when i hit the itune for my nano i come up with quicktime faild to initialize error#2093. went to download quicktime 7 and it says your current security settings do not allow to download this file. dont know which setting to change so it will download can any one tell me

Thats the only thing that shows up within a white box ... and the rest of the tabs on top ... no download.

Move its contents to the desktop, log out, and log back in. If everything works properly, it can just be deleted from the desktop.

I need help getting my laptop to update to yosemite so I can then have the quicktime download in order to watch lectures for college course. Can anyone help?

I need the download quicktime in order to watch these lecture videos. It said the new update for my laptop being the yosemite one has the quicktime download within it. However, I went and downloaded it and now it just keeps saying it is downloading and then about 10 minutes later a thing pops up saying it couldn't be downloaded check internet connection. So I keep clicking retry but it has happened like 3 times now and it won't successfully download. Did anyone else have this trouble? Or can anyone else help?

What is the file extension of the files you need to watch? (.mov, .mp4....)
What says the update for your laptop has QT within it ?
Can you provide a link to the page you're downloading from?
Is your internet connection otherwise OK?
Is the QuickTime Player app in your /Applications folder? What happens when you launch it?

QuickTime downloading but iTunes isn't

I had a older iTunes on my computer (7 something I think). Anyway I am looking into getting a iPod Touch so I tried to upgrade my iTunes. I deleted my old iTunes and downloaded the new one.
The Problem is, QuickTime downloaded fine and is working. But iTunes is no where to be found. What is my problem here?

Urgent Quicktime Download Issue

I have bought the full version of Quicktime and have it installed. I have downloaded an avi file (Xvid.PDTV [Ramp]) but it isn't showing any picture or playing any audio. Quicktime pointed me to the page that shows additional downloads but I'm not sure what I need.
Can anyone help? I'd really appreciate it.

The free versions of AVG are currently reporting a false positive for QuickTime. The same set of AVG definitions is also taking out the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware security application. Here's some discussion of the issue from the AVG forums:

Quicktime downloaded but not showing up in applications

For some reason Quicktime Players disappeared from my OS so I downloaded it again but it is not showing up in applications. Have rebooted but no luck.

QuickTime Player 7 installs in the Applications/Utilities folder.

Latest Quicktime download issue

I just downloaded the latest Quicktime and iTunes upgrades, and now when I go to websites, e.g., Weather.com, I'm getting a Quicktime icon with a question mark through it -- where flash animations used to play. I've tried downloading a new Quicktime plugin and resetting my FlipforMac, but it didn't help. Anyone know what this is and how I can resolve it? Thanks!

Which version of FireFox are you using?
Did you repair permissions prior to & after installing the update?
Make sure you have the latest versions of Adobe Flash Player Software.
Have you checked your QT MIME Settings?

Quicktime download eats environment disabling other program

I have a Bible Software program from Gramcord. The newest version of Quicktime (necessary for Itunes)apparently eats up so much environment space that now the Bible Program will not load. i am using a dos .cmd file to load which is supposed to clear the environment before loading but apparently Quicktime isn't included. Thoughts or solutions??

Hi, i have a problem: when i try to upgrade to Itunes 10.1 through Apple Software Update( but also when i've tried to do directly through Apple site ) , the download starts but it stops all the times at the same point ( just 7,50MB ... ). I've tried everything: i changed my firewall options, i've disabled Norton Smart Firewall, i've uninstalled Itunes and ALL Apple Components in EVERY folders then i've re-installed it using a itunes.exe taken from another computer (because ANY apple download is not possible through my computer, i don't know why, but before everything worked! ), but nothing.... Download stop at the same point.

No, i can't download ANYTHING, neither through Apple site nor through the Itunes software upgrade. Neither just Quicktime nor just ITunes. Both downloads stop and freeze after few MB. I'm going crazy to find why all this happening to me..... Maybe it's because i've installed another application and now it goes in conflict with iTunes?!? ( two months ago i've downloaded new codecs audio and video with K-Lite Codec Pack, plus Media Player Classic, but during installation i've lefted mp4 files association with iTunes ).

Quicktime download issues

i am trying to purchase quicktime pro, and they say i have to install the lastest quicKtime before i buy, well i have quicktime 7.1 and tried to download 7.2, when i get to select destination, it says i need 145MB of space, i have 1.78GB available, then it says ...you cannot install quicktime on this volume. this software requires Mac OS X version 10.4.9, well I have Mac OS X version 10.4.6..yet on the download page it says 10.3 or higher, HELP!

You need to upgrade to 10.4.9 (or 10.4.10) to install it on Tiger.
The instructions at the download page are a bit confusing and should read:
10.3.9 or 10.4.9 and higher.

Quicktime Download ERROR: -3 ???

When I try to download Quicktime, when the installation is nearly completed, this window pops up every time saying Quicktime ERROR: -3. What does this mean and what can I do to fix the problem and complete my installation of Quicktime? Any advice or knowlege is greatly appreciated, thank you!

My friend also has the exact same problem on his new pc. I did find something on the web that might help if you are familiar with workin in the registry. (note: this has helped others, but did not work for my friend)

Latest quicktime download, video's are distorted!

After downloading the latest update for i-tunes & quicktime, the videos neither play in my i-tunes or in quicktime. They appear as a mass of pink & green, the audio is ok but there is no picture. Can anybody help please?
