Quicker photos are being skipped in playback ??? and export problem

The photos in my project that are around 00:00:00:10 and less are being skipped over when i replay everything. A few of the photos need to be set at a quick speed so i can get a moving stop animation effect. Can anyone help me with this problem, it would be greatly appreciated. Also when i export the video as a quicktime file and play it, only goes for 2 seconds? The total duration should be 1min. I have also double checked that i dont have anything specifically selected. HELP ME PLEASE !

Need some detail: photo height and width, seqeunce settings, export settings, which Premiere version and comp specs.

  • Playback and export problems

    Greetings,
I've just done a Leopard clean install on my Quad G5 (2.5 gigs RAM). So far, I've reformat my HD, install Leopard, install all apps from original CD's, the work!
I use STP as my main editor for a radio show. Normally, I import the music (AIFF), the voice clips (BWF) and do my editing without any problems. Since I've switch to Leopard, STP cannot playback any file without having audio dropout or glitches. It sounds like STP is not able to playback the imported files. And, btw, I'm having no problem to play those files in Quicktime, Audacity or Garageband. Perfect playback, without a glitch!
And if I try to export the project to MP3 or WAV, I'm having another problem with the resulting file: dropout and glitches at playback.
    Anyone seen that?
    Regards
    MD.

    INCROYABLE! But true!
I finally solved all my problems with Logic, Soundtrack Pro, GarageBand and tutti quanti. It's like having a new machine!
The solution? How did I solved it? It's right there, from an anonymous Applecare worker:

) Emptied system cache (library folder) and user account cache (username/libraryfolder).
    2) Shut down and unplugged my Mac for 5 minutes.
    3) Held down option + command + p + r keys to reset the system pram.
Like the good ol'time. A PRAM problem. Fiew!
The champagne is on me! We'll probably never know that guy's name, but many thanks to him. He's my hero tonight.

Open Activity monitor in Utilities, go to the CPU tab>All Processes, and note any process that would appear to be related to importing photos, such as iPhoto, and use Force Quit. This may only be a temporary fix, as it may start all over again when you reboot. If that happens, we need to do some more investigating.
Also, close all open Applications, then open Terminal in Utilities and copy/paste and hit return, then post the output of this command.

What Operating System are you running?
Mountain Lion there seem to be a glitch that continually ask this on quit.
You have  Apple Menu ()>force quit>iPhoto

Hi Ingo2711, Thanks a million for your reply.  That's probably what it is.  Now next thing, my iphone will not switch on at all.  No water damage or physical damage.  I brought to an irepair place and he was first able to see the photos on my phone somehow but when I brought it back to get fixed he couldn't.  I have been told by a few people that it may just be the charge port or battery or unfortunately the logic/motherboard.  What is my best bet? I'm not able to afford to get it officially fixed if it can be. Any recommendations?  By the way, thanks a million.

  • Since downloading iCloud, I am now receiving emails twice and also notes and photos are being doubled up.  Any ideas?

Since downloading iCloud, I am now receiving emails twice and also notes and photos are being doubled up on my phone.  Any ideas?

iCloud is not downloaded, it is a part of iOS5.
Do you possibly have iCloud and a MobileMe account set up on the device?  If so, remove the MobileMe account.

  • Recently upgraded my iphone to ios 7. I'm using icloud to backup the phone and I cannot tell which, if any, of my photos are being backed up.

I cannot tell which, if any, of my photos are being backed up from my iphone to icloud.  The "switch" at Settings>iCloud>Photos is "off" but when I try to turn it on all I get is two more options to turn on My Photo Stream and Photo Sharing.  I only want to back up my photos to iCloud so I can make sure I don't lose something when installing updates.

iCloud backs up the photos in your Camera Roll and keeps the last 30 days of photos in your Photo Stream if you have Photo Stream turned on. However, each backup overlays the previous one, and only the last three are kept, so if you start deleting photos from your camera roll, then the earlier ones would no longer be available for you to use as a backup.
iCloud is not intended as an archival storage of your photos. You should be importing your photos to either iPhoto on your Mac, or to your PC or to a photo archival cloud service like DropBox. If you rely on iCloud for full archival storage of your photos, you are going to end up losing valuable photos that you want to keep, because that is not the purpose of iCloud.

  • Photos are being added to my iPad, without choosing any events in iPhoto or having them sync with iCloud

Photos are being added to my iPad, without choosing any events in iPhoto or having them sync with iCloud
I just upgraded to IOS6, and now my ipad is full of pictures I did not choose to sync.
I cannot delete them without deleting them from all sources.
Actually, the message is when I go to hit EDIT, select a picture, and then choose DELETE: "This photo is used in an album. Do you want to delete it everywhere? Delete Everywhere"
Does that mean "Everywhere" on my iPad, or everywhere including whatever place on my computer it found the photos to begin with?
    PLEASE HELP
    Ps:
    I've already done this:
To delete photos from your device
In iTunes, select the device icon in the Devices list on the left. Click the Photos tab in the resulting window.
    Choose "Sync photos from."
On a Mac, choose iPhoto or Aperture from the pop-up menu.
On a Windows PC, choose Photoshop Album or Photoshop Elements from the pop-up menu.
Choose "Selected albums" and deselect the albums or collections you want to delete.
    Click Apply.

You can still sync the photos and keep the photos that are already on the device. You have to include all of the albums or events in the pictures folder that you sync from. If you are using iPhoto, select that in the Sync Photos from drop down menu and then select all of the albums or events that you want to sync. Make sure to check Selected Albums, events, faces and automatically include (no events). Using that option will allow you to choose exactly which albums and events to sync.
You have to remember that all photos must be included in every sync so you cannot sync photos from iPhoto today and then try to sync photos from another folder tomorrow, or you will erase all of the photos that were synced from iPhoto. You need to maintain one main Photos syncing folder for the photos that you want to transfer to the iPad. You can have subfolders within that one main folder and you can selectively sync those subfolders. You just have to place all of the photos that you want to sync into one main iPad syncing photos folder.
There are WiFi transfer apps that allow you to transfer photos to the iPad without having to sync with iTunes. I use this one. This app (and others like it) will allow you to use multiple computers to transfer photos.

  • Photos are being imported to the photo library... nothing being importe

I am trying to to upload my photos from iPhone4 (6.1.3) to iMac with Yosemite and iPhoto 9.6, but it's always the message "photos are being imported to the photo library" pop out without any photo being uploaded. (That forced me to force-quit iPhoto even when the phone is detached from iMac.)

Try the Image Capture application that comes with every Mac. It gives you a little more control over the import process.

  • I can't exit iPhoto or shut down my laptop - message saying  photos are being imported to the photo library - seems to be stuck  can anyone suggest what I should do?

I can't exit iPhoto.  Message come sup "Photos are being imported to the photo library. Please wait forimport to complete".  This has been some days now and Same message comes up if I try to shut laptop down.  Can anyone offer any suggestions please?

Use the Force Quit command under the Apple Menu.

  • There is a constant pop up message of "Photos are being imported to the photo library."

I cannot close my iPhoto or import any new photos. There is a constant pop up message of "Photos are being imported to the photo library." However, I am NOT importing anything to the library. This is very frustrating.
I cannot force quit. I even tried shutting down the computer manually. When my BRAND NEW IMAC starts back up, the same problem persists.
I also tried re-importing photos from my camera and flip camera. My iPhoto will not allow an import because these non existent photos are being imported. HELP PLEASE!

Force Quit iPhoto. It's under the Apple Menu.

  • I can't shut down iphoto, it continues to say "photos are being imported to the library"

I tried to download about 70 photos from my camera and it kept saying 1 photo remaining for over 30 minutes so I removed my camera and just figured there was something wrong with the download.  Now, when I try to shut down iphoto it continues to say "Photos are being imported to the photo library.  Please wait for import to complete."  This has been going on now for 2 hours.

Type Command+Option+Esc and in the Force Quite Applications window select iPhoto and force quit it.
