    Quick SAP Script question
I have added a new page to an existing SAP Script BUT only want it to print if a condition is true.
I need to do this from within the form as the print program is SAP Std.
Any idea how I can prevent the new page from printing?
i.e. I need the form NOT to call the new page if the condition is false. Is there a way of forcing an exit or stop from with in the form?

    Hi,
To trigger a new page, there is script ediotr command NEW-PAGE.
so find where is that command is triggered and use the below code for trigger it on any specific condition....
    if &condition& = 'True'
    /*  NEW-PAGE
    elseif
    /: NEW-PAGE
    endif
so it means if condition is satisfied your new page will not work.. else it will...
    Hope you got it...
    Try this..
    Best luck..

  • I have what is hopefully a quick and easy question. I kno...

I have what is hopefully a quick and easy question. I know almost nothing about this stuff so go easy on me . All I need to do is find out if my DHCP is enabled. I'm having problems with my Xbox 360 and one of the possible problems is this DHCP thing. However I have no idea how to find the settings for my router on my computer. If it helps I have a Wirless model BEFW11S4. Thanks in advance for any help.

You need to access your router to check if the DHCP is on.  To access the router open your browser and type in http://192.168.1.1 into the address field and hit enter.  That should open the routers log on screen and by default the user is left blank (some routers it is admin) and the password is abmin.  If you changed your routers password as you should for security reasons then use that password.  That will bring you to your routers user interface and on the main set up page should be your DHCP.

  • MSI Z77 GD55 Slow BootingUp when plugged a Cardreader PROBLEM!!!!!!

I have Msi Z77 Gd55 mainboard. I like this mainboard but I have a little problem. If my card reader is connected via usb and also slots are empty, the first booting black screen is waiting for 10-15seconds. If not plugged it counts the codes in 2seconds and starts loading windows rapidly. It  waits at B4 debug code for 10-15 secs and then comes A2 and starts normally my windows.
I have tested other brand Card readers also with internal and external models but the problem  is the same. I dont have this problem with my other mobos only having at Z77 GD55.
I have disabled the card reader at the bios Booting/usb but didnt solve the problem exactly.
A bios update may solve this problem................

  • Z77 GD55 live update problem

Hello, I recently bought a z77 GD55 mainboard, the problem is when accessing live update or browser from the bios it never works.
First it asks me for a boot drive, I select the hard drive I am using( Windows is on it), and it simply goes to a black screen
I have read the Manuel and all it says to do is install winki which I have done, please help!

Did your mainboard come with the supplemental Software Application User guide? It covers Winki 'how to' fairly well as I recall. Personally, I would recommend to stay away from using any Live Update functions and do all updates and such manually.

  • MSI Z77 MPower : Newbie RAID question

    Hi,
I have a MSI Z77 MPower motherboard with a i5 3570k Processor. My OS and programs are installed on a 250 Gb SSD and I have a 600 Gb HDD for storage. I've had that last one for a while.
I'm looking to upgrade my storage and set up a NAS in my enclosure. I wanted to buy 2 identical 3 or 4 TB drives and hook them up with a RAID 1 configuration or buy 3 or more 1 to 4 TB drives and try a RAID 5 or 6 configuration. This would replace my 600 Gb HDD and be used for storage only (not OS).
Now I know my motherboard is supposed to be compatible with Raid 0 and 1 but I have a few questions :
1- Is it in fact compatible with raid 0 and 1 ?
2- Do I need a extra raid controller to go for a raid 5 or 6 configuration ?
3- Is the raid setup done in bios or in windows ?
4- Is there a guide on how to proceed I could look into ?
    Thanks

    1: yes!
2: yes for raid 6 and no for raid 5 as raid 6 you need a raid card for that as it takes more processing to accomplish that as its algorithm based! (for raid 5 or 6 you need 3 drives minimum in the array as one is used as redundancy)
3: to set up a raid array you may have to reinstall all your files/Programs as the operating mode changes as you have to make the drive mode RAID in integrated peripherals and then upon booting system you will be prompted to press CTRL+I to enter the intel RAID setup and you will be able to build the array there! (note to use the array you will need to make sure you have the intel raid drivers installed on your computers OS)
4: http://uk.msi.com/product/mb/Z77-MPOWER.html#/?div=Manual <--- thats the manual and it has a section devoted to setting up a raid array and stripe it accordingly!
    notes:
raid 0 2xdrives twice as fast as RAID 1 and you would have all the space of 2 drives but but has no redundancy so if a drive fails you have had it all is lost!(needs equip numbers of drives)
raid 1 has full fail safe redundancy but will only be as fast as a single drive as it writes the same data to both! (needs equip numbers of drives)
raid 5 has fast operation and 1 drive fail safe but takes processing to generate the array may have a slight hit on your processor if using one as that will do the calculations(minimum 3 drives as one will be used as a safety)
raid 6 is similar to raid 5 but is slightly less effective in writes but is quicker on reads and retains a fail safe feature but requires more processing by a dedicated card to do it(3 drives minimum)

  • Harm, looking for a quick answer on a RAID question...

I bought a G-Speed ES drive with the G-Tech RAID card, set up the drive yesterday, initialized it (took 9 hours!) as a RAID-5, and in the initiallization settings window I was asked what sector size I wanted. I did some quick research and found that bigger sectors are better with bigger files, so choose the maximum size available to me under the hardware RAID, which was 4k (I'm assuming that's 4096). Came into the office this morning and found the drive had finished the initilization and that Windows required me to create a "simple volume" on it before it could be used. I'm in the process of doing that, and have found that Windows is asking me to set a sector size again: This time my maximum option is 64k. Do I want to go with the maximum option of 64k, or do I have to use the 4096 which the hardware RAID used in initializing the array?

    David,
    This may be informative: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/wd-4k-sector,2554-3.html
With a sector size or cluster size of 4 KB, data are distributed across the partition in 4 KB parts. Suppose you have a 10 KB file, three full clusters will be occupied: 4 KB - 4 KB - 2 KB. The remaining 2 KB is called slackspace and can not be used by other files. With a block size (stripe) of 64 KB, data are distributed across the array disks in 64 KB parts. Suppose you have a 200 KB file, the first part of 64 KB is located on disk A, the second 64 KB is located on disk B, the third 64 KB is located on disk C and the remaining 8 KB on disk D. Here there is no slackspace, because the block size is subdivided into clusters. When working with audio/video material a large block size is faster than smaller block size. Working with smaller files a smaller block size is preferred.
Sometimes you have an option to set 'Chunk size', depending on the controller. It is the minimal size of a data request from the controller to a disk in the array and only useful when striping is used. Suppose you have a block size of 16 KB and you want to read a 1 MB file. The controller needs to read 64 times a block of 16 KB. With a chunk size of 32 KB the first two blocks will be read from the first disk, the next two blocks from the next disk, and so on. If the chunk size is 128 KB. the first 8 blocks will be read from the first disk, the next 8 block from the second disk, etcetera. Smaller chunks are advisable with smaller filer, larger chunks are better for larger (audio/video) files.
What you see as 'sector size' from Windows is better called the block size and for video you can best choose the maximum, in this case 64 KB.
BTW, also have a look at Adobe Forums: How to access more than 2 TB of disk...

  • A Quick Question: RAID Configuration

    Hi Guys
Following on from Greg's thread on an optimum system, I'm having my PC upgraded this afternoon by a visiting engineer (current specs below). RAM is being increased to 12gb and my cheap ATI Radeon video card is being replaced by a Nvidia FX3800.
My question is; I'm having a 3rd HDD installed as well and then have the 3 discs configured in a RAID format. I know there are a couple of versions ('0', etc) and I wonder what people's views are on the most reliable type of RAID?
Any advice would be welcome here.

Now Harm, you've really piqued my curioisty with this last reply. I just today received two WD Caviar Black 640GB hard drives to set up in a simple RAID 0 arrangement running off the motherboard. Already have 'em in the computer case. I've been working on my computer for three weeks, upgrading as I could, and planned to finally get up-n-running with CS5 tomorrow.
I figured all was about to be rosy here with my Canon T2i and its AVCHD clips, because I was planning on using NeoScene to convert my highly compressed footage to something more processor friendly. It didn't occur to me that NeoScene might transcode to a format that overwhelms a two-disk RAID 0. Improve one problem and create another?
Seemingly, native AVCHD clips only require about 5 MB/sec from a hard drive, so getting multiple layers coming off the drive(s) isn't an issue with AVCHD. The problem is that the CPU I have - AMD Phenom II 955 -  can't decode them fast enough. Clearly, it would be better to migrate to an i7 platform, but I don't have the money or time to do it this summer. In the meantime, I'm kicking around with one of my AMD computers I built for less taxing school usage this past spring. As of today, I have a simple RAID planned that should bump my disk transfer rates up past 160MB/sec. It's my first RAID setup so I'm pretty excited.
Should I be planning for rain on this picnic?
With a RAID 0 and transcoded NeoScene footage, I figured I would have a drive system able to deliver to the CPU fast enough and clips that not only are more digestible, but have the improved color space of 4:2:2 that comes from the NeoScene transcode. I was hoping to get at least four or five layers going with the GTX 480 card I got on sale last month (another piece for the i7 if needed). I plan on doing a LOT of chroma keying, and from what I read, the NeoScene transcode will improve our work in Ultra. Don't really know, but this is what I glean from other posts and the Cineform website.
From another of your posts, I take it my CPU won't get close to saturating this fast video card. But the price was right and I have my eye to the future.
I have a four disk setup planned:
    * 1TB Caviar Green for OS/Programs (already had this as my main disk, and drive charts show it hanging tough in middle of the pack)
    * 750GB Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000 for scratch disk (also had this one lying around, but was a top performer 18 months ago)
    * A pair of  640GB (32MB cache, twin processor) Caviar Blacks as mentioned for RAID 0. Drive charts still show this two year old design working in top quarter of range.
OK Harm, here are my two questions:
    1) I can leave my AVCHD clips as-is and watch my processor choke on them, I suppose. Even the GTX 480 can't fix this, nor will sending these clips faster yet to the CPU.
Or, I can transcode to something my weak CPU can work with. Time lost transcoding and a pain, but still part of the learning process and perhaps a good stop-gap measure until I can afford a better platform.
    2) NeoScene was my choice from the smattering of things I have found that describe workarounds on the AVCHD compression problem. This could have been $130 towards a better computer, but the aspect of get 4:2:2 color sounds good to my inexperienced ear. Maybe a good idea on its own and a decent fix to the AVCHD choking problem.
Do you have an opinion on this plan/equipment setup?
Do you know of a better transcode from AVCHD that makes for mid-sized files that are easier on a CPU but still manageable by a basic RAID 0 arrangement?

  • Quick (and urgent) Question about Intel G5's

Just a quick question about the new intel G5's.
I currently have bunch of software for my PPC G5 which is a Dual 2ghz. Software includes Adobe CS2, Macromedia Studio, Quark 6, etc, etc.
If I purchase the new intel mac, would I be able to use the same software? or would I be forced to purchase a whole new set of everything I currently have?
If the software will work on the intel G5, would it perform at the same rate/better than how it performs now on my PPC g5?
Thanks in advance for any help.

    Rosetta:
Most of the time you get a real 'hit' when a program first opens that is PPC. Very sluggish. They will require and use more memory than otherwise, too.
Tests from last August aren't as helpful, there have been improvements, letting the Mac Pro pull even further ahead.
    http://www.barefeats.com/quad06.html
Comparison Mac Models shows scores of all models. So there is 2x as much or more processing power, bandwidth, better video, as well as disk drives. A 'base' configuration would be 4-6GB RAM.
And there are differences, more than between G4 and G5.
People with experience would be Mac Pro Discussions
Don't use Migration Assistant, and upgrade to CS3 etc. reinstall all your applications fresh.

  • X99s Questions - Raid, Overclocking, BIOS config

    Hi,
I just got x99s SLI - pretty happy so far. I am running 5820k at 3800mhz (oc genie), and h80i liquid cooler. Installation was a walk in the park. Fastboot is insanely quick.
I have run into a problem however.
I am running stripe raid from two 512gb Corsair SSD's. On first config everything went great - just over 1gb/s transfer rates for both read and write. Perfect.
Excuse me if I sound dumb below, I am just an enthusiast, not an expert.
After installing updates via MSI Live Update, and working my way to updating bios from 1.30 to 1.40 - the bios was reset and raid was lost.
I tried reconfiguring raid through bios again - but one of the volumes was configured as RAID and other wasn't. So I could never select one of them to 'rebuild' the existing raid. I remember doing this two system builds ago and it worked great. I in fact moved the drives to another system and was able to get them recognized as system volume and boot on new hardware.
    So Question 1 is:
What is the MSI expected way of managing through losing RAID configurations? This might happen again if bios is reset due to updates or some overclocking problem.
    Question 2:
Is there some way of saving bios configuration out? Can it be preserved between bios updates?
    Question 3:
Does MSI/Intel offer any utilities to rebuild RAID volumes?
    Question 4:
I've lost ability to CTRL+I (thats screen doesn't come up anymore), once I've configured the first RAID. Should all configurations be done only through UEFI?
    Thank you!
    Otherwise love my new build.

to 1: Re-enable the RAID config should auto restore predefined and existing RAID config
to 2: Nope, this would be potential dangerous with risk of brick boards.
Saving BIOS settings should be only used [saved & restored] if they are from the same BIOS versions.
Using them on different BIOS versions would cause a mess up and could brick the BIOS
to 3: this usually can be done with Intel® Rapid Storage Technology tool:

  • MSI K7N2 Delta ILSR Questions & RAID Promise FastTrak Controller Issue

I have recently rebuilt my system replacing the MSI KT3 with an MSI K7N2 Delta. I have been impressed with the features and stability of the system, however, I have some questions that I hope some of you that have more experience of this board can answer:
    1. I am using the AMD Athlon XP 2200 (and all the other components including the Lian Li case) which I was using on the KT3 board. The CPU temperature is around 45 degrees C but on the KT3 it was only 35 degrees C when idle. Any ideas ? The heatsink is definetly mounted properly. The temperature did drop by 10 degrees C when I flashed the
BIOS to fix the known CPU temperature issue but I think its still high.
    2. I do not have any serial ATA devices or anything connected to IDE3 channel and during the BIOS boot up I get the message:
"No drives attached to FastTrak Controller. Bios Not installed."
Is this correct ? Should I be getting this message ?
I would like to disable the onboard Promise Controller since it is taking up resources and it slows down the boot speed (although only slightly). The MSI website says that the onboard RAID controller can't be disabled. I think this is poor design. Does anyone know if this is going to be addressed in future BIOS releases ?
    3. Which of the USB ports are USB 2.0 and USB 1.1. I thought it was rather strange that only 2 of the 4 ports on the header actually active.
    Many thanks for your help.
    Rupesh

First off your temp is ok on that board. If you have not loaded the onboard raid driver do so and it is something you have to suffer with on the MSI board. All of your USB ports should run at USB 2.0 and you also should be able enable all of them in the bios.

  • Quick CSS box question

    Hi guys,
Firstly a very Merry Christmas to you all !
I'm just getting to grips with converting all the text on my
site to CSS and have a quick question.
On some of my pages I add an 'Also see' links box aligned to
the right - it's a CSS div tag thingy someone kindly talked me
through once. All of my pages are built from a template with an
    editable region.
My question is, can I add this box (perhaps with a standard
'Also check out' title and then spaces for my links) at the
template level? This will save me having to go to Insert>Layout
Objects>DivTag on every page. I've tried simply adding this to
the editable region of the template but it simply pushed the
editable region box over to the right and then didn't appear on my
    pages
Also, the links box would ideally appear about half way down
    my pages on the right...
Hope you can help, many thanks in advance!

box on the right of the page...

Your CSS link implies that the CSS file is in the Templates
    folder. You
shouldn't have anything there other than the template (dwt)
    files
themselves. Please move it out to any other location in your
    site.
