like 3 hrs literally to go from itunes to his phone.I then put it on my ipod and it took like 2-3 mins.My question is why did it take so long to transfer from my itunes to his iphone? Some of the information from his iPhone was backed up when he did the update.
The first sync took so long because it was restoring that backup and adding the movie, and possibly creating a backup of the information synced with the iPhone.
You can look for the backup by going to the iTunes Preferences -> Syncing and you will see a list of backups done of the iPhone.

I'm having problems with my Xbox 360 and one of the possible problems is this DHCP thing. However I have no idea how to find the settings for my router on my computer. You need to access your router to check if the DHCP is on. To access the router open your browser and type in http://192.168.1.1 into the address field and hit enter. That should open the routers log on screen and by default the user is left blank (some routers it is admin) and the password is abmin. If you changed your routers password as you should for security reasons then use that password. That will bring you to your routers user interface and on the main set up page should be your DHCP.

I am having the same problem. Did turning off iCloud work? Did you just turn everything off or did you actually delete the account off your iPod?

I have checked the cooling fan, and it's working, and I took it to an IT technician and he said my hardware is allright, so is it a problem from the OS it self??

Restart with the Option key held down and the Mac OS X install disk inserted, provide the firmware password, click on the DVD, press the button with the straight arrow, access the firmware settings, disable the password, and use FireWire Target Disk mode. Quick SAP Script question New Page Print

Quick SAP Script question
I have added a new page to an existing SAP Script BUT only want it to print if a condition is true.
I need to do this from within the form as the print program is SAP Std.
Any idea how I can prevent the new page from printing?
i.e. I need the form NOT to call the new page if the condition is false. Is there a way of forcing an exit or stop from with in the form?

To trigger a new page, there is script ediotr command NEW-PAGE.
so find where is that command is triggered and use the below code for trigger it on any specific condition....
if &condition& = 'True'
/* NEW-PAGE
elseif
/: NEW-PAGE
endif
so it means if condition is satisfied your new page will not work.. else it will...

MacBook Pro crashed, and then question mark folder appeared

So I have a MacBook Pro, the other day I left my computer on sleep mode as I always do. I open my computer to find a screen that is slightly grey, like the picture link: http://farm1.staticflickr.com/55/126466201_486bff5598.jpg
I've had this happen to me before, and so I restarted it without worries.
First I held down the Power button for 3-5 seconds and then it powered off.
I'm not one to have patients as I am a teenager, so I quickly booted the computer on.
I had the signature Mac chime, and then it went to a grey screen, I went to get something to drink, as I remembered Mac's take quite the time to boot back up.
I came back to the same grey screen with a flashing folder with a question mark on it. I was now in panic mode. I lucky had my trustee iPhone by my side and quickly described my problem, found many articles on solutions, but nothing truly worked. I tried the "Hold C and turn on power at the same time", "Safe boot by holding Shift", "Try PRAM", and blah blah blah.
At first I was missing my Install disc, as many of the articles stated, my problem may be resolved by using the disc. I am a teenager, this disc could be ANYWHERE, so thinking on my feet, I went to my mothers laptop case and found her Install disc (which was 10.6.7, my computer was running 10.6.3). I didn't realize the difference until much later.
After a few hours of trying to fiddle around with my moms disc, I decided to go on a hard core hunt for my disc.
Hours later, my room in a huge mess, I found my disc, under my bed (of course).
It took me an hour to figure out how to get my moms stuck disc out of my MacBook.
I found that solution through another article.
So I put in my Install disc and I went to go backup my MacBook with my external hard drive, and I went through the steps required and I thought forsure it was fixed and done, until this: http://tinypic.com/r/hupto4/5
I'm stuck.
I've been sitting trying to fix this for at least 12 hours now, and I have had minimal success.
--Questions
1.) Could I have damaged something, by putting my moms install disc in?
2.) Where did my hard drive go? Could I have possibly deleted it?
3.) Is this the end for my MacBook Pro?

MacBook Pro
Bought: Last year (but on the back it says 2010)
Snow Leoperd
OS X 10.6.3

Quick CSS box question

Hi guys,
Firstly a very Merry Christmas to you all !
I'm just getting to grips with converting all the text on my
site to CSS and have a quick question.
On some of my pages I add an 'Also see' links box aligned to
the right - it's a CSS div tag thingy someone kindly talked me
through once. All of my pages are built from a template with an
editable region.
My question is, can I add this box (perhaps with a standard
'Also check out' title and then spaces for my links) at the
template level? This will save me having to go to Insert>Layout
Objects>DivTag on every page. I've tried simply adding this to
the editable region of the template but it simply pushed the
editable region box over to the right and then didn't appear on my
pages
Also, the links box would ideally appear about half way down
my pages on the right...

Your CSS link implies that the CSS file is in the Templates
folder. You
shouldn't have anything there other than the template (dwt)
files
themselves. Please move it out to any other location in your
site.

A Few Quick Lenovo T410 Questions

Hi all,
I posted here quite a while ago about my 9 cell battery in my integrated graphics T410 only lasting up to 5 hours. I have yet to send the notebook in simply because I haven't been able to go without it. However, I plan to do so at the start of this next week. Before I do so I was going to swap out the 500GB 7200.1RPM hard drive I installed with the 250GB 5400RPM drive that came with the notebook to see if it was an excessive power issue with the drive.This is where my worries are.
When I inserted the 500GB hard drive into the drive tray, I had a very hard time screwing the tray in place. The screws were damaged in the process, and I have worries about taking them out, and putting them back in again. I am still under warranty.
Am I able to recieve a new set of these screws?
Also, 2 quick questions
I plan on moving my 500GB drive into the slot where my optical drive is now, and putting a SSD in wheremy 500GB drive is located now. Do I need to buy anything special to make this work?
I also plan on upgrading from the 2x2GB RAM I installed myself (machine came with 1x2GB), to 4x2GB. Is this RAM compatible?

I think only lenovo techs can determine or tell that, but my guess is that if they feel they need to be replaced, then they probably will.

Quick photo ordering question...

I am in the process of ordering a bunch of photos, and I have a question: When I select the photos, say 25 of them, then select "Order Prints", I see all of my photos in a list, but I have to select the quantity for EACH PHOTO! Is there ANY way I can just say "print 1 4x6 of all pictures"? I will be doing more photos and I hate to have to go to each one if I have an album of 40-50 pictures.

Up in the top right corner, you should see a Quick Order label and a double-arrow button. Click the up button once and it will do exactly what you want.

Quick dynamic update question

Quick time zone question

I am using Java to do some date/time formating and have a quick question.
Is Indiana's timezone "IET"? I know most of Indiana doesn't observe daylight savings time, but they are eastern when things are normal... IET seems to produce the correct time, but I just wanted to double check before I make any assumptions. Thanks for the info.

Actually it is "America/Indianapolis". Those three-character abbreviations have been deprecated because they are ambiguous (both North America and Australia have "eastern" times, for example).
If you have a Java 1.4 SDK, then have a look in this directory:
C:\j2sdk1.4.1\jre\lib\zi
(modify according to where you actually installed the SDK); each file in that directory tree represents a timezone.

Quick qmaster sharing question

Just a quick question. Should I turn on and off sharing for my 8 instance cluster as I get ready to use compressor and qmaster, or can I just leave it on all the time. Does it slow other things down if sharing is enabled all the time?

You should be ok with just leaving it on. As long as QMaster isn't encoding anything, then it just sits there.
