Quicken, Office, Adobe CS all quit unexpectedly immediately

Question

On approximately around 8/7 some of my applications (Quicken 2007, Office 2008, Adobe CS) started quitting unexpectedly immediately after I open them. Here's the report I get:

There was a security update around this time, that's the only thing I can think of that changed but may be unrelated. I tried to fix permissions. I am in the process of reinstalling office.
At first I thought that it was only the PowerPC apps that were crashing until I found that Office was crashing too which is a Universal app.
