Quicken 2007 investment data transfer to Quicken Essentials for Mac

Will my 10 plus years of investment data transfer from Quicken 2007 for Windows to Quicken Essentials for Mac without loss of data?

There is a version of Quicken 2007 for Lion and Mountain Lion available. If you own Quicken 2007 for Mac, it is a US$15 upgrade.
Many Users balked at the loss of capabilities in having to move to Quicken Essentials, and Quicken eventually came around and "ported" Quicken 2007 so that it could run on 10.7 and later. I run it and it mostly works, but for tax estimates, they force you to their online tax estimator or suggest you buy their stand-alone product that will accept tax info from Quicken -- no more ballpark estimates from inside Quicken.

It appears the conversion from Quicken for PC is incomplete, and requires generation of a QIF file which is then imported:

  • Uninstall quicken essentials for mac using lion

Bought Quicken Essentials for Mac.  Am using Lion.  I've found out that I can't use my old files on Quicken for mac 2004 with the new Quicken program.  I'd like to uninstall Quicken Essentials so I can install the 2004 version.  Help?

Quicken '04-'07 won't run under Lion. Your only option is to restore your Snow Leopard or earlier backup/clone or Time Machine backup and use that with Quicken. Do note that you should be able to import your old data file to Essentials, but that's a WAG and you need to inquire at https://qlc.intuit.com/app/full_page#

  • Refund Quicken Essentials for Mac

Hi, I would like to refund my purchase of Quicken Essentials for Mac.
I purchased this item on Aug 04, 2014 and I found out that Intuit has a refund policy
"All Quicken products have an unconditional 60-day money back satisfaction guarantee.   You can return Quicken for any reason within 60 days and receive a full refund of the purchase price not including shipping and handling fees."
    in http://quicken.intuit.com/support/help/shopping-and-buying/terms-and-conditions- for-exchanging--returning-or-refunding-quicken-products/GEN83258.html
Therefore, I tried to report claim and get a refund with https://reportaproblem.apple.com/, but it said my purchase is not eligible for refund, which appears to be different from what Intuit homepage shows.
How would I be able to get refund for this purchase?
    Thank you!

That's not what the Inuit web site says:

  • Quicken Essentials for Mac

I recently purchased an iMac to replace my much older Mac on which I used an old version of Quicken. The old version is not recognized on my new computer. I did very basic transactions on Quicken -- I only really used it as a checkbook register. Only I tried setting up a Numbers file, I don't find it user-friendly. I like the categories and reconciling features of Quicken.
Quicken Essentials for Mac has terrible reviews. However, I am not sure all those reviewing it have such basic needs as I do. If anyone has it, how would you rate it as simply for its checkbook register program?

    jsander6,
As a basic checkbook register program it works just fine. I couldn't use it because the first version had no checkwriter. (yes I still cut checks). The most recent version now includes check writing so I need to give it another look.
I think you'll be happy with it for the purposes you intend.
    Regards

  • How to install SQL Developer Data Modeler 3.1.1 for Mac OS X?

How do I install SQL Developer Data Modeler 3.1.1 for Mac OS X? I downloaded the file "datamodeler-3.1.1-703-macosx.gz" from OTN, but there is only a single file inside this archive - "datamodeler-3.1.1-703-macosx". What am I missing here?
    Thanks in advance...

Extract that file and then run it.
Once you installed the tool to your Applications folder (if you choose to move it to Applications), you'll need to install Java (maybe).
What version of OS X are you on?
In a command window/terminal, type 'java -version'
If you get something back like 'java version "1.6..." then you're all good.
If you're on Mountain Lion, then type 'java' instead. That should download java for you.
Once you've got java available, then launch SQL Developer Data Modeler.
The installation notes are here if you want the official list of instructions

  • Quicken Essentials for Mac 2010 - Release date confirmed.

I spoke with Quicken support this morning and they informed me that this new version for Mac will be available for Purchase/Download on Feb 22, 2010.
For those who have "Pre-Ordered" a confirming email will be sent.

We are users the same as you in others words we wouldn't know anything about an Intuit product before you. I would suggest you visit a Intuit forum to see if there any new news about Quicken 2010.

  • TDMS Data transfer Step : Long runtime for table GEOLOC and GEOOBJR

    Hi Forum,
The data transfer for tables GEOLOC and GEOOBJR is taking too long (almost 3 days for 1.7 million records). There are no scrambling rules applied on this tables. Rather I am using TDMS for the first time so I am not using any scrambling rules to start with.
Also there are 30 process which have gone in error. How to run those erreneous jobs again??
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Anup

    Thanks Harmeet,
I changed the write type for those activities and re-executed them and they are successfully completed.
Now the data transfer is complete but I see a difference in no of records for these two tables (Geoloc and Geoobjr).
Can you please let me know what might be the reason?
    Regards,
    Anup

  • Moving mail data from mail to Outlook for Mac.

I am moving old PC mail data (outlook 2007) to Mac. I used the mac mover, which was great but...  it has moved my old mail data to mac mail.  I am trying to export that data now (on the mac mail) to then import into Outlook for Mac, but not getting anywhere?  Outlook support says it will import the data as a mac export txt file, but whenever i try and import Outlook can not see the file.
I have also tried to just export the mail data from one mac users mail app to another and that is also not working.  Import mail function reports format error, even though it is from the same version of mail on the same machine.
any suggestion, links to info much appriciated.

  • Transfer files from QuickBooks for Mac to TurboTax in Windows 2000

How can it be done to transfer QuickBooks for Mac data into TurboTax on a Windows 2000 PC? Is there any kind of utility program or file converter?
I already know there is NO BUILT-IN SUPPORT in QuickBooks or TurboTax for import/export if the two programs are not on the same computer. Also, Intuit does not have any kind of utility or converter to pass files between Mac and Windows.
Also, I spoke to an Apple technical support person who said that Boot Camp will not support Windows 2000.
Does anyone have any bright ideas on how to get the data out of QB into TT?

You should really consider posting your question on the QuickBooks community forums, as if anyone has any experience doing it, you'll find them there.

  • Slow transfer rates using MSN for mac

I'm trying to send files from MSN (for Mac) to an MSN (Windows) client. I'm beind a linksys WRT54G wireless router. Everything is set up well as far as the internet goes (browsing, downloading, uploading etc.). My problem is that when I try to send a file from my computer to another one, it takes forever! [A 2 MB video took over 5 minutes to send]
How can I increase the speed of the transfer? And which ports can I open to increase the speed.
    Thanks in advance.

    Solved.
