Quick Time additional software

(Sorry for the previous topic, I've made a mistake...) Hi, I've a problem with Quick Time Pro: when I open some video files, I don't hear the audio and it comes a message that says that "quick time requires an additional software to play this file"; it leads me to a page of apple.com where there are a lot of links to download codec and other... My question is: what I have to download to play also the audio of these files?

How to locate a Quick Time Pro software download on my iPad 2?

Hi there,
I recently purchased Quick Time 7 Pro for OS X on my iPad 2 but cannot locate the download. The Apple Store advises that the software has been delivered electronically but does not state where. I have received an Apple invoice with the registration code.
Can anyone advise me where I can locate the software download?

If you bought this for your iPad, you won't have much success. Quick Time Pro is an OS X plug-in, not an iPad app. You can't actually download software to an iPad, other than an App from the App Store. The software you purchased should be on your Mac.

Downloading iTunes and Quick Time in Software Update with Error

When I was upgrading my iTunes software (the mobile me and safari went fine). This error message pops up.

I do not have a disk G on my computer so I do not know where I need to clear this from. If you could help, that would be great, if you need more information from my computer please ask.

Even though it refers to a slightly different errror message, I would try the following user tip:
"Invalid Drive X:\" install errors

I have asked iTunes to print a cover and get a Windows failed and it shuts down iTunes. The iTunes support asks for a serial number. My previous iTunes won't print CD cover is what started this. I have removed and reinstalled the iTunes, Quick Time etc

I have removed and reinstalled iTunes Version 11, Quick Time, Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Device, Bonjour, and Apple Applications Support. I received this instruction from "http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923. I reinstalled Version 11 and it still will not print the CD covers and shuts down sometimes when I ask it to print. I hope they will find a way to make it work.

Well my first guess was wrong. The line that failed is the one that writes out the image to disk. I've not revisited the code for that script for ages, but it seems I did add in an extra test for missing files a little while later, then forgot to upload the change. I can reproduce the error message if I deliberately rename a file to confuse iTunes so that seems the most likely reason for your problem with the script. I've uploaded a new build of CreateFolderArt which should work better.
See FindTracks for a tool to repair broken links. You should probably get that issue fixed first.
I know what SPSS stands for but that is all I know about it.

And on yesterday when was imported lens flares effect of myvideo in ADOBE PREMIERE CS6, its failed. Only audio can be imported.
Theres no effect. I try many times but still fail. None at all texts error. But if I click on the flares in MY VIDEO, its working, no problem at all...!
Only fail in Adobe. This was happened last year, I ve forgot how I fix it. (Installed Quick Time Movie software ?)
I ve installed Quick Time Movie yesterday , but there is absolutely no reaction.

You might try adding Perian. It can help QT play a with a wide variety of formats.

I believe there is a technique which uses some similar suggestion to unwittingly tempt the user into installing malware, in order to be able to watch some (usually sexually explicit) video, so be aware of this ruse.
The only things I would download would be Perian that extends Quicktime, available here,

and if that did not do it, then try VLC to use instead of Quicktime.

I am trying to view the footage shot in DVCproHD. I can hear people talking, but all I can see is a black screen.
When I try to open a clip, I get the message "additional software is required for QuickTime to playback this media. It may be available from the QuickTime Components page."
When I click on "continue," it takes me to a page with 11 different components listed, but no hint as to which component will help me view the .mov files.
Any idea what additional software I need to view these Hi Def files?

A friend of mine let me know that for $80 I could get 'Calibrated{Q} XD Decode'. That software requires Mac intel -- but I have access to such a machine in my office so I am good to go. Thanks to everyone who tried to help me.

If you mean you are trying to play a file and the QT icon with a quesion mark appears in the display area, then this means the play has reached a programming disjunction and doesn know what to do—i.e., the player recognizes the content but something is preventing proper playback is telling the user it has a question as to how the content is to be played. In such cases you normally have to determine what content, what file container, and which player version is involved before you can decide how to best fix the problem.

Try deleting the .plists.
Application corruption problems: You need to look in your user Library/Preferences for the .plist. Hold down the option key while using the Finder "Go To Folder" command. Enter ~`/Library. Delete the .plist(s) for the application.
If you prefer to make your user library permanently visible, use the Terminal command found below.

You might want to bookmark the command. I had to use it again after I installed 10.8.2. I have also been informed that if you drag the user library to Finder it will remain visible.

I am sorry to hear nothing has worked yet. I have looked up some additional information and possible solutions. Follow the steps in this document to perform a level-three uninstall, register the Windows Installer Service, and then reinstall the HP software. An uninstall and reinstall of the software deletes and overwrites any of the files that might cause the error and resets the Windows Installer. HP recommends that you download the latest software from the HP Web site to remove any files that might be causing this error.

Note: The title of this document is not specific to the issue you are experiencing or the operating system you have, but the 3 steps and instructions are what I suggest we do to resolve the issue you are experiencing.
