Quick time not up to date

can not download or even open itunes
show error that quicktime is not up to date
when i try to up date quicktime it says not update is needed

Your profile shows you are using Leopard (OS X 10.5.8), which is now more than three years old. Is this correct?
The current iTunes (11.0.5) cannot run on such an old version of OS X.

One thing that might help out.
make sure the iphone is up to date by connecting the iphone to itunes and click the button to check for updates.

Quick time not showing on Websites

I have an issue with quick time not showing up on a website I frequent. All I see, is the "Q". It will not load the audio. The site in question is Vicfirth dot com. This is not a solicitation. I'm just confused if it is my computer or the web site.

I am running Windows XP SP2 with V 7.1.3 of Quicktime. Every time I lauch QT, I get the error message:
"Some of your Quick time is out of date. You can fix this problem by updating to the latest version."
I have gone onto Apple's web site and got the very latest I can see of QT, and no matter what I keep getting this message. I have 400 PC's in a school district that every time they lauch QT it gets this error. There are 2 tabs "update now" or "cancel". If we select Update now, it doesn't update because we already have the latest. So we just have to do "cancel". Has anyone seen this? Please help.

I posted a similar problem. I removed everything and in addition I removed two Quick Time files in System32. I reinstalled everything and it worked. For details read my posted problem and the solution

Quick Time files out of date

Any time I start itunes or use the Apple site, I get a pop up stating "Some of your Quick Time software is out of date. You can fix this by updating to the latest version (then choices of: 'Cancel', 'Do it now')". If I select 'Do it now', I get a second pop up which says "Information received from the Quick Time Server is Invalid. Please try again later."
Itunes seems to work if I select "Cancel". The Apple site keeps giving me the same popups.
I have uninstalled, and reinstalled Itunes/Quicktime with no impact. I've tried the "DO it now" both behind a firewall and on an 'open' home DSL line with the same next pop up.

I get this exact error message. I've been getting this error message for a long time. I've reinstalled itunes and quick, both together and individually, many times and I have updated numerous times since I began getting this message. Just like the person from the post, I can't seem to figure it out, but it is described accurately. The error appears every time I open itunes or quicktime, and if I click update I get the same second error message. iTunes seems to work fine after the messages, but how would I know if I am missing out on something?

Something is blocking the communication of the auxilairy services (quicktimeserver) with AE. Check your firewall and virus scanner and make them behave. also make sure to run with sufficient user privileges.

Quick time is not working in safari after downloading flip4mac. How do I get quick time to work within safari? It was working prior to flip4mac being installed but I need flip4mac for some websites.

Make sure the first two boxes are checked. Check the 3rd box if you want the QT controller to be displayed.

hey, ive been using itunes for quite some time now.
After every new update of it comes out, i upgrade it... Durr.
Well, this time, its different. it gets stuck somewhere/Somehow on installing Quick Time. I made a short video consisting of the installation, just please watch below.
In order to not have a 1000 mb video, i kept pausing/unpausing it.

Made video's on my iphone and loaded them to my imac. Video did not work in iphoto. No Quick time pop up. what happened? Snow leopard install.

You need to re-install iPhoto because it's missing bits of itself:
Library not loaded...
Reason: no suitable image found.
Looking at the missing files it's possible that it's missing from the OS. But start with re-installing iPhoto, and if that fails you'll ned to re-install the OS.
To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2. Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only...’

ITunes 10.1.1. doesn't install due to Quick Time not installed correctly

Somebody please help me! I am trying to install iTunes 10.1.1. but always get the error "...QuickTime did not install correctly...". I have removed QuickTime and installed the latest version but still get the same error. I'm using Vista 32-bit.
Problem is that here in Africa downloads are extremely slow and expensive, I have already downloaded iTunes+QuickTime as well as QuickTime separately but always get the same error. Currently I am using iTunes 10.0.6.68, which works fine, but I cannot update the iPod software without iTunes 10.1.1.
Any solution that can work will be highly appreciated!

This drives me nuts. All I ask is that iTunes remembers how I like to sort my media, and that it plays in the order in which I have chosen to sort.
I've had this problem since I edited the "year" field in all my music, just so I could sort and listen to it chronologically. Isn't that the order that makes the most sense?
I figure it would only take a small edit to the iTunes programming so that it remembers the order in which you sort, instead of defaulting to alphabetical all the time.

Quick Time not installing

In the process of going from qt 7.1.3 to 652 I revoved the receipts from the library and downloaded the full 652 installer, which I then ran, yet after restart there is no QT on the hd. I have done this several times with the same results. Puzzelled.

Yeh, that's what it said, alright. But... I downloaded DivX from qt site, and got the same, "missing components" message; the sound would play but no video at all. Then I downloaded XvidDelegate and dropped it into the QT folder and the clip plays with a double image all streaky and dark. The file extension from the Samsung seems to be AVI, which is the same as the clips from the Canon that still play fine.
