Quicktime 7 not playing videos from Itunes...

So recently I noticed my Quicktime 7 has been acting strange. It used to play all my videos flawlessly... it still does, although i've noticed movies bought from the itunes store wont play anymore. When I try to open the file on QT 7 I get the black screen but then It exits out and I get the "Quicktime 7 Has Quit Unexpectedly" and I get the Kern_Protection_Failure log ( whatever that is) It's weird, before every file i tried worked perfectly, but now I cant get them to play.... Is There any fix to this or has Quicktime 7 completely stopped supporting movies/videos from Itunes? ******Oh, by the way They DO however play in Quicktime X****** I''m running 2009 macbook pro 13-inch OSX 10.6.8 and All software is up to date. It's getting frustrating. I've looked all over but no luck. Any Help Would be appreciated. Thanks

1. Close all apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two. Tap the minus sign to close app.
2. Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo.

AppleTV is not playing media from iTunes

I have a 500GB+ iTunes library on a FireWire external. I have always been able to pull up my TV Shows, Movies etc from either of my AppleTVs. I have a 2nd Gen in my living room and a 3rd Gen in my bedroom.
Suddenly, over a week ago, both decided that they did not want to play any of my videos from iTunes any more.
I can navigate to Computers, select either Movies or TV Shows, navigate the full list in either... but when you press play, you get this...
The TV will sit and spin for hours upon hours.
Here is what I have done to try to resolve this issue...
Restored both AppleTVs to factory settings, updated to the latest available OS.
Logged out of Home Sharing on my iMac and back in.
Moved my AppleTVs to 5GHz WiFi
Rebooted my iMac
Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm going mad!

I have a very similar issue with a comparable time frame. Mine eventually tells me that the computer is not authorized, although it is. I can still watch content streaming from Apple's servers, but not streaming from my hard drive. I'm on a Windows computer hosting the library, and had issues with jerky video for a week prior to this new issue. I have rebooted the computer multiple times to no avail, and have even tried running iTunes with an administrator account.

Iphoto '11 slideshow does not play music from iTunes

I cannot get iPhoto Slideshow to play music from iTunes. I read one suggestion to go to iTunes > File > Library > Organize Library > and select REORGANIZE library. When I do this it does not allow me to REORGANIZE, I can only CONSOLIDATE.

Then your iTunes library is already organized according to the latest format. See this document on the organisation of the iTunes Library :

Sometimes the database files inside your iTunes Library can get corrupted.
Try to rebuild the file "iTunes Music Library.xml" as described here:

I'm not sure if "Consolidate" can help in this situation - it will move all songs into your iTunes Library, so that they can be easier found, but not recreate the datbase files.

No sound when playing video from iTunes on a Satellite M45

Hi,
After trying to play a video from iTunes on a Toshiba Satellite M45, the entire sound system went out. I think there is something wrong with the sound drivers or it/they can't be detected. I'm new to the PC world and any help in easy-to-understand terms will be grateful. Is there any destinations where I can download a new driver.
I need to fend off the insanity that's creeping in. Thanks.

I think you should firstly check the device manager if there are any yellow exclamation marks near to the sound card.
If yes so the sound driver reinstallation could help.
It seems that the notebook was designed for the US market. (because of the 5 at the end of the number)
So I think you should take a look on the US Toshiba site for driver updates.

I am actually having the same issue. In Settings, lock sounds and keyboard clicks switches are set to "on" but that does not resolve it. iTunes, videos, and game audio (in addition to lock sounds and keyboard clicks) will not work through the speaker, but all work when headphones are plugged in. Ringtones and text tones function normally.

Easy fix to play video from itunes on PC

OK Everyone who has the same problem of playing videos on a PC, and after a couple of seconds, your computer either crashes, or freezes/plays choppy, here is a very easy fix. I actually found it by reading other posts, and I can not remember who tried it first, so sorry to who it is that I can't give you credit, but thank you very much. All you need to do is have an external hard drive like what I am using (WD 160gig Passport). Copy your movie/tv shows files from your itunes file folder in your music folder on your computer harddrive to the external harddrive. Then just play it FROM your external harddrive using Quicktime, and it will work flawlessly! I don't know why it will not play from your computer, but it works with all videos from the external drive. Now go watch some movies!

Maybe yes but The only files are still playing in QuickTime is Purchased Movies. It's true when the player won't launch every time I'm trying to play an episode of a TV show. That's why.

My ipad2 says it cant play video from itunes

I have an ipad 2 and it will not sync video that was downloaded from itunes. It tells me that it did not sync the videos because they cannot be played on the ipad. It is doing the same thing to my iphone. I really want to watxh movies on my devices and i dont know what to do!!!

Weird if the video came from iTunes. Try a system reset. It's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.

IPad & iPhone only play video from iTunes store after iOS7 upgrade

I just noticed that my iPad and iPhone can only play content from the iTunes store now that I have upgraded them to iOS7. They can not even play videos that my iPhone recorded before the upgraded. They are also not able to play videos that I RIPPED from DVD's using Handbrake. It had no problem playing any of this content before upgrading. I can still play the videos though iTunes just fine. And my old iPhone that is still on iOS6 plays the videos just fine. Does anyone know of a work around to get iOS seven devices to play video that is not from the iTunes store?

Thanks tried that as well as a full restore of the iPhone. This seems to be by design. ITunes will not even sync the files to the iOS7 devices now. Says the files will not be copied because they can not be played, but my iOS6 devices can sync them and play them.

Apple TV 3 not playing music from iTunes Match.

I am unable to access music on iTunes Match on ATV 3. However Match works fine on my Windows based PC and my iPhone 5.
I can see all albums and artwork on ATV 3 but when I select to play I get "An error occurred loading this content". Netflix and other app previews etc work fine.
The software is up to date and I have tried restoring and re-booting with no success.
Can anyone help???

Thanks for getting back to me my problem is playinhg music from ATV3
I have tried restarting the router but no change.
However the ATV3 has the artist, cover artwork etc. but does not seem to be able to play (stream) and I still get the error message.
My iphone and PC currently play music from Match on the same network as the ATV3. I am even able to airplay music from laptop to ATV3 but not directly from ATV3.
So thanks for your help but this has not fixed the problem. I have never had these problems before.

Nano not playing downloadeds from itunes music

Help! I downloaded a song (for the first time) from ITunes music into my library. However, when i go to play the song on my Ipod it lists the song and the album cover but quickly goes back to the menu screen. I am unable to play the song on my ipod Nano. It clearly downloaded from Itunes because i am able to listen to it from my itunes just not on my ipod. How can i fix this problem?

HP 7 G2 not playing videos from NBA Game Time app

Not sure if anyone else had this issue, but the videos in NBA GameTime app does not play on my HP 7 G2.NBA GameTime: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nbadigital.gametimeliteIt basically plays the first second of the video clip & the video frame is stuck - but I can still hear the audio in the background.I have no issues playing the same video from other Android devices (ie my smartphone). Welcome to the HP forums. I understand you're unable to play video properly on the NBA Game-Time app on your HP 7 G2 tablet. Do you have the same issue streaming video from other apps? If you haven't tried yet, try YouTube or Netflix and let me know if the issue is on all streaming or just this app. These are the steps to take: Reinstall the problem app: Go to Settings > Storage > Apps > Select the app > Uninstall. Once uninstalled go to the Google Play Store app > Select My apps from the menu on the left > Select the All tab > Select the app > Install.
Clear all cache on the tablet: Settings > Storage > Cached Data. You should have the option to erase all the cached data here.
Hard reset: While the tablet is on, press and hold the power button for 8+ seconds to force shut down. Turn the tablet back on and see if that helps.
Factory reset: Make sure you backup any important files or information first. Settings > Backup & reset > Factory data reset. Thanks.
